They now have their Happy Hour menu all day which is such a great deal! I love the Happy Hour fish tenders! I also love all their fried rice options on the regular menu. A big portion so it is great to take half home for another meal! Definitely try this place! Service was great today, too!
Came on a Monday evening and had a nice meal at the bar. They have happy hour Monday through Thursday from 11:30 to close. Chef's choice oysters were $2 and did not disappoint. It had been awhile since I've had a properly cleaned oyster, so thank you for that 🙏 We tried the soft-shell crab sliders (crispy and flavorful), crab fried rice (the egg in it was seasoned - the rice needed a little something but it was good) and we had the tuna sashimi (so good!). I also ordered the Electric Verde cocktail, which had a subtle spice and smokiness. The bartender was friendly and service was quick. The place was clean, considering there is only outdoor seating. Parking was a bit rough if you're just going for food, so I'd recommend walking around for a little window shopping as well. Overall, a nice place to go for drinks and fish. We will be returning for oysters and to try the other dishes 😁
This place was great!! Went here for a late dinner with drinks. Everything we had was amazing! Between the salmon carpaccio and the albacore sashimi, I'm not sure which one was my favorite. The oysters were great too and came with a lemony cilantro sauce that was amazing! The brussel sprouts were super crispy and melt in your mouth. For cocktails I really liked one called The Gentlemen - I mean, how can you go wrong with gentleman jack?? The restaurant is mostly outdoors but there is a portion that is indoors as well. They do have heaters but on a cold night be sure to bundle up! The bartender told us this place gets packed when the weather warms up so be prepared for a wait. Overall I really enjoyed this place and would definitely come back again!!
Love this place! Fish and Asian fusion make for fantastic food. I always get the boonie pasta which has bits of uni in it. It ends up tasting almost like fish macaroni and cheese. And then I always get the jalapeno garlic chicken wings which are pretty delicious as well. My wife always gets the oysters and the oyster shooter. Delicious food and outdoors to boot. You will not be disappointed here.
Went to this place on a Friday in Lent. We sat outside on a slightly cold evening but there were burners out to keep us warm. There is a wide selection of alcohol here. The fried lobster here is very different. It was a little weird to deshell a breaded lobster but I really enjoyed the dish, it was tasty and had a great combinations of tastes and textures.
Great food and oyster selection. Nice and fast service. Opening hours: Weekdays: until 9-10pm depends Weekends: till 11pm approx (depends)
Had an an amazing time here still giving 5 stars even though they change for bread. Food was great. Pro tip you can get more seafood by ordering off individual items rather than paying for the seafood tower
Some of the best oysters I've had in the neighboring area! Place was a little under staffed, but Amy got everything out in a decent time and it was all fresh. Downed a dozen of those buggers in no time. Great Happy Hour specials. Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a chill spot outside. Will return.
Oysters , Glass of wine, crab sliders, fish tacos ( not pictured)..you cannot go wrong with happy hour here . Oysters are always fresh and food is always well made.
Fresh oysters - delicious Uni pasta - so rich, uni infused sauce topped with uni. Garlic shrimp pasta - garlicky with tons of shrimp I mean, if you love seafood, what more can you ask for? Awesome knowledgeable staff, I would suggest sitting at the bar. This is a place you want to come back and try everything on their menu.
Had a lovely meal with celiac dining restrictions great and thoughtful service! Yellowtail collar was 10/10, and our server brought alternative sauces to be sure we had a safe meal
Stopped in for first time on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Place was very quiet. Delicious food and excellent service. Wokano Pear 🍸 (cocktail) - tasty Pork Dumplings, Rockefeller Oysters - good but didn't blow me away. Shanghai Lo Mein (w/Beef) - so flavorful; beef was cooked perfectly. White Fish Filet w/Asparagus - fish was moist and veg still had nice crunch. MaPo Tofu - very good. Women's Restroom- need to add hooks in the stalls to hang purse/coat. Clearly had removed and not sure why. ??
I went to dine with my sister in law and her soon. The ambience was nice. Well lit but not too bright, it was a Monday night so not too crowded. Perfect to have nice conversation. The food looked and tasted amazing some things we got were the calamari which was seasoned well and fried nice and golden, with a nice even flavored batter. I also tried the wonton soup which looks like it it made up of homemade wontons. I ordered the rainbow roll which was presented nicely and was fresh and delicious as well.
We had dinner here for the first time. Extensive menu and the food was really delicious. The garlic edamame was absolutely delicious. We also tried the blue fin Toro tartare, peacock sushi, spicy yellowtail handrolls & the beef fried rice. Everything was very tasty & the service was excellent.
