Turk’s Inn was an absolutely magical experience. The drinks were phenomenal, especially their White Russian for dessert with homemade tahini. Don’t skip on the fries, they look totally normal but are cooked and spiced to perfection. Relish plate is necessary and we ordered extra pickles on the side. This will be a repeat stop every time we’re in NYC!
We hosted our wedding party at Turks Inn and let me tell you, it was the best wedding ever. Every single guest told me it was their most fun wedding as a guest. Alex is an amazing planner and she is so easy to work with. The food was amazing, as it always is at Turks, and the vibe is just so incredible. We come for dinners and shows all the time and this just took that experience and turned it up a notch. Love this place so much 💕
We got there at 5pm when they opened. The restaurant was a little chilly and dark but comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The food was so delicious. We would definitely return. We had the relish dips (focaccia and beer pretzel) assortment, lamb rib, beer salad, muscles, side rice, pot of bergamot tea. We highly recommend The Turk's Inn.
The Turk’s Inn is EASILY one of my favorite spots in NYC, if not, the world! The ambience is unbeatable, with red lighting, interesting decor, and very cool architecture. The staff is kind, fast, and always happy to give recommendations. My favorite cocktail is the Cherry Cosmo, I get it every time. I also recommend getting the Turk’s Relish Tray if you love bread and dips. I also recommend the Mussels with fries and the Cobb salad. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order at the restaurant. I would 10/10 recommend Turk’s!!
We loved it! Excellent NA cocktails, Appetizers: Amazing watermelon salad and the meatballs were best I’ve ever had. Mains: Steak frites (juicy) eggplant schnitzel (Smokey) and fish fry (crispy yummy) Dessert was white chocolate pudding. Sooo yummy crunchy crispy toppings hint of salt. Perfect night! Servers were so sweet and vibe was perfect.
We had the BEST time at the Turk's Inn this weekend! We booked two large tables for a Saturday night bachelorette dinner, wanting to be walking distance to House of Yes afterwards. Turk's Alex organized everything with us, seating 15 people at the two most perfect tables with such a great view of the restaurant's atmosphere, and printing a custom menu which was so sweet and really set the tone! Service was 10/10 with interesting and delicious cocktails, the family style meals were incredible (fish, steak & frites, tabbouleh...). The energy, decor, everything was exactly what we were hoping it would be. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a fun and unique spot in Bushwick, and can't wait to come back!
Came here for my birthday dinner on a Friday night and it was amazing. My friends and I could not get over the food. Between the cheese cloud , lamb meatballs, the cherry cosmo and the mussels it was absolutely amazing. I was eyeing this place for a while and was very happy that I was not disappointed. I will definitely come again.
We felt like we were transported to a Northwoods Wisconsin supper club. We knew the original Turk’s Inn owners. Thank you for carrying on their legacy. Loved the cheese cloud. Eclectic wine list that was a perfect complement to the cuisine. Char grilled steak and old fashioned fries were great. What we most enjoyed was the unique atmosphere and friendly staff.
For a cute date spot with lots of character and good Turkish/american fusion food, this is the spot. The vibes here are immaculate and just throw you back in time to another generation with its decor and music choice. The food was good for the price point. The highlights would definitely be the appetizer tray, which went well with the provide bread, and the fries with ottaman seasoning had a kick that kept me going for more. The lamb and rainbow trout were also great. The baklava was not too sweet and hit the spot at the end! Friendly stuff, clean bathrooms, and overall great experience!
Incredible venue and experience for our wedding in September! The space is so unique and food delicious. People haven't stopped telling us how amazing The Turk's Inn was. We started with the ceremony and cocktails on the roof before the food being served in the dining room, finishing with dancing and drinks in the Sultan Room. Natalie and Varun were super accommodating and great on the day of. Everything was super smooth and we didn't have to worry about anything. Even before having our wedding here, the restaurant was phenomenal.
I can’t wait to come back here. The portion size, the price points, the vibes - everything was wonderful. Such a great experience. It’s perfect for everyone - group dinner with the boys, date night, yap session with your best gal pal, etc. it’s so nice to see items on the menu that will satisfy you under $20. This menu very much makes you want to order multiple items for the table just to try even though the portions are not made for sharing. No clue what traffic looks like on the weekend but coming here on a weeknight was great!
