I love a good, green, herb-filled falafel and this one was absolutely delicious. I found this place on a list of the best falafel in LA and it didn't disappoint. We also tried the fried chicken and it was such an interesting take! We loved it. There was nothing on the place I didn't like. The hummus was great, the salads and rice were good, there were pickled turnips (my favorite), a slightly spicy pickled pepper and some black olives. Just an overall fantastic plate. We got a look at the fries and they looked solid - need to get some next time.

10/10 recommend. So flavorful and delicious. It’s always busy and for good reason. My friend who joined me is vegetarian and said the falafel was to die for. My grilled chicken plate was perfect and the portions are great. Two meals in one!

We really, really enjoyed our meal from this trendy little spot in the heart of Atwater Village. I've never had such captivating Mediterranean food, both in terms of how it tasted and especially how pretty it looked. Portion sizes are very generous as well. This is a walk-up window only, and there is a smattering of sidewalk tables to eat at. We had our food to go and it remained delicious. Highly recommended! Note that it's pretty popular so you may want to order ahead to skip the wait.

Soooo good! Just like my brother-in-law makes! :-) Food came relatively quick and served to the nice little dining area outside. Bring a coat in the evening because the sun sets behind the building. Rosemary lemonade was a first for me and really nice!

I cannot recommend this place enough. The flavors are so bright, so complex, and so well balanced. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was just incredible. With all of the traditional fried chicken places opening around LA, this fresh Mediterranean take definitely deserves a look. When I went, they didn’t have any indoor seating; not sure how that will change as things reopen more and more. You order at the counter, and food comes out in about 10 minutes. They have outdoor seating (3-4 tables) on the sidewalk.

A simple and discreet, almost hidden place that serves sandwiches that you can hardly find anywhere else. All fresh, freshly prepared, with a good choice of Mediterranean cuisine and a price that may seem expensive but justifiable when you eat. The breaded chicken sandwich changed for me the sense of a chicken to exist, which could only be of immense respect and gratitude, because thanks to him, I was able to experience this wonder of gastronomy. It's all perfect, the bread, the breadcrumb, the sauce, the salad, everything! A very generous portion that will satisfy and makes you remind for life how a breaded chicken can be one of the best foods in the world. Tudo fresco, preparado na hora, com bos opções da cozinha mediterrânea e um preço que pode parecer caro, mas que se justifica quando você come. O sanduíche de frango empanado mudou para mim o sentido de um frango existir, que só poderia ser de imenso respeito e gratidão, já que graças à ele, eu pude experimentar esta maravilha da gastronomia. É tudo perfeito, o pão, a milanesa, o molho, a salada, tudo! Uma porção bem generosa, que vai te satisfazer e fazer você lembrar pelo resto da vida, como um frango empanado pode ser uma das melhores comidas do mundo. A huge fan of their other restaurant Elf in Echo Park, and Dune did not disappoint! The hummus & falafel plate was bomb (and a huge portion), and others at the table loved their fried chicken and lamb sandwiches. Very affordable for the quality.

the steak was pretty tough to chew and what saved it was the sauces that came with it. My friend’s fried chicken sandwich was incredible though and if I come here next time I would order that instead. Servers are quick and nice! Outdoor seating only which is great on a beautiful summer day.

I love Dune! I love their Pickled Beet Sandwiches and their Iced Tea, and their Cardamon Coffee! The food is always good, always. The reason I gave 'Atmosphere' 3 stars is because the tables were really sticky, and the chairs were all super wobbly and uncomfortable. It's too bad, because sitting and enjoying great food should be a comfortable experience. This Dune is located in a funky area of LA and it's filled with sights, sounds, and good people watching. There lots of eateries, a record store, clothing shops, and novelty shops. It was a gorgeous day, not too hot and not cold, and we were famished, so sitting in miserable, uncomfortable, wobbly metal chairs, and a sticky table was decidedly uncomfortable. We asked for a cleaning cloth, but it didn't come, so we didn't linger. All seating is outside. There isn't any seating inside. There are umbrellas for shade. There is street parking, metered parking, and a strip mall lot for parking.

Food is always incredible and Dune is clearly a beloved spot in Atwater and beyond. But where is the staff training? You never leave 4 in person guests waiting while you figure out some BS on Toast or doordash or whatever. I say this as a former restaurant manager. I waited 15 min before being acknowledged. Saying “hi, thanks for the patience. We will be right with you” goes a long way girlies. There was no acknowledgment of the wait when I finally did get help. I’m sure you’re short staffed- who isn’t right now? Always prioritize in person guests. My food had been ready for those 15 min while the staff was clearly overwhelmed and lacking support. do yall need to hire more people? I recently went out on a date at the Atwater location and had a mostly good experience: good service, good atmosphere, and they turned on the heater for us when it started getting cold. Overall, I have no complaints of the location itself aside from a not so great experience with the lamb sandwich. While eating I had no problems and the sandwich itself was very good, but it wasn't until later in the night that it did not agree with my stomach. I chopped this up to me not having had Mediterranean food in a while, but it wasn't until I discussed the meal with a friend the next day that they brought up the possibility of the lamb being undercooked that I had to re-evaluate if that may have been the case. It’s been a few days and I'm still not 100% yet. Overall not a bad experience, just a not so great outcome for an otherwise pleasant dining outing.

To be clear the food here is quite good and we’ve ordered several times and have been happy every time we go to pick up. The issue came the one time we decide to use DoorDash which I regret now in hindsight. The long and the short of it is that I did not receive an item that was supposed to be included in the order, a cardamom cold brew which sounds delicious to be honest. The treatment I received afterwards was dismaying to say the least. First, upon not receiving the item, I called the restaurant and was told by a friendly cashier that my credit would be forthcoming since he still remembered my order. Fast forward to two weeks later, still no credit, I called and was told to email and was told “good luck with that”, and still no credit. If you do order from this place, do yourself a favor and pick it up and make sure everything is there because they won’t be responding to any queries after that.
