Huge portions. Reasonably priced. Extensive menu
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Been eating at this place for many years and will continue. Paul and Linda are awesome people. The bartenders and wait staff are top notch. I've give 10 stars of I could.
We got the Sunday table dinner for 4. It was delicious and a fantastic deal. We selected the Vodka Chicken and penne which came with garlic bread, side salad, and brownies for $32.99. Best deal in town.
In my opinion this is one of the top 3 Italian Restaurants in the Capital Region area. Awesomely large menu, great service by classicly attired and skilled but friendly waitstaff. Very nice outdoor patio with more limited patio menu, but great atmosphere, firepit and raw shellfish bar. You will likely leave with leftovers to enjoy a second meal.
It needs to be remodel. It's been like 15 years with the same decor. More modern
Thank you for a great meal when our friend Mikey took us there because I wanted to taste real Italian food. I was impressed with the food and everything was perfect. Thanks to the cook whom did a fantastic job!!!!
The business offers dinners called Dine and Dash for 2,4,or 6 people Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The best if you are busy or unable to cook. Food is wonderful
We hosted an intimate 65th anniversary party for my parents yesterday at Paolo Lombardi's- the entire experience could not have been better! A few months ago when my sister and I were trying to figure out how to celebrate our parents milestone anniversary (during the challenge of COVID-19) she suggested Lombardi's. From the initial phone call with Linda, to the planning with Nellie, and the day of wait staff this has been one of the most pleasant and effortless party planning experiences ever. They could not have been more accommodating and attentive. The food was just terrific, so delicious and perfect size portions. I have a bridal shower to plan this upcoming year and there is no doubt that Paolo Lombardi's will be the location. My family is so grateful to everyone at Lombardi's for making this such a wonderful day.
First experience here tonight, we did "Dash and Dine" and what a fabulous deal and excellent meal! The convienence of ordering, amount and quality of food, and the price cannot be beat! Paolo Lombardi's has new loyal customers!

Food and service were amazing! I'll be back. Wine by the glass could use a little expansion, but I was given a free sample of the only other dry white on the by the glass list. In my case, pinot grigio or chardonnay. The food was amazing! And the dessert & coffee excellent as well.
I ate at Paolo Lombardi's in early 2013 during a family member's anniversary party. The atmosphere and food were beyond my expectations, being extremely good. Wonderful dining options at a pretty good value. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to try something new. Why wait 1-2 hrs on a weekend at some chain restaurant when you can go to a place like this, be seated quickly, and have a great meal for less $$?
I proposed to my wife here 13 years ago. We just came back for our anniversary. The meal we just had has to be the best meal I have ever had. There are not enough stars. Absolutely incredible!!
We had a party of 12 for a retirement party, everyone really enjoyed all our food and wine. Service was excellent. I had the risotto Di Mare and it was superb. We will be back!!
Great restaurant! Food and service are always amazing. I eat here at least once every time I come to the area!! My favorite Italian restaurant in all of NY and Fl
Every time we've gone the food has been incredible and a lot of it we always wind up bringing food home. Definitely worth the trip.
Took my daughter for her birthday! She loves king crab legs and the are one of the few restaurants that have them. They have Italian dishes and surf/turf too. Very good service as well.
THE FOOD WAS PHENOMENAL AND THE SERVERS WERE WONDERFUL WILL 10000% BE COMINGBACK
My family and I have eaten here twice and it has become our favorite place to celebrate our special occasions. Courteous service and the meals and portions are excellent. A bit out of the city but well worth the trip. By far one of the tastiest menus around
Great Italian food reasonable pricing
Went there with my fiancee for the first time, had the pasta fagioli as my dinner. The soup was delicious, service was fantastic. The waiter knew the specials, described the dishes after asking us if we were new customers. Fiancee loved her creme based dish and took the rest home, the waiter knew which deserts were made from scratch and which ones weren't, the peanut butter type desert was stupid delicious. Loved the place and will be going back!
