Ernesto was phenomenal, made our brunch experience phenomenal! Candy was also very attentive and her friendly energy made us really enjoy our time here! 10/10 would recommend
Mr. Alfredo gave us excellent service! Very professional and fast and great tasting food.
Best brunch vibes! And the best waitress are Dora and Toñita, they are so sweet and very attentive to everyone I will definitely come back.
Estella is always professional and cheerful! She always keeps our champagne glass full! Always a pleasure to have her as our server! Thanks Estella!
Estela is my go to server. I come see her weekly. Not only is her service outstanding, her personality and ability to give customer service is what brings me to this location. You can’t find them like her anymore.
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS FOOD AND SPECTACULAR SERVICE!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 GOD BLESS PRESIDENT TRUMP 🙏 ❤️🇺🇸
Pedro was AMAZING! We went in for bottomless brunch and our glasses were never empty. He was so attentive and came to us consistently asking if we needed anything else. He was kind and polite, he’s been the best waiter I’ve had coming to El Torito. I will definitely come back again!
Food was good. Service was what should be expected. This is my second visit since I moved here. I will update. We love that there are so many restaurants.
Alfredo gave exceptional service. He was friendly, attentive, and has lungs of Tarzan when singing birthday songs to guests. No complaints.
Love coming here when Dora is working. Always makes sure you have everything you need. Make sure you ask to be seated in Doras section. Lovely woman.
Came in for brunch the food was great. Victor and Dora our severs for the day were so friendly and helpful.
Alfredo was our server and he was great! He will come around our table and check in asking if we needed anything and refill our drinks/mimosas! Great ambience all around and the rest of the staff was also great! If you want a great server ask for Alfredo you won’t regret it.
We came in for the Sunday brunch buffet and had such a great experience, all thanks to Pedro! Even though it’s a self-serve setup, Pedro went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. He kept our drinks full, cleared our plates quickly, and checked in often to see if we needed anything. He was super friendly, professional, and really made us feel welcome. The buffet was delicious, but Pedro’s service made it even better. Definitely ask for him if you go—he’s awesome!
Dora was a very nice waiter! She provided us with great service and a friendly smile. 😊
This place is great for brunch on Sundays. All you can eat . Great food . However, the price is not cheap …….$45 per person .
Went to El Torito with my Bestie had a fantastic server named Dora Food was great. Service were great. You can’t miss out on the strawberry margarita. Dora is excellent. Definitely coming back.
Dora was fantastic! The food was so delicious and we will definitely be back! The service was so good!
A staple in the community!!! Always a pleasure to dine here foods always great! Out server Pedro was very sweet good conversation and jokster! Really makes the whole vibe come together.!!
The food is always fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. You can really tell they take pride in the quality of their dishes. On top of that, the service is excellent—especially thanks to the manager, Eduardo. He’s friendly, attentive, and goes out of his way to make sure guests feel welcome and taken care of. Highly recommend!
Dora was fantastic! Brunch was delicious and the service was great! I can’t wait to come back!!! Thank you Dora!
We visit from Idaho frequently to visit family and we always look forward to eating here. The most amazing food and margaritas! Our server Estela S is awesome, she is a top notch.
Awesome happy hour! Junior and/or Senior are my usual bartenders. They know my order when they see me, that's an awesome feeling as a regular! Always clean and friendly, great locals, and tasty food with fair prices.
El Torito’s brunch was fantastic. The tacos were fresh and flavorful, and the bottomless mimosas made it even better. We had such a great time catching up with friends, enjoying delicious food, and relaxing over drinks. The atmosphere was lively, the staff was friendly, and everything came out just right. Definitely going back!
Pablo, our server deserves a raise. What a pleasure to dine here and felt like home with Mr. Pablo. Great service, excellent food! Have a happy new year Guys !!!
Candy provided amazing service! We've been coming here for over 20 years and it always feels like home. The food is delicious and service always kind!
