We ordered Kung Pao Prawn & Slow-simmered Fish with soft Tofu both were amazing, and the flavor & texture were fantastic. It will be our go to place for Chinese Sichuan cuisine.

They accommodated our large group and the service was very fast and efficient. Food was great! Tea smoked duck and dry spicy chicken were menu highlights.

Good Chinese restaurant in Forest Hills. Everything was served very fast. Price was reasonable; lunch special pricing is a great deal. Food was good

A great place for some noodles! This is probably the best tomato noodle soup I've had. The broth was robust and flavorful. The flavor also seeps into the noodles. The dan dan noodles are delicious too. The scallion pancakes stuffed with duck is a must try! I'll be returning to try more food. Would recommend!

Amazing Sichuan Chinese food. Service is fast and friendly, and every dish was delicious. Ordered the spicy cucumber salad, crispy spicy beef, mapo tofu, long beans with eggplant, and house special pork belly. Can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious menu. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is phenomenal and the service is amazing! Our server, Matt, is the best! He’s very attentive, friendly, warm & works quickly. He went above and beyond to give us the best waiting experience, it was like being hosted by an old friend. I would definitely recommend him as server 100%. As for the food, it was rich, flavorful, crispy & perfectly balanced. The appetizer was fried calamari that had a very crunchy and light texture and didn’t have that gummy over battered texture at all. It tasted fresh and was very good with their pink spicy sauce. The crispy spicy shredded beef has a very good flavor with the right amount of heat and crunch. It is enhanced by the bits of ginger and peppers that are so light and crunchy. The pork fried rice is the best I’ve ever tasted and isn’t sticky like other places I’ve visited. The egg & scallion Lo-Mein was lightly salted with fluffy bits of egg and shredded green onion, it was paired beautifully with the crispy spicy orange chicken that wasn’t soggy at all and had the best crunch while also being saucy. The scallion pancake has an amazing texture that’s light & crisp as well and is given for free with a $30 purchase. The garlic sauce with green onion chicken is really flavorful and was paired with the white rice really well due to its full bodied garlic sauce and the plain rice. I couldn’t be happier about my experience here. The location was nice and the only thing I can complain about was parking but that’s not really the restaurants fault. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an affordable delicious Chinese meal.

Dan Dan Noodles is delicious (can be made vegetarian). The cold bean jelly with chili sauce is soooo good. $30 or more order gets you a free scallion pancake which is crispy and filled with fragrant scallion flavor. The dry chili tofu dish is delicious and flavorful. It's spicy but not too spicy. Slow cooked fish with tofu is extra spicy but in a good way. Soft fish fillet and tofu swimming in delicious tongue numbing spicy sauce. Yum.

Fantastic Chinese food! Kicked it off with the cucumber salad and some crystal shrimp dumplings, both phenomenal. From there we got into some black bean shrimp and Kung Pao style fish, both delicious. Great spot after a show at Forest Hills Stadium. Even worth the trip from the city.

I'm always on the hunt for good szechuan places near me and this place is definitely in my top 3. I tried the Dry pepper style chicken which goes by Chongqing chicken in other szechuan restaurants and it was absolutely amazing. It wasn't too spicy even though its full of dried red chillis. The Crispy Spicy Shredded beef was really good too. The Yang chow fried rice was ok but I felt like it was overpriced ($10.95) for what you get. Honestly, a simple fried rice like that shouldn't really cost more than $6 or $7. Next time, the plain white rice will suffice. The place was totally packed on a Saturday night and I'm glad i picked up instead of waiting around for a table. Plus, its pretty hard finding parking near Austin Street so takeout was much easier.

Very well executed regional chinese food. The schezwan cucumber salad is among the best we've tasted with lots of complex flavors and crispy roasted chilis, and more. here's the write up we posted on our facebook page the three Our favorite of this meal was the pickled sour string beans with crispy minced pork and bean curd glass noodles. Unreal and exciting combination of tastes, textures and spices We ordered everything at a level 3 spice...perfect for hot enough yet not mouth numbing . Pig trotters should not be missed...they put pork ribs to shame... Tofu sheets with pork belly and sauteed Chinese cucumber was our least favorite yet still quite nice. Have been wanting to try Spy C Cuisine-since reading many posts from a local @Forest Hills NYC fb group. @The Three NYC Everything Bagels Buzz Across America These "three everything bagels", hubby, son and I, love authentic ethnic cuisines and are not afraid of a fairly good level of spice. Don't get me wrong, we also like a good rendition of general chow chicken with pork fried rice every once in a while but that's chinese-american not Chinese cuisine in my mind. Also as many of you know we are chefs and have been in or grown up in the food business for many years, so our palates are kind of picky. Anyway, our son B, whose first food ever was chocolate mousse and who has been enjoying dishes like clams in black sauce and south Asian oyster omelets since early childhood, is visiting from Northern California and we finally ventured over to Spy C Cuisine on Austin Street in Forest Hills, for lunch yesterday...lunch specials seemed pedestrian, so we ordered from the regular menu and just followed our gut ...it helped to look at the photos on the wall too, reminiscent of the anglicized lists in authentic flushing and downtown chinatown hole in the walls but a bit more refined and stylized . The decor and presentation is upscale and almost Japanese...the restaurant was fairly quiet at 1:30 on a Wednesday weekday although we saw a good number of deliveries going out the door...in general Austin St doesn't strike me as a hot spot for luncheon dining. We ordered everything at a level 3 spice which was spicy enough but not head blowing hot. We might advance to level 4 spice next time. The Szechwan cucumber salad as noted by many recommendations is divine with lots of complex flavors and textures. The crispy slices of dried smoky chilis are not super spicy and add a lovely dimension...we had to stop them from taking the sauce that was left in the bottom of the bowl away, so we could enjoy every last swipe. Pig Feet Trotters OMG expensive but great rendition of crunchy, glazed, spicy and fatty with succulent bits of meat. We sucked every bone dry! Sour string beans with minced pork and glass like bean curd noodles ...the tiny thin pickled string beans and perfectly cooked tasty minced pork with the great texture of the bean curd glass noodles was one of our favorites. It actually was slightly enhanced with the left over sauce from the cucumber. The tastes and textures were spot on as was the deft hand at seasoning and spicing. I am already craving this dish again. Our least favorite but still good and probably the most mild (with one chili pepper indicated on menu) was sautéed layered tofu with pork belly and Chinese celery... the tofu was thick squares and the texture was fabulous...there wasn't much pork belly and the dish was quite mild in comparison but if we had started with this dish, perhaps the more delicate flavors wouldn't have been masked by the other dishes more vibrant ones? Lunch was expensive ...around $25 a person with tax and tip, but worth every finger and chopstick licking bite! Perhaps we could have feed one more person and each eaten a bit less, but we finished it all and were stuffed but happy. Still enjoyable and we devoured all of it and had to take a walk home the long way to walk off our full and happy bellies. Stay tuned for some amazing #foodsafari adventures from @The Three NYC Everything Bagels Buzz Across America on Facebook.

