Opinions de The Exchange 1874 Woodbridge
Amazing food. Service was excellent. You get a big glass of water unlike most restaurants who give you a 4 oz glass of water. Steak was so good. Chocolate cake was excellent. No crime here, unlike Stockton where your car can get broken into.
After doing some wine tasting with my wife in Lodi, we decided to grab dinner before heading back home. We came across an interesting-looking restaurant and bar, so we decided to give it a shot. The atmosphere was incredible—it felt like we were transported back to the Prohibition era, enjoying cocktails and good food in a speakeasy. The décor really nailed that vintage vibe, and the service was just as impressive. Our waiter, who also worked the bar, was super attentive and made some of the best drinks we’ve had. He let us know there would be live music later that evening, but unfortunately, we couldn’t stick around long enough to catch it. We’ll definitely have to come back sometime to enjoy the music with a good Old Fashioned in hand. I ordered the ribeye steak, and it was a solid, flavorful cut—no complaints there. Overall, the place had great food, excellent service, and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere.
Wow, wow, wow! Exchange knocked it out of the park! Came here on Monday night, for a double date with my wife and friends. Beginning with the drinks 10/10, the bartender Sammy was not only knowledgeable but super sweet and attentive! I had the smoked old fashioned which felt full, rich and substantial to the pallet. My wife had the Florence which was very floral, aromatic and perfectly balanced. For starters we shared the mussels and calamari, the mussels came drowned in a savory garlic sauce and the calamari was crisp and tender. For the dinner course I had the 14oz rib eye (medium rare) and my wife the salmon. The rib eye was not only perfectly charred but also well seasoned and literally melted in your mouth. In summary we will be back and excited to try all the other many dishes and drinks they have to offer! Thank you! Another thing to note is all the details and attention to not only the building but the chairs, tables, glasses and lights! There is a charm to this place that comes with a feeling of mystery that transports you to the late 1800’s! I would recommend the exchange 1874 to anyone!
This is a great bar. We had appetizers and cocktails. I had the Tequila Paloma, we also had the Smoked Old Fashions. We paired this with Broiled Bone Marrow, Pork Belly Tacos and the Tempura Artichokes. Everything was excellent. Go soon, the Bartenders were EXCELLENT! I recommend 👌
I love the exchange 1874. The ghost lounge has the coolest speakeasy Vibe, we been here about 3 times now and we always sit at the bar. Sammi & Brie always takes care of us. They're crafted bartenders and so pleasant to chat with. We have yet to sit in the dining area, we like sticking to the bar lounge. Did I Mention this place is haunted and it has history. Go and hear the employees stories, sammi told us one. I must not forget the delicious entrees and appetizers are so good to each pallet. Did someone say cocktail time? 😋
Met a high school friend for lunch. Alisha was our server who was extremely helpful with the menu. She made sure we had a pitcher of water and checked on us frequently. Super friendly! She took photos of us for a keepsake of our visit. This was our first time at the restaurant. We will definitely be back with our spouse.
Fantastic fresh food and drinks. We had the oysters, pork belly, swordfish and rib-eye. All tender and cooked to perfection. Loved the decor, our waiter Mo was the best! We will definitely be back!
Loved this place!!! Tiffany gave us amazing service and the food was exceptional. The pork belly was to die for. My date ordered the chicken Maricela and I ordered the chicken strawberry salad, hands down GREAT!

The Exchange 1874’s Ambiance is great. I like the speak easy vibe in the ghost lounge. Food is always good and consistent. A great place for a get together with our friends and family. Our favorite is the lamb chops and beet salad.