Wonderful restaurant with amazing food, attentive service, and reasonable prices. The only negative I could find would be a few surprise charges on the bill like no free refills on sodas and a $5.00 surcharge added for using a credit card to pay our $160 bill. I didn't really care though since everything else was so fantastic. And to the prior reviewer complaining about the "acoustics" that he found "confusing," give me a break...it's a restaurant not a concert hall lol.
Our experience was great for the celebrationof a birthday. The server was very pleasant and the food was great. Food is made to order so it took a while to prepare. Everyone's meal was delicious. Prices were reasonable each of the menu items. We would go back for another occasion.
Great local treasure! Quality of service and food is off the chart and very reasonable in price. Very best Italian restaurant in Rensselaer country.
My diet is vegetarian/gf. Wish they had had GF bread. Wish they had had GF Linguine or spaghetti. The salad was great. The sautéed spinach as well. Service too. Just wish there had been more options for me with my dietary restrictions. Ambiance was very mediocre
Went there New Years Eve with a party of 7. Food was excellent and the waitress was great. Problem was when we got one bill for all of us and I could not take the bill to the cashier and pay my part with a credit card. We went crazy trying to figure our who owed what. We ended up splitting the bill and I know it cost me more and I had to borrow money to pay my part. Never will I go through that again.
The salmon in pistachio crust is to die for delicious. We were slow to order and got behind a very large birthday party, so we were there for 2 hours - but that was on us. Nightly specials are well worth trying. Don't expect just another Italian restaurant when you go there. Scrumptious and memorable.
We came here for our anniversary. The food was phenomenal and the waiter Brenden was the sweetest, most attentive and spot on waiter I have seen in a long time. I would definitely recommend. My husband and I were very impressed.
Fabulous Restaurant! Excellent food, great service. Just Amazing!
The best Italian food in the capital district. Dash n Dine is such a great deal, and the food is top notch. Always add an Antipasto Caldo. You won't be disappointed.
The staff is extremely friendly, The servers are excellent, They have been well trained. Very attentitive to your comfort and patient with your ordering and stay. You never feel like you are being rushed to eat and leave. They are great at helping each other out. They stay productive keeping busy with what ever needs to be done. The food is excellent and you always receive generous portions. It is servered with quality of taste and apperance. You can tell that the chef takes great pride in making sure you have a great experience at the restaurant. The atmosphere is also a huge pleasure. It is not chatoic. When you are there, you can relax, not feel rushed, and are very comfortable. You can acually speak to each other without having to be loud. I have been in other places where it was and you could barely hear yourself think. The inside is very well kept. as far as presentation and cleanliness, as is the outside areas. I would also like to mention their dash and dine, as well as their Sunday table. The menu for the dash and dine. as is the Sunday Table, is outstanding, For the price and what you get, I don't understand why cars are not lined up for a mile outside for pickups. The portions are, again, very generous. For the price of what you get in quality and portions, we usually get 2 meals from it, but we are not big eaters either, and the convenience of not having to rush to prepare dinner after a full day of work, leaving you with more relaxation time at home, is a super bonus . Check out their menu and see for yourself.
First time visit, with no reservation. Seabass and shrimp special over linguine was outstanding. Calamari appetizer was special - tender and tasty with a little heat. Great service and warm atmosphere. Will be back soon!
As the area has lost some iconic Italian restaurants over the past few years, we have been looking for a place that has...it.! The food, the people...the setting itself. Perfect !!
Just had a baby shower there, great food , great service, lots of staff that were on top of everything, great value
Food is always fantastic. LOVED the Zuppa di Vongole (clams) - maybe the best I have ever had, and i have this dish wherever its available! Meatballs were tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, smothered in sauce and mozz. Chef was kind enough to make me shrimp parm, even though it's not on the menu. Delicious, of course! Prices are reasonable, and portions are substantial. As is the custom in the Capital District, our leftovers will serve as another full meal.
