Rib Ranch BBQ is a gem for anyone who loves good food and a welcoming atmosphere. The food here is excellent, with generous portions that leave you fully satisfied. The BBQ is flavorful and cooked to perfection, and the homemade bread is simply to die for—soft, warm, and the perfect complement to the meal. The service is top-notch, with friendly staff who make you feel right at home. The family-friendly environment adds to the charm, making it a great spot for both casual dinners and family gatherings. The cleanliness of the restaurant is also worth noting, as it adds to the overall pleasant dining experience. If you're in the mood for hearty, delicious BBQ in a cozy setting, Rib Ranch BBQ is definitely worth a visit.
The best barbecue this side of the San Fernando Valley! Their corn muffins are quite the treat, but so far everything I've tried in the menu has been good. I recommend the potato salad, coleslaw, and bbq baked beans. So far those have been the best, though I haven't yet tried the mac and cheese and a couple other sides.
Your quintessential old fashioned bbq house. I'm not too much of a barbecue sauce fan, but this place hits the ballpark when it comes to perfect hint of sweetness mixed with good ol' finger licking baby back ribs or huge beef ribs. Definitely a crowd favorite especially if you are in a large party, although prepare to get messy! 😋😋
Pretty good BBQ meats. The sides were pretty basic and a bit bland compared to the quality of the meats. The hot link and tri tip combo aas delicious and my husbands steak sandwich was phenomenal. The skins were decent. Some of the best LA BBQ and special since it's not from a chain. The homemade BBQ sauce was really tasty.
A great neighborhood restaurant. The food is top shelf with very friendly service. Highly recommended!
I have eaten ribs all over the United States, Rib Ranch is definitely top 2 or 3 places I have ever been to. The owner said how are you today. Then he checked on us during lunch. On our way out he thanked us for coming in. We said it was great, (service and food). So we told him we will see you next Wed. for lunch, but instead of 3 we will be a party of 7. The girl at the front was just as great as the owner. God I love this place.
Rib Ranch BBQ has a great menu, friendly waiters, and a nice outdoor seating area.
I love the food! Ordering takeout or dining in - it is the best BAR-B-Q on the valley!
Rib Ranch is a must-visit for barbecue lovers! The ribs are incredibly tender, bursting with smoky flavor and slathered in a delicious tangy sauce. The generous portions ensure you leave satisfied, and the sides—especially the coleslaw, mash potatoes and cornbread—are perfect complements. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere make for a welcoming dining experience. Whether you're dining with family or friends, Rib Ranch is sure to delight!
The best chicken BBQ salad. Mike is great with live performers and made us feel welcomed. Love to perform on their outdoor patio. Great vibes and clientele!
So good the baby ribs that I want to take some home and my left overs 100% recommend!! They have wheelchair accesible
When I want a good barbecue dinner I always take my family here. Definitely recommend everything on the menu is delicious.
We’ve been here many times, and the food is always just as delicious as it ever has been.
Wow, my brothers and sisters, we found this barbique place when we came down here to woodland hills. Excellent barbique, a true gold mine of delicious meat. The true smokeiness flavor in there meats is what standout the best for me. There home made ranch and barbique sauce is amazing. My taste buds were very satisfied. There home made corn bread so fresh. Mac and cheese, onion rings and links to die for. See my photos for yourselves and like always brothers and sisters. Feed your food souls and God bless.
I forgot to take a photo of my actual food but oh my gosh it was so good and for such a great price!! The picture is the tri tip potato skins. For my entree I split a two step combo which consisted of baby back pork ribs and the chicken breast which was insanely moist!
Best bbq ribs I’ve had in my life. The beef and pork both. The beef ribs were caramelized to perfection and the pork ribs fell apart when moved. So tender. The garlic mashed potatoes were delicious and plentiful. My wife had a tri tip sandwich and it was great as well. Mac and Cheese and broccoli sides and they were great too. Literally everything we ordered was fantastic, including the pecan pie for dessert. Order up, you can’t go wrong. Staff were super friendly and nice. Clean bathrooms. Nice indoor and outdoor space.
