Just what Winter Park was craving, an incredible, authentic Mexican restaurant. The location is clean and you can tell it’s been updated recently. The family that owns it is incredibly hospitable and caring. I had to come to a screeching halt and take a picture of my plate before there wasn’t any to take a picture of!

This is a new restaurant and is near our second home so we had to try it out. The interior of the restaurant is freshly painted and has new flooring and is really clean. They have portraits of handsome Mexican matadors, beautiful singers and an obligatory portrait of Pancho Villa to set the aura. We ordered a couple of plates and they were quite tasty. The chicken is quite tender and was well-presented. I was pleasantly surprised that my plate came with guacamole and I had forgotten to ask for it. Recommended and we we shall return.

I had the Carne Asada at lunch on a day so cold I had to walk to the closest spot. The warmth from the smile of the Bartender /Server made the walk worthwhile even before I got my lunch. They are set up with pool tables and a Denver Sports Theme in the bar area, looks like a good spot to see a game.

Don Dany in Winter Park is a cozy, casual spot serving up fresh and flavorful Mexican dishes. The service is warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is festive — with a fun patio, yard games, and even pool tables inside. Highlights include their street tacos, fajitas, chilaquiles, and prawn cocktail. Portions are solid, and prices are reasonable for the area. It’s a perfect place to unwind after a day outdoors or enjoy a relaxed meal with family and friends.

A very disappointing experience. Service was slow and inattentive. More importantly, I paid the bill with my charge card with a specified tip included. When I checked my credit card receipt online, the server had entered a higher tip for himself than what I had specified. I have never experienced such unethical behavior at a restaurant before.

This had become our go to meal out in WP but tonight is likely our last visit. Server couldn’t get off their phone, we were the only table in the place and everything was slow. $3 charge for a spoonful of sour cream and $16 for the smallest combo plate ever served. The icing on the cake was the forced 20% tip, including paying tip on the sales tax. Be careful if you spend over $80, no matter party size, they add on the tip. Food bad, service horrible, you are still paying an inflated tip. As frequent customers who always tip well, it was a last straw for us.

Not the best. Flavors were lacking. Tortillas came from the grocery store. Food was forgotten and the margarita came straight from a premixed bottle. Will not be returning

We went in for dinner and were seated by the host. He gave us some chips and salsa. More than 35 minutes later not a single waiter came over to get our order while tables around us had ordered and been served including the tables on either side of us. It was almost like we were invisible. There was about 5 seated tables out of 25? I guess I know why now. We ended up leaving. As we left we got “have a good night” from both one of the waiters and the bartender who were sitting by the front door… really a shame because it would have been great to get a post ski margarita especially since we were traveling from out of town!

The food was mediocre at best and they added 20% gratuity for our party of 5. Which consisted of my husband, myself and our three children. Each of my children got a qusadilla, my husband and I each got street tacos, I ordered a side of refried beans that came to the table cold...with the $30.00 automatic gratuity for mediocre food and service our lunch bill was almost $200.00! Definitely feel our money would have been better spent elsewhere. We'll be skipping this restaurant when we come to town from now on!! Take my word for it, pick another restaurant in town.

While the food was decent you get charged 20% Gratuity. We were just visiting im not sure if everyone gets charged the same. Food was just ok for the price. Felt a litle on the high end. 5 dollars per taco. 3 people eat 20. So kind of small. Nearly 30 in gratuity. So be prepared if you go. I feel it should be pointed out at the beginning.
