Enjoyed a good meal at Hugo's. Service was very nice, great food. I found the carrots in the brisket stew a little too soft and overly salty but otherwise everything was great. It wasn't too busy and we were seated right away on Easter Sunday late lunch.

Great place for every time of the day. Their food is very delicious. Most of them are already healthy options. They have breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner. Patio outside is heated and pet friendly. It’s pretty sunny outside but great for a cold day. They welcomed dogs really well. The table near me had their furry friend fed too. Parking was a bit limited but I went around 11am and found it’s pretty easy to find. When I leave, cara had to wait around 5-10 minutes for the space. Right off 101 freeway then turn right and sharp left.

Great vegan options and super friendly staff!!! Molly and her staff at Hugos are absolutely delightful. I always have great, quick service there, even through the pandemic. Yesterday I tried the vegan Mac n cheese and it was delicious! Crispy onions with mushrooms and peas on top gave it so much flavor and texture. The latte was so big I had to take it home to finish it. I love the taco stand too but this is a great place for a relaxing lunch with great vibes.

Great comfort Californian food near Universal City area. The staff is very courteous. We were there once for breakfast and the other time lunch take-out. For breakfast my wife got the herbal omelette with fruit bowl. I got the green tamales with egg & avocado along with fried rosemary potatoes. The potatoes were easily the best dish and it’s a must try at this restaurant. For the take out we got cauliflower pakora and Asian stir fry, both of them were excellent.

Cool place. Nothing fancy. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Very diverse menueith lots of vegetarian options. The salmon was excellent!!

Huge menu with vegetarian choices aplenty, along with regular fare. Delicious food and friendly service too. Atmosphere is utilitarian, and noisy, which makes conversation challenging when crowded. Prices are reasonable. Parking lot is supplemented by street parking. Convenient location near the freeway.

Overall, a decent spot for breakfast - we went as a family. The portions were generous, but my wife wasn’t too happy with the avocado toast. Also, the server mixed up our order, so I’m giving it 4 stars.

I usually enjoy my meal here. This time, I ordered a new menu item. The flex hash. It looked amazing and even tasted so, but then it hit.. this was HOT! It was spicy on adrenaline! It was inedible for me, but did take it home to my BF. I can't wait to order it again but know to ask for the salsa/sauce on the side. I let the server know that she may want to warn her customers. Also, if the sauce isn't fresh, then the longer it sits, the hotter it gets.

I remember my first visit years ago to be quite memorable. Can't remember what I ordered, which is a bummer, but was eager to come back. This time ordered an omelet. Beautiful presentation, but lacked flavor. My friend raved about her dish so may need to try that next time.

I used to LOVE Hugo's when I first became vegan. It's been two times in a row that my food was less than expected, kind of disappointing. However, other people's food was great! Just to name some for your reference. Good food: Build your own spaghetti: Their marinara was really good. They make their own spaghetti. It's chewy and sauce well-absorbed. Tofu burger: this is based on my nephew's comments. It tasted really well, especially the tofu was marinated so thoroughly. Vegan turkey meatloaf with gravy: it's really delicious. I remember I have ordered this at least twice, and it never disappoints me! Cinnamon buns: super sweet. It's like churros roll up into a cinnamon bun. I love it! Bad: Tofu scramble: it was tasteless. Seriously. The cook simply put the tofu and veggies all together and that's it. No salt and pepper, no marinara, nothing!! It was plain and dry! Do not order this one if you were vegan. Tikka Masala bowl. It's kinda like a "hint" of Indian curry taste but not authentic at all! I was not impressed with the food. Other than that, the services was fantastic and food was served with great proportion.

The best way to describe this place is "okay with pricey food." It wasn't delicious, but it wasn't horrible. Probably the best part was the French fries, iced coffee, and chai latte. Regarding my burger, the goat cheese is all you tasted. Regarding the tres tacos which was actually a salmon burrito, the salmon was tasteless. This place deserves three stars due to the great service we received. The lady took care of us pretty well. Other than that the food was meh.

Look, I really don't like this place, but my boss and coworker do. Maybe I'm the wrong crowd. I get the turkey club and the turkey is so chewy it's almost like jerky. The bread is always so hard too, and the fries are cold. My boss got the salad and her chicken was disgusting, even for her. They did fix it and gave her new chicken, but she had finished her salad already. My coworker loves the beet salad. They are being eco friendly with paper straws now, but the straws get gross and mushy fast, so just ask for no straw. Famous old people love it here. It's expensive.

Don’t get the chicken wrap unless you like historically minimal amount of chicken. It was a wrap of burnt breading, 95% breading 5% chicken if you tell yourself that. I starved myself for hours to look forward to eat this and I have never been so disappointed as an adult including the death of my farther and brother. Don’t I repeat don’t get this chicken wrap unless your okay with the darkness of your soul is still craving food and disappointment. God bless America

For anyone that has allergies, dietary restrictions or preferences I must warn you. I ordered a vegan meal that was said to be prepared vegan without any modifications needed and I was served meat. It is an unacceptable mistake especially for a restaurant that claims to be vegan, vegetarian and gluten free friendly. If you fall into any of these categories I urge you to visit with caution and triple check to make sure they are preparing what the menu says. Before I decided to make this review we tried to get a resolution from the company and they never contacted us. I will not be returning and do not recommend this restaurant. Very unfortunate and disappointing.
