Really great atmosphere and even better food. The meat sauce is amazing- both drinks we tried were fantastic. Service was perfect. Already want to go back.

First time coming here, my veal was cooked to perfection and our meals were delivered quickly. The Chocolate Dream for dessert was a Dream come true! The ambiance is warm and vibes!

Fabulous experience, Joanne was our server and she was amazing. The food and cocktails were top notch.

Nunzio, made our evening spectacular there is literally not a better server in this state. Cibo is the closest thing to a Michelin Star experience in Winston-Salem. They are Family, I feel at home here.

Great atmosphere and the service was very attentive but not overwhelming! The food is delicious especially the pasta with the meat sauce and the lobster ravioli! We will definitely be back soon!

My husband and I had a very enjoyable dinner there last night. We were blessed to have JoAnne as a server, who is a fabulous asset to Cibo’s. Wine, dinner and atmosphere were amazing. We went around 5:30pm and it was quiet, the fire was soothing and had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend! All the dishes we’ve had were delicious.

We hosted a private event at Cibo and the team knocked it out of the park! I communicated a very detailed timeline, individual orders for 26 people and seating arrangements. The team at Cibo was fast, friendly, flexible and had my detailed notes printed upon arrival. Many guests raved about the food, thank for all your help in making our event a great success!! Only critique would be the noise from the kitchen that travels into the private dining space.

This place is always fantastic! We’ve never had a bad experience and we eat here often. Kendall is the best server and always takes care of us!

Joanne made me gain five pounds just describing the meals to us. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was inviting. I would have given 5s across the board but for the location of the restrooms. If you want to be transported for a meal, this is your place.

We are from Chicago and NYC so we know good Italian food. First off they give you unlimited bread and pesto butter, so good. The clam appetizer is so delicious very fresh. We had Lamb chops, Grilled Salmon and a side of Spaghetti with marinara. Ended with delicious chocolate cake. Very authentic.

JoAnne was so pleasant and attentive. She had wonderful recommendations and made us feel right at home!

The pesto butter and the squid ink linguini were AWESOME. Service was exceptional, helped us choose a great wine. Everyone from front to back was so friendly and welcoming. Easy parking around back. We will be back!

My wife and I really enjoyed the food, cocktails, atmosphere and service. Our server, JoAnne, was wonderful, as well.

I will start by saying, I don’t know much about Italian food. The food was solid and everything was cooked perfectly. I’ve had better, but my husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed it. We got the wagyu meatball as an appetizer. My husband got the veal special and I got the lobster ravioli. Everything was good but my husband didn’t care for the potatoes that came with his meal. It may have been too much rosemary for his taste. Our server, Johnny, was terrific! He knew everything about the menu and was really helpful with his recommendations, warning us about spiciness in case we had a sensitivity. The atmosphere is industrial and trendy, but the seats are close. We heard the girl next to us complaining the whole time. Before she even got food or drink, she said she wasn’t coming back. 😂 You can’t please everyone, and it goes to show that some people like to complain. I always recommend trying things out yourself. My experience could be very different from the next person’s. I would definitely go back and recommend going back and sitting in Johnny’s section.

This is our first time eating here and it was just a wonderful place. The food, the service, the atmosphere were all good.

My boyfriend took me for Valentines Day. The food was superb and our waitress was incredibly friendly. We walked as it wasn't too far from our hotel, though there is street parking up and down the road. Will be back!

From the moment we walked in the door until the moment we left, we had an excellent dinner. Was there for a casual business dinner. The server was extremely knowledgeable and prompt. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect for our dinner

Tried Cibo for the first time last weekend. we had a great time- food was fantastic. we will definitely be back! tip: ask for the spicy sauce (comes with the meatballs) on the side. its delicious!

We made reservation for a party of 13 for my birthday this weekend. I can't say enough about how wonderful the service was that we received from our server, Joanne! We had her as our server previously when it was just my boyfriend and myself, and we specifically requested her to take care of our large party and she was on top of EVERYTHING! The food was delicious, the speed of service was perfect and the atmosphere of this restaurant are perfect for date nights or special celebrations or anytime you want amazing Italian food. Thank you Joanne for taking such good care of our party and to all the staff that helped run food and take care of us.

Absolutely stunning! The service is incredible! Greg, our server was very animated and incredibly friendly, infor.ative, and personable. 100/10 for him. The food was served in very generous portions, and the bread service is to die for. Especially the butter! Probably the best I have had in quite a while. They have an excellent wine menu and Greg was very well versed in the selections. 10/10 all around, will definitely be back and will absolutely recommend to anyone seeking Italian fare in the triad area!

Had the wagyu meatball appetizer as well as Spaghetti al Sugo Di Carne. Overall, it was a great meal, and I would recommend it if you are looking for Italian meal downtown.

Giving it four stars for the service and atmosphere. This Italian restaurant is right in the heart of downtown Winston and the service is exceptional. I got the chicken Alfredo and a tiramisu for dessert. I am nitpicking but the chicken Alfredo looked a bit sloppily plated (see how the sauce is sloshed outside the plate)? But it could have just accidentally spilled over in transit. No complaints about the taste- I’m not blown away but it was good Italian food. Tiramisu was delicious. Overall I would consider coming here again just for the vibe.

