My co-worker told me about this place, she kept ranting and raving about how good the food was. I was satisfied with my order. Hours later I became very sick. One thing I don’t play about is food especially when spending a-lot of money on it. Food poisoning is not good! At ALL!💯 These restaurants need to be more mindful as far as how they handle their food to the public!!!! I’m highly disappointed!!!!!! In hate being sick!!! I know it was this food because that was my first meal that day.

Food is below average and over priced. Customer service is the worst. Don't waste your money on this place, it's a guarantee disappointment.

I would honestly give a 0 star for the service if I could. First of all the food is pricey for the portions being served. Roy himself had to personally tell one of them to add more to the plate the other day. There are no clear days on when lunch specials are served. One server might say yes today and the other might say no not today. There is always conflicting information. Their jerk chicken/wings (the MAIN reason why I buy from this place btw) is good but the people are rude and nasty and are definitely greedy with money. You do not get what you paid for. I cannot wait to speak to Roy himself.

Location is really hot which could easily be solved by cracking the door especially on cold days, but that would take consideration for the customers. Service is very slow even when there are only two other customers, (one who already ordered) i ended up waiting 10 minutes to be called up. When i was finally able to order i was greeted with a disgusting attitude and overly priced food. Its bad enough other cultures treat us badly in this neighborhood but from people who look like you its even sadder. I ended up getting on the bus opposite from my home just to go to a different restaurant.

It doesn't deserve any stars other then negative..... brought 2 meal curry chicken and goat well I thought it was to say the least food was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING..... not cooked rice barf too spicy..... you tarnished the authentic Caribbean dishes........ and further more the place was dirty...... many years ago it was good..... if you know nothing about Caribbean food DONT COOK IT!!!!!!!!! Run stay away don't do business here avoid it!!!!! Next day food poison!!!!! And further more your prices are absolutely ridiculous and insane.............. one piece of oxtail a piece of goat no flavor or gravy........ just close down already!!!!

This used to be the best place to eat in the city of Albany ny Over the years the food is getting worse and worse and worse has to be a new cook either. It's dry overhot spicy, they're just nasty. This fried chicken has no flavor at all. The peas and rice is nasty. It hasn't. No flavor at all. Let's not talk about the fried fritter. That was overcooked and hard. I spent $40 in there on a soup of fried fritter and a fried chicken dinner, not even worth it.

The central Ave location is certainly not it. They should just shut this one down and focus on Schenectady as I will never come here again. I got what I always order and it was disgusting. Salty jerk shrimp, bland rice and a teaspoon of cabbage. I am truly disappointed. Since they moved up the street the quality has been trash. Save your money and don't go there. Never again

Love Roy’s to death, but this new one on Central Avenue is.. well.. not my favorite. Terrible customer service I’ve been given the wrong amount of change on multiple occasions, and now a burned Hard beef patty and frozen Cocoa bread !! again, I love uncle Roy and his family to death, but he needs to put his foot down on his new business and get it running properly

The food was disgusting 🤮 this is not jerk chicken. The rice was okay, customer service was horrible. I was not expecting authentic jerk chicken but this was nothing close to jerk.

Terrible and nasty 🤢 the plantains were good. Oxtail had a lot of fat and it tasted gross. Not worth it 2 oxtail dinners were $59 🧐. Waste of money.