WARNING: They have recently stopped including complimentary white rice with any order. Prices are already insane. Yes, even that $80 hot pot does not include complimentary white rice. This use to be my go to because their food was GOOD. After last night , my boyfriend and I got mild food poisoning, the kung pao chicken was a fishy brown sauce with no sweet or tangy ( maybe there was just a mistake in the order) and with a $55 order no white rice side, at some point the prices just do not justify the food anymore and this is where I’ve reached my thresh hold. I’m nit sure if the restaurant changed hands or the chef is different. Perhaps I’ll come back another time in the future but I’ll take a break for now.

Food is good but they started charging for white rice for the dry hot pot. Why??? The first time I ordered dry hotpot for two, they gave two free white rice. Second time, they only gave one. Third time, they didn’t give any white rice even tho the other was for 2 people. For $80 dry hotpot pot, I would hope they at least gave the white rice complimentary like they used to. This was in a span of two months.

Tried a variety of dishes here. Dry pepper chicken was good, but the chicken weren’t meaty. My favorite dish wash the mashed eggplant and pepper. Tried it 5 year ago and it’s still good! Just be careful if it’s you’re first time eating here, things can get a bit spy-c….

Spy C has a variety of spicy and non spicy dishes but the braised pork belly and walnut shrimp in mayo sauce are my favorites. Pork belly was tender and melts in your mouth. Shrimp was cooked perfectly with a sweeten mayo glaze. Soup dumpling is not the best - lacks flavor. Workers are friendly and food comes out pretty quickly. Price is a bit high for the portion.

Really solid Chinese food. Got the crispy beef, mapo tofu, and general tsao chicken. All of them were really flavorful. The tofu was delicate, with a flavorful spice. The chicken was crispy but still meaty.

5 stars for General Tsos Chicken. All white meat and nice chunks. 4.5 stars for Royal Tofu. 3 stars for only average chicken fried rice. Overall above average, but step up your game with the chicken fried rice.

Nice place, we heard it was famous for the cucumber salad, which we got 2 orders of, and was indeed very good. Also got the Louisiana style boil with mala flavor . None of us were experienced boil-ers, but we enjoyed ourselves anyway. The stew was pretty flavorful, would have loved to have some bread/noodles to just dip into it, but they were out of the noodles option.

Hot and spicy delicious food. The lamb with cabbage in sichuan sauce and soup dumplings was delicious. Orders over thirty dollars comes with complimentary scallion pancake Our server was very nice and friendly.

Completely disgusting. Decided to give this place a second try after the first trial was just a complete flop. I really wanted it to be good since I'm so nearby and it's convenient and I do like Chinese food but they are either using such poor quality meat or just not good at all. When I told the lady about it she told me there's nothing that she can do and because I ordered it I have to pay for it. Completely nasty...with the service. Definitely won't be back.

3 adults and 2 kids Weekday Lunch 8/14 There was a promotion spend over $48 get soup dumpling. For 3 adults, it was easy to spend $48 especially since they charge $14.95 for a simple dish of Shanghai Bok Choy (if we wanted white rice it will be another $1 on top.) - the scallion pancakes was too oily. The pan fried crispy noodles was drenched in sauce and was not crispy. The waitresses looked like they didn’t want to be there and had scowls on their face. When the bill came we pointed out that we had qualified for the promotion, and that we spent $88. However instead of removing the soup dumplings that we consumed off the bill, the waitress insisted that they make us another order and they will not charge us for it. We brought this to the attention of the other waitress / manager and she was understanding and was about to do the right thing when the original waitress came by and told her to back off. To add to the insult we waited an additional 15 minutes for the soup dumplings after the bill came and we were ready to go. We had a three year old with us so those 15 minutes seemed like an hour. Anyway, the food was mediocre at best, the staff was unfriendly, and the customer service was terrible. I would go to any other restaurant in the neighborhood before coming to this one again.

I have long loved crispy shredded beef since I first tried it at this place in Chinatown called Shanghai 21, well, today I ordered the elusive dish in which I thought I’d be in for a treat —WRONG!! It was dry as hell, and too salty and didn’t have any flavor other than spicy and salty (excessively salty). It had absolutely no sauce as I know it, no flavor, no texture. I ended up throwing it out completely! After a few tries. I should of stuck to general tso’s chicken instead and save my troubles trying something I thought would be a great find here in Forest Hills. $23 wasted and won’t ever come back as I would assume their other dishes follow this trend (or I may be wrong but thats just my opinion).
