The customer service during the planning and organizing process was outstanding—professional, responsive, and genuinely invested in making the event perfect. They made everything feel smooth and stress-free. During the event itself, the staff was amazing. The waiters were attentive, polite, and efficient, always checking in on guests and keeping everything running seamlessly. The bartender was fantastic—friendly, quick, and made great drinks all night. A big plus was the on-site security guard, which made everyone feel safe and comfortable throughout the event. The interior of the hall is beautiful and well maintained. The room temperature was perfect (which is so important for events), and everything was spotless and clean from the restrooms to the main hall. The last time I ate at this restaurant was when it was still called El Picante back in 1999. I remembered what a great family restaurant this was. Today (2025), passing through Bell Gardens, we decided to eat there. It has changed ownership and is now called Encanto. The food was as great as it was in 1999! Best ice tea in all of Bell Gardens! If your in the area, you can't go wrong. Supper friendly staff!

Their food was sooo good. Ive lived in South Gate since 1978, and have been passing this establishment for a very long time, deciding, FINALLY to go in and try their food. I will DEFINITELY be re returning. The food was delicious. And it had a homemade feel to it. The atmosphere and wait staff was was very professional and helpful as well. I recently visited the restaurant after learning it’s under new ownership, and I was pleasantly surprised! Upon entering, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff and the new owners. The food and service were great- I'll definitely be returning! While I was there, I discovered they have a hall next door available for special occasions, complete with catering services. If you’re in the mood for some good Mexican food, I highly recommend checking out this gem!
