We lived in Tuckahoe and always got our fish from Eastchester Fish, who, are amazing, however, this place is equal to or even greater than Eastchester Fish. Excellent selection, excellent prepared foods, very knowledgeable and service is great. Since living in Yonkers we are now converts!

Listen... I used to go there and buy seafood in 1984. The fish was great the trays well nice Most recently I was in yonkers and visited the fishery and it was still great good food and nice people....Keep it up see ya in another 10 years

A nice fish market, but they also make cooked lunches which are awesome. Before and during the Covid Pandemic, the lobster rolls were only $11.50! So good! Love the 2 salmon burgers & fries lunch for $11.75, too.

First time we ordered from here. I had the Lobster dinner and my husband had the fish dinner and clams raw and fried. WE LOVE IT!!! Everything was delicious and Packed neatly! JJR Highridge Fishery is hands-down my favorite spot for seafood in Yonkers. This family-run place has been around for decades, and you can taste the difference—the owner heads out at dawn every day for the freshest catch, and it shows in every dish. The fried fish is crispy, flavorful perfection, and I’m obsessed with the grilled shrimp Caesar salad and that dill sauce that makes everything better. The owner’s super friendly too—always a warm hello and genuine vibe that keeps me coming back. It’s takeout-only (no sit-down), which is fine for quick grabs, but honestly, my one wish is they stayed open later into the night. I’m often craving this stuff when I’m hungry late, and they close around 6:30–7pm most days. Still, for lunch or early dinner? Totally worth planning around. Best fresh seafood around—highly recommend!

A spotlessly clean business and an experienced staff of professionals who are dedicated to an extreme work ethic (no shortcuts here) which is a major reason this a great & beloved business. The food is outstanding! Market fresh selections which arrive daily and prepared at point of purchase.They are happy to cook anything you choose among their cleaned & fresh daily selection. We chose the seafood; large fresh shrimp freshly breaded and deep fried to perfection. Flounder filets which we chose were meaty, tasty & tender, again we had these breaded and deep fried, absolutely amazing ! Didn’t even need to add tartar sauce or any type of condiment which they’re happy to provide. The scallops we ordered and chose to also deep fried were so sweet & delicious. The side dishes here are fabulous and there’s a fair amount of choices that you could make which I can tell you are just insanely delicious. We did roasted corn on the Cobb, also fried onion rings which I swear were simply the best onion rings I’ve ever had in my life. I wish I lived closer as I would then frequent this business routinely. I feel like this business brings people a lot of luck and good fortune. I say that because I’ve had so much good fortune since the first I came here in 2020. First time we ordered from here. I had the Lobster dinner and my husband had the fish dinner and clams raw and fried. WE LOVE IT!!! Everything was delicious and Packed neatly! This place is pretty good. When you walk in, someone usually asks you what you want, or if you have any questions. What I mean is, you can browse the beautiful seafood displayed, but you won't be ignored. When I have been there, the staff seemed genuinely pleased to help me with selecting and properly preparing my choices. The seafood I got was fresh and good.

Had whiting and flounder sandwiches with a side of cole slaw; both super fresh, made to order, loved the slaw. Took crab cakes home, a bit too salty for me but still very delicious. Will return.

Highridge Fishery Seafood Inc is the place to be for your happy hour between 4 and 6 . Aaron the bartender makes an awesome Grey Goose dirty martini, we enjoy coming here for happy hour because we like to support the local business. Just like a cheers everybody knows your name we love it here.

The lunch special here is very good. For 12 bucks you get fresh fish cooked up with a side (like rice or fries or vegetables). The workers are nice and efficient. They even have a nice little place to sit outside. I have not purchased anything here other than the lunch special, but the fish looks very nice in the display.

It's a very nice fish market with good quality seafood yet a bit overpriced. They are great with customer service, have a nice variety, will cook most of the food for you, are clean and their goods are wild caught. It's a small market that offers a lot of value. We've gotten a variety of things there including fried oysters, whiting, cod, clams etc and they stock boxed batter and dipping sauces. It may be small but they usually have what you need.

