The barbecue chicken sandwich is great. Comes with cilantro, carrots, cucumber, pickled radish and chicken. All served on a soft , yet crunchy french roll. This place is not to be missed. Around 11 dollars for a good size sandwich. A deal, and a delicious lunch meal. A few stools to sit on in the windows, or take it to go.
Straight forward service. Store was clean and tidy. Coffee was good. Enjoyed the bagel with sausage and egg over the croissant.
Great breakfast and Vietnamese sandwich shop a block from our hotel. We really enjoyed our pork, chicken and vegetarian sandwiches. Filling and tasty! We got breakfast another day (bacon egg and cheese, and ham egg cheese croissants) which were great. They also have a little case of donuts, plus hot & iced coffee. Perfect spot for a quick and relatively affordable breakfast or lunch! I don’t know if the business hours listed are correct; I stopped by at 7:30am on a Tuesday and they were open.
Tofu sandwich about $13 with 15% tip. Very tasty. Has a lot of flavor.
April 2024 I had a Vietnamese pork baguette and it was really tasty and fresh! A good hidden gem.
My favourite Vietnamese sandwich place. Grilled pork is moist and tasty. Service is friendly and quick. Highly recommended.
No frills Viet eatery with great breakfast sandwiches and Banh mi

Great place for a quick bite! The #4 banh mi is yummy but I personally love the #7 pate with meats. I appreciate how they give a generous portion of jalapenos and the filling to bread ratio is great! There's limited indoor seating but I typically grab the sandwich and eat in surrounding outdoor public areas.
Hands down one of the best options in the area. The sandwiches are a reasonable price, and they're pretty yummy. I had the BBQ chicken and my wife had the teriyaki; we will be returning while we visit this week.
Best sandwiches I've ever had!! And the ice coffee hit the spot!
Is it really 2.50 for a donut these days? Dang. It was good but inflation is crazy. I'll come back if I'm ever craving a donut again.
Nice people; got the grilled pork banh mi and iced coffee and both were really good! banh mi was crispy and tasty
Was hungry and needed a quick bite. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the products and suggested bear claw. Delicious, must have before visiting Grant avenue

Croissant with eggs, cheese and ham is my favorite. Their donuts always taste fresh. Coffe is decent too. They have a lot of different sandwiche options. Owners are friendly.
Really tasty bahn mi, and the older man working there was very friendly and took everyone’s orders efficiently even though they were a little busy at lunchtime. The Vietnamese iced coffee and Thai tea were yummy too but I’ve had better.
Nothing to complain about, banh mi was tasty and cheap, service was quick and efficient. Great little spot for lunch.
Solid tofu bahn mi (no mayo, vegan) at nice corner shop
Latte Express a local family-owned small business located on Kearny Street [between Clay and Commercial near Chinatown and Commercial District] is a popular lunch spot for top-notch Bánh mì, a/k/a “Baguette Vietnamien.” (means "wand, rod, or baton" in French which could also refer to “chopsticks” or “drumsticks.”) The Vietnamese sandwich albeit arguably originated from French baguette during the colonialization era in the 19th and 20th centuries has its own distinctive characterizations, i.e., incorporating the mixture of rice flour, a variety of their own ingredients, such as pickled vegetables (turnip and carrots), fresh cucumber, jalapeno and cilantro, as well as various meats (pork, chicken, or beef). Unlike many other Bánh mì sandwich shops in the City, Latte has my thumbs up 👍:1) freshly baked bread (baguet), crunch but not mushy {❌watch out for outdated bread that likely thrown out by bakeries or sold at discounted prices served at other places❌}; 2) fresh clean ingredients (see pictures) including pickled vegetables, fresh jalapenos and cilantros, as well as quality real MEAT (beef, pork, chicken not just pâté which is quite disgusting); and 3) inexpensive around $12-14 (my choice is #7 combo for $12.) Bon appétit! Cảm ơn!

TLDR: average food with above average price I had the combo of pork banh mi with a viet iced coffee. The iced coffee was too sweet and the sandwich wasn’t very memorable. It wasn’t bad by any means but it didn’t stand out in any way. For the price around $15, I would rather get a poke bowl for the money I spent

The food was good. There was an old man and young lady behind the counter. The old man took our order and was very sweet and polite, but the lady was very rude when I pointed out a mix-up in my order. (I wanted regular coffee and they misunderstood it as espresso) The food was good nonetheless but service could be better.

Ordered Tofu Banh Mi. None of it tastes like Tofu to me and it has a fishy flavor. Worse Tofu Bahn Mi I've ever eaten. Sounds like the Tofu is microwaved. The older man seemed friendly, but the older woman who took my order was not very friendly. I told her I wanted #6 and the screen facing me showed #5 on the display so it was confusing and I told her the screen is showing #5 re-confirming my order for #6, but she seemed to be annoyed that I brought it up and was being short with me. Not sure why the high ratings. The Tofu Bahn Mi is a serious let down. Not going back.
