Super organized. You can order on the app. Highly recommend the strawberry boom and the grape boom. Sugar and ice are adjustable. Out of all the bubble tea in the area, this place is awesome
as an extremely harsh critic of boba, the tapioca here is 1000/10. my go-to is either the supreme brown sugar milk bobo (original) or the coconut mango boom!
Great taste. Worth a try!
My girlfriends best friend works here and invited us to come. The tea is absolutely amazing!! I particularly like the coconut mango boom.
So excited to have a HeyTea in this area! The staff there are very attentive and are very willing to explain what goes in every drink. The Grape Boom is my favorite. Best jasmine flavor and super fresh grape taste!
I come here every week, it's always packed, which is a bit annoying. But the workers are always trying their best to get people in and out. HEYTEA and Xing Fu Tang are the only boba places I like!
Obsessed with yingde black milk tea. Just so happy to see the variety of Chinese teas they offer with many fruit tea options as well. Veru high quality and fresh ingredients with excellent service.
As a bubble tea fanatic trying tea all over the city the past ten years (who never leaves reviews) this tea is beyond!! The best boba tea you’ll ever try. The perfection of the coconut mango boom - there is so much happening with the cream and chunks of fruit, it’s incredible!! Best best best. I never order fruit tea either but wow!! 🤩 also the brown sugar boba is the best milk tea option! Jasmine tea latte is good too. Matcha cloud is incredible!! I’ve tried most but if it’s your first time here? Try the coco mango boom
Exceptionally clean environment. TOP tier customer service, I wish I could remember the Asian girl’s name but she was super friendly and courteous. Since I was a first timer and unsure of my selection she was very patient and helpful in making a choice. The mango coconut drink I got was off the charts! Excellent
I've been missing the grapefruit pulp I grew accustomed to in my travels in Taiwan last year. But no more, I got the grapefruit boom here and my grapefruit pulp dreams are now realized - and only a few blocks from where I live. I was a little hesitant to come here based on some of the negative reviews, but I visited on a weekday at lunch time, my order was filled quickly, there was no wait, and the service was friendly. In addition, my drink tasted great.
The mango grapefruit is so good!! Wait time was not long at all and the spot was very clean and cozy. Definitely will come back to try the other drink options!
**Heytea - Downtown Brooklyn: A Must-Visit for Tea Lovers!** If you're a fan of creative and refreshing drinks, Heytea in Downtown Brooklyn is a gem. The ambiance is modern and inviting, with a clean, minimalist vibe that makes it a perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. The staff is friendly, and service is generally quick despite the popularity of the place. The star of the show, of course, is the tea! Their fruit teas are an absolute must-try, with the bursting flavors of fresh fruit paired beautifully with high-quality tea bases. I recommend the Grapefruit Boom, which balances the tartness of the fruit with the subtle sweetness of the tea. For those who love something creamier, the Cheese Foam teas are a unique treat—rich, smooth, and not overly sweet. The variety here is impressive, with plenty of customizable options for sweetness and ice levels. The ingredients always taste fresh, and you can tell that a lot of thought goes into each drink. While prices are on the higher end for bubble tea, the quality and experience more than justify it.
We got the mango coconut and grape drinks and while they were delicious (!!), it's really hard to justify paying $9 (after tax) for 1 drink. I'm glad I was able to catch them for their BOGO promotion, but given the prices, I don't feel a strong urge to go back.
Could be better, they didn't have the Boba straws and only had paper so I had to get one from somewhere else
The drinks here are very good but they do not have enough staff to meet demand at busy times of day, especially due to online ordering.
Super inconsistent. Their matcha drinks are GREAT when they're great, and just fine other times. But the real reason I'm posting is to BEG corporate to turn down their scent machine at this location! A few days ago, I ordered a drink on the app, so I was in the store picking it up for under 2 min. I drank my tea, went to a workout class, ran some errands, came home, and my hair STILL smelled like that "jasmine tea" fragrance they pump through the store. Even with the inconsistencies, I've still enjoyed going here, but the fragrance is starting to turn my stomach. And I love perfume, so I can only imagine how people who hate it would feel. It's SO strong!
This was my first time here, and to be honest, the wait wasn’t worth it. Perhaps it was the drink I chose, but I paid extra for boba and received barely any—there wasn’t enough boba. I also had to wait 15 minutes for jasmine tea. However, I will come back to try another drink. I did enjoy the coconut foam on top; it made the drink different from other boba spots.
Great bubble tea, but the service needs improvement. Over thirty cups were made, yet no one was packing them, leaving a crowd of customers waiting in the store. After a 40-minute wait, I finally received my order—only to find the sugar level was wrong.
Can you please offer non dairy for matcha
Worst location. Service was slow and unprofessional. The workers were all converged in the back abandoning customers at the counter. The location looked wet and dirty. The drinks were also badly prepared. I had to throw it out.
They put the wrong order, I ordered a simple iced jasmine tea, my wife and my daughter in a stroller are waiting, but no, 10 mins later no nothing, just dumped the receipt in the garbage can and left. No way I'm coming back.
Extremely slow or forgot my order. Ordered at 4:50pm as soon as I arrived since it wasn’t busy. It got busy after i ordered but everyone after me got their orders. I check in 20min for the status and was told they’re out of matcha and it’ll be about 5-10 min. In total, I waited 35min after ordering to get my drink and got a 5% off coupon for my wait (worth 30-40cents off a drink).