Hubby and I decided to go to the "Ghost Bar" located inside of the Exchange.... WOW 💯 The atmosphere was just what we have been looking for! There was live Jazz playing, lighting ✨️ was romantic! It felt swanky.... and not like we were in Lodi!! I have told everyone I know about our experience! We are already planning our next date 📅
This is a great place for a nice dinner! The filets were absolutely amazing — I honestly wanted to order a second one. It’s easily the best filet I’ve had locally. The desserts were delicious as well and definitely worth saving room for. The service was friendly and helpful throughout our visit. We did have to ask for refills a couple of times, but other than that, everything was well taken care of. From the moment we walked in to the time we left, every employee we interacted with was welcoming and pleasant. One of the people in our group has a gluten allergy, and the restaurant was able to accommodate them with ease, which we really appreciated. We’ll definitely be back soon! Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Very nice ghost lounge 👌 visually pleasing and the vibes are cool as soon as you walk in. drinks are on point. And the food that ive gotten has been good. No complaints.
Quite possibly the best meal I have ever had in my life! My friends and I tried The Exchange for the first time and all of our meals were incredible! From the appetizers to the main course to the cheesecake for dessert. Ill be dreaming of this food!!! I recommend the filet mignon with mashed potatoes, hands down. You won't regret it.
Just had one of the best dining experiences I've had in years tonight celebrating my sons birthday at the Exchange here in Lodi, the hostess and staff went to extra efforts to make sure me and my guess were comfortable and the meal superb! Highly recommend anyone wanting good food, service and atmosphere, to plan an evening to dine to stop in, you find something to fit your taste and no disappointment.
We arrived early and asked to sit inthe Ghost Lounge until the rest of our party arrived for dinner. The atmosphere and specialty drinks were fantastic. We were then seated for dinner and we were served by Lacey who was very kind and helpful. I had the chicken marsala which prepaired perfectly. Our friends had the duck and said it was also wounderful. Plentiful and appetizing to the max. Pricey but worth the experience. We will do it again...

Wanted to go to a nice place for my 67th birthday, and decided to look in the Woodbridge area of Lodi for options. The only place really speaking to me, when looking at reviews and pictures, was the Exchange. It's a very old, and haunted, steakhouse and speakeasy, going back to the wild west days. It has a wonderful ambiance. Everyone is very friendly. Even had convos that seemed so easy, with other patreons. Our food was delicious.Brussel Sprouts appetizer was a wonderful start. They poured me a nice glass of local Sauvignon Blanc I had the ribeye, which had a great seer. My wife had the cheese ravioli, which melted In your mouth. I found out they also have jazz music on Wednesday, and weekend brunch. bon appetite. Will definitely be back

Last night was our 4th dinner at 1874, and it was once again, superb! We started with the asparagus appetizer special which was especially tasty (& a nice break from most restaurants’ deep-fried asparagus offerings). My wife thoroughly enjoyed her salmon entrée, and my thick, yet perfectly cooked filet mignon was the most tender and flavorfully rich I can ever remember having … anywhere. Our waiter (for the 2nd time), was Alain. He is a top-notch professional with a great attitude, right-on timing, useful suggestions, etc., and made the great food that much more enjoyable. After dinner (in the Dining Room) we went to 1874's Ghost Lounge to enjoy the live jazz (Alex Reyes trio) over some Key Lime Pie and Bread Pudding which were also super tasty. We’re really looking forward to our 5th and future visits!
I recommend for everyone to try this place to make up your own mind however, here is my experience...Place is nicely decorated, friendly staff, has a great bar with great drinks and live music in the bar area. That said, when it came to food, during our first and only visit, the wait time to order food after being seated was almost an hour. When the food came, the steaks were very very very salty, to the point where both of us had a few bites and left the rest. We didn't even want to bring home the leftovers for the dogs. It was obvious that they didn't have enough staff as, after being seated, it took almost 30 minutes for our order to be taken, almost an hour to receive the food and almost 30+ minutes to receive the bill after we asked for it. During this time, we hardly saw our waiter, who by the way was very nice. Again, this was our experience and yours may be completely different than ours.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. I made a reservation expecting a fine dining experience with a full entrée and dessert menu. However, when I arrived, I was handed only an appetizer/bar menu and was told they had “switched from fine dining to bar food.” The classic menu items were no longer available and I was still able to see those online on the website dinner menu. So it felt deceptive and misleading.