So this place is 100% under new management and totally changed in a great way !!! Waiters service were super nice and food came after like 12 minutes I was shocked how fast cause the place was super packed with people Food was excellent and very tasty! When my friend told me let’s go to eat here I was like I was there in the past and I didn’t like the food and service but he was like let’s go so I said ok for him. And like I started this review I was shocked cause it is 100% under new owner or management cause you so such an amazing change and it’s must go too ! So hope you will go and enjoy like I enjoyed our dinner here tonight. I enjoy giving great reviews and take my time putting for places that definitely have earned it by their customer service and food :) hope new management will be reading this ! I must say again GREAT JOB DONE WITH THIS PLACE I’ve attached what we ordered Enjoy! :)
Lesly our server was GREAT! My husband and I ordered from the lunch menu. Lunch menu comes with a nice side salad with crunchy wonton strips! I ordered the Shrimp with Asparagus with brown rice . I loved it! It's very flavorful and filling. My husband ordered the Spicy Mongolian Beef with white rice. He loved it and it was very spicy, just the way he prefers this dish! Large indoor seating as well as outdoor patio dining. Comfortable booths with large windows. The only negative was the loud music during lunch. Overall, the food, atmosphere and service were wonderful. Thank you Lesly! We shall return.
Very nice casual yet high end menu of seafood. Price of cocktails were a little high. Food was absolutely great. Very happy. Will go again.
Overall the experience was good, we have a good server tonight. She was very friendly and helpful also came by asking us how's the food. The chicken wings were delicious and the environment were good too.
Had a good first experience at EMC. It is not a traditional restaurant as it is mostly tables on the patio and a bar section. Cool vibe but not a quite sit down place if that's what you're looking for. Wife and I went for dinner and the food was great. Oysters were fresh and tasty, the ceviche was good, albacore sashimi was delicious and the clams (and noodle broth) were awesome. Our waitress "V" was really nice and made great suggestions. I think they may have been a bit short staffed when we went as V was covering a lot of tables and even seemed to be behind the bar a few times. A good experience nonetheless and we would definitely go back.
Cheap wine and great oysters makes for a perfect combination. Out of all of the generic and boring chains in the Village, this place is a hidden gem. Service is always attentive and polite, and the bar is a lot of fun and unpretentious. I recommend the uni pasta and any of the oysters. Updating my review. Service and food seem to be going downhill here. Came here on a Wednesday and was served 3 bad oysters out of 6. Service was really slow as well despite not being busy. This is the second visit in a row where the oysters weren't fresh. Crossing this place off my list unfortunately.
Nice location, good food. Took some time to get service, but once we had a waiter, all was good.
We ordered half a dozen of the fat bastards oystets, uni pasta and lobster roll (not shown). Service was pretty slow but when our food came, we basically inhaled everything in sight. The oysters came first pretty darn good. Then the uni pasta came next so creamy and tasty. Last but not least, the lobster roll, the bun was so buttery and flaky with fresh lobster pieces, so bomb. We dipped the lobster roll in the left over uni pasta sauce which made it even better than it already was. Finish the meal with warm sake and beer. Great meal, a bit pricey, totally worth it tho.
Food was very tasty and we tried several different plates. Chicken Fried Rice, Broccoli Beef, Ginger Chicken. All came with salad and Miso Soup, Hot & Sour Soup. Overall the food was fresh, served hot and fresh. Wait staff was friendly. Only ding for the evening was the music was so loud I could barely hear my dinner mate and had to motion to the server each time she came by to check on us. Management should be aware that some people would rather talk to each other while dining instead of listening to music blaring through out the dining area. This tended to diminish my full senses for enjoying my meal. Taste☑️Sight☑️Feel☑️
Cajun oysters were fine. Shrimp noodles were also just fine—a little over cooked but the portion was generous. Just not awesome, considering the price. Possibly an off night for the kitchen? Also, just FYI, it's entirely outdoor seating, and still fairly chilly despite the heat lamp.
I haven’t been to this restaurant in a long time, maybe 6 or 7 years. It used to be pretty decent but now it is pretty awful. Our salmon smelled too fishy, as if it had been frozen for too long. It was so bad, we were definitely not going to eat it and send it back. Nothing we ordered was good, but the salmon was absolutely not OK. The eel sushi was the worst we ever had by far!! It’s like the food sits around too long or something but everything was pretty awful. And it was expensive for bad food!!! Definitely do not eat here!!!!