Fantastic food with wonderful service. Our server, Candy, was so sweet, she even want out of her way to make me a hot chocolate! All this was also close to closing (sorry guys) great evening over all though.
I have been coming here for a while and Dora has always been so kind and so helpful. She makes her experience so much fun when coming here for Sunday brunch.
Came here for Sunday brunch & everything was amazing! Great variety & authentic. Service was great all around! Special “thank you” to our wonderful waiter Pedro! Muchas gracias!
Shout out Dora for the amazing service. She was very attentive and made sure our party was okay. We always have a great time at El Torito
This is one of our 'go-to' places. Tonight's service was exceptional! (As usual) Alfredo was so attentive. He answered all our menu questions. Managers Eduardo and Gloria checked in several times to make sure we were satisfied. (They are both amazing!) The "Bus boys" Manny and Javier also checked in with us multiple times as they were taking care of all the tables around us. I can't recommend this place enough! Pictures were an afterthought.. the food was sooooo good!
Highly recommend! Dulce helped us out for brunch buffet she provided top notch speedy service and made sure my mimosas stayed topped off!
This has been one of my favorite restaurant to go with my family since I was a child! I just found this location and was so thrilled because where I live they closed the restaurant there locally. I had such an excellent breakfast, the waitress provided great service, the girl at the front was very enthusiast as she took me to the seating area. The Spanish architecture of the restaurant is certainly a great aesthetic related to the cultural background of Mexican & Spanish gastronomy. I love the design on their plates and all the vibrant colors of this restaurant, definitely will be making the drive! Not to mention the flavor in the food is very delicious. Their waffle batter is distinct compared to other places selling waffles. I enjoyed this breakfast experience very much & will be returning, definitely made my Saturday a lot better when I thought the nearest one to me was San Diego. So grateful they are still in business! Perfection in my opinion. 😊
Had a nice breakfast here. Ordered “Breakfast Combo” but exchanged the bacon/sausage for avocado. Rosie, my waitress, was very sweet and accommodating. Couldn’t beat the price of $8 normally $14 since I’m on their club email list. Once in a while they’ll send out those great deals. She told me they have valet parking on the weekends.
Amazing food and drinks. The Server Alfredo was so friendly and very attentive. We will be back soon and I love their margaritas.
I went for the Christmas brunch and our server Alfredo was amazing, he was very attentive and friendly. Also, Eduardo the manager was really nice. I will definitely come back for another brunch
I'll make this quick and simple because nobody has time for an autobiographical review. 🤙🏼 Good-sized parking. El Torito in Woodland Hills is one of the best spots for authentic Mexican vibes and killer food. Their tequila selection is seriously impressive—plenty of premium options that make for perfect shots or top-shelf margaritas that hit just right. During happy hour (every day 3-9pm in the Cantina), you can't go wrong. The carne asada fries are loaded, cheesy, and massive—total crowd-pleaser. The birria tacos are rich, juicy, and full of that deep flavor that keeps you coming back. Love the chile relleno too—perfectly battered, stuffed, and smothered just how it should be. And the steak tacos? Grilled to perfection, tender, and super satisfying, especially at those happy hour prices. Great atmosphere, solid service, and food that never disappoints. Highly recommend hitting up this location!
The carnitas were really good, I was pleasantly surprised. The mahi mahi tacos with the salsa are spicy, the guac and chips were delicious.
Excellent restaurant. One of our favorites here in San Fernando Valley. We came here yesterday, on Friday dinner. We had a reservation for 16 people. The restaurant is big, so although they were a lot of people, you still have privacy and a lot of space. The food is delicious, the service id top notch, and the ambiance is beautiful, with the Mexican music. And no, we are not Mexicans :-), but we love the food, the great service, and the music. We will be back soon. Thank you.