I was there with my family and just left a few minutes ago and was given very bad service by the staffs. Not sure if they were short staffed or woke up on the wrong side of the bed. My sister didn't like her red blossom milk tea as it was too sweet eventhough she has asked for less sugar and requested for a change. The lady making drinks started shouting to her colleagues at the back in Mandarin saying we asked for a remake and started doing things very 'loudly' she was even shouting at her colleagues and they all started banging things loudly. We didn't come to listen to 'kitchen orchestra" and obviously they made all the other customers' drinks who came in after us first, after all they are remaking the drink for us
I used HungryPanda to order my drink for pickup to save time. I got there and waited 20 min passed my pickup time. I asked the staff to check on my order and they said it’s on the way. Meanwhile the people that came after me and ordered via the kiosk got their drinks before me. I don’t mind waiting if there’s a delay due to high volume but the system is really flawed and the staff is very incompetent, especially the ladies at the counter. The problem is not staff shortage. It's the order it was made. Using the app should save us time but instead your orders get skipped over. Customers who came 20 minutes after me that ordered in person received their drinks before I did. When I inquired, all I received was an apology and it continues to happen.
Tried coconut mango at Grand street and it blew my mind, went here 2 days after very little boba, slushie melted down in 10 minutes and less sugar option that I chose was too sweet, drink even looked different. You need better quality control, it’s way too expensive to be inconsistent. Left review in the app it’s been a week nobody got back to me, why do even ask if I want to be contacted lol. Anyways, you won’t be seeing me at this location.
I am writing this to give an honest review on my my experience here, I do not visit this Cafe very often but they are familiar with me and my order however my last time going to this location It was the dehumanizing. I felt targeted because of a simple spill! Which was very immature and racist.I email customer service and they alerted the store manager and they really tried to gaslight me. The drink spilled and I was asked to repurchase another drink. They took the time to map out the drink spill in a story book with a timeline email instead of stating that they are sorry for the misunderstanding. Will never purchase from this company on a whole. Not like I stole the drink was paid for but spilled. Not blaming anyone for a spill just disgusted that I had to debate for a replacement of milk and ice with some tea in in.The manager stated that I spilled the drink on myself which was a lie.Sometimes we a consumers have to take our money elsewhere and know our value.my experience is different from yours but I have a right to share this with the public.
Ran out of the kale tea but didn’t let us know. Had to wait for 20 mins and asked 3x before they let us know that they ran out
Almost 20 min wait with drinks piling up behind the counter - had to leave and just give away my drink order. staff is very nice, but not efficient.
They took 30 min to prepare a tea, other branches are much faster
I’ve ordered Heytea more than ten times and usually enjoyed it. But lately, the wait times have become unacceptable. Ordering through HungryPanda is much slower than ordering directly in the Heytea app — my drink took over 40 minutes. It also feels like HungryPanda orders are treated differently, which is disappointing. If this continues, I’ll seriously consider not coming back anymore.
I ordered through the app and arrived at the store to pick up my drink. I ended up waiting 30 minutes with no update, no notification, and no explanation. Only after I asked another customer—who had also been waiting a long time—did I find out they were out of one of the ingredients needed to make my drink. The store never informed me, never called, and never updated the app. What’s even more disappointing is that there was no apology from any of the staff members. No acknowledgment of the delay. Nothing. If you’re out of ingredients, at the very least notify customers immediately so they can choose another option or cancel. Making customers wait 30+ minutes with no communication is unacceptable.
Extremely disappointing experience. I’m a regular Heytea customer and often go out of my way for my favorite drink, the Brown Sugar Boba. Today, I stopped at the Jay Street–MetroTech location because of a BOGO promotion on the Mochi Yingde Black Milk Tea, which is currently being promoted. After waiting about 20 minutes, I was told my order was being prepared, after which the employee went back to chatting and discussing behind the counter with the other staff. After another 15 minutes, the staff appeared confused when I asked again and then informed me—nearly an hour later—that they were out of mochi and it would take another 20–30 minutes. I am currently pregnant and cannot stand for long periods or wait without access to a restroom. I asked why this wasn’t communicated earlier, as I would have happily switched to another drink and left. The staff member agreed to change my order, issued a revised receipt, and told me it would be made quickly. A few minutes later, she returned with another employee and said the change could not be honored after all, and that I would need to wait longer if I wanted the BOGO offer. After standing for over an hour with very limited seating, I was told to “just take a refund if it doesn’t suit you.” This was not just poor communication—it was poor management. Running promotions without ingredient readiness and failing to inform customers in time shows a disregard for customer experience. Being told to simply take a refund after standing for over an hour is unacceptable.
Extremely biased and unprofessional service from the staff (younger duo). I witnessed a customer being refused a specific beverage and told it was 'sold out,' only to watch the staff prepare that exact same drink for a different customer immediately after. The staff appeared to be mocking certain patrons and were laughing throughout the exchange. When questioned about the discrepancy in service, the male staff member was dismissive and claimed it was just 'the system.' Their behavior changed completely and they became uncooperative the moment I tried to document the situation. Incredibly unwelcoming environment if you don't fit a certain demographic.
This is not my favorite location and would only get it when I wanted to treat my self. My last order was terrible. I've had the basic jasmine tea before but this tasted like the tea leaves were burnt. I ordered my drink warm with boba which mean I didn't get a clear cup so didn't notice there wasn't any boba until I got home. Ended up throwing it away because of how bad it was. Yea this is definitely the worst location.
Every single time I’ve ordered it takes forever to get the order. Even if you order ahead online you have to wait. The most recent time I ordered ahead and it took 30 minutes to make two teas when there wasn’t even a rush of orders, the place was empty.