We had a function there and it was spectacular. The service was truly five-star, which is harder and harder to find these days. The banquet room was well-appointed, and the food. The food! There was a great deal of it, and it was spectacular. Even better, we had a lot of guests fall ill and not make it, so they packed the buffet up as leftovers so we could make care packages. I was blown away from start to finish. Thank you so much!
Daughters baby shower in small event space. Event coordinator very easy to work with. Very nice table set ups. The breakfast/lunch combo buffet was excellent and plenty to take home. Wait staff vary attentive. Well worth the cost.
A lovely dinner. Lombardi's is one of only a few restaurants that includes salad with dinner. The house salad is generous in portion and very fresh. My lasagna was perfect and I brought home a nice portion for the next day. Constant companion had the eggplant also fabulous and he too brought home some. Needless to say we were so full we couldn't get desert. Maybe another time. Our server was terrific and quite attentive.
Went here for a large family get together.... We had a private room which was nice, the service was great, they were able to quickly check the buffet menu for my allergy to accommodate. I only got a Pic of the salad lol. But the food was delicious, the risotto and the carbonara was my fav.
First time dining here. Service was impeccable and food was over the top delicious served in a pleasant, inviting atmosphere. Extensive menu selection with something for everyone's taste. Highly recommend and we will definitely return in the future!
Paul, Linda and staff were very professional, attentive and accommodating. We ordered the bereavement package plus some extras. Everything about our experience was excellent. They took very good care of our family during a difficult time. There was so much food we all got to take some home.
We ate it All and took no pictures... SO DELICIOUS 😋
Love this place! I am a huge fan of Dash n Dine! Especially the roast beef with mashed potatoes. I wish they would offer it more often.
Our dining out experienced at Palol Lombardi’s restaurant was phenomenal. The food was the best we’ve had in a long time. Each entree was made to perfection. The salad was fresh and tasty. Their bleu cheese dressing was the absolute best. The desserts were amazing. Our server was great, very personable and attentive. We will surely go back again.
Excellent portions. Very friendly staff. Our waitress was awesome. She noticed something wasn’t right with one of the dishes that was order and kindly offered to fix it. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. Beautiful decor inside and out. The outside patio looked awesome (we sat inside).
We only go once a year for our annual Christmas dinner with friends, the same 4 of us the same weekend every year for the past 15 plus years and not once have we had a bad meal or service, everything is always perfect, the staff is attentive, courteous and helpful. I'm adding to my review this year 2024 we actually just left the restaurant about 30 minutes ago and we had once again another amazing dinner,
I went to Paolo's for a birthday dinner with my family. All 8 of us enjoyed our meals. We ordered everything from veal to chicken to fish, and every meal was delicious. Very large portions and extremely flavorful. Definitely a must visit restaurant and worth the drive!
Simply the best! Keep reading if you are planning an event: My husband and I had our afternoon wedding reception at Paolo Lomabardi's. The experience could not have been better from start to finish!!! We had an intimate wedding ceremony at a Church prior with about 70 of our closest friends and family. We wanted a low-key early dinner and Paolo's did not disappoint. The event planner was outstanding and very responsive to all communication. We initially had dinner at the restaurant and fell in love with the food, atmosphere and service. The day of the wedding the guests were all treated exceptionally and couldn't believe how great the service was. The food was also fantastic and plentiful. Many of the guests were given to-go containers for leftovers which was a nice touch. We also unexpectedly were given all of our cocktail hour leftovers which was super helpful in feeding guests after the event was over. I truly cannot say more about how wonderful our wedding reception was and our family still talks about the food. It is also great to have a go-to place for our future anniversaries. If you need to plan an event for family and friends I would not think twice about booking Paolo's. It was a fantastic value for the quality of service and delicious food!
Went on a Friday night and was fairly crowded. We were seated within minutes. Calamari app was excellent! Chicken Marsala and lasagna dinners were cooked to perfection. No room for dessert but we had doggy bags too. Could use an update to the interior. Highly recommend.
