Wow! We had a server named Justin. He was happy, joyful and most of all funny. Made sure we were good throughout our time here. Atmosphere was amazing. He got our order correct that always matters. Thanks Justin. I love tea, he made sure our tea was full at all times.

Always consistently delicious food! Chips and hot sauce were right on point tonight (as well as the sweet tea) some of the best I’ve had in a long time. I prefer this location to many of the other El Fenix stores. I will return.

El Fenix quality is found at any location I have been to and never fails. The staff is well trained and pleasant. I had the Maximilian Delight & ate IT ALL! FYI, I am 5'3" jajajeh. I love, love their fresh tea. It does NOT have a twang of being almost expired or fake. Points off for the location. I never bring a private appointment or date to this location because too many windows make the location cold/drafty, and the interior echos to the moon and back. Conversation is noise, non-sense, and distraction. I live nearby and will return. Sister is vegetarian and said there are enough options to make her happy to dine here.

I stopped by yesterday @7-ish. Placed order online and I don't recommend you placing it online if you don't know much like me lol. We been getting sour cream enchiladas for years but my sisnLaw/Sis been placing all orders all the time. She passed few years ago. 🥺 So it was my first time yesterday and I didn't get sour cream for me cause I get sad so instead I got the brisket w/red sauce and the whole fam the sour cream enchiladas. Well, I got confused I thought on the question to choose your sauce I thought it was for the side order on sauce for your chips 😂 & it's not!! That's for your type of sauce on top of your enchiladas. Guess what I came home with Chile con queso on all my enchiladas instead of sour cream 😆. Don't make the same mistake as me!! I went back and they're so understanding and they fixed it without getting frustrated 🥴. Luckily it wasn't packed yesterday. Mainly on the weekends it gets crazy busy but they're still quick. Thank you for the young lady that went to the back and fixed my order!!🥹 They even added a sample of one cheese enchilada and it was good!!! Can't wait to try the cheese enchilada again! I have been wanting to try this chain restaurant out for some time. I was seated immediately and brought my drink, chips and salsa. The salsa was very tasty but could have been a bit more hot. The staff was very nice and my order was brought out quickly. I had ordered fish tacos with rice and beans. They threw in some avocado slices, which was a nice surprise. All of the food was delicious. I would have finished my plate but I was stuffed. The atmosphere was very relaxing. I will definitely be back and I recommend this place to anyone.

This was our first time eating here and overall I'd rate the experience a 9 out of 10 stars. I loved the server. It was a gentleman. He was very nice. Very tentative. He never let our drinks stay empty and kept our chip bowls full of chips and brought plenty of salsa. The salsa was delicious and the chips were fresh and warm. Very good. We all got different food. I got the brisket. The Anaheim brisket enchiladas I felt like the brisket lacked a little flavor, but that Anaheim chili sauce was delicious and made up for it. The rice was good. I didn't care much for the black beans. I should have asked for refried instead. My son got chicken tacos. He liked those. My son's friend got beef Street tacos. He liked those. My dad got a beef fajita enchilada and that tasted amazing. We got my Lil momma a kids meal chicken strips and pineapple juice. I got sweet tea to drink, the sweet tea was delicious I just know. Like I'd go back just for the sweet tea. We didn't get any dessert cuz we were very full from All the chips and queso and salsa and our Dinner plates. I felt like it was a good price for all the food we got. Our bill was $100. The food tasted fresh and it was absolutely delicious and the service was phenomenal as well. I wish you would have got the name of our server so I could recognize him and how good he was

Gabriella is an outstanding waitress. Attentive. Stays on top of everything we needed before we needed it. Food came out quick. Good portions. The hostess, who I believe was new, was not so friendly. Rather rude actually. Don't know her name but she had pink highlights and big lashes. I think maybe she was irritated because we wanted to sit in a section that was closed but that's not my problem and the place was not busy at all. 3:15pm on a weekday. No reason for her to treat us in the manner that she did. Slammed down the menus and walked away without saying a word. But Gabriella made up for the bad beginning and we enjoyed our meal.

I loved the downtown Dallas El Fenix and wanted to experience the same since this is closer. The food and especially the cocktails at the downtown El Fenix I remember to be a better (not to say that this one at Las Colinas was bad or anything). The service can use a little more attention and improvement e.g. we were sat at a table that didn't have forks, spoons and napkins and it took us a while to catch the servers attention to get us some. The service was moderately quick. The server was helpful and got us a box when we couldn't finish the stuff we ordered.

El Fenix Irving is keeping up the fine tradition of the Martinez Family's Original Tex-Mex restaurant of Dallas. El Fenix has been a tradition for family celebrations for three generations. This El Fenix, near Irving Mall and DFW Airport, did not disappoint. The food was delicious. I had the 'Tampico Dinner ' with a chicken and a cheese enchilada. Service was excellent and the restaurant had the Classic El Fenix Vibe. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

It had been several years since we tried El Fenix, so we decided to give it a try the last time we were in Dallas. Just barely three stars. Overall, the food was bland. Very little spice or any other seasoning. The chips were good, but the salsa like everything else was pretty average. It was quite a long wait to get our food and then most of it was warm, but not hot. We never did receive our queso appetizer. Our particular waitress was not friendly and not attentive. She did not check on us between drinks and serving the food so we couldn't even remind her about the queso. It took a very long time to get our check. There are too many other options to get good food and service. We probably won't be back.

We did not have to wait for a table as the place was not very busy. Our table had a wobble in it but it wasn’t a deal breaker. The best chips ever at this place, the salsa is good but not over the top. They only have yellow queso so I didn’t order any because I don’t like it. My salad came out and it was beautiful and big but the deal break was the ranch was bland and watery. The beef was definitely not real steak but the chicken was good. We asked our waitress for extra salsa and we didn’t get it after we asked so we asked another waiter. Then when our meal came out we got what we asked her for. They need to communicate better. Doordash refund me all my money. Their steak isn't real steak. It's like glue fake steak glued together or pork. I've never ate steak like that. Way to much rice in burritos almost no meat or chicken. Tortillas are not toasted or deepfried, if you get cheese or sauce it'll come soggy. Over all 0/10 stars.

I never seen rotted brown tamales before. I tried to put sauce on it to see if it would help but I was so disgusted with the food. I’m not sure why they call it their famous tortilla soup, maybe because they’re famous of ripping you off. Their chips and salsa is pretty sad. I never seen a little sauce cup to dip your chips in. The owner must be so cheap.
