Overall great, a little hot in there, don't like to sweat in my food....

It was our first time and we fell in love with the whole experience. We had our twin nephews and our American Bully Ivy. We had just finished a shopping spree at Petsmart and we were hungry. We found this amazing restaurant which catered to all our needs! We had children a dog and very hungry parents. The service was 10/10 if we could rate ten stars we would. The food was so delicious and the outside patio was just what we needed! The kids got a classic car as their plate. They brought some water for Ivy and she enjoyed it! 😉 We will be coming back and will recommend to anyone!!! Pet friendly! Kid friendly and adult approved!

We’ve gone to this restaurant and location several times. It’s a cute hometown style restaurant. The food is good and the serving portions are great. I can never eat everything. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. There is a stocked bar if you’re interested in having an alcoholic beverage. I was able to maneuver my walker in the aisle and I could have used my wheelchair if I wanted to. They have “Taco Tuesday” and we go regularly. The prices are great and the amount of meat in the street tacos is huge.

The crossiant turkey avocado sandwhich was fresh and delicious. Service was quick and kind and Id recommend the passion iced tea to drink.

Really good food. I got the beefeater sandwich with onion rings and the carnitas fries. Both are delicious. The sandwich comes with grilled peppers which gives it a lot of flavor. The onion rings were also very good, not just a bunch of bland batter. The fries have gravy, cheese, and carnitas. It's almost like poutine, really delicious. I'm so glad this place is here now and I'll definitely be coming every few months.

Had the BLT, chili and salad. Was def above average food. Good beer selection too.

I visited October 4th 2025, and the service I received was great!! Their Halloween setup was cool. But the food was AMAZING!!! I got an omelet added one egg(normally 3 eggs) and it was huge, but best of all it was one of the best I've had at a restaurant. I'm definitely coming back.

Great food. Service was good. Will definitely go back again. Seever was a little overwhelmed by having to tend bar and serve table . Kitchen hot a little back-up do to the fact the place was packed and slammed but they did a great job catching up and serving some good food. Well don for the first week after opening.

The food was solid. I got their Loco Moco, a pretty typical rice burger patty and gravy. Does not come with a side. I ate kinda quick, so I finished a little quicker than expected. Would have been a 5 star, but the server who was serving me at the time, had a great start super quick with order taking and water. But when I came to after I was finished the bust guy collected both my water glass and empty plate, as requested. But then I sat there for almost 20 mins not seeing my waiter again. Granted I think she was the only one there serving at the time I think. So other than that, solid stop for food would go again.

Place is nice and clean. We ate in and everyone like their meal; teriyaki chicken sandwich, cheese, burger, kids chicken strips (with carbord classic car cut out) Teriyaki burger. Not to mention warm brownie dessert.😋 service was friendly. Definitely will come back.

Woody's Diner is now in Yorba Linda, Ca. A great place for breakfast with the friends! We enjoyed all of our food and it's made well, tastes great and the service was fantastic.

Exactly what you'd expect for an old time diner. Good basic food. Yet with the occasional out of the box unexpected special. Great service.

I've been here probably around 7 times. For the first couple times, I mainly got their burgers during lunch. The last 4 times I didn't and some of the things I ordered weren't that good in my opinion. First, the burgers: Their burgers are just above par at best. When you ask for medium, they typically come out closer to medium rare and the they're not that well seasoned. The rest of the burger is good though, bun is soft, vegetables are crisp and fresh. The fries are thick cut and they give a fair amount. The wraps: I believe I ordered the chipotle chicken wrap or something along those lines. Aesthetically, it looked nice and had a tight tuck. The flavor, however, was bland and dry. There was barely any sauce, the tortilla was very cold, and overall there wasn't too much content inside the tortilla. It was struggle to take it all down, but I managed Would not get again. The chicken sandwich: Honestly, it was awful. The chicken breast was very flat and dry. It tastes and looks like they pull out a chicken breast, dump it in buttermilk then panko before pressing it down on like a grill top or something. Breakfast: Ordered french toast with eggs and sausage. You know a classic. When I received my toast, I was given 3 triangle halves. It's not that I was expecting more or less, it's just that it is unusual to receive 3 halves. Normally, you take a full size toast, dip it in an egg batter and then cut them in half. So why would I be missing a half unless they are prepackaged or they simply threw it out. They also didn't taste good at all, so it is possible they were old or premade. I also tried the meat lover breakfast skillet. The diced potatoes in it were pretty good, but the onions and pepper were lightly grilled and still kind of raw. The eggs were burnt on the bottom, which leads me to believe they don't scrape the charr off the grill top between orders. The ham was really chewy and hard to break down. Lastly, the skillet wasn't all that hot when it arrived. Summary: So far, I've only found the burgers and sandwiches to be decent at Woody's diner. Everything else I tried has been disappointing. This is just an unbiased honest opinion. I've never complained to them nor made rude remarks and I tip every time despite not really having enjoyed the food. It's not a large bill and they're trying their best.