El torito has and always been my (guiltless) guilty pleasure! It’s my top spot for happy hour. You really can’t beat the vibe, price, food! My husband and I go every time we have a celebration, or we just a need a night out to ourselves. I also always bring friends and they always have a great time. Solid service and food every time! Extra special thanks to candy who was amazing to us today in the cantina ❤️
We had a great Sunday brunch experience at El Torito, and a big part of that was thanks to our waitress Dora. From the moment we were seated, she was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She checked in on us just the right amount, made sure everything came out perfect, and handled everything with a great attitude and a smile. You can tell Dora really cares about her customers and takes pride in her work. Service like hers makes a huge difference and turns a Sunday brunch into a really enjoyable, relaxed experience. We’ll definitely be coming back and hope to be seated in her section again. Thank you, Dora!
Fun atmosphere and decor. Good food. Great vampire salsa and table side guac. Excellent service. Jasmine a pleasure as always. Thank you.
I had a great time for my bday brunch, Dora took great of us ! She was so attentive and made sure we had what we needed. She is great ! And I will definitely come back and ask for her to service us!
Dora is great. She took care of us in the bar area tonight. Good food, warm atmosphere, friendly staff. It's a staple for a laid-back evening. Our regulars are chicken enchiladas, street tacos, and tableside guacamole.
The Sunday brunch was amazing. Dora, our waitress, was very attentive, kind, and friendly. The service overall was excellent. The food was very tasty! I will definitely be back!!! Great brunch with the girls.
Dora was great for our girls brunch. Very attentive, great attitude, very welcoming. We did the bottomless mimosas and she made sure our glasses were always full. If you come into el tirito in Woodland Hills, make sure you get Dora as your sever
Unlimited brunch at El Torito was pure happiness. Incredible food, great vibes, and nonstop plates. Huge shoutout to Dora, our awesome waitress, who made the experience even better with her energy and top-tier service. The waitress was so great too—this place knows how to do brunch!
I always come back here for Sunday brunch with my best friend. Dora was such an exceptional waitress! We love her and Victor was great too, he kept the mimosas coming!
We had such a great experience at El Torito brunch! Our waiter Alfredo was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond, patiently answering all of our questions and making us feel so taken care of. The manager Eduardo was also wonderful. He kept checking in to make sure everything was perfect and even took the time to help my son at the dessert table, which meant a lot to us. The restaurant was very clean, the service was excellent, and overall it was just a really enjoyable visit. We’ll definitely be back!
Dulce gave us exceptional service. She was friendly and efficient. The food is always delicious and the all you can eat buffet on Sundays always hits the spot… not to mention the all you can drink mimosas.
Had an amazing time here, my first time visiting. The food is GREAT! Me being Mexican it's hard to find great authentic food, but Sunday's brunch is on point. The entire team of employees are also amazing. Definitely recommend it. Will comeback.
I want to give a huge shout-out to our server Dulce,at El Torito. She was absolutely amazing. Even when another costumer was being rude to her right in front of us, she stayed completely professional, calm, and polite. She made sure we felt safe, comfortable, and taken care of the entire time, despite the tension happening around her. Her service was excellent, and she handled a difficult situation with so much grace. She truly deserves recognition.
Dora was absolutely wonderful! She greeted us with a genuine smile and made us feel welcome right away. Throughout the meal she was attentive without being intrusive, always checking in at the perfect time. She knew the menu well and gave great recommendations that we loved. Everything came out quickly and just as ordered. Dora’s friendly personality and professionalism turned a good meal into a great experience — we’ll definitely be back because of her excellent service!