Excellent, old school Los Angeles cowboy barbecue. Good food, great service, excellent setting. Still family-owned, with long-time pitmaster and excellent legitimate flavors. The beef ribs are outstanding, the tri-tip is outstanding, the beer battered onion rings are back baby! (they were gone for a bit) and they make great darn salads! The Rib Ranch has live music in the evenings. Tuesday is open mic night, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are groups usually starting around 6:00 p.m. on the patio. No cover, so don't be a chump: tip the band.
Best BBQ baked beans I've found in Southern California, would be competitive even in The South. Tri-tip was likely baked in the oven, was a bit tougher than expected, no smoke flavor. Service was excellent and quick on a Thursday afternoon.
Really cute little BBQ restaurant with inside and outside seating. The food was delicious with huge portions. The children's meals were good with a lot of selection. The onion rings were particularly yummy.
From the outside, it looks like a small restaurant but it’s really spacious. The food is also great a little on the sweet side of barbecue. The baby back ribs and beef ribs are cooked well. Also got the sausage which is both sweet and spicy. Side dishes were on point, generous quantity of French fries.
🍜 Food: I keep coming back for the barbecue chicken 🍗 it is the juiciest most delicious BBQ meal you find within 100 miles! 👩💼Service: Fantastic, a friendly Southern hospitality type of experience. 🏠 Atmosphere: Patio area is great, pup friendly and ready for the whole family. 💸 Price: About $15-25 a person for plenty of food.

Ate there last night for the first time. The food was outstanding. BBQ beans to die for. Service was great. Prices were more than fair. Plus, live music. All together an excellent evening. Highly recommended.
I have not been here in a few years. I thought the prices were a bit high. Fast forward to January 2026. I don't know if everybody else caught up to rib ranches pricing, but for what we got, the price was very fair. As for the food, it was ribs, chicken and burgers. The ribs were incredible. The meat was soft, little fat and almost falling off the bone. The burgers were very tasty and you can tell that it was good quality meat. The sides were robust in flavor and size. We ordered two beef and pork rib plates, which came with half a rack and two beef ribs and two sides. A half chicken and four children's hamburgers with sides. The total cost for everything was $101.00. This feed 5+ people. A very fair price for great tasting high quality meat. I will definitely return and would recommend this restaurant to anybody that loves barbecue.
My significant other and I have been getting takeout from Rib Ranch BBQ for many years. I'm not sure that I have ever eaten at the restaurant, but I know that they have a really cute patio area and they offer live music on the weekends. We usually order items off the a la carte menu, with the baby back ribs being a long-time favorite. We also love the potato skins, macaroni and cheese, hot links, BBQ chicken, the potato salad, and corn bread muffins. The BBQ sauce is also delicious. One of these days, we'll have to dine in. But in the meantime, we'll continue getting takeout from this longtime establishment.
first time trying this place and it was pretty good especially for the price nothing I can complain about. I’ve tried many BBQ places and I’ve paid way more for worse food. I had a Hot Link Dinner for $15 and it came with more than enough food. The BBQ beans were some of the best I’ve had and I don’t normally like or eat beans. The hot links were also good. Service was good as well. For the price nothing can beat it. I like the location as well right next to the canyons I will be stopping more often when I’m on my way to rip the canyons. Place has plenty of room and no wait time as well. Overall I would rate this place a solid 9/10. Any review that says this place is bad is bs this place is definitely worth a try and for the price there’s nothing to loose you can get a dinner for $15 - $22 for BBQ which is what you would spend at pizza restaurant. They also have indoor & outdoor seating which is nice. Glad I tried this place.

