Absolutely the most friendly staff I've ever encountered at a restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. Plus the way they've decorated the place is really quite nice, especially the outdoor seating area. I'll have to come back and try more of the menu!

I had no idea this place was there! And I'm angry it took so long. The food was fantastic (I had the brown stew chicken, a beef patty and a chicken patty). The staff was very friendly. And I'm sure that when there's no pandemic affecting things, the patio and tiki area are probably a lot of fun places to have a meal and just relax. The prices were a bit more than some of the other places I've been to in Central FL. But that is probably because of the location. There's nothing like it for miles. And the lease for this building is probably pretty high. So I won't take off too many points for that. I will definitely be back.

My 1st time eating at restaurant yesterday. The jerk chicken was really good nicely seasoned and flavorful. My only complaint was the rice and peas was not enough peas more of a rice dish and the fried dumpling was greasy. Overall it was really good and I plan on coming back to try other dishes.

The food is sooo delicious and the service is wonderful. This has just become my new favorite restaurant in the area.

I love this place! I found it the day we moved to the area and needed to get food as we were unpacking. That was 4 years ago and we go there at least once a week now. We are Jamaican and also use them when we need catering for a party. The food is consistently good and the staff is friendly. Jerk chicken, oxtail, curry goat are all great. I also regularly get their soups. I have another Jamaican restaurant closer to the house but will gladly drive to Sunshine instead. Keep up the good work and I’ll keep coming in.

My food was so delicious today that I'm writing this review. I had the estovich fish dinner and every thing was fresh and tasty.

I had the curry goat and my friend had the jerk chicken. My goat was cooked to perfection, spicy, and tender. The rice was perfect. Plantains, fried dumpling, and cabbage salad was something new and fun. I truly enjoyed myself!

If you're in Winter Garden and looking for delicious Caribbean food this is the place. The Jerk chicken is delicious and the serving size is huge and at a decent price. The staff are genuinely welcoming and make you feel like family.

While the high-quality, delicious food is exactly what you'd expect from the Caribbean Sunshine brand I've loved since childhood, this location offers so much more. Beyond the amazing cuisine, I was delighted to discover their charming dining room and outdoor patio. While perusing their website for catering options, I noticed they also host events—and just in time for my dad's 81st birthday party! I was able to secure the venue with about a month's notice, and speaking with the owner, Mrs. Karen, made the entire planning process a breeze. She and her husband are so cool, hospitable, and professional. Not only did she help me finalize the menu and food quantities, but she also provided great recommendations for decorations and music and even offered some helpful cost-saving tips. We were all touched when her husband stopped by and recognized my father! On the day of the event, the setup was more than I could have imagined. They had everything perfectly arranged, even including extra fans and tents to keep everyone comfortable in the heat. It felt just like being back on the beautiful island of Jamaica, with the only thing missing being a refreshing ocean breeze. The ample parking made it easy for everyone to get there, and the staff was professional, accommodating, and went above and beyond for both me and my guests. In fact, everyone loved the food so much that several people ordered extra food to take home! I've received nothing but rave reviews from my family and guests about the party, and I truly hope to host another gathering at this venue since my family enjoyed it so much. If you're looking for a venue to host a party or event with an authentic island vibe and consistently delicious food, this is the place. You won't be disappointed!

Great jerk chicken, cabbage, rice & peas, and plantain. The jerk chicken had a very slight spicy kick and was cooked well. The veggies were freshly made and not oily/ salty at all. Oxtail was good too but not as enjoyable as the jerk chicken! Staff was super friendly and this location takes their covid policy seriously - a mask is required to enter, and staff sanitize their hands between contact points. The interior is cozy and there's a nice patio adjacent to the restaurant for dining on warmer days.

This is definitely now my go to restaurant for delicious Jamaican food. My Jamaican mother in law would approve! Just don’t tell her that I think this curry goat is better than hers. The spicy beef patties are made fresh in house and THAT CRUST!!!! They ran out by midday and some customers here waited over 20 minutes for the next batch, hot out of the oven. Yum!!!

The catering we ordered for our party was a great experience and absolutely delicious. The prices were extremely fair. The amount of food was more than we could have asked for. We had 40 people at the party and had tons of leftovers. Everyone raved about how delicious, unique and authentic the food was.

I drive all the way from Maitland and Apopka just to eat here. The Jerk chicken is the BEST. The bark is nice, charred, and flavorful. The brown stew is savory, and the rice and peas are cooked through and well. The service is always friendly and everything is always CLEAN.

Finally We found a real authentic Jamaican restaurant!! Food here is excellent. Please check out there fish fry every last Friday of the month, vibes and music is great.