Everything you expect from a white tablecloth. The service was fantastic, everyone working was friendly and helpful. Food was served quickly and absolutely astounding. I had the chicken special for the evening and I was absolutely blown away by the flavor. It's a little more expensive than I would expect, but the lovely decor, happy servers, and huge portions made up for that easily. I'll definitely be back.
Highly recommend this place. Service was amazing, food was outstanding, atmosphere was perfect. It’s pricey for sure, but the portions are large. I would definitely go back. Parking was easy, made a reservation so I was seated right away, and the service, though slightly slow due to a backed up kitchen, was attentive and prompt. Everything about this place is 10/10.
An absolute great first experience from the apps(calamari w/ balsamic and cherry peppers ) to the Entrees...Lobster Ravioli W/large chunks of lobster. They were also very accommodating and made a to-go dish they no longer had on menu for us to take home to my mother. I can NOT recommend this place enough
No problem at this restaurant. We had attentive waitstaff, the food was delicious and the atmosphere fit the Italian motif I was looking for.
While the prices are increasing and portions are shrinking everywhere else, Paolo Lombardi’s has extremely generous portions at very reasonable prices. The food was delicious and my husband even had leftovers which never happens.
Great little local spot for some homestyle Italian food. Easy parking, great facilities. Generous portions, with pretty decent shellfish. Solid choice for a date night or when Aunty comes to town and you need a decent spot. Sits between Grappa '72 and Moscatiello's on the Pasta-O-meter...
As a family, we navigate to this restaurant for surprise birthday parties, and this time was of equal greatness. The food was, as always, fantastic. I was able to split my steak meal with my cousin for half of his chicken parmigiana and both were fabulous dishes. Great pasta sauce as well. The staff was amazing and tended to this event with true passion to their jobs. A must place to eat for any occasion!
The food and drinks were top notch! Our waiter was above and beyond. I only wish that I could remember his name. Not only his attentiveness but his personality shone making our experience beyond reproach!
We love Paolo Lombardi's, we been going every year to celebrate our aniversary. We recomended. Dont forget to call to make reservations
Great old time feel. There are not alot of restaurants around like this anymore. The food is always great and the staff is always great and make you feel like family.
So we did not feel like cooking at all tonight… first time doing this dash & dine… it was chicken milanese tonight came with a salad, bread & garlic butter… it was so delicious & for the unbeatable price of 20 dollars!!! Had to get that asparagus frito too… my favorite!!!
My son and his family were visiting this week from Alaska and they wanted to take me out to dinner for my birthday. I hadn’t been to Paolo Lombardi’s in at least 10 years and I remember it being so wonderful then and it still is. Everything was perfect. My son and his wife said it was the best Italian food/seafood they have ever had. All of the staff were excellent, and so nice. I can’t say enough good things about all of them . If you want a wonderful dining experience, please go there. So many delicious amazing options on the menu. Attention to detail is outstanding. BTW, their pizza must be excellent, because there were endless people coming to pick up pizzas that I could see through a side window . I will have to order some pizza from there sometime soon !! 😊👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😊
This place has been a SOLID Italian restaurant for years. Our most recent experience proves that PL still gets how great food, superior service, fair pricing go a LONG WAY to keep diners coming back. In addition to delicious food, our server Alayna, was exceptional. Service these days can be shaky so it was very refreshing to get someone so on top of her game. All of the staff we encountered were impressive as well. All in all, we look forward to coming back for a tasty meal in the near future!
5 of us for dinner, salad + bread + every dish was perfect. I had haddock & italian potatoes. Definitely will be on my permanent stops. Worth the trip! Which was a short ride!
All the meals were fantastic. From the Egg Plant, Veal Parmasan, Sea Food and Pasta and my Filet with Shrimp delicious. They even made changes to one of the orders with no issues. Prompt and friendly service. We were not rushed or hurried. This for a group of eight people. All liked the decor and very good seating at a round table making conversation easy. We will go back.
