Absolutely amazing restaurant Started out with appetizer little pieces of bread with seasoning and the marinara sauce you can tell was absolutely homemade delicious The olive oil oil was and bread matched that of the quality of Italy the Branzino fish dish was absolutely amazing. The vegetables were crisp and fresh. The carrots were delicious. My family ordered the medallion steaks were also exceptional The chicken dish and the seafood pasta was also as good as the rest of the dishes For dessert, the tiramisu and the tart with vanilla ice cream and the dark chocolate tropics were to die for Would highly recommend this place if you’re interested in a totally authentic experience that matches the quality of the best restaurants in all of Italy

Adagio is the kind of restaurant that's hard to find in LA. It's old-school and owns it. Frank Sinatra, if he was still around would feel at home here. (Actually, a cameo by him or his pack would have made a nice addition to the evening.) The food is top notch classical American-Italian food. It's not trying to be overly fancy, it's just trying to be good. (And it succeeds.) You can come here for a date or special occasion, or be a regular and come every week (which was clearly the case for several other patrons.) Don't skip the deserts.

I went here once years ago just because it has been there forever and it was close by my house. I wasn't expecting much but I was surprised to find the food was very good at the time they did a tableside Ceasars salad that was the best Ceasar salad I've ever had. They don't do it tableside anymore but it still tastes just as good. I've been coming in more frequently and trying to taste something different every time and so far everything ive tried is great, in particular the calamari is so good, I know this is not the thing to highlight perhaps but when you find a good calamari, you need to point it out. It's light and crispy not greasy not clumpy it's just perfect and it's served with a light tomato sauce, again it's just perfect!! Their Ossobuco with risotto is sublime the seafood is always great the feel scallopini with the fontana cheese and one with lemon and caper I think there may be another one but haven't gotten there yet but all great. Their pastas are all very good deserts are all tasty, they have a fiull bar and a decent wine list . It's all around a great restaurant. If I were to pick on them the only thing I could say is the interior is a little dated, but with that said I wouldn't want it any other way. Adaghio is a local small old school Italian restaurant it's not Felix or Mozza or Bestia it's Adagio. If you are from back east this is a local little Italy place that you can be comfortable in and have an excellent meal served by a great front end staff, and cooked by a great kitchen staff. I've been a chef for 35 years I would be proud to have this restaurant as one of mine it's truly a great neighborhood gem.

On a whim, we decided to try this restaurant for dinner. It's a little hole in the wall, yet when you enter it's a fairly large size room which was packed with diners at 8 pm. The clientele was, shall I say, a more mature crowd. I'm sure most were regulars because as they left they all greeted the owner.... We had minestrone soup (hot and served directly out of the cooking pot into my bowl!), sand dabs, Caeser salad, fettuccine with chicken.... The choices were varied, and everything was perfectly cooked. The menu is extensive, and the chef will make it the way you want it. We declined dessert, instead enjoyed a cocktail and wine and the bill (with tax, before tip) was around $90. A good deal! Definitely be going back!

I've known Claudio for 25 years. This is the best restaurant in Los angeles. My 90 year old mother asked me if this is my favorite restaurant. I said yes. I live 100 miles north. If I see spaghetti on TV or in person. I say not a chance. I'll wait for Adagio.

Quaint little Italian restaurant. The owner greets everyine that comes through the door. Limited bar but decent drinks. The pre meal arancini balls, even though they dont seemed to be filled with cheese, and the sliced bread with mushroom sauce are delicious. The pasta with chipped clams was very good. The white wine sauce was perfect and having bread to wipe the plate clean is a must. The chicken of the chicken parmesan was crisp and juicy. The only down side were the side vegetables were hard and bland. They should somehow yes the white wine sauce from the pasta dish in the vegetables. Overall a nice restaurant with good food that won't break the bank.

Great restaurant! This was our first time dining here, and we enjoyed the intimate family style atmosphere and generous portions. The bolognese pasta was excellent and both desserts (tiramisu and warm apple tart) were great as well.

I have been living in the West Valley for YEARS and have always wanted to try this restaurant. Finally for my birthday, my husband made it happen. It's a hole in the wall restaurant with a nice sized dining room. It's VERY UN-pretentious! Portion sizes are good and everything is reasonably priced and not ridiculous. The lighting is lovely. The crowd is definitely more mature and they are regulars that dine here. The ceiling definitely needs to be replaced. It was a lovely experience and it was slow dining at its finest. I did not feel rushed at all! :) I would definitely go back.

Food is fine—good neighborhood spot, not a destination. Make reservations; walk-ins aren’t encouraged. We were seated without one, but about an hour in I overheard the owner mutter that we were “lucky” to get a table and had been there too long. That killed the experience. We order, drink, and tip well; if we’re spending a couple hundred, we expect to feel welcome. There are better ways to turn a table. We won’t be back.

I came here hoping to eat, but the experience was incredibly uncomfortable. When we arrived, the owner told us there would be a wait for a table. I said I was fine waiting the amount of time he gave us, but instead of simply putting our name down, he repeatedly told us we could “go down the street” to eat somewhere else. This wasn’t said once as a suggestion—it was repeated multiple times in a dismissive and hostile way, even after I calmly explained that we were willing to wait. The interaction felt unwelcoming and unnecessary, especially considering we were doing exactly what he asked by agreeing to the wait time. The way we were spoken to made us feel singled out and unwelcome, and it left a very bad impression. Hospitality matters, and no customer should feel pushed out or treated with disrespect for simply wanting to dine.

My daughter reserved a special dining place to celebrate her brother's 22nd birthday with his mother, brother, and dear friend. Although seated in plain view in the middle of the restaurant we were not served as a valuable patron. Menus were not timely, dirty plates were not removed, water was not served to all, meals were late & any ambiance offered freely when arriving was taken away immediately. As a cancer survivor, I wish I had that moment back to offer my son what he and my family are worthy of. I want them to know they exist beautifully in this world and although they don't check the heritage box of this restaurant's accommodations we deserved a beautiful dining experience. I raised them, I love them and sadly I do now regret this experience. I am very proud of my Mexican/African American children and how they navigate such a hate-filled experience they had to pay for. I pray it changes.
