I really enjoyed my meal here. The seafood gumbo with rice was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. We sat at a table rather than the bar, although the bar area looked amazing. The lobster mac and cheese was creamy and tasty, and I would have loved it baked just a little longer for an extra cheesy finish. The oysters were incredibly fresh and tasted like they came straight from the ocean. Everything together made for a wonderful dining experience.
Came today 01/15/2025, around 4 pm, during happy hour. Happy hour prices are extremely fair and we ate a lot while here. Service was fast and accurate. Food was really tasty, and even for someone like myself who does not like seafood was able to find some variety on the menu of non seafood options that actually tasted good. The grilled chicken on the nachos especially was well seasoned. The hush puppies are a great size, bigger and better than other restaurants. “Fiery” mac and cheese wasn’t “fiery” at all. Oh, and their flavored lemonades are AMAZING!
Outstanding Oyster House – A Must-Visit! If you're a fan of fresh seafood and top-tier whiskey, this oyster house is an absolute gem. The oysters were nothing short of phenomenal—fresh, perfectly shucked, and bursting with flavor. Whether you like them raw, grilled, or dressed up with creative toppings, they do them all to perfection. The whiskey selection is just as impressive, offering a well-curated lineup that pairs beautifully with the seafood. From smooth sips to bold, smoky pours, there's something for every whiskey lover. And let’s talk about the lobster roll—hands down one of the best I’ve had. Overflowing with tender, buttery lobster meat and served on a perfectly toasted roll, it was everything you could want in a lobster roll and more. Great atmosphere, attentive service, and a menu that delivers on every level. Whether you're an oyster aficionado, a whiskey enthusiast, or just someone who loves incredible food, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back!
Service, food, good company and above all the best oysters I've ever tasted in Alexandria, Virginia 🇺🇸
Lucked out in making reservations in the middle of happy hour! Happy hour runs Monday through Friday 3 to 6 with great specials. Food was delicious! Flaky, tasty fish & unique chips. Oysters & mussels were the perfect celebratory dinner. Our server provided lots of helpful information about the types of oysters. She asked if we were military and then proceeded to thank us for our service and applied a discount. The server’s support team (pooled tips) provided efficient, friendly service. Clearing the table promptly, delivering more bread & explaining which oysters were which on the platter. Also offering beer samples & quick refills. Comfortable seats, nicely spaced in a cool setting with festive decorations and a rolling ceiling rack of booze. Street parking was readily available when we arrived at 5 o’clock on a Friday. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced restaurant for a special occasion or for just dining out, Whiskey & Oyster is your place!
I came here for Restaurant Week and didn't eat the special. Instead, I had the happy hour fish and chips and the Seafood Alexander. The happy hour fish and chips was very good and a ton of food for a good price. The pasta was also really good and I was happy that I tried both. I definitely had food to take home. My waitress, I cannot remember her name but she was a amazing. For her to be working multiple sections she did a great job at being attentive. For a drink I had the Black Manhattan and it was very good. Will definitely visit again, I can see why happy hour is busy. There is also outdoor seating. Cute area for date night.
seafood gumbo plus rice was very nice, supper good food , the bar is fantasy. but we choose table, lobster mac n cheese also really good, can bake a little longer with chees over the dish, oysters are very fresh.
We stopped here on a whim, and we were happy we did! Bella, our server, was fantastic. She made sure we had the best table in the house. She was super knowledgeable and gave us all the best recommendations. She was friendly, and checked on us regularly to make sure we were happy with everything we ordered. The beer-battered cod fish and chips were light and crispy -the potatoes were perfectly fried. Don’t skip the beignets for dessert. We will be back for happy hour and whiskey Wednesdays!
Came here on a Saturday at 2pm with an hour left for brunch. Atmosphere is nice and the wait staff is attentive and informative. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller which was really good. The oysters are fresh so there is still the salt water(?) in there underneath the melted hollandaise, spinach and bacon. The calamari are good but the batter is greasy, which isn’t a problem until you eat a lot of them. Definitely still worth it. The classic lobster roll has a good amount of lobster on it. The sidewinder fries are thick and you get a good portion as well. The only disappointing thing was the burger. The bun was thick, the veggies fresh, but the patty was burnt and very small in comparison to everything else. We got the blueberry/lavender/sage(?) mimosa which comes with 2 fresh blueberries and the cranberry mimosa which has two fresh cranberries. The cranberry one was tart but delicious. The “Virginia is for lovers”’flight is STRONG. All and all would definitely come back here again. There is parking right in front of the restaurant but if you can’t get it there is garage parking around the corner
Our waitress I wish I could remember her name she was a lovely young lady she was great and so was the food we will definitely be returning sooner than later!!!!