We came here on a Sunday night for a birthday celebration. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Our server wore a mask though some others did not. We were dissapointed in the beer selection (only 2 draught beers, and cans of IPAs or domestic beers only - I instead chose wine, my husband opted to stick with water) but our evening improved from there. The appetizers arrived promptly followed quickly by salads. The wait for our entrées was slightly longer which made my son fidgety, but he was enjoying the fresh bread which kept him occupied for a time. It had been a long time since we visited and I'd forgotten just how large the portions are! My meal was so large I was able to share with my son and still have leftovers. I ordered the Melanzana Alla Parmigiana which was perfect (the eggplant was neither greasy nor too bready) and opted for linguini alfredo on the side instead of traditional marinara (my son approved!). My husband ordered the Scallopini Capriccio and not a morsel came home! The restaurant was full, so we were glad to have made reservations. We look forward to returning again soon! Also noting that while we dined in for this visit, the restaurant also offers "dash and dine" takeout orders midweek which are a WONDERFUL value. Check these out on their website!
Always a great dine-in experience, but their dine and dash is great!! Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, you can order their meal of the day to bring home. Dinners for 2, 4 or 6. Get on their email list so you can receive each week's dinner selections on Sunday.
The food was very good as always, the only thing preventing stop from getting a 5-star review is the slow speed of service. we had waited 40 minutes after ordering just to get our appetizers. Very difficult when you have small children.
I have spent the past two Easter Sundays at Paolo Lombardi's for their Easter Brunch, and I have always left happy and full. The staff is always attentive, the food is top notch, and the atmosphere is very casual. Top that with great prices, and there's not much more to ask for.
Ordered a take out for Mother's Day. While the food was great, the order was incomplete. Had to call and get a reimbursement to my credit card. Very disappointing!
Food was fabulous! Portions were very generous. Pricing was reasonable (especially for the amount of food you get). Waitstaff was friendly and polite. The only negative thing I can say is it took the waitstaff 25 minutes to come back after we finished eating to wrap leftovers and another 15 minutes before they asked if we wanted coffee or dessert...that wait time was the reason we did not get the coffee or dessert.
The food was good and tasty but the atmosphere was a bit sterile for an up-scale Italian restaurant. The Acoustics were somewhat loud and I found it confusing during conversation. My visit was during the day. Maybe the atmosphere changes during the darker hours. All and all it was an ok visit for me.
Please provide a better picture of the complete menu. Thank you 😊
Had dinner this past Sunday with friends. Food was great and waiter was very attentive. Had an assorted seafood dinner with the hot marinara sauce. Was excellent. I am 6’6” at 250 pounds. I found the seating cramped at best and the wooden chairs uncomfortable. They appear to be old and a little wobbly. Maybe have to sit on the patio.
Hadn't been to Paolo Lombardi in a while..probably be a even longer time before I go back...Great service..good atmosphere...nice and clean...I ordered the house lasagna...nothing but a mess...unrecognizable as a lasagna dish...soggy noodles...just a mess of ground beef .sauce..and wet noodles...not what I remember at all...
I'd like to give more stars but unfortunately I can't. This was my first visit to this restaurant, and although the waitress was pleasant she was just so utterly slow. It was only my husband and I. Our appetizer came out before our drinks, our salads took a half hour, shortly after the salads came another couple sat down near us. Our food had come we were not offered freshly grated cheese on our dishes like we had noticed the other tables were being offered. She did not come around and ask us how our entrees were or even a refill of our drinks. The hostess did come over and ask how everything was. The food was very good! The service not so much. We had 6:30 reservations and finally left by 8:20pm the same time as the couple who sat next to us.