Very good BBQ. Got the Two Step combo of beef ribs and tri tip. The tri tip was tender and delicious. My one complaint is that they need to remove the silver skin off the ribs. Stuff was friendly and service was great. They didnt have any apple cobbler and I'm not a big fan of peaches but I even likes their peach cobbler.
I'd give this place a 5 star rating but my wife says it was a little expensive. We stopped in today for lunch. Mind you they had a BBQ chicken lunch special for $6.95. That seems really reasonable to me. But the wife says...well you know. Any ways we both had pork pulled sliders out on the patio and they were screaming good. We ate out on the patio. Always wanted to come by here. I drive by all the time and smell the BBQ when they're grilling out on the street with their huge BBQ grill. Will definitely come back again and have the $6.95 BBQ chicken lunch with the wife so we can both agree to raise them to a 5 star review. Ok I came again got lunch today. We had pulled Kirk sandwich and some big beef ribs. The waitress noticed my wife was chilly and she fired up the fireplace for us. 5 stars it is.
This place has awesome BBQ! The barbecue ribs were really really soft and yummy. The tri-tip was so delicious yes. I had a peach cobbler it was okay. The macaroni and cheese taste like it had cinnamon in it, it was alright. It's in a really cute location though. I would recommend this place to anybody that wants to sit down and have a nice dinner with their family or even alone. It's nice to sit outside. I got my order to go so I guess I didn't really get to enjoy the ambiance. I recommend you try this place, check it out, I'm sure you'll love it!

I've been going there off and on for along time ,food is great, but the people they are not. Not very friendly, but the worst of it is , a woman server said to me ,when I wasn't even finished eating ( are you ready to get out of here yet and handed me the receipt. )I'm guessing because she has no clue how to be professional or have etiquette. Your Restauant hires very weird people. Hopefully your establishment will teach some manners.

Service and atmosphere is great. If I was just rating the food though it would be 2/5 stars. The meat seems like it isn’t marinated and has no flavor unless you put loads of the store bought bbq sauce on it. The meat was watery and the bbq sauce was not good at all, but better to add that than have tasteless meat. Mac n cheese was some of the worst I’ve ever had. Beans and coleslaw were not homemade. I don’t like writing bad reviews because I loved the atmosphere and had a good experience while I was there (minus the food.) But from someone who comes from North Carolina which has some of the best BBQ, I am a really harsh critic and still have yet to find any good bbq here.
Got there at 7:15 when they close at 8. We called ahead to see if it would be an issue--and they said not a problem--as long as we have food we can serve you. But the service was lacking and practically non-existent. Our waitress was constantly MIA. The tri-trip was dry and over cooked--hot links were good. Sides were average. This place had nice ambiance, but it was so overpriced. Also, they brought out the appetizer at the same time as dinner which resulted in cold food. The appetizer was missing sour cream, but no one was around for the longest time for us to say anything. We asked for a box and a lid for one of the sides, and they brought us a broken box and no lid. All around disappointing experience.
Nothing is fresh here. Everything tasted reheated. The baked beans taste like pork and beans from the can. The ribs are boiled and you can taste it. Potatoes in the potato salad were a bit mealy and the Mac and cheese just tasted oily. Maybe at one point this place warranted the 4+ stars that it has but not any more.
Disappointed. There seemed to be barely any meat on the beef ribs, which were dry as heck. The pulled pork and apple cobbler were only okay. The cornbread (not shown) fell apart very easily, but did have some sort of flavor. The broccoli should have been seasoned or flavored to deserve an extra charge. The only saving grace were the baked beans. Overall, not worth the price paid.