Whiskey and Oyster was awesome!!! Bella was the best server we have had in a long time! The food was fantastic! We went for taco Tuesday and enjoyed the variety of tacos with fresh ingredients. The steamed shrimp and fried oysters were soooo good and cooked perfectly.
We had a large group of more than a dozen people. The staff did an excellent job serving us all. Everyone said their food was amazing and the atmosphere was beautiful. It was fun watching the automatic whiskey rack rotating like a train set above our heads. Fun place with unique dishes!
I really loved the experience at Whiskey and Oysters! Visited in Late August 2020 and they have all the pandemic safety protocols in place to ensure your dining experience is a good one! Well-spaced Outdoor seating, contactless ordering and payments, masked servers and hostess. Awesome! We had Sunday Brunch and ordered the Creole bowl and Lobster Omlette. The Omlette was delicious! Their Bloody Mary is soo so good and so are their Blueberry Lavender Mimosas! Service is fast and professional. I Highly recommended this place!
SO GOOD! Came here specifically for the oysters and they didn't disappoint. Calamari is delicious too. Mimosas were great along with the staff. Beautiful decor especially for outdoor seating.
February 2025, Happy hour. Fast service, very good food, cool dining area with overhead liquor rails & wine rack by the entrance. Must haves: oysters, steamed clams & seafood gumbo. Can skip: crab soup & peeled shrimp. If you're hungry: add fish & chips and grilled oysters. Pricewise, with happy hour: dozen oysters, steamed clams, grilled oysters, seafood gumbo & bottle of wine will set you for about $120. Final notes: place is quite popular even mid-week, so you may want to reserve. Oyster menu my have rotating options which are not on the website. Despite been "whiskey" titled, they have good wines to complement oysters & overall seafood. Nice touch: you can grab a styled fridge magnet near the entrance door.
I was in Alexandria for corporate travel and decided to dine at Whiskey & Oyster. This was my first time visiting. I sat at the bar because I loved the seating layout and decor. It was the perfect decision. There was plenty of space or "arm room" to relax while ordering and then eating. The bar service was great! I ordered the panseared salmon, with coconut rice and black beans(the best side item I've had in a while. I would love to have a similar recipe) and sweet potato fries. It was very satisfying and exceeded my expectations.
I am a regular to this place. The menu has plenty of options. I like to try new things but there are also many items I like to try revisit. The oysters are the best in the area. I enjoy the duck spring rolls, mussels and lobster. Service is consistently good and very clean nautical atmosphere.
Whiskey and Oyster in Alexandria, VA, is a hidden gem for steak lovers and cocktail enthusiasts. The steak was undeniably great, cooked to perfection with a juicy and flavorful center. It was a true carnivorous delight. Speaking of delights, their old fashioned cocktail was a classic done right. The blend of whiskey, bitters, and sugar was expertly balanced, creating a smooth and robust drink. The ambiance of the restaurant was sophisticated yet relaxed, making it a perfect spot for a memorable dining experience. Whiskey and Oyster is a must-visit for those seeking a delectable steak and a well-crafted cocktail.
Stopped in for oysters while I was in town. Sat at the bar and Mason made outstanding suggestions on oysters and hazy IPAs. He was so fun to chat with, but the star of the show were some of the freshest, best tasting oysters! I tried the Dixon and Backcreek, both outstanding!
We had our Sunday family dinner here. The drinks were creative and delicious. The oysters were enormous. The shrimp was fresh. The fish and chips were scrumptious. The service and atmosphere were superior. Will def be returning.
This was an awesome experience, Tim our waiter was great. Patio dining near the Carlyle Square was an awesome experience. The oysters were divine, lobster bisque scrumptious, the drinks were good, and the beignets weren’t too bad either. I would definitely visit again. Their COVID protocols are great as well.
I visited Whiskey & Oyster on a girl's weekend trip and was not disappointed. We specifically wanted seafood on this evening, and both ordered the rockfish (she got the Carribbean and I got the Wild). The fish was fresh, perfectly tender and seasoned wonderfully. We also ordered drinks from the cocktail menu (hers was the Mango Mask Off and mine was the Best Old Fashioned). Drinks were fantastic and the bar staff is great. I ordered the bread pudding - it was massive and although we tried, we couldn't finish it all. The berry compote and fresh whipped cream really put it over the top on the tastiness scale. If the weather is nice (like it was this weekend), get a little dolled up and sit outside. Grab yourself a drink and at least an appetizer. Relax and unwind. You'll thank me later.