My wife and I went here following the Valentines day wine and chocolate wine event in Lodi. Turned out to be a big dissapoinment. We didnt have a reservation and were told it was fully booked so the only place to sit was at the bar. No problem with that as we will often eat at the bar. We quickly learned it was a price fixe menu for dinner. Again that was understandable. Wr asked if we could get some bread even though it wasnt on the menu and they accomodated us. First hint that this wasnt going to be great was they served oil and balsalmic with the bread but it was together in one small bowl. The balsalmic layered on the bottom so the bread would absorb all the oil and it was nearly impossible to get balsalmic. Admittedly I am nitpicking but it turned out to be a sign of their attention to detail. The meal started with ceaser salads. Neither mine or my wife had any noticeable dressing. A very dry ceasar. I had the salmon which was very good. My wife had the chicken marsala which had zero flavor. The chicken tasted boiled. There was no marsala taste. And one funky mushroom on top. Both our mashed potatoes were chunky and tasteless. I dont believe they used anything to season them. Very bland. My veggies were good and well seasoned so I know they have seasoning back there! Fir dessert my wife had the seasonal fruit crisp and I had the chocolate cake or torte. I cant remember exactly. My chocolate was ok. Nothing special and remineded me of a frozen dessert yiu could get at the store. My wifes crisp was clearly not cooked at all. The apple chunks and blueberries were raw and the crisp was barely lukewarm. The Ice cream scoop on top was good though. At $75 each we were greatly dissapointed. Especially my wifes selectiins since none of her courses met even basic expectations. We did mention our issues to the serving bartender and she was quick to delete one of the meals from our tab which was gracious and fair. This was our first time here and do plan on trying it again and hope this was just an anomaly but I have my doubts that it was.
Update: I hadn't seen Anna there in a while and with every visit. I kept finding that the whole place is a lackluster, money pit of despair. I think Anna must have quit?? Whatever the situation, turns out this place is nothing without her. Nothing they have is worth a dang, turns out I only liked the vibe there because Anna made it great. And now it's just pretentious, poorly managed, bleak, depressing and mediocre in every way. And oh my dear God it is over-priced for what it is. Their profit margin must be through the roof! If you've got this kind of money, go somewhere where the employees are better, happier, friendlier, at least less cranky. These ones are clearly abused. I hope the best for them. OUTDATED REVIEW, NO LONGER ACCURATE: The bar area had incredible atmosphere and the most delightful bar tender named Anna. I'm not positive she isn't the same woman in the large portrait adorning the wall above the liquor shelving. 10/10, would cocktail again.

I always hate to say negative things about a business or the service I received, however sometimes it needs to be said. It all started when we walked in and after 5 minutes, I had to go find someone to seat us. Needless to say, we weren't greeted by anyone. Finally we were seated and placed our orders, they were delivered but wait my story gets better, we had placed our dinner orders and it seemed like it was taking a while, that's because 30 minutes had gone by and we were the only ones there. Finally out meals come I ordered chicken Marsala which was a little salty but still very good and probably would have been really good had it been hot. It had apparently sat somewhere long enough to cool down significantly. I let it go though, dinner had already been a disappointment. What gets me is I used to be a server, I know what it entails. I expect a certain level of service.
We booked a reservation at The Exchange in Woodbridge, CA for a birthday celebration, and it ended up being one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve ever had—before we even had a chance to order. We paid $150 to reserve specific seating at the bar, but when we arrived, the hostess (Star) was shockingly rude and unwelcoming. We showed up nearly 30 minutes early and still ended up waiting over an hour to be seated. When the hostess finally attempted to seat us, she informed us without any real explanation that our table had been moved. Her reasoning was confusing and contradictory, and instead of honoring the reservation we paid for, she tried to seat us upstairs, which we clearly explained would not work for our celebration. After unnecessary back-and-forth, they eventually sat us at the table we had already reserved and paid for. Our waitress poured water but never brought menus, so we waited… and waited. After almost 20 minutes with no menus and no acknowledgment, our group decided it was best to leave and take our business elsewhere. For a restaurant that charges for reservations, we expected at least basic professionalism and courtesy. Unfortunately, The Exchange failed on both fronts.