Ordered the whiting sandwich, it was OK. Fish was thin, could have used another portion. Flouder parmigiana sandwich was good. Best was fried shrimp with fries, good flavor.

Great fresh fish however the fried fish is not what is labeled the fried flounder & whiting is Tailapia I have questioned them three times they said it was waiting or flounder but whitening is a different shape

I don’t know yet if I’ll give it a 5 star or what so because when I pay for the lobster they forgot to give back my card. I already left home when I realized I don’t have it with me. I was able to get it but I need to check if nothing gets wrong with my card after a while before I put 5 star and give them my trust. The guy said he forgot the card until I left, forgiven, but let’s see. Thanks

We were shopping there for almost a year. Never had a problem until I bought some fresh fish. My 85 year old mother called me 2 minutes after leaving the store. She changed her mind and asked me kindly to return it. The guy was so nasty and said no. I defended myself and told him I would call my credit card company. He finally refunded it I will never go here again. The rest of the staff is nice. THERE ARE OTHER FISH IN THE SEA.

Please know that until yesterday I’d have given four or five star ratings. High Ridge has been my go-to place for reliably fresh seafood. Maybe it was wrong of me to purchase fish on a Tuesday. I bought 2 pounds of sole at $21.99#. In this case, fish was foul. How could they sell such reeking stuff? —Bewildered in Bronxville.

I have been a customer for over 30 and never returned anything until Monday. I purchased fried shrimp & 1 lb of flounder. When I opened the package the flounder had a bad smell. So I decided to return it the next day. I explained that the fish had an odor & I was afraid to cook it. He was rude and practically called me a liar. I decided to buy some calamari with the credit. . I purposely asked if they were fresh. He assured me they were ok. So I came home & cooked them. When I tasted one I had to spit it out it was so bad... So I called to speak to Louis & he told me that I was hard to please & that I should go to another fish store. Great customer service. I returned them today and will never go back. They lost a loyal customer.

Twice I went to purchase fish and arrived one day at 25 to 7, one day at 20 to 7, the store sign said it closes at seven. Both times almost all the fish was put away. I walked in the first time, the guy gave me a look of annoyance, I walked out. The second time I decided I was going to buy the fish, it was almost as if I was doing them a favor, not welcoming to a customer at all, I was an inconvenience that arrived 20 minutes before closing. When i finished my purchase, the employee walked to the door, locked it, flipped the closed sign & gave me a nasty look through the window. Obviously the store does not value customers , if you're going to close before the time posted then change the times posted. The fish I bought was not that fresh I threw it out. Will not shop there again. The attitude of the employees is not welcoming, it almost made me feel like something else was going on besides fish being sold there.

Brought lunch from here earlier today ( not the first time). I typically stop by here when i do laundry next door I ordered a 10 piece shrimp and ate only 3 before I became nauseous. I began to drive home and had non-stop diarrhea along side abdominal cramping everything was different today they gave me food poisoning!

I have been going to high ridge fishery for years I moved away but when ever I come down I stop in a buy dinner yesterday I went in bought two stuff sole stuffed with crab meat $42.00 one order of baked clams $9.00 and one lemon came to $67.00 I used my debit they charged me 4 percent for using my debit when my friend saw this she told them you can’t charge for debit showed him the article saying if he’s reported he will be fined we left when I cooked everything it wasnt the same as always clams were watery stuff sole was taste less and after all that im been sick since 430 am praying i dont have food poisoning will never go again

I ordered today grill salmon and 6 whitening fish. And vegetables like broccoli, carrots and zucchini. After work I went to pick up and the withening fish who supposed to be a large size was some small fish.Anything else but not whitening fish. The vegetables were burned and have only zucchini and mushrooms. Everything was cooked wrong. The person who was a lady ,unprofessional and to fresh told me to come when Emilio is there. Yes but I m hungry today not other day
