I always get the garlic shrimp. It's is really delicious.... The cashew chicken, buttery seafood and chicken n broccoli is also good. The only thing the hours of open and close are not what it says here on the website. 10:30am to 9:30pm are their actual hours.

Get the chicken lo mein , wontng soup biscuits and a ⭐passion fruit tea⭐ and u will be very satisfied this is the best Chinese place from Lufkin to woodvill.. did I mention the passion fruit Tea 🔥 looks can be deceiving ..A+ food fresh and hot so be patient.

No dine in atmosphere to report so old building drive thru is misleading as easy menu (order by numbers as in Two Weeks Notice movie). And food was hot and good, and fresh. First time and had no clue but willing to try.

Food is good, but wait time is not. If they streamlined the menu to under 20 items, they could get customers in and out much faster.

The food and service here is very good, but if it's busy...expect to wait. It's just a husband and wife working together. He cooks and she serves.

I love the hot and spicy chicken and egg rolls. The food is consistently good and fresh but there is a problem with their drive through. They need to tell people to move up if their order isn't next in line.

This is a restaurant where you stop by to grab a bite to eat after a long day or you just simply do not feel like cooking. It’s drive thru only and the wait can be a little long but they do make sure that all your food is fresh and hot and if they’re out of what you ordered they make another batch. Would love to see these guys on DoorDash so we can order for those of us who cannot leave home or our places of work

Food is not bad for Chinese food in a small town. It is an old Sonic so seating inside is limited. It is a lot of food at a good price. My only complaint is that the A.C. units are set on 74, right in front of your face. Very hot inside.

The food was good. We had shrimp fried rice, general tso chicken, fried crab puffs and an egg roll. We did have to wait a little bit for the food, but felt it was being cooked fresh and it was nice and hot when we got it. The food was good and we will be back.

If they would take orders a head of time and allow people to pick up inside (they don't have to change, no dine-in) it would make a difference....but time frame, I can make something homemade in 15-20 minutes, so I'll save gas and time from waiting in the drive thru...

Food was ok, not really happy that i was served from the buffet. I ordered off the menu to not get buffet food. The resturant is an old sonic building that was repurposed not sure how they got a buffet in there. Will ask to have food made to order next time.

My family has ordered from here several times. Make certain to check your order before leaving, if food is missing you're charged and never called back after leaving messages. The child that took the order is very rude.

Food here is pretty good, people are very nice, I rated a 3 because last 3 times coming here through drive through, they have not completed my entire order, there has always been 1 or 2 items missing . I've gone back after calling them past 2 times, yesterday I just gave up.. Hopefully they will get better at this...

The pork fried rice, egg rolls and teriyaki chicken was good. Fried shrimp was ok. Extremely disappointed in the sweet and sour chicken. Gave it to the dogs. I will go back for the top 3 things. Not the worst Chinese food but I've definitely had better. But it's the only option here in town.

Ordered the pork lo mein. Port was old, stale and chewy. Lo mein also tasted old and chewy. Kind of a greasy waxy texture. It only had 3 pieces of cabbage. The lady taking the order was very sharp and rude. Don't think she wanted to be there. No sit down. Only take out. The girl at the time yelled at us there is no sit down. No signs. When we tried to order a combo dish she rudely said we don't do those now. No signs. I would not go back. Would rather go to local grocery and get frozen Chinese food. It would be much better. I don't even like frozen Chinese food. Oh the crab ragoons where odd texture and flavor and too sweet.

The best thing was the fried rice. The orange chicken and the general tso. Was both thrown out. The meat didn't taste right.

The chicken saute was near raw. The vegitable lo mein was scolding hot but raw ..likely prepped in advance and microwaved. An insult to Chinese takeout. I will NEVER eat there again

Soup was nothing but broth ,and waited in line for over a half hour after putting order in on line (guy in front of me placed his order there) food was warm barely and I have had better "chinese food " out of the freezer of 7-11. Has been twice now and I shall drive out of town to get chinese again

Place is a rip off and the food is mediocre at best. I've never had chinese food this bad, rice was yellow and gross, even the sweet & sour sauce was bad. The damn fortune cookie didn't even have a fortune n it

Food was good BUT we will not be coming back until they fix the ordering and pick up problems!!! Even if you order online you must wait in the long line until you get to the window. They do not ask cars to move forward and wait for food and it just gets so backed up. Should not have to sit in line for over 30 minutes.

My advice to customers is to Have them repeat your order before you pay for it with a cash app card. Because if it’s wrong , they void the whole order! Meaning … “your money takes a few days to be refunded “. So if u don’t have enough to pay again . You are SOL..

I was staying in woodville and the rating for this restaurant was 4 I can’t believe people would rate this place a 4 food was bland and tasteless I gave it a 1 cause can’t go lower very expensive for takeout— I’ve had better food at a truck stop sushi bar — this place is not for me mm

I ordered teriyaki chicken, general tso chicken, and rice. In both meat dishes the chicken was very questionable. Neither of my choices had the texture or flavor of chicken. So what did they serve me? It was closing time and they were not open for me to return and question them but I am concerned. People need to watch what they eat and voice thier opinion. As for me I tossed the meal and I'm still in discust. I'm all for supporting small town business but this place is just gross.

Previous experiences with China Cafe before becoming Skylers was excellent. The food was authentic and savory. Since becoming Skylers it tastes like it is right out of the box from the local Dollar Tree. All the food tasted the same. The vegetables were not cooked. I'm so disappointed.

I actually had to delete my original review because it was the original China Cafe i reviewd. I don't feel the same about Skyler's China Cafe. I ordered online then went to pick it up. By the time I got it home, it was almost cold. I had read the newest reviews and they were not good. But we figured, WTH we'll give them a chance. We ordered what we always ordered because we loved the hot hunan beef and combo fried rice, plus the lo mein noodles. First off, the rice was undercooked and crunchy. It had no taste whatsoever. The hunan beef was always our favorite with the vegetables. It didn't taste even close like it used to. It had no flavor and it was grainy tasting with no tanginess that it once had. The veggies, that used to taste so good were flat and bland. The lo mein had a grainy texture and tasted bland. There is no chance we'll ever eat there again. A once excellent place for Chinese food is not that place anymore. I just blew $25.00 ugh

I loved this place in the past but they changed everything. Rice crunchy yuk, noodles slimy yuk, hot hunan beef was cold and tasted rancid yuk going in the trash.... next time I'm going to livingston for panda.

I've given it multiple chances. The portions are very very small. I ordered lunch one day and they literally put a tiny spoonful of noodles that fit inside the tiny part of the to go box. I thought maybe they weren't always like that. I just went for dinner and they portions were still small. We ordered 2 orders of egg rolls and got 2 egg rolls when it should have been 4. We ordered pepper steak and got a tiny bit of that and a decent portion of lo mein at least. We also ordered sweet and sour chicken and received a tiny condiment cup of sweet and sour sauce. It was enough to dip 3 pieces of chicken. And this was $30! Two barely filled to go boxes, 2 egg rolls, and a tiny condiment cup of sauce. They don't even give fortune cookies and we waited it line for 45 minutes. 🫠🫠🫠

This is not a clean place. My feet were sticking to the floor.. There was a child running and jumping all over the place. I was going to eat there but decided not to for that reason. I ordered 3 meals and they put all of them in 1 bag. The bottom meal busted from the weight, and leaked all in my truck! I ordered the beef and mushroom. It was the worst junk ever. Over seasoned with soy and salt..nasty!!! The fried rice wasn't even cooked all the way..absolutely disgusting!I tasted the coconut shrimp was actually really good. But im going home hungry after spending $40 + I will not be back...