Service was good. Sashimi Salad was a bit salty. Asked for more mixed greens to balance out the saltiness. The server gladly brought a full plate. Definitely better after mixing the extra greens. Chinese chicken salad was great! The grilled chicken was very tender. Sauce complimented the chicken salad very nicely. The Carpaccio was underwhelming Sauce was too oily not about acidity. Too salty
Our dinner at Wokcano was disappointing, to say the least. The Lo Mein was flat and bland, as my husband described. My yellow tail and salmon sashimi were old and must have been out of the refrigerator too long. We were charged for chicken, which was not really in the Lo Mein. The strawberry in the Lychee Martini was overripe and mushy. The only saving grace was Monte, the server who was very pleasant and welcoming.
I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I was definitely expecting a better experience than I received. Ordered through a service. All items arrived hot to the touch. Unfortunately, while hot is a desired temperature, soggy is not. The Calamari came in completely soggy in its sealed container. Everything was too salty, including the soup. The orange chicken should be called blood orange chicken due to its color. Other than the color and saltiness, it wasn't too bad. The chicken fried rice was also not bad. Prices reflect hire quality restaurants. My complete order was a disappointment and I couldn't see myself ordering from here again. I cannot recommend ordering delivery or takeout from this location.
Less of an Uni "Pasta" and more of a Soup. Extremely sauce heavy to the point that I didn't finish it. On top of that the dish felt like it was missing an element as far as texture. The noodles themselves were decent, otherwise it would be 1 star.
Food poisoning. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing and concerning experience. The food we were served was pre-cooked and reheated, which we noticed immediately. Within hours of eating, both my wife and I became violently ill and spent the entire night vomiting, which strongly suggests food poisoning. For a restaurant costing around $120 for a meal for two, basic food safety and freshness should be non-negotiable. This experience not only ruined our evening but also raised serious concerns about the restaurant’s food handling and storage practices. Food safety is fundamental, and based on our experience, this restaurant failed to meet that standard. I would strongly caution others before dining here. The only reason that i give 2 stars instead of 1 is because the staff are very friendly
The seafood pasta was just not good at all. It tasted like they used a canned tomato sauce and added nothing else. I couldn’t finish it, I had to put it in the trash. Wasted my money with that one!
I’m very disappointed to share a bitter experience at this sushi bar. I invited a friend (someone I’m not very close to) for lunch here, hoping to enjoy a nice evening. Unfortunately, the service turned the whole experience sour. After I paid the check, the server blatantly told me — in front of my guest — that I had left too small of a tip. I was shocked by the rudeness. When I calmly asked to speak to the supervisor, instead of apologizing, the supervisor actually supported the server and said we should add more from our own pockets to ensure everyone gets a fair share of tips. I’ve lived in the U.S. for years and have never encountered anything like this. Tipping is a personal choice — sometimes people leave $100, other times $10. It’s not something that should be demanded or judged publicly, especially in front of others. This was extremely embarrassing and unprofessional. Sadly, this one incident overshadowed the entire dining experience. I will not be returning, and I don’t recommend this place to others who value respectful service.
I usually love Wokanoes but this order has me never wanting it again. On December 1, my daughter and I had just arrived back home from the airport after Thanksgiving and wanted something different so I ordered Wokanoes. I ordered the garlic shrimp with no onions or scallions, 3 Hot and Sour Soups and Garlic Noodles with beef. The bag came sealed and hot. We opened the bag and I started serving myself when I saw a hair. It wasn’t a short hair like an eyelash, It was long. I said to my daughter, “Is that hair”. She reached down and started to pull it. It didn’t come off. In fact it was wrapped around a piece of broccoli. I lost it. I immediately called Wokanoes who told me to call Instacart. I said, Instacart did not make the food and the bag was stapled. He told me that’s how it works. So I called Instacart who told me I can submit my complaint through the App. I have tried to do it 10 times. It will not let me upload the picture or the video. I have checked my settings and it’s not my settings. I finally called my bank today, 10 days later to dispute these charges. I’m so disappointed , 1) Because no one’s taking responsibility and 2) because it made me sick. They don’t have to worry about me again.
Today I came here with my girlfriend and we ordered rolls and two pineapple juices. They brought me expired pineapple juice, which I drank, after 30 minutes I ran to the rastrum and everything I ate that evening came out of me. I threw up. We called the manager and he told us that these were the remains of the juice and therefore it was probably spoiled. We were not even given a discount. It's a pity but I will not come to this place again. And all the dishes stink of detergents