We came for Sunday brunch at El Torito to celebrate our Anniversary and it was such a great experience! The food was fresh, delicious, and had so many options to choose from. The service was just as amazing—our waitress ESTELA was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. She really helped make the brunch special. Highly recommend coming here, especially on Sundays!
food was BOMB absolutely scrumptious, it did take around 15-20 minutes to get there but the chips and salsa are free and served right away to occupy you. we got basically everything from the $8 category of their happy menu and it came out to under $12 per person for four people. very very delicious and the vibe is also fire!! would def recommend :)
Pedro is amazing!!! Best service ever. Took great care of us ..... was bubbly and had such a kind smile. Thank you Pedro

Came for their cinco de mayo brunch. Food was decent. price is a bit pricy for what you get. However, the staff was superb. Tonita at the omelet station is always the best. Her flipping skills are …
The food was very tasty during the Sunday brunch. Estela gave us great care waiting on us. She was very attentive and nice. The ambiance is cool especially the dining area. We will be back.

The food is really good and the employees are attentive. They serve good drinks and they have good deals on Mondays. I also like their desserts.

Didn’t feel like paying another $50 in Ubers so I tried out this place not far from my hotel. It worked out great. The service from Jose was impeccable. The extra anejo margarita hit the spot. The …
The ambiance of this restaurant is great. We enjoyed the food here so much so that we returned again with family. The second time we ordered for apps chicken quesadilla (ordered both times so delicious); entrees: chicken & shrimp fajita (Shrimp were so flavorful but the chicken needed salsa); steak fajitas (hit or miss in terms of cook); carne asada (delicious); carne asada burrito (delicious); dessert: deep fried ice cream (the coating seemed overcooked but was edible). Chicken fajitas pic from first visit shown.
Good upscale mexican food. Service was fast and on point, although had some trouble communicating with our server. Decor was very atmospheric, and quite family friendly. The food itself was good - we all got tacos. Personally more of a fan of street mexican, but this worked. Prices are a bit steep for what you get.
I ordered the fajitas with the steak, shrimp, chicken and they were good! The enchiladas on the other hand ... The tortilla that was in still felt like they were not cooked enough. The sauce just felt bland.
El Torino has always been a favorite place for good food and drinks. Came to the Woodland Hills location and was not disappointed. Service was on point and the food and drinks were tasty. Will come back here again. Thanks ET!
We enjoyed the extensive happy hour, margaritas were good and cheap. Free warm Tortilla chips and salsa is always a plus. I was a bit disappointed as a vegetarian as they barely had any veggie dishes, especially on the happy hour menu. I ordered the veggie fajitas and it was nice, the queso was solid and very yellow, not our favorite. Overall I will go back maybe try the breakfast menu.
The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming. You wouldn't be able to guess from the outside what the inside was set up like. There was no wait when we went around 1pm on a weekday. And chips and salsa were served almost immediately (chips wer crispy and light, salsa was chunky and fresh with lots of cilantro) We got the chicken taco salad which was genuinely a salad; with chicken; with a very crispy taco shell (most taco salads we've had in the past are more shell and refried beans than lettuce) and the chicken enchiladas (which honestly were a little bit of a let down. They were mostly cheese with small amounts of chicken and with a thin red sauce on top) but overall it was flavorful. The Marg flight was quite tasty and I enjoyed the different rims on each cocktail. Our server was efficient, fast talking, and friendly. Overall, it met my food and drinks needs in the moment (I was absolutely starving when we arrived) but I'm not sure I'd feel a need to go back, if I ended up in the area again (I'd likely feel inclined to check out other places in the area, as a tourist, rather than do a repeat visit)
Great spot for lunch. The food was great! I ordered a regular cheese quesadilla and the server added vegetables for me since I don’t eat meat. Large dining area, very clean. The servers are very polite and attentive. Parking lot parking. Good for large groups of people or for couples.