Stopped by when they had an oyster special going on which you could get with the order of drinks. The oysters were medium with one variety being more salty and the other more sweet. They were not very meaty (as you should expect this time of year) but I like them this way. Good drink selection and I would recommend the old fashion at the top of the menu. My wife enjoyed the Rose cocktail as well. Reasonable beer selection and the calamari app. was also very good with good sauces. Not cheap but reasonably busy even on a Monday afternoon.
First off, I was visiting town for a work conference at the Westin down the road. And was disappointed at the hotel restaurant food. This place was a godsend, some of the best oysters, friendliest staff, and best drinks I've had in a long time. While the food isn't exactly cheap, it's not too terrible for the area, and I would definitely be back again. If you're on your own, don't hesitate to sit at the bar and listen to the old school punk music that's playing and have a drink
Review: Stopped in for just one drink and ended up having one of the best bar experiences I’ve had in a long time. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Our bartender’s whiskey knowledge was outstanding, and the creativity behind the original drinks he’s crafted was impressive. He was speaking my language and could see me light up as I followed his advice. You could tell he was passionate about his craft, and it elevated the entire experience. I’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this spot to anyone who values great drinks and even better service.
Such yummy food and we love going there. You feel like family. Best lobster rolls ever!
I went here for a friend's birthday for the oysters. The oysters were great, the food and drinks were good and good atmosphere. Cute restaurant with good food. We would go back.
Came here with some friends for dinner on a Saturday! It wasn’t too busy. The service staff were great. They have a wide variety of beer, wine, mixed drinks, and bourbon/whiskey. I tried out the 1/2 pound of peel and eat shrimp and the pear salad. Both were delicious. I got a side of remoulade for the shrimp which was fabulous. My friends shared two different kinds of oysters and said it was delicious. Will be back !
A lovely spot with outdoor seating that enhances the experience. The food and service were top-notch! I highly recommend the oysters—they're a must-try. I'll definitely be returning next time I'm in Alexandria!
We visited this seafood restaurant in Alexandria a while ago and came across it while exploring the area. The restaurant had an ocean theme, with blue lights resembling the ocean and sea-themed objects on the walls and ceiling. We started with some fresh and tasty oysters on the half shell for the appetizer, followed by calamaries, lobster mac & cheese, and seasoned salmon, which were delicious. To finish our meal, we ordered a perfect slice of NY cheesecake. We are excited to return to try other items on the menu soon.
This place was fantastic. The whiskey is over priced, but such is most places these days. The she crab soup was incredible. The lobster roll was very good. And the fried calamari was some of the best I’ve ever had. They seemed to be a bit understaffed but the wait wasn’t too bad. I will definitely be back!
We ordered steam whole lobster, lobster omelet, duck spring roll, season gumbo, of course Oysters too! Pretty good for the main part, the service was super slow and non of the potatoes are fully cooked! After all, I do recommend this place to have the seafood and oysters!
Second time coming here for $1 oyster Mondays. Good happy hour prices from 3 to 5 pm too. Aside from raw oysters, they also have good calamari, po boy sandwiches, and fried oyster. Will try other seafood dishes here in future visits.
Great place in the area for some oysters and whiskey--even a pretty good rare whiskey selection. A little pricey for the rare whiskey (justifiably so) so it's up to you on deciding whether you want to pay for a pour. I've been here twice, once for dinner and once for happy hour. They have some pretty good selections for happy hour and the menu overall looks great. My wife ordered every food item from the happy hour menu and it was all good. I'm not sure how I feel about the lobster bisque fries (because of how the fries are cut) but it still tasted good. The parmesan cheese variety of the grilled oyster is probably the best of the lot. And there is a seafood tower available that includes lobster, oysters, crawfish?, mussels, fish roe, shrimp, and sauces which is pretty cool. The staff was really nice and I would definitely come back again but the bar area by the conveyor, which is definitely unique, was uncomfortably warm when I went for happy hour; the first time I went for dinner, it was more comfortable. Overall, the temperature by the bar was the only issue for me.