The pasta was good and the decor was pretty. Thats all the positives. Let me be clear. I expect fine dining to be better than a diner. This meal was not. The server left us alone for too long - so we couldn't order additional drinks. After changing her mind that she *did* want something other than water, my wife had to wait more than 20 minutes to order her drink - while staring at an empty table setting (after the apps were cleared). When she did come into the dining room where we were seated, she seemed to ignore ohr efforts to get her attention, so all our problems just snow balled. Appetizers took 30 minutes from our order of them. Main course took over 90 minutes from when we ordered it. We spent most of the time we were there with nothing but bread (which we had to request while we waited). We tried to order our desert before the main course arrived (so we wouldn't have to wait??), but everyone disappeared after we were served - even though we were trying to talk to them. Our steaks were inedible due to salt level (have you ever smelled the salt on someone's plate? I could, while leaning away!). The manager/hostess/maitre'd/someone came over to ask about our steaks specifically, so she knew there was a problem. We were clear that they were hardly edible but we had to leave, not wait another 90 minutes for new food. The manager didn't apologize for the wait, or the saltiness. We asked that our food be boxed up so we could eat it at home, saying we'd give the steaks to our dogs - only one of the dogs would eat the steak. We got desert to go. The tiramisu did not taste of coffee/espresso at all and was made w strips of cake, not lady fingers. It got thrown out. The Godiva chocolate mousse pie was ok, but was basically chocolate pudding on an oreo crust. All in all, service was meh. Food was slow and filet mignon salted to death. Deserts were underwhelming. Manager didn't seem to care how poor our experience was. In fairness, there were two huge parties seated at the same time as our table. But, if you can't serve us, then cancel the reservations you can't handle or call in enough staff for the reservations.
Food is overall good, however be prepared to wait for awhile for food to be cooked(We waited 2 and ½ hours). Occasionally there will be mistakes. DO NOT expect those dishes to be taken off the bill, you will have to pay for them. But, you will be offered free desert. Some advice, eat desert at the restaurant cause they tend to be lacking or melt if taken to-go. Lastly, we had a bad experience with service, but it’s because our waitress had another table of over 40 people all to herself, so she was very stressed. Most likely not returning.
Got a to go order here for the first time. Chicken parm and bread were great. Vodka sauce was just oil and tomatoes and sun dried tomatoes. So many tomatoes I won't want any for a week. Definitely not vodka sauce. Worst tiramisu I ever had, very dry. They also gave us the wrong salad ☹
Food is consistently good and wait staff is typically top notch. Giving two stars because last visit, the hostess refused to seat us in the dining area early in the dinner hour. We did not have a reservation, and she seemed very upset about this, even though there were two (TWO!) tables occupied in the entire restaurant. She told us, "this place will be hopping soon." Well, after an uncomfortable meal in the bar at a hightop table that aggravated a bad back, there were still TWO tables occupied in the dining area. Sometimes popular restaurants let their "fame" go to their heads and this results in poor customer service given to non-regulars. Won't be returning again.
I used to LOVE this restaurant. Recent visit was marred by waiters nasty donut mask. So stretched out they had to keep touching it. The owners can’t supply clean? And THAT was just the beginning. The beautiful chandelier was so filthy, I had all I could do not to tell them. Didn’t want to gross out the others dining. Oh and the heating duct covers were caked with greasy dust, these are blowing the dirt onto the guests and their food. The lasagna sauce tasted burnt, no homemade pasta anymore but plenty of salt in the Alfredo. But let’s top all off this off with the woman delivering the salads had her bare fingers in my salad. I could see her polish chipped too. On the way out I told the hostess. So rude, almost yells sorry at me. Please clean up your act for those brave enough to return. Oh and let folks know you want cash payment when they walk in the door. I love a good surcharge surprise😀
Bizarre experience on Saturday. Went, ordered the chicken special, learned when being served that the menu I'd been shown was last weeks menu, and this week there was a very different special than what I was expecting. It was not great. The steamed vegetables were good.
If i could give this place zero starts i would. Came to this place for dinner with my Fiancee on a Friday night and the service was horrible. Our server Teresa had an attitude towards us from the beginning, and it took more than an hour to get our food. At the end of our visit she over charged us for food, claiming that we had drinks at the bar before sitting at a table. I would not recommend eating at this place.
