This place is great... we had lunch... food was delicious, the waitress was fantastic and the whole place looks and feels like your sitting in a small restaurant in Italy... great atmosphere. Would love to come back for dinner. Prices were fair and reasonable and just what you would expect for this type of restaurant... Highly recommend...
Our family of 5 really loved it here. It's so tough to find a place that can please all 3 kids, but Strings pulled that off. We all really enjoyed our meals. The service was great and very friendly. I would definitely stop here again on our travels.
Very nice people working there. Have got take out twice. Everyone is very polite and the food is great I got the pasta sienna which was absolutely amazing and packed full of flavor. My girlfriend got the spaghetti and meatballs which was also very good.
I drove from white city Oregon to Yreka CA to sell a laptop, when I was finished selling the laptop I felt hungry. I searched google for restaurants and this places was first in line, I spent some more time searching to find nothing else that sounded good. I came in and it had about 6 people picking up orders, a lovely couple was by the window enjoying conversation while eating. This wonderful waitress comes out and asks are you reading the menu, I let her know yes she said let me know if you need anything. About 2 minutes later, the 6 people got their meals and headed on their way. I took the menu with me and went to the table I wanted. The waitress promptly brought me a water and asked if I would like anything else to drink. After bringing my drink, asked if I was ready I knew exactly what I wanted. The food was fast, amazing and perfect temp. I give this place 5 stars for cleanliness, staff, food, atmosphere.
This place has really good wait staff and amazing pastas and pizza. It's a little pricey bit worth it. Dining in feels comfy and high end, especially for this little redneck town. It's probably the nicest restaurant in Yreka.
Pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. We ordered two different pasta dishes, one with meatball and the other with white wine sauce and clams. Both pasta dishes are delicious and better than the more expensive pasta dishes we tried other places. Service is very friendly and accommodating too. Definitely will recommend anyone on their way to/from between Oregon and Cal.
Best Italian food in town. Amazing service amazing food and the nicest staff. I take my family to eat here any chance we get. Prices are reasonable and hearty portions. Their house salad and rolls are crazy good! Highly recommend this if you have a craving for good pasta or Italian food in general.
The service here is very good, and the food follows suit. The atmosphere is casual but pretty, and quite calming. On Wensdays they have an all you can eat pasta plate. And the standard foods offered are well made and delicious as well. They have a selection of wine, I'm not familiar with it, and a decent beer selection. The chocolate porter is my favorite by far. I'd highly recommend this location for Italian dining.
Just moved to the area and visited Strings for the first time a couple days ago, and it certainly won't be the last time! The pan-fried ravioli were absolutely delicious and the service was top notch. Highly recommended for a low-key atmosphere with delicious food!
The food at Strings is always outstanding! The Calamari and Shrimp? Superb!
My husband and I had dinner at strings last night to celebrate our 33rd Anniversary of our first date. Our server was Heather. She did an amazing job. She was kind, friendly and very attentive. The food was delicious as always. Strings one of our favorite places. A very special place to celebrate our love for one another. We look forward to our next visit and will request to be seated at Heathers station.
My sister and I just had a great meal. I had spinach and cheese ravioli with tomato basil sauce. House dressing on salad was yummy. Lemon cake with cream for dessert. She had Moreno Secchi chicken pasta with lots of good stuff.
I am pleasantly surprised! I am plant-based and usually have to be creative when dining out. On the regular menu, Strings has a number of options and with easy substitutions many more. I had the eggplant scallopini and a glass of house merlot. I can't vouch for the meat based options but back in my carnivore days I would have tried the lasagna baked in a pastry crust!
Go ahead and choose anything! I've been eating here for the past 3 years and have yet to find a dish I don't like. The food is made to order fresh. Give yourself ample time to dine here because it does take a little while to get your food, being it's not made beforehand and microwaved. All in all, it is a great place to dine and unwind whether it's date night, eating with friends or any occasion in between.
Very nice server and good memory. and great food. Lots of options to eat