I was excited when I made my reservation for dinner. My experience was somewhat less than I expected. The food was good (gave it a 4), but the atmosphere and the service were not what I expected based on previous reviews. The restaurant had kind of an open seating area, which created a bit of a loud environment and felt a bit like a diner. My waitress very friendly, but not attentive and assumed, at one point, that I was done and I hadn't had an entree yet. My meal ended up being an extended experience. The food was good. If you are looking for dinner in a casual, open atmosphere with pretty good food, then I would recommend. Menu consisted mainly of apps, raw menu, sandwiches and a few entrees. All entrees are seafood. Aside from burgers, there is really no red meat on the menu. If you are looking for a nice dinner in a semi-private setting, this is probably not the right place. If you are looking for a semi-casual setting with pretty good seafood, this restaurant will fit the bill.
We decided to try this place for lunch. It was a beautiful day so we devided to sit outside. After ordering the seafood tower, the waiter noticed bugs were starting to circle. He moved us to another area that was bug free. I think his name was Michael, he was great. He gave great suggestions and was very attentive. The other staff members were great too. Overall the food was good. The seafood tower was good. The thai oysters, fried oysters and the shrimp were my favorites. Drinks and the Whiskey flight was great.
My husband and I went at about 10pm. Let me start off with, the only items we found good were the appetizers. The Oyster Rockefeller was full of flavor and cheesy; and the Duck Spring Rolls were so good I could've just had that as my main course My husband and I both got the Caribbean Rockfish meal. In my opinion the fish itself was pretty good, but the beans and rice was not it. We got a dozen oysters, they were barely shucked. The spinach and squash/onions weren't too good either, lacking. The drinks were decent. My husband got an Old Fashioned and I got a Strawberry Margarita. The service was ok, again it was late, so that could've been it. Overall 6/10 (in my Keith Lee voice lol)
The dishes in the photos 📸 were very yummy: hush puppies, sweet potato fries, calamari, fried oysters, fish & chips. I wasn't happy w/what I ordered which was a side salad & the shrimp & grits...I didn't taste the cheese in the grits & the shrimps were very tough probably because the dish looked like soup & the shrimp continued to cook in the sauce (last 2 photos 📸) Overall it was a nice place to visit w/friendly staff & great atmosphere.
It's important to note that this was Restaurant Week where restaurants tend to be busier, which is why I give the service only three stars. It took a very long time for us to get our drinks, and a very long time for the server to come back and check on us. The food was good but unfortunately nothing to really rave about. I do recommend trying the harissa butter and Chipotle bourbon butter for the grilled oysters. When ordering the scallops, please know that you're only getting a few scallops on a plank board, which hardly seems worth the $35 that was spent on it. For dessert I recommend either the chocolate torte or the beignets. The options for restaurant week were disappointing, especially when most other restaurants are offering a prix fixe menu. One positive note, they had an impressive whiskey selection. I'm glad we tried this restaurant, but it was not enough for me to want to come back.
I visited this past Sunday, 3/16. It was very quiet, even with the employees. They don’t really greet you. Me and another lady were waiting and an employee came by, said “Hi” and walked away. The young lady who I found out was the hostess, walked up and greeted me. I told her I wanted a booth, but none were clean so she had to buss my table herself. Which she said she wiped off but I had to ask for it to be wiped again, TWICE. This caused the other patron to have to wait a while longer to be seated. Once seated the hostess let me know Kendra would be serving me. While Kendra was very nice, service was extremely slow, they looked to only have one server taking care of, from what I could see, 5 tables inside and an unknown number of tables outside. I had been seated about 10 minutes before she came to our “section” and checked out the table across from me. Granted she acknowledged me and said she would be right with me, it was approximately another 18 minutes before a different young lady asked if I ordered yet, which I hadn’t, so I ordered with her. I will mention that at around the 14 minute mark, Kendra did come tell me she was so sorry and that she would be there shortly. Another thing I noticed was that upon my arrival the front door facing booth had not been cleaned, and remained unclean for 16 minutes after I had been seated. So, for almost 30 minutes. They also didn’t have many of the raw oysters listed on their menu. But they had other options not listed on the paper menu. I also wanted fries, but they warned me that they may not have those either (they didn’t). I initially ordered 2 Blue Point oysters, Grilled Oysters with Chimichurri, and Lemon Pepper Asparagus. My Blue Points were brought out first, by Kendra, who again apologized for the wait. So delicious that I had to double back for three more. The asparagus needed a bit more seasoning, I tasted no lemon or pepper. And the chimichurri on the oysters was underwhelming, but adding a bit of Tabasco sauce to both did them justice. I literally inhaled it. I did realize that after the fact, the bottom of the chimichurri oyster plate was covered in salt. So I probably could’ve used that to give it more flavor. And lastly for my drink, I ordered an Old Cuban. It was fantastic.