Have you ever been scolded on your birthday? My stepmother has. 5 of us dined here last night. Four meals were perfect. My wife and my stepmother split two dishes. After each tasting the eggplant rolatini, the both thought it awful, as if something in it was bad. They sent it back after one bite each. The disappeared on our bill at the end of the evening. When we inquired, the manager/owner came out and began very aggressively telling us how there was nothing wrong with the dish and they’re not taking it off the bill. She was rude, accusatory, telling us that we don’t understand dining. She told us how much business she has and essentially stating that she doesn’t need ours. She was met with shocked silence. I’ve never been treated like this in a restaurant before, no less by owners. I was really shocked and will certainly oblige her by never going back.
I genuinely thought the owner was going to physically hurt me after inquiring about my boyfriends rare cooked veal. I’ll be honest I was about to cry. I just gave her my card and let her know that she was being argumentative and I didn’t wish to speak any longer.. She ended up taking half off of the steak but it wasn’t worth the way I was yelled at. We’re just two college students trying to get a nice Italian dinner— we really tried to give it a chance. Never going back.
Went there last week. Eggplant dinner was terrible. Couldn't even tell it was breaded and fried. It was just mushy. Owners wife was rude. She charged for the dinner even though they took it back and I didn't eat it. I'll never go back. Place went down hill after covid. They only care about making money.
Been there numerous times and was pleased. Went with a group of 12 last night, terrible experience. One of our party needed to order gluten free which is not on the porch menu but is on the house menu. Was told that they couldnt bring the house menu to the porch so she had to look up the menu online. The waitress after much discussion did concede to bring to our table. Two meals were served a minimum twenty minutes later than the rest of our table. One meal was returned because it was too rare and they cooked more. Waited at least 25 minutes for the second round of drinks. Didnt get that warm and fuzzy feeling last night, just sayin...........................
This place was a disgrace and the service was the root cause. I will NEVER return to this place. My girlfriend and I made a reservation to have a nice dinner for our 1 year anniversary, as I have been to this restaurant before I wasn't expecting what was to come because the service and food were great in the past, however not this time around. We arrived just before our reservation and were promptly seated, we proceeded to sit for over 20 minutes without any staff approaching us or even offering to get our drink order. In all my years of going out to eat I have NEVER EVER received this kind of terrible service. I refuse to ever recommend this place to any respectable person and I will make sure that everyone I know never steps foot inside of it.
Went there to rekindle a date night that was long overdue. Bread was fantastic. Hard to mess that up. Ordered scallops with bacon appetizer, scallops were fishy and undercooked while bacon was crispy. We ordered the steak special. I got the sirloin with a red wine demi glaze. There was no glaze. It was literally red wine over top of my overcooked steak. Nothing reduced, mostly water like. Ordered medium, received well done. Was told the potatoes were a mashed potato of the day with an onion and pepper hash. Received 3 small russet potatoes essentially microwaved on a plate, with raw red peppers and a red onion cut and spiked with a thyme sprig. I've never seen anything like it. It was like a red onion cupcake for a birthday. The lady next to me ordered the same thing while I was there and once it arrived I heard her say, "what is this?!?!" Onion was not edible. On the plate for show with the thyme sticking out the top. My girlfriend ordered the filet. Again, not medium. It was the special, zero sauce on it. We had to ask for A1 to save it. Both of us were to receive U15 shrimp, 3 in total. I had about 2 ¼, my one shrimp was literally the tail that was inedible. I paid $9 to add it to my sirloin. That was a waste. The shrimp were equivalent to a 25-30 at best. Such a let down. Then came the bill....$140 for 2 meals, the appetizer, and 2 drinks. Without tax. We've been wanting to try it out and we're warned, but now we know why. Overrated, overpriced, and unbelievable plating. The raw red onion cupcake was mind blowing.
