First time to visit Italian Garden. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We were very impressed with the food and service. Our waitress was super attentive and the food ranged from good to amazing. * Tortellini Alfredo (Amazing) * Fettuccine Creamora (Outstanding) * Shrimp Scampi w Angel Hair (Pretty Good) * Spaghetti w Meatballs (Good) Oh, forgot to mention.... the mozzarella sticks were very good, salad was okay but the bread was so amazing! Prices are also very reasonable, especially the lunch prices (ends at 3pm). Will definitely return!

I have nothing to regret about this place. It's just special. Small and cozy place to enjoy the great ambience and spend a great time to talk to with your couple or small group of friends. The food, it's just perfect. We loved the taste of the pizza and the lasagna. The portion is good enough and get ready full your stomach. Price is fair because the place and food worth it, it's not to expensive. Plenty of parking and well located. Of course we'll be there again and enjoy a bottle of wine, we didn't know before arriving but you can bring your own bottle! That's great.

Traveling through San Marcos we found this Italian Gem! Great food, great service, and the prices we so reasonable I had to remind myself it was 2022. Definitely plan to return, although we love eating BBQ this by far was a great choice. We congratulate the waitress, chefs and owners, “I’ll be back”……GOD willing 🙏🏼.

We recently visited Italian Garden in San Marcos and had a wonderful experience, driven primarily by fantastic service and some seriously delicious dishes. The service was great from start to finish—attentive, friendly, and efficient. What really sets this place apart is the thoughtful touches; we were sent home with extra bread rolls, which was a lovely gesture and much appreciated. It’s those small details that make a meal memorable. The food proved to be a mix of excellent hits and one dish that was just okay. We started with the Mozzarella Sticks, and they were exactly what you want: perfectly melted, crisp, and generously portioned—definitely a great appetizer. For the entrées, the Chicken Alfredo was absolutely delicious; the sauce was rich, creamy, and clearly the star of the show. We also really enjoyed the complimentary bread rolls—they were soft, warm, and highly addictive. The only dish that fell a little flat was the Eggplant Parmesan, which was decent but nothing spectacular. It was an "okay" dish that didn't quite match the quality of the rest of the meal. Overall, the wonderful service, excellent bread, and standout Chicken Alfredo make Italian Garden a place we’d happily return to for a classic, comforting Italian meal.

We gave Italian Garden a try hoping for a cozy, authentic dinner, but unfortunately, the food didn’t quite hit the mark. The sauce tasted like something straight from a jar (Ragu-style), and the noodles were borderline soggy. My kids’ meals lacked flavor — not enough herbs or seasoning to bring the dishes to life. That said, the ambiance had a nostalgic charm. The space is a little worn down, but in a way that reminded me of older, family-run cafés in Rome — simple, unpretentious, and with potential. Service was friendly, and I can see why locals might come for comfort food. But for us, it just wasn’t what we were hoping for in terms of flavor.

I’ve ordered here a few times, usually love it, however I paid $8 for an absolute SLIVER of cheesecake. I think that’s a little insane. Everything else is always wonderful with incredible portions, but this cheesecake was an absolute absurdity. I’m not pleased with this. $8 for a two bite slice is a joke.

Food was kind of average. Nothing to call home about but it definitely scratches the itch if you want some Italian food. I tried a few dishes and it all could have been better if there was more spices. It was very bland and the sub roll was a little dry. I will say that the food was cooked fast and the portions are great but if I try this place again, I will probably try some other dishes and order at a different time of the day. I ordered their eggplant parmiaga sub and the Manicotti Rolls. I will also say they should wrap the sandwich better for to go orders because there was sauce and cheese that had melted into the tin foil and it was messy unrolling it and a lot of the cheese was lost to do it sticking to the foil. Maybe earlier in the day the food is more flavorful and fresh. I did order after 6pm so I'm going to give benefit of the doubt and try this place one more time.

My wife and I recently dined here for dinner for the first time. The service was fast and efficient from ordering from the server to the server's delivery of the meals. The rolls with the herbal dipping oil were great; warm and chewy. We ordered the Crab Cakes as an appetizer. We were disappointed in them. They were deep fried, a little oily, and tasteless. I had the Fettuccine Alfredo with Sausage, Garlic and Onions. The sausage had a nice flavor, and overall this was an "OK" entree. My wife had the Chicken Spinach Cannelloni and was not overly impressed. The prices here are very reasonable. The atmosphere is lacking; pretty much a sit down, eat, and leave type of place. We were not impressed and doubt that we will return.

Came to visit my son and we stopped here to eat because he loves Italian. It was a 40-minute wait, though we did have a party of nine. Are waitress was decently friendly. She seemed to warm up the longer we were there. One thing I didn't like about this place is that the restrooms are outside the building in the back and people kind of come in and out the back. I did have a concern for the waitresses because their purses are right there on a shelf next to that door that leads to the back alley to go to that bathroom. Another thing I didn't like is that there was somebody who brought their cat in there and a backpack, and our waitress was petting that cat, though she did wash her hands several times before she went back to the kitchen. There was a guy later there I saw filling up cups of ice and at one point he grabbed a piece of ice or something from the part that catches, and picked it up with his hand and threw it in the customer's cup. So just some things that I wouldn't have wanted for myself. I did appreciate the girl washing her hands with soap several times. As far as the food goes, I thought it was just okay. My kids liked their barbecue pizza. I had the chicken parm, and it was just okay. My mom had the spinach pasta or something, and she loved it. The role is and everything else, just okay to me. Fleming about this restaurant is they don't upcharge you for having a larger party, though they only have one area, that I saw, to accommodate larger parties. It is a fairly small restaurant. Am I consider going back, again our waitress was very clean, and decently friendly. Another thing I didn't like was how cold it was and the restaurant. Literally blowing cold air on our table, we all had to grab our jackets at that point, and were still cold. I do realize it's a restaurant and it gets hot, it was just at the point that it made us leave earlier than we probably would have.

This used to be my wife's and I favorite Italian place. We ordered to go last night only to be very disappointed with the change. The chicken Parmesan is no longer two large portions, but now a single cafeteria flat small piece of chicken. The marinara sauce is now tomato paste from a can from what we can tell. Either it was a new cook on duty or they have changed their menu for the worst. We're hoping not the menu because this used to be a great place to eat. :(

Can only comment on food. 3rd time oredring to go. Like to give places chances but again not good at all. Zero flavor. Not even any salt. Many places over salt and thats the only flavor but this place doesn't even use that let alone anything else.

Called to see the wait time, was told no wait time. We get there, it was literally empty and was told it was an hour and forty five minute wait time!!!! WHAAATTT!!! It is empty!!! Extremely rude, avoid it. There’s better places to go. Don’t want to assume it was racial but that’s what it felt like. Go somewhere else.