Started out a bit disorganized because they forgot that 10 people were due that day. After that the food was very good and the chef and also owner came to us individually to make sure that we were very satisfied with his foods. I have Never tried Jamaican foods before but the food was delicious and especially the sauces. I. Would rate it a 9 out of 10 to Go again. The one thing I did not like was No Menus. Thank goodness for our director who arranged this last week, he helped tremendously since he has been in the restaurant business for years.

The food here is good, jerk chicken was a minute away from being dry but tasty. My wife had the curry chicken which was very good, had white and dark meat with no additional charge. My brother has oxtails, they were good also but a little pricey for the size of the small plate. Brown stew chicken gravy saved the rice and peas, that was definitely too dry by itself. The patties had a nice flavor. I'm new to the area and was looking for a good Caribbean spot, I was not too disappointed and would definitely go back.

The owner, Peter is always courteous and takes feedback well in order to improve on service. Great location!

Used the order on line service to order chicken wings. Unfortunately the WG location does not do chicken wings. Only the John Young location has them. I got the jerk chicken instead with rice and peas. It was a lot of chicken for two people however it was delicious. We had leftovers and enjoyed them for lunch. The food is very good! My husband said the staff was friendly upon picking up the order. I would have given them five stars had it not been for the website error. Really do wish they would consider bringing the jerk chicken wings to winter garden because they’d be the best.

"Hiden Gem". I had family visiting so we went there to eat. I had the jerk chicken and him and his wife had the curry. The place was a nice quiet seat down. The outdoor part looks amazing but they no longer use it for fish fry Friday's, that part is sad. It would make an amazing weekend spot to go and not have to drive downtown Orlando. Hope the owner reconsider. They do rent the outdoor per hour. So if you celebrating you can rent it.

Came here for for the first time last week. The jerk chicken dish was very good. The portion size was good too. I got the medium and it was plenty of food, so the large must be huge. The peas and rice and the cabbage were both on point. The chicken itself was tender and juicy. Only complaint is that the sauce was on the side and not incorporated in the chicken. Also, lots of bones to pick through. Other than that, this is a great spot if your craving authentic Jamaican cuisine!

A HIGHLY INCONSISTENT restaurant. It’s 50/50 for me. I am giving it 2.5 stars. When they get it right, they do amazing. The food is hot and fresh and tasty. On the contrary, there have been several times that I have been terribly disappointed because they are always ‘out’ of food, or my order was missing an item or two, or the food was cold, or the phone was ringing but they didn’t answer. I normally go on Saturdays. I think most restaurants anticipate the most sales on Saturday and prep more food than other slower weekdays. Not this one. They can sell all their food (party tray) to customers and by the time it’s lunch time 1-2pm there is nothing left and you have to wait 15 mins to an hour. Even with the most popular item, jerk chicken, sometimes I’m unlucky and they’ve run out by the time I arrive. I’ve never had a bad experience with any of the staff. But I must say the inconsistency is incredibly frustrating. You just have to try your luck and hope you go on a good day.

I’m honestly unhappy that I have to write this review, but at this point I think it’s only fair for me to warn other potential customers. I have enjoyed food from this restaurant often and regularly. However, recently, I’ve had major issues with getting refunds from orders that the restaurant has cancelled themselves. The first time this happened, it took weeks of calls trying to catch a manager on the phone. The issue was eventually resolved, but it was a massive headache. This time, I placed an order for delivery on their revamped website. Unbeknownst to me, the order was cancelled within minutes because one of the items I ordered was not available. When I checked on the tracking for the order, l about 20 minutes after ordering, that’s when I realized what happened and I found out why when I called the restaurant to confirm. I assumed at this point that the pending charge on my credit card would go away, but imagine my shock when I checked a couple days later and saw that the charge had gone through!! This is really frustrating, and I don’t think I’m going to return to Caribbean Sunshine ever because of this. I have initiated a dispute through my card because I refuse to go through the ordeal of talking to the restaurant again. It’s just unbelievable that the people at the restaurant aren’t equipped to take care of refunds properly. Disappointing, because their food is pretty good, but not worth the mess it seems to cause around payments.

I ordered a large red peas soup, and I basically got all liquid with no meat and no food.

Went to this location at 5:30 pm but told that their jerk chicken, white meat (breast and wing) is only sold with the 8 piece jerk box. There is no displayed menu. When asked if the sell jerk chicken meals, I was told only with. Leg and thigh (dark meat) only. So you don’t cater to persons eating preference and we basically had to leave without eating.

Pains me to post this but I ordered oxtails and almost choked on a plastic wrapper in my food. I called the restaurant which is over 35 min away and explained she said ok come back with the food not eaten and we will refund or make you a new one. So now I have to take an hour out of my day and gas to go get the plate I should have received correctly cooked and free of plastics. I cannot take an hour off from work I explained to go and do this. I can send you video and photos she said no I need the food. She said your food cannot be eaten so place it in the freezer until you can bring it. Not apologetic or anything… horrible and kind of disgusting. Now out of lunch and $20 dollars
