Great place to enjoy creating your own pizza with nice friendly crew and fast service.

I just love MOD pizza, today Andrew took my order and Yarectzi didn't forget to add my pesto sauce, I really appreciate when people take care of my orders, thanks! Such a great service!

My kids said "It was great". You can customize your pizza or order from their set menu. They also have salads and other specialty items. Their specialty is fast service. Not too bad regarding the wait. Overall, the pizzas tasted good and the employees are nice. I like their thin crust pizzas.

Got a Mod size pizza for dinner, Jaime helped me with my order, he was very patient and kind. I really believe good kind workers make food taste better 😊✨ The pizza was ready in a few minutes and it was yummy and affordable! PS. Don’t forget to tip!!! 💰

One of the best pizza joints in town! Seriously, you have to try this. The price is reasonable, the quality is high, and the atmosphere is great. They are very generous with toppings. I hope they stay the same so I keep going there everytime I stop by south shore mall. Thank you guys ;)

The pizza at this place is just absolutely delicious, their ranch sauce is to die for, their regular lemonade is so refreshing, their prices are VERY cheap, and the employees there are VERY, VERY polite, respectful, kind, courteous, considerate, and professional too! Pizza seemed a little under cooked, but normally no issues. Service was great.

This is our favorite pizza place, we love the brick oven cooked thin crust pizza. It’s so like in Italy! One of the young lady crew kept laughing and flirting with the male coworker while taking my order, so she kept asking me “say that again” about my order. It was annoying. She has a nose piercing to pinpoint who she is. She kept on with her flirting and onto the next customer, i was watching her while i was seated and eating my delicious pizza! The lady customer was getting annoyed too. Anyway, i love their pizza so i’m still coming back but i hope she is not there to serve me. 😁

For the price and amount of toppings its decent and gets the job done. Also it tends to be done pretty fast. I like a weird combination of toppings so I'm always happy that they have what i want.

No crowd. Quick service. Tasty food. No complaints for a quick, cheap lunch in the East Bay.

If you love chipotle but crave for pizza, then MOD Pizza is what you would want! Unlimited toppings make it better than chipotle ( no need to pull your camera out.) Simple ask them to add more toppings, and YES pineapple does go on pizza!

Fast, affordable and good taste

My wife and I were looking for someplace new to eat in Alameda. We walked in and were pleasantly surprised by the variety of pizza and salad. It was an adventure getting just what we wanted. In a fun way.

Great little place! Not very busy for being at a mall, and great service. The pizza is good, but I wouldn't expect it to blow you away. Personal size pizzas fire roasted, choose your toppings and get it made. They standard cut into 4 pieces, which is pretty big depending on if your pizza can hold it's toppings together. Not a big drink selection, but some standard stuff, and 2 beers on tap that make it worth $2 Tuesday.

I’m a regular here it’s best to order in person , everyone I’ve ordered online it comes out incorrectly. Ex - not extra cheese (after requesting it) , some slices barely had any , and when I asked for balsamic on the side , it was on the pizza drowning it making it soggy !!!

I don't usually write bad reviews.And i'm really not picky although this might sound like it. I just want my ingredients to be distributed somewhat evenly. The person who put the pizza together for me just threw the ingredients here and there and didn't really spread them around. So I had a pile of black olives in one place and a pile of roasted red peppers in another place. I asked for pesto on top and the person forgot even though it was written on top.. They did it but the pesto was sort of globbed around and wasn't evenly distributed either. I'm not OCD, I just don't want everything in a pile somewhere. The pizza was cut really unevenly. There were some little skinny pieces and some really fat pieces. The workers seemed pretty bored except for the one that rung me up, he had a smile and was very pleasant.

The food is good but the service really sucks. I order online and while I expect it to take a little bit longer than what it says online, I don't expect it to be 30 more minutes. It's gotten to the point where I call them 20 minutes after ordering to find out how much longer it will be. Then I give them an extra 10 minutes just to be sure. And last time it still wasn't ready. Maybe they're understaffed or something?

Quality has gone down though it still tastes good. Just not enough value for the money. Service was slower and not as friendly as expected from previous visits.

This restaurant generally provides a decent dining experience. But as usual, two out of three of the fresh beverage machines were empty. The wait was longer than necessary because they had employees working the door dash orders blocking the employees who were working the walk-in orders. This restaurant is never exceptionally clean. As long as you're not especially persnickety about cleanliness, you'll be fine. The food tasted good.

The pizza dough is more like a cracker than a pizza dough, so it's thinner than a real Italian pizza. The topping choices are many and fresh. The advantage with the toppings is you can get what you want and as much as you want for the same price. While you will get your pizza quickly once you've gone through the line, getting to the front of the line can take a long time. The staff is pretty indifferent and not particularly friendly. The tables on this visit were dirty. With an occasional smile and cleaner tables I'd give a better rating.