One of the most disappointing BBQ experiences I’ve had — twice. I gave this place a fair shot. The first time I ordered ribs, they were dry, tough, and flavorless. Completely inedible for the price I paid. I reached out and to their credit, they promised to make it right when I came back in. When I went back, they gave me a much better order — juicy, tender, actually what you’d expect from a BBQ spot. That gave me hope, so I decided to give them another chance and order again. Big mistake. Same problem as the first time. Ribs were dry, barely any meat, no real flavor, and just overall low effort. It honestly feels like the only time they put in real effort was when they were trying to compensate for messing up. For how expensive this place is, it’s just not worth it. Once the apology meal is over, you’re back to getting subpar food. Look at the pictures and decide for yourself — I wish I had known better. Total waste of my money. Not going back.

I arrived and no one was at the front, I didn’t realize that to dine in I was just suppose to go sit outside. So I waited for someone at the counter and ordered, paid and advised it was to dine in. She proceeded to tell me to go sit outside. I must of upset them because my food was cold and my daughters tenders were over friend and hard. It makes me sad that I was not able to enjoy my food which was $27 for a dinner plate and the tenders were too hard for my daughter to consume. Never again!
Ok update! I always say there is a first time for everything! Well there is also a LAST TIME FOR SOME THINGS this place falls under the LAST TIME! The ribs were very tough and the only flavor came from the loads of bbq sauce! The baked beans tasted as if they were poured straout of a can of pork & beans! As for the coleslaw they claim it to be creamy but it's not and it too has very little flavor! Not sure how they have 4.3 ⭐️ rating I would only give it 1 ⭐️ and that is for the service very friendly other than that a total flop!
Literally worst service i have ever had in my life. waited 54 minutes for the worst food imaginable. waste of time
First time there and completely DISAPOINTED...yes corn bread served at ur table good if u like JIFFY CORN BREAD ( lil blue box) Home made mac and cheese FAR from it!!! It was boxed Kraft mac and cheese just like the canned beans... Tried Tip was dry and tough... no a pleasurable Experience at all.. and we were a party of 15... waste of time and money!!!!
Let’s start with this that the sandwich is super small when we got it. It was dry. I will not call this barbecue at all. The mac & cheese was diluted with water zero recommendation. I will not get there even if I was starving.
To say the food was disappointing would be u department. We were craving some good bbq with my family and we’re so excited to go there cause the place was good back in the day. I mean not much of an atmosphere or design which is fine for a simple place. The waitress made no effort . Everything came out cold. The meats had no flavor. Mac and cheese and beans had no taste. Even the coleslaw just tasted like cabbage . There was nothing that I can say was decent tasting . I am only writing the review so they read it and improve it asap. May be change the chef

This place has SOOO much potential!! What a shame to know the food has gone down hill over the years. My bf is a local and used to go years ago and used to love it, everyone we knew did. We recently went (my first time) and the vibe was super cute! They had live music when we went, it’s such a local little gem. The staff were young and really nice but not very attentive but not a deal breaker. They have outdoor and indoor seating. We sat inside. It’s exactly the vibe of a small town country bbq spot would be. You get complimentary corn bread (1 small muffin per person) it was actually really good. The food…no. Not at all. They have a really good menu option but there’s ZERO flavor. Including the bbq sauce option they offer, zero flavor. I ordered the tri tip sandwich, fries and Mac & Cheese & a Coke. The tri tip was DRY, flavorless and it has a light bbq sauce but again, no flavor at all. Fries were whatever, kinda hard to screw up fries. The Mac & Cheese… avoid at all cost. It tastes like microwave plastic. Very surprised to hear it’s made in house. My bf got the turkey burger. Again, flavorless and not memorable. He got fries and potato salad as a side. The potato salad was disgusting. The potatoes had a hard bite to them and the mayo dressing in it was watery and more like miracle whip. He ordered a homemade lemonade and it tasted like frozen concentrate. We gave honest feedback at the restaurant after we paid. We did not ask, not offered offered nor expected a free meal. As locals, we really hope they change the way they make their food because it has sooo much potential as a local spot. While we waited for our food we pretended they were on a Gordon Ramsey show and imagined what he would say… Get another chef in there & buy some seasonings!! Respectfully.