Our holiday dinner at El Torito turned out to be a delightful surprise, especially considering it was Christmas day. Despite the bustling crowd, we were seated within 15 minutes of our reservation, and the festive atmosphere added to the holiday spirit. El Torito lived up to its reputation, offering the familiar and comforting Mexican fare we expected. The guacamole made fresh at our table, coupled with yummy margaritas, bottomless chips, and salsa, set the perfect tone for a family-friendly dining experience. What made it even better was the affordability that El Torito consistently delivers. Even with the holiday rush and what seemed like a shortage of staff, our waiter hustled to ensure our party was well attended to. It was heartwarming to see the dedication despite the challenges. The presence of multiple screens playing the football game made the experience even more enjoyable, especially for my dad and brother who appreciated the view from our table. Overall, El Torito provided a warm and inviting setting for a holiday meal, with the staff's hard work shining through. A fine time indeed, with good food, family, and a touch of holiday cheer.
Pedro was a very friendly waiter and attentive. Love this place. The sweet mole, green pozole and home made tortillas were the best.

The food and service were excellent. \n\nDulce was such a great server.\n\nShe made happy hour even happier! She gets 5 stars herself!! \n\nWe will be back!!
Food was ok and it's because flavor was ok. It was seasoned right, but it was not for you to say like whoa this is delicious. I had a carnitas plate, but it had bell peppers, which is a weird combination because carnitas don't have bell peppers. It came with flour tortillas but they were store bought did not handmade which would it make a big difference, a more authentic Mexican food. We also had birria tacos and they were not the greates, very dry...Server and manager were really nice, service was perfect which I give them 5 stars. If I do come back, it will be to try the brunch buffet. the mixed drinks we're amazing, delicious 😋 I'm not a local, I live 3-4 hours away and we came across it because it was close to the hospital. Overall decoration is nice and I like the big toro (bull) in the front.
So after my most recent visit last week, I had a terrible experience with service. I walked into the bar area to take a seat a watch the Dodger game. I waited and waited and waited for someone to acknowledge us so we can be served. We had already looked at the menu left at the table and were ready to order. I had to get the attention of the bartender behind the bar so we can send us a server. So about 15-20 min later someone finally came to take our order. Placed our order and finally our food comes. No utensils, no plates or napkins! We were so hungry we got up to get some napkins and used that as our plates just like in n out, but this isn't fast food and serves expect a tip. 2 tacos in our server finally came to ask us if our food was ok. By that time I just wanted to eat and didn't argue. El Torito management/ownership fix this! I like coming here, don't ruin it! I attached pictures of my plates.
Nothing fancy about this place. I was disappointed about the margaritas and the salsa. I had ordered a mango blended and honestly it was watered down, I couldn't taste much of the mango or the tequila, it was like drinking a flavored water. The food was tasty and fresh. The service could of been more warmer at least from our server. I do recommend the 3 smaller margarita drinks which tasted much better than a regular margarita.
We were there just as the buffet was ending and it felt a bit chaotic. Some items were wrong and had to be returned. I find our experiences at Northridge El Torito is by far better than this location. No one in our party enjoyed the meal.
We tried the Sunday Brunch at El Torito in Woodland Hills. While they do offer a variety of dishes, it was not as great as I expected, especially for the price ($31 adult, $12 kids) They seemed unsure whether kids is 12 years and below, or 11 years old and below. They appeared to go by how big your 12 year old is whether to charge adult or kids price. Anyway, their a la carte entrées always had great flavor. Perhaps the food being out too long at the buffet stations diminished the quality of the food a bit. It's not bad, just doesn't seem to justify paying $31 for. I've had better machaca at school fiestas, tastier chile colorados at work, and more delicious ceviches at hole in the wall places, and not as expensive. One thing that was really good was the caramelized bananas mixed with vanilla ice cream. I don't eat ice cream much but this was a welcome surprise. Service was good, as buffet servers were helpful and attentive. They had plastic dividers at their buffet stations, and servers handle your food all throughout. Our waitress even brought us churro pancakes we didn't ask for. Might be better to go earlier when the food is fresh out of the kitchen, you just have to deal with a busier buffet. They also have a bar so it's a good place to watch sports and have drinks.