This was a great gem to find. The food was excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. You can dine outside or inside. Parking in the back. Restrooms are accessible
Chef's kiss!!!! The Lasgana Pastry was sooooo deliciously unlike anything I've had before!!
My husband and I stopped in while traveling and it was wonderful. The food was fabulous with wonderful flavor. I had the salmon and hubby had the scampi. It's a family owned Cafe and we had the pleasure of meeting two of the owners. Well we think they were the owners lol. So friendly and personal. We will be back. Love finding places like this. You will not be disappointed. Stop in. I just retired so it was a great start to a new chapter. Thanks ladies!! Dave and Shelly Naple Castle Rock WA
Great service. Excellent food. Ample portions. Wonderful salad. All in all, a very nice experience. Celebrated my mother's 105th birthday there.
I had a craving for puttanesca, one of my favorites. It was not on the menu but the chef created the closest thing. It was delicious, creamy and the penne cooked to perfection. The server was fun and accommodating. Highly recommend this little gem. If you visit, please order the Penneghetti a la Alejandra, you’ll love it.
The food was amazing. The bread was great. I ordered the veggie pizza and my girlfriend got the chicken parmesean. The pizza was awesome. All fresh veggies. The white sauce was great. And the crust was delicious. Definitely recommend. My girlfriend's chicken parmesan was very tasty as well. The alfredo sauce was delicious. Their minestrone is house made and was great as well. Perfect for the cold weather. Heather, the waitress, was great as well. Thank you for a great time.
Excellent food, excellent service, we traveled a good distance for this meal, and we couldn't be happier with the decision. The baked lasagna is EPIC!! Come and try it. Thank You very much guys. 😁
Wonderful surprise located in historic old town Yreka. Very friendly Tasha made us feel welcome. The menu holds many choices, from traditional italian dishes to new combinations of pasta with seafood, meats, vegetarian, plus pizzas and calzones. Food: we both chose salad as our side, and it arrived in a large bowl, plenty for both, with fresh baked herb bread. Mains:Italian sausage calzone, filled with tons of cheese, sausage bits, peppers, baked in a light pastry with a good chew. Spaghetti lunch was a savory meat (ground beef) sauce with peppers and tomatoes over tender pasta. We were too full for dessert! Interior is comfy, pleasant, seems brand new. Even a back patio for nice days. Clean bathrooms too. Make this a destination just about 3 minutes off I-5. Good thrift stores in old town plus a cool meat market, and candy, coffee, book and gift stores
I love thier shrimp scampi. It is served as an appetizer or an entree. Staff is very friendly. I love their fresh baked bread with oil and vinegarette.
We are in YREKA visiting family -we have Strings restaurants where we live but it’s NOT like this! This is next level home cooked Italian dinners! Excellent wine list - minestrone soup is delicious. We ordered fried ravioli and chicken parmigiana both were delicious The service was friendly and no delays- the brick building offers a charming old town atmosphere -look up -the wood crown molding is incredible Even got a little history about the building from the owners niece
I really liked this restaurant. The portions were generous, the food was tasty, and the staff was friendly. I stopped in for lunch and had the recommended meatball sandwich which with included soup or salad, a pasta salad, and warm seasoned bread. The sandwich was large enough that I took the second half to go.
Strings is an amazing find for Italian food. We went for lunch and the food was delicious. Portion size was good for the price and presentation was spectacular. It truly felt like a fine dining experience! There is ample dining space and the lady bartender was lovely and welcomed us. Parking is behind the restaurant !
We love this restaurant! Two of our co-workers recommended checking Strings out and we’re glad we did because no matter what we’ve ordered off the menu it’s all been fantastic! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Also best lemon 🍋 drop drinks ! (Awesome service as well 🌟)
The wait staff were great, the food was awesome. It's a bit pricey, but the portions are large and it tastes great.
Such a great lunch today here! Great handmade fresh combo pizza, and the basil tomatoes sauce on my cheese pasta was unbelievable. Bread is better now, softer, and the salad is the same.. .FABULOUS! Thanks for the great service Tasha, who works Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. Will be back sooooooooon to have the Cioppino!
The food was absolutely amazing! I had the meat lovers calzone, it was so fresh and the dough was perfect. The service was fantastic--we will definitely be back :)