We like the food and staff here but don't visit often because they keep the temperature too cold. It's an ice box in here in the mornings. They would do a lot more business if the atmosphere was warm and inviting.

Pleasant predictable little diner with decent food at reasonable prices

We went in for lunch a few days ago and when we came in the restaurant was slow. The food was great only 1 thing went wrong. Egg Benedict were ordered and the came out cooked all the way through. That's fixed. What what issue was the service. She was not attentive at all spent most of the time talking by the hot food line. I had to get up for a straw for my ice after i returned the coffee wich old and burnt. It was the firt time at woodys not sure if I'll be back

It just a few blocks from our house. Been there twice now. Once for lunch and once an attempt for dinner. The lunch burger was just ok. They took another couple (young girls) ahead of us two old guys. The second time we went for dinner and opted to sit on the patio. The tables were about 3 inches too high for the chairs. The waitress took our drink order, then leaned over the other chair at our table and literally yelled at two kids at another table asking what they would like to drink. Like right in mine and my wife's faces! We left and went to Wise Guys; what a difference!

Some of our food was excellent. Then there were the pancakes, they were raw and just didn't taste like pancakes. It had to much of something. Would I go there again? No!

Went for a late lunch around 3:00pm with my wife. She ordered what she said was a very good pastrami sandwich. I ordered the Woody’s steak sandwich claimed to be similar to a Philly Cheesesteak. It tasted OK but every bite had small inedible pieces of gristle. I kept eating the first half of the sandwich thinking the first few pieces of gristle were isolated. Nope, I finished the 1st half sandwich with a little pile of gristle on the side of my plate. Ever the optimist I took one bite of the second half but again was pulling gristle out of my mouth. When asked, “How was your food?” I told the wonderful waitress the truth. “Mine was awful” and explained the problem with the meat. I suggested that they not serve this to other customers or they will lose customers. A short while later the manager (per the waitress) said since I ate half they would reduce the sandwich price by 50%. No “sorry it was so bad or thank you for bringing this to our attention.” Plus it should have been the manager who came over to talk to me. I was not looking for a discount! The restaurant itself is nice. The menu has plenty of causal dining options and per my wife a pretty good pastrami sandwich. Our waitress was the only one working all of the tables. She did a great job. But given the manager’s indifference I’m afraid we won’t be back.

Overal a great place but seems like they lack in certain areas that makes me not want to come back. Certain things like literally serving raw fries and taking 20 minutes to bring me a milkshake to the point where I just cancel it just seem to make it not worth it.

I had the fish tacos what a letdown when I bid into them I like to taste was lettuce, avocado sauce. I opened one up and there’s three little pieces of cut up fish. I showed the waiter then the owner came over and said that’s what we do, we chop up all the fish I’m like, but there’s hardly any fish in the taco. The menu describes fluffy golden Brown piece of cod so I’m thinking I’m getting a fish taco like you normally get with a big piece of fish in it such a letdown I’ll probably not be coming back to this place anymore. It’s mediocre at best some of the foods OK Fish tacos sucked

They were understaffed, couldn't even get a water refill, the Chili Size had a hot patty with warm chili and I'm guessing they were running short on fries . The Pastrami on the Pastrami burger was over cooked dried out and the patty tasted like it had been cooked in old grease! We were not offered a take home box for the half eaten burger. Will not return to this location! Better off going to HB or the Orange locations.

Sunday 2 pm 7-7-24 my elderly parents who quite frequent this location will no longer return . Service issues and food issues and when talking with manager were told you complain all the time. Now not sure in what food service industry this is acceptable to tell senior citizens is acceptable. We have a very large family and have been here in Yorba Linda for forty years. They just lost all of us for good. I hope they figure out that patrons need to be dealt with better than that .

My wife and I sat outside at the patio with our dog. We ordered. And all of sudden we start seeing small mice coming out. First we seen one and then we seen like 5 of them. We had to leave immediately. And more likely won't go back. The staff just seemed non chalant about it.

Woody's has fallen off spectacularly. My most recent visit included a waiter that took 7 trips over 10 minutes to deliver drinks for 6 people. I ordered my drink 3 separate times. I got the cobb salad and it was not good. I only ate half of it.

Visited for dinner for the first time. We sat and waited for 10 minutes before anyone came to our table. When the manager did he walked up said hello and asked ,"do you know what you want?" While his head was down facing his pad of paper. You lost all respect for your lack of care. Acting like we're in your debt for just coming inside. Only one in our party ate. The rest of us waited until we went to another restaurant and ate. Won't be back

I ordered scrambled eggs with a hamburger patty. There's no way I actually got two eggs because what I was given was maybe one. I took one bite of the hamburger patty and spit it up because it just tasted horrible. This was not beef. I have no idea what kind of meat it was but it was gross. With only five other groups in the whole restaurant it took 15 minutes just to get a glass of water. It took 15 more minutes to get the waitress to take my order. Definitely would not recommend this place.