This place has a fun vibe. You definitely come here for the ambiance. We were a large group (9 people) so we had to get the pre fix menu and we had a 1.5 hour time limit. The pre fix included: - dips and bread (quite nice, the red dip was my favorite) (4/5) - salad (3.5/5) - cabbage “steak” and lamb - since I don’t eat meat I only tried the cabbage steak but I thought it was quite tasty! (4/5) - two types of fries and dip (3.5/5) - mouse dessert with pistachios and coconut (3.5/5) For drinks I got the Maggie (4.5/5) I thought this was very refreshing - I ended up reordering :). Overall it was fun, the prefix menu made it easy for a large group. I recommend to make a reservation.
Damn, review adjustment. This place is amazing but I was trying to get hold of them for DAYS to see about making a reservation for my sibling’s birthday dinner tonight. After never hearing back from anyone we decided to just try to walk in. Then I pick them and a bunch of their friends up and drive 45 minutes here to find out it’s closed for a private event tonight. If you tell everyone to email for reservations, please check your email! It would have taken two minutes to reply and let us know it was closed tonight and saved a long disappointing trip on my sibling’s birthday.
I’d give this place a solid 3.5. It’s got this charming, small-town whimsy that feels totally unexpected for the neighborhood. The interior nails it—a mix of Turkish decor and trinkets blended with a kind of mid-century Midwestern vibe. The way the seating is arranged, paired with the friendly service, makes it feel lively and fun while still cozy enough to enjoy time with your group. The appetizer platter was the star of the night. The bread was light but perfectly toasted, and the dips and seasoned olives were delicious. Unfortunately, the mains didn’t hold up. The steak was juicy, but it was absolutely swimming in garlic butter, which made it hard to finish despite the generous portion. The lamb ribs were the biggest disappointment—they were so gamey that it overwhelmed everything else, and any seasoning they used was barely noticeable. The rice we ordered on the side was just okay—nothing that stood out or made me want to come back for it. Honestly, I’d come back for drinks and appetizers because the vibe is great, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for dinner here again.
The food is delicious, the staff is pleasant and professional. The portion sizes are all over the place for the price. We ordered the marinated lamb sirloin and for $30+ it was barely enough for one person. On the other hand, the whole grilled bass, which was also $30+ was enough to feed three people. The cheese curds were about as delicious as I've ever had; having grown up in the Midwest, I really wanted some potatoey and gravy on them though! We also ordered the calamari and it was very good as well, though touted as having shawarma seasoning on it, we couldn't find that flavor ourselves. The music was a bit loud for my preferences. All in a good kitschy dining experience. The loud music and small portion of lamb were my reason for taking off two stars.
THE WORST RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!! The food is not Turkish; the taste is horrible; the prices are EXTREMELY HIGH; and the “chef” has no experience with what food in Turkey tastes or looks like. The pictures online are FAKE and don't represent what the actual food is on the menu. My 5-year-old daughter can cook and serve better food. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I would give ZERO stars if it were available. DISASTER OF A PLACE.
I really wanted to love this place and, in many ways, I did. The food was exceptional: the lamb was tender and flavorful, the cheese curds were delicious, and the drinks were perfectly balanced. The atmosphere was unique as well — dimly lit, with a deep red, Middle Eastern-inspired aesthetic that created an intimate and vibrant setting. Unfortunately, what began as a wonderful evening took an unexpected and distressing turn. Members of our group, several of whom are part of the LGBTQ+ community, were unexpectedly confronted by another guest, who escalated the situation by physically throwing a glass of water at one of our party. While we were admittedly lively (as many groups are in New York restaurants), we did not engage in any behavior or language intended to offend. Rather than taking time to fully understand what had occurred or to address the clear act of aggression from the other patron, management chose to ask our entire group to leave and to box up our meals. This was deeply disappointing, especially given that we had been genuinely enjoying the food and atmosphere up to that point. It’s unfortunate that an otherwise exceptional culinary experience was overshadowed by the handling of this incident. I sincerely hope that, in the future, the restaurant’s management will adopt a more balanced and thoughtful approach to such situations- one that ensures all guests feel safe, heard, and treated with fairness.