Brunch was very underwhelming, especially price to portion ratio. The atmosphere was cute, and it was very clean. The serving staff was great and attentive, but the kitchen staff did mess up the order but they also rectified it. The menu is deceiving as the "skillet" item order did not come out in a piping hot skillet, but instead luke warm food on a cold plate. Their "potato hash" was just gaint pan seared potatoes, and the lobster in the omelet was over cooked. We doubt we'll be back.
Drinks were great and there was ample parking out front. The calamari was overcooked - the lobster grilled cheese was fresh but needed a butter/garlic sauce or additional seasoning. Lobster bisque and clam chowder were tasty and the kiddo seemed to enjoy the chicken fingers, fries and mac. Grilled oysters with butter garlic sauce were also delicious. Overall the food was okay but they need more staff to handle the brunch crowd.
Tara and I attended the Galentine’s Party at Whiskey & Oyster. Reservations were encouraged. Each table had a 2-hour dining limit. Upon entry, we were greeted with goodie bags that contained sunglasses, scrunchy, and chocolate. They had a vendor selling permanent bracelets to benefit a good cause and a photobooth. They had two menu available - Galentine Day Brunch Menu and Regular Menu. Neither of us opted in for their Mimosa and Mocktail Bar. Tara enjoyed her hot coffee, Triple Cherry Manhattan, and Eggs Benedict with Cheesy Grits. I had the $7.95 Wild Blueberry Green Tea (which tasted like a regular iced tea but twice the price) and $19.95 Maine Lobster Omelette with Chef's Potatoes. The omelette didn't have much taste and barely had any lobster in it. The Chef's Potatoes were the highlight on the dish! They were seasoned with salt and pepper and finished with parmesan.
I used to love this place and we came here often, but the lobster roll is now a huge disappointment. For $32, you get tiny bits of overcooked lobster, and it looks nothing like the photo on the website. It used to be exactly as advertised, so I’m not sure what changed. The extra star is for the excellent service and the beignets — those are still amazing.
Maybe I should have eaten what’s in the name of the restaurant because nothing I had was good to me. I’ll start with the staff were friendly. Parking is available on the street and a garage a few blocks away. The restaurant is a decent size and they have outdoor seating available. We tried the hush puppies. It’s not traditional hush puppies and that’s my problem I thought I would like them. It tasted like a ball of flavorless dough. My luck with the shrimp and grits was bad as well. Some of the shrimp were blackened with the skin still on. I found out while eating them. The gravy wasn’t thick. The sausage and bacon wasn’t cooked enough for me. I prefer those meats to be cooked more with crispy edges. The maple syrup didn’t compliment the dish to me. The texture and consistency of the grits were great. I’m sure the recipe is overall pleasant to the chef/creator but I wouldn’t order it again.
I recently experienced the brunch offerings at Whisky and Oyster in Alexandria, VA. The accessibility of paid street parking right outside or nearby parking lots provides a convenient entry to this establishment. The allure of an extensive bourbon menu, coupled with the allure of $1 specials every third Wednesday, intrigued me. The oyster selection, which prompted us to upgrade from half a dozen to a full dozen, was truly excellent. Our culinary journey continued with a Lobster Omelette, W&O Egg Sandy, and Whiskey's All American, all of which delivered delightful flavors, with the exception of the misleadingly named cheddar grits. These sides lacked the substantial cheddar presence expected from traditional grits. The drink selection, featuring the Best Old Fashions and Chia Latte, proved commendable, though priced a bit higher than average. While nothing stood out as extraordinary, they hit the spot, especially for old-fashioned whisky enthusiasts. The beignets, however, deviated from traditional expectations, resembling more of a light croissant than the classic beignet texture. A notable drawback was the inattention to special requests. Despite marking the occasion as a birthday, neither the hostess nor the waitress inquired further. This oversight raises questions about the purpose of such markings if they go unnoticed. In conclusion, Whisky and Oyster is an excellent dining option, particularly if you assertively advocate for your preferences. The misleading names for dishes and oversight on special requests are areas that could be improved to elevate the overall dining experience.