At the end of a 10-day road trip we couldn't bear the idea of dinner in a freeway-exit formula restaurant and happened on Strings Italian Cafe when we were exploring the historic center of town. Rather comically attempting to order in our halting Italian got us off to a fun start with the wait-staff. We managed to order superb entrees, and later explained our declining dessert for being "too old and too fat" ...again in halting Italian. The result was that in the ensuing laughter, I left my credit card in the folder along with the tip. The cafe was kind enough to forward it to my home the next day when I discovered it missing. Well worth stopping in for a meal at Strings for great food and a warm welcoming staff! Highest rating!
Me and my husband drive up from San Francisco to Corvallis twice a year and Strings Café is our go to stopping point for lunch or dinner. The minestrone soup rocks and so does every pasta dish we’ve ordered on the menu. The food comes out hot, it’s delicious, and tastes consistently the same each time we go there. We’ve been going to this place for almost a decade and love it!

Impressive from the moment you walk in. Relaxed, elegant, and well-run.
Pretty impressed with the gluten free options at this small town pasta joint. They had zucchini noodles fresh for my boyfriend who was able to enjoy some tasty “pasta”. The wait person was very knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. They also had tasty cheesecake with unique varieties. We tried the Ube flavor and it was fresh and delicious. In a town that doesn’t have many options this was a rare gem of a find for these travelers!

As others said, minestrone and salad were quite good. We had veal parmesan and do mot recommend it. I'd say the veal had been in the freezer for a few months. This was our first time back in several years. One thing hasn't changed: the shortage of garlic and spices in their dishes. We do love their rear patio and were surprised that on a perfect night, mo one else chose to dine out there. Service was good, although no checkup once we received our dinner. We would have liked salt and pepper shakers...ah well.

Great food! Update 12-3-25: My wife had their Mediterranean Salad with Iceberg and Romane Lettuce, Mediterranean Orange Slices and Strawberry Slices as well as super dry Chicken! The absolutely worst meal she has ever had there! Even Chick-fil-A does a better job with it!
I enjoyed the food. But I felt the service and the manager lacked the ability to help us have a good time. While we were eating our food. They seem preoccupied with things that didn't matter and not attentive to the needs that we had as a customer having dinner in their restaurant. I'm disappointed with the manager

Called two weeks before Valantines days and made a reservation. We got there and they said they didn't have us on the list. So disappointing, I was really looking forward to having a nice diner date for Valentines.
I’m pretty dissatisfied. I’ve eaten here in the past and thought I’d was ok. I’m Italian and this by far shouldn’t be considered Italian food. I ordered fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and veggies. It’s tasteless with a really watery sauce. I ordered my kids mac n cheese with fries and the other got chicken strips with fries. The fries are frozen fries with no taste and not even cooked on all sides and the macaroni is exactly like Kraft. This is so disappointing considering Yreka has almost nowhere to eat.

I have been there twice. The first time, my wife and I were both sick. Decided to give it another try. 2nd time, we ordered pizza. It was personal pan size for $20+ and could tell it must have been made at the truck stop. Completely disappointed and will never go back. Would never recommend it to anyone else.
So, I am always fair. I can't say I sampled the food. Here is the thing, the hours on the door and online say they are opened until 9:30 pm. After a long day on the road my party wanted a good meal. We walked in to the open the door at 8:30 pm. A full hour before closing. We were greeted by a customer who was at the bar. A waitress steps out of the back and the customer says, "another customer." The waitress turns to us amd says snidely, "We are actually closed. Don't you see the open sign isn't lit up!?" She was really snotty. We said, "Sorry we are traveling through and hoped to eat here and the door sign says you are supposed to be open." She said, "We aren't!" So we left amd I decided it needed to be put out there. Food can be great, but lazy rude staff makes any experience not worth it. Even though the reviews for the food seem great, I would never darken those doors again. No one deserves to be treated that way.
It is a cozy and warm atmosphere, with a number of locals enjoying dinber. With thatvsaid, I would not recommend the Calzones. Instead of being a light omfolded oizza dough folded on itself, it wasxa small bread loaf loaded with a ton of cheese.