As I read the reviews here it becomes apparent that one must pay close attention when they’re making the pizza even if ordering one of their signature pies. That being said, my pizza assembler was nice and friendly; not the chincy type at all, so what gives MOD!? The takeout pizza was served by a very friendly staff member who offered extra sauce which was nice. I had to wait a few more minutes for the takeout salad as it’s not assembled until the Pizza is ready; clearly a MOD requirement. No offer of extra dressing on the salad. Unfortunately there was no dressing on my Greek salad at all! Time in the restaurant for a takeout was no less than 35 minutes! No exaggeration; probably a few more minutes, really! And this lengthy wait with just one couple eating in the place plus another couple arriving behind me. No delivery orders either. Only discovered the dry salad after getting home & putting the pizza in the oven after adding cheese + several other ingredients. All this served to remind me why I’d not been back there in many years. Solid 2 only because the staff was friendly and obviously very inexperienced as the staffer that took my order didn’t understand the menu; yet…Listening to him try to explain the menu & ordering process to the couple behind me was hilarious (did my best not to giggle).

Option to Build your own pizza. They have vegan cheese which is great but the ingredients flavor needs to improve, it was just salty...Not flavorful, I've been to other pizza places build your own ingredients are flavorful and tasty. The server also slacked on the cheese, it was just sprinkles of cheese pieces...it was basically base with ingredients and little bit of cheese.....it is a quick meal and medium price range. Need to clean the oven, the pizza base had other pizza cheese pieces, ingredients stuck on and burnt pieces. Service can definitely improve. If flavor and service improved , I would recommend and go again.

The last 2-3 times I’ve been here, there’s been several issues including: -food line being VERY messy and unstocked -trash overflowing -soda syrup and/or CO2 being out This past time, we got the wrong order I totally understand places get busy but it’s been consistently like this as of late.

I went in and it was not even that busy but they still took so long to even acknowledge me? When i finally did order my food they seemed annoyed at how many adjustments and toppings i wanted. Also, I paid for ranch and then they did not give it to me. When i asked they said i needed to pay again because there was no proof i didn’t eat the other ranch?? I asked my food for dine in and they gave it in a box and didn’t want to give me a plate when i asked for one. Overall the staff was very rude, the food was not cooked all the way ( raw bits in the dough) and i did not enjoy my experience at all. Do NOT come here!!!

There appeared to be only one staff member on duty who was a young man that was rather rude and inconsiderate to my wife and I. He very obviously treated other clientele of the same skin color better than he treated us, almost as if he was making a point to make it clear to us how immature he was. He took 45 minutes to make our pizza while fulfilling orders for people who ordered after us. The pizza was very poorly made and we ended up contesting the charge on our credit card.

Super friendly staff however the pizza mad me violently ill 🤢🤮. The girl at the counter tried her best but the way this restaurants is set up a little cross contamination is unavoidable. Don't eat here is you have food allergys.

Unbelievably dirty. There were pizza boxes overflowing from the trash onto the floor at the entrance. The open kitchen had food strewn everywhere. The tables were filthy. We ordered dine in, but were served in pizza boxes and plastic salad containers. Beer tap- oh that’s broken. It was not at all busy, the person behind the counter was just standing there when we arrived. No reason for that state of straight up disgustingness. Why did I stay? Bc it was a fundraiser for school. Otherwise, I would not have made it past the 1st garbage pile at the door.

Bad first time experience. So Sunday funday just got off work decided to check this place out. Cant be bad similar to Blaze pizza right❓Upon arrival the eight employees working looked to be distracted with conversations with each other. The bathrooms were unsatisfactory and smelly. No leadership or supervision with the staff. Employees coughing into his sleeve continuing to make pizza... Certified food handler? Or negligent i won't ever return I hope people don't get as sick as I did

She proceeded to just agree with me and gave me the pizza. I should have verified as this ABOMINATION of corn, pineapple, mushrooms, etc is DEFINITELY not mine. Stupid mistakes and not a shred of customer service makes me not want to raise minimum wage... 🙄

I had to ask her repeatedly to give more toppings. Her demeanor wasn’t very friendly either, as though she didn’t really want to be there. As she was so scant with the toppings, I was able to finish one pizza in one sitting!! Shame on MOD Pizza!!! You’ve just lost a customer. Hope you won’t do the same to others.

I still like this location and appreciate the positive experiences I’ve had with Paris and the lunch crew, but the evening shift really needs to step up on cleanliness, food safety, and customer service.
