Best happy hour in the city!! If you love sushi and drinks you have to stop by here especially during their happy hour. It’s from 3:30pm-7:00pm with a $6 per item happy hour menu of hand rolls, appetizers, drinks, and more. The sushi itself was absolutely delicious! We ordered the spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and yellowtail. The spicy rolls were very flavorful without the spicy mayo taste of typical spicy rolls and even and had a little crisp to them. We also had the takoyaki which I loved, it was very flavorful and had only a subtle fishy taste. You HAVE to come here if you love good sushi and happy hour deals. On a Tuesday around 4pm we only waited at most five minutes to be seated and the service was very attentive for how busy the restaurant was. They also have outdoor seating which is great for the summer!

Great sushi spot! Intimate place, service that is very attentive and great prices. Came in for happy hour, and it was busy at 3 pm on a Tuesday (Which is how you know it’s good). The spicy rolls were very flavorful and filled with crunch! You could tell that it was fresh. The takoyaki was VERY DELICIOUS and authentic. Everyone was definitely having a great time, and this place has a great vibe.

Small shop located in LES with good food. Happy hour prices are great and definitely worth stopping in for. Fried cheesecake was definitely our favorite. We'll be back.

The food is delicious, and they have a good happy hour. I recommend making a reservation or arriving early; otherwise, you’ll have to wait since the place is small but has a nice atmosphere. Service from the waiters and host could definitely be improved.

Our first time at Zest. We enjoyed the sushi and other items on their happy hour menu. The tapas style sizes were a bargain and we got to try a lot of items for only $6. The sushi was fresh and innovative. Everything we tried was super tasty and yummy. We especially enjoyed the “Salmon Dream” and the salmon skin salad. Our kids liked the pork shumai and the chicken fried rice. Not very Japanese but still super yummy. The Sapporo beers were $6 for HH and a bargain. We came on the weekend and Broome street is super lively and becomes a pedestrian only street which makes it even more accessible. We want to come back soon to try the items on their happy hour menu which we missed since we left super full and happy. Leave room for mochi ice cream for dessert.

Nice clean place with quick service, decent sushi and cute decor. Happy hour is very diverse and moderately priced. Really enjoyed the purple fries.

Food was pretty good. The price is very affordable for a place in lower Eastside. We had a bunch of their sushi rolls from their happy hour selections. The fried rice could be skipped but the purple fries were amazing with the honey mayo dip. I would definitely come back again

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What a phenomenal experience eating at Zest Sushi. We went in for happy hour and got seated right away. We ordered a variety of sushi rolls that all started at $6. The overall quality and flavor was very tasty and fresh! Highly recommend the White Tuna jalapeño appetizer and Fried Cheesecake!!!

It was my first time at this place and I enjoyed the happy hour. Service was so quick and the sushi was tasty! However, as I was eating one of my rolls I noticed something unusual in my mouth. It felt like a small thin bone (which obviously wouldnt be in sushi) I took it out and it was a piece of plastic…. I been eating sushi for years and this never happened. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

Came here during happy hour as walk-ins. Busy, but the wait time wasn't too bad. Service was fast and staff were friendly. Sushi tasted fresh! I do not recommend the mochi ice cream—it was too hard and a bit flavorless

They have a few gluten free options on the sushi happy hour which is great!! They are not labelled on the menu though so you have to ask. Not sure on their allergen protocols/selection in the kitchen for cross contamination.

Well the sushi was good chicken teriyaki fresh and delicious, green tea is not free as everywhere else and instead of normal cups they giving you shot glass and have no sugar, not the way i like to have my usual tea))) the place is so tiny you can’t even seat properly without touching the person next to you, especially in the winter with everyone wearing heavy coat its very uncomfortable. Also its packed with people and very noisy. If you like me and like to enjoy your food in a nice and relaxing atmosphere its not the place. In the summer they put tiny table sitting outside its better that sitting in that out crowed inside space. 5 for food and 1 for the arrangement.

Service is horrible. We didn't want Spicy Tuna in one of the roles that has lobster. Told us that there would be an up charge of $3. That has to be the silliest thing I have heard. The place is small and loud. I would gladly pay more to go to a more friendly place. Hadn't left yet and the server came by to tell me that I was wrong to give a bad review because I didn't understand that they charge more even if you remove the spicy tuna. My bad I guess it was my fault they had bad service and a crazy policy.