A last minute change of plans had me in Washington for NYE. I’m a huge seafood and whiskey fan and this was close to my hotel so seamed like a no brainer. Unfortunately I wish I just grabbed whiskey here and ate elsewhere. The NYE chefs tasting menu or oysters were the only thing on offer for NYE. I started with the octopus which came out overcooked and gummy the plate contents were lukewarm and chorizo burnt. Second was the she-crab soup which had a lovely flavour, albeit very thin. Which was also served lukewarm but did have some nice crab chunks within. The kale citrus salad was probably the standout from these offerings, which is really saying something since it wasn’t cooked! The dressing was well balanced. My main was the crab stuffed lobster tail. Where the plate looked so unapprealing over all I thought I was in a food cour and could fathom taking a picture. The crab stuffing was complete mush and the lobster was horribly cooked, although had wonderful flavour. I had to destroy the shell into tiny pieces to get any meat out of the tail. No garlic came through on the potatoes and both them and the zucchini/red pepper/mushroom vegg side were exceedingly bland. I chose the creme brûlée for desert and sacrilegiously it was served with whipped cream on top of the brûléed sugar! So, no crunch, no crack. The custard underneath had lovely texture and flavour though! I had a whisky flight, which is pretty hard to screw up and made me laugh a little bit with the humour in the flavour descriptors. However I followed that with a blood and sand. Which is apparent the bartenders had no idea how to make. Not only did the drink come out brown tinged and clear, it tasted like it was made with Cointreau with heavy orange flavours. I asked the server to confirm how the drink was made with the bartender and he was hesitant to. He advised the bar “cherry syrup” was used for colour. To which I showed him the glass and he defended it was Bordeaux cherries. My sever was lovely and attentive through the evening and made sure my courses had a good flow to them time wise! Apparently here that is on the servers and not on the chef or expeditor to time plates for the guests 🤨.
Places I will never go again. Food was decent. Service was poor for the environment. The automatic 20% tip was annoying. The 3% up charge to use my credit card to pay was a cheap move. Charge me $2 more per plate for my food if you want to be that cheap but do not pass your credit card fees on to the customer. That’s poor form.
Zero stars if i could. Let me preface this by stating that it was my mistake for coming on St Patrick’s day, i’ll take fault for that. This was the worst dining experience I’ve had in years. I got seated at 9pm. Hostess was very kind. Issues did follow soon after. The waiter came by and asked us if we were ready or if we needed more time only to tell us to hold on for 30 seconds and disappear for like 10 mins (we got seated at 9pm and last call was at 9:45pm). He came back and we placed orders for apps, drinks, and our oysters. Drinks came out quickly (only reason why i tipped), but the food took forever. We checked in again at 9:45 asking where our oysters are (YOU KNOW THE WHOLE PREMISE OF THIS PLACE AND THE REASON WHY WE WERE THERE), he appeared to have forgotten to put the order in or maybe the kitchen forgot about us. Our oysters came in at like 9:50pm at which point we realized we did not get the dozen we asked for. Mind you from the moment we sat down we flagged him multiple times and he would nod and proceed to tend to larger parties instead of us. I pride myself in being a generous tipper wherever I go but this experience left me considering whether i should i even leave a tip. The waiter tried to mend the mistake by bringing the missing item but at this point i was so upset i didn’t care for it. I asked for the check and left oysters from my initial order as well as their bs apology oysters. Let me be clear, that the only reason why I left a tip was because of the bartender and the hostess, because we were seated quickly and our drinks were delivered in a speedy manner. The food aside from the oysters was bland and cold. Inexcusable. You shouldn’t be tending to larger parties in hopes for a larger tip and neglecting others. Will never return here and will ensure others don’t waste their time or hard learned money here either.
Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! My poor wife picked this place for Father’s Day and it was absolutely horrible. It took forever for us to be seated, the “hostess” or whomever was seating us took forever to acknowledge us and come over. She finally did and was very slow as if we were on her time. They finally came over to us to take our order and remembered the silverware. The fork was completely bent. I order a whiskey that was completely watered down. They had Coq au vin listed as a special which I was hoping to enjoy but after we placed the order and 20 minutes later (we timed it) the waitress came back and indicated they were out of the Coq au vin. This is something that should have been communicated from the kitchen as soon as this happened. It wasn’t a surprise to them but of course the ineptitude was on full display. We ordered coconut lime rice high was a mushy mess. We ordered lobster Mac and Cheese that was terrible. After the Coq au vin debacle, I ordered jambalaya that was cold. We ended up sending the food back and getting the hell out of there because they were a mess. They were NOT busy but it took an hour for us to be subpar food and this place had the nerve to try to charge us for their poorly prepared food and horrific service. Do not go to this place!