The food was indeed quite delightful, however, the service from the staff could have been more cordial. It took a considerable amount of time for the server to arrive, initially to take the initial order, and they were not particularly frequent in their visits, prompting me to contact them a few times to ensure their arrival.
Average food at best, but friendly service — though our server was missing in action for quite some time. My biggest gripe was a 3.99% surcharge added to every bill — this is not a fee if paying by credit card, this is an additional 4% just because. I am glad to support a locally owned business, but why not just add 4% to the cost of each item so I am unaware I am being taken advantage of?
Its alright, was craving mexican food and came across this restraunt, had high hopes for authentic Mexican food. I was disappointed its alright, just meh.
3 stars was a hesitation as I was thinking two. The waiter and the tasty salsa gained the extra star. I have always liked el Torito and was sad when it closed in Thousand Oaks. Now to my disappointments. Ordered regular margaritas (10.00 each) on ice. The new glasses they serve the drinks in probably hold 6 ounces of actual liquid, the rest was ice in this small glass. Most the margarita was super sweet mix and could not taste any tequila. I had two drinks and my friend had two drinks. After dinner we ordered Mexican coffee to celebrate my friend birthday. When they were finally served they were awful! First off we couldn’t tell what exactly the whipped cream was. It was thick ,cold and clumpy with a strange taste. Now, the actual coffee was cold and nasty tasting as though it had been sitting in the pot all day. Neither my friend nor I finished the drink (2 were $25.00). The small salads we ordered were good, cold and fresh. The appetizer plate was good and the salsa wonderful.
Wait was long even though restaurant wasn't that full. Definitely love the happy hour though, got our drink order wrong. Service was ok and the food was ok. Definitely worth for the price though!

I had been waiting to get some good birria tacos and this was not the place. They were tasteless as was the consume that they were served with. Also the cheese enchiladas were lacking flavor and overall not tasty
Manager was nice, servers not so much. Especially the server bringing the food. Down right angry. Overcharged on bill. Brought 7 people, including 4 kids but only 5 ate. We were charged gratuity for 6. Charged for adult drinks on kids drink. Overcharged for top shelf liquor that was never ordered. Drinks were terrible. Usually a rule at places like this, at least the drinks should be good.

Food was good but we waited an hour and a half to get our food. Lady forgot to place our order in the kitchen. We also waited 25 min to get our water served. Then I ask for horchata rum and she brings me regular horchata. It kept getting worse 😂 We didn’t complain and we were nice the whole time but damn do they need to train the staff. Lucky us we got 10% off
Went in for the Sunday brunch!! Horrible food!! Kids putting their hands in the food. The server did not how to make tacos. Gross food. Champagne in the mimosas was disappointing. Will never be going back. Buffet for 4- $230, and two of the people in our party couldn’t get themselves to eat
I asked the server about gluten free items and felt tension from him immediately! I asked for the chicken fajitas and I told him no tortillas. He asked in a rude way, "Well what do you want instead? " I said nothing, just the chicken and veggies will be fine. I asked for jalapeños instead of bell peppers and he was like, what you can't have peppers either. I said no, I just don't like them. He just had attitude from the start after me asking about my gluten free options. I CAN'T HELP THAT I AM THIS WAY AND WOULD LOVE TO EAT THE BURRITOS BUT I CAN'T! I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN AND DO NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR ANYONE THAT IS GLUTEN FREE!!!!! I would give it 0 STARS if I could. I ate the chicken strips in the photo below. There weren't many of them.
Either they are trying to keep people out of the cantina or they just want to go out of business. The music is so loud It's worse than rosaria beach on Spring break.. Coincidentally, advertised Happy hour specials are honored in the repulsive cantina. Actually the bizarre noise level makes the whole place repulsive
Food was fine no issues, but the review is about some random Service charge they put on the bill, apparently it’s every bill , we weren’t a large party only 4 of us. Most times the reciept will say what the charge is for but this reciept didn’t explain it at all. Very unusual and suspicious , where does this fee go?