We went the day after Valentine’s Day for a late dinner and had a nice time. The place was packed so I would encourage a reservation. Some of the dishes were better than others. The highlights for us were their table bread with the best butter you ever tasted and their wagyu meatballs appetizer. Those alone deserve five stars. However, the lasagna and the lamb chops entree were let downs. Definitely wished we could have enjoyed them. The clam appetizer was fine just a tad bit overdone. We are open to going back, trying some other dishes, and hopefully liking them much better.

From start to finish this place performed as expected. We came on a busy Friday night and asked the hostess if there's any chance in us getting a spot and she said close to an hour away. But we decided to wait since we have been wanting to go here for a long time. We walked around downtown waiting in roughly 15 minutes after placing our reservation, and the hostess called and said we had a table ready! We sat outside of the courtyard which is very beautiful and romantic. From the drinks, appetizers, and main course everything was firing on all cylinders. The only thing that missed was my wife's steak. It was overcooked when it first came out, and with a brief talk with the manager, she encouraged us to send it back for a new one. When the new one came out it was blue rare. Note taken, don't order steak from an Italian restaurant I had to veal in a white cream sauce and it was the best veal I have ever eaten. The wagyu meatballs were the best meatballs I have ever had and will return just to have those again!!! The service was excellent and the atmosphere was top notch.

First time patron. Prompt service initially but waned through the meal.Good food -we had veal piccata and seafood in cognac sauce served with mushroom risotto. Wish there were more pasta options other than just spaghetti or fettuccine, though. Will definitely return to explore other menu items..

Nice group dinner. 2nd time visiting. Meal prep / service was a little disjointed. No one seemed to know who ordered what dishes. On the filet mignon, I'd recommend lightening up on the sage flavoring. The entire dish tastes like sage. Would be incredible without the sage. Will still visit again. Good place!

Food was terrific. We had everything from wagu meatballs, Brussel sprouts, black bass, and pasta dishes. Kathy our waitress was wonderful. Attentive, knowledgeable, fun, didn't rush us, pleasant to talk with. We give 3 for atmosphere because we were on the back level which is not as good as the main dining room. It's for larger groups and we had five. We've been in the main dining room and it's a much better ambiance. O real, we'll definitely come back again. Great spot!

First time guest. Atmosphere was very inviting and hostess was very accommodating, no snootiness. Server was quick to greet us. He knew all of the specials. We ordered a frutto di mare and eggplant parmesan. The sauce on both dishes was fantastic. But the rest of the meal was okay, especially given the price. I measure the food in terms of value. Glad I tried it at least once.

Solid food and service, but a bit underwhelming overall We visited after seeing all the great reviews, and while the food was good, it didn’t quite blow us away. I had the New Zealand lamb, which was nicely cooked, though the polenta on the side lacked flavor for my taste. My partner’s Alfredo was solid. Service was very good—attentive and professional. The restaurant itself is nice, but something about the atmosphere didn’t feel as warm or welcoming as we expected. For the price and quality, it’s a decent spot and I’d give it another shot—maybe with a different dish next time

The first time we went to this restaurant the food was amazing and decided to go back but not sure if the chef changed because the food was under-seasoned, no Italian spices taste or enough salt. My husband asked for medium steak but he received it rare…not dinning there again….sorry.

The food came out way too fast. The roasted potatoes were dry, and the green beans tasted like they were been cooking too long. The Sea Bass was very good. When you pay that much for food, you expect it to be cooked to order.

The spaghetti meat tasted like cat food—definitely not the worst meal ever, but far from worth the $18. The flavor and texture were pretty bad. That said, the service was absolutely amazing! Sarah was sweet, kind, attentive, helpful, and answered all my questions with a smile. She truly made the evening special. This review isn’t meant to be rude—just honest about the food. The restaurant itself was clean and beautiful, and the service was wonderful!

Ordered takeout on a Saturday and hands down the worst food we have had in Winston-Salem. Obviously when you order takeout there isn’t an expectation it will be as good if it were served in-house, but the veal piccata was inedible. We were sure to place our order early in service, as it is a Saturday night and we did not want to overwhelm the kitchen. If you are going to market yourself as upscale Italian and charge those type of prices, this cannot be the product you are putting out. Perhaps reconsider serving takeout if this is the standard.

This was the most inedible meal I’ve eaten in years. Baked clams were fishy, the chicken Francese was chicken tenders soaked in a sauce with cold potatoes. Waygu meatballs were ok but the sauce was so spicy my fiancé couldn’t eat them. The rack of lamb was freezer burned. And the manicotti was two mozz sticks wrapped in soggy pasta. Service was terrible as well.

We arrived for our 5:30 reservation and the restaurant was virtually empty. We requested a high chair and was told none were available, they were all reserved. A staff member later told us there is only one highchair and that it was already reserved. We went elsewhere and had a delicious meal, spending $300. If you are dining with a small child, beware.

We were really looking forward to trying this Italian restaurant for a nice upscale date night. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing from the start. We were the first customers in the restaurant. The host brought us water and told us our server would be right over. Ten minutes passed and no one came to our table. During that time, another table was seated and immediately helped by a waitress sitting directly across from us. We waited an additional five minutes while multiple staff members walked past us and even peeked around corners, but no one acknowledged us or offered service. After waiting with no attention at all, we decided we would not spend our money at a place that shows such poor customer service. We left and went around the block to Spotted Cow Steakhouse, where we enjoyed every bite of our meal and received wonderful customer service. We will not be returning here and would not recommend this restaurant based on our experience.
