I haven't had village pizza in a long time, but when I tasted that pizza WOW !!!! THE CRUST WAS WHAT I DREAMED OF PERFECT !!! THE PIZZA STILL IS THE BEST IN CAPITOL DISTRICT

Village pizza is very much a welcomed addition to Altamont. It is the best pizza you can get in the area for a decent price. Service was iffy when they first opened but it continues to improve every time I come in.

The food is amazing. Delivery is very fast. Worth the money. Very nice individuals that work there with great customer service. They are on 👉 point with the food.... Thank you 😀😀🤗🤗🍕🍗🍟🍝🍔🍦🍜🍤🥗🥘🍲

This place was excellent! I had the broccoli bread, which was excellent! It was basically pizza dough wrapped around broccoli and cheese! It was so good and dipped in marinara, it was even better. Also I shared a slice of pizza, and it was one of the best I have had! I wish I was not going hiking after I visited, so I could have had a whole pizza! The workers were also all very nice, and the owner even gave a hiking recommendation!

When we went into this restaurant the woman behind the counter was the most kind person I met in a long time she went through every single ingredient with us to make sure and verify that it was safe for my son to eat. She took the time and the effort to help us, when most people don't care at all. When we returned 3 months later she remembered us and remember exactly what he was allergic to. You can't beat customer service like that they are phenomenal

The man who runs this place is so friendly, outgoing, and welcoming. The pizza is what I had and the crust was thin with a bit of delightful chew to it, layered with delicious pizza sauce. I had cheese pizza and wish I had been more hungry for a second slice. There's a special here, I'm not sure how often; buy two slices, then the drink is complimentary! How often do you find Hawaiian punch in a can?! I was delighted. Bonus points for bins to recycle the cans and bottles

Great pizza pies, lots of variety, fresh meat, excellent cheese, almost like being in Rome. Well, ok, not quite, but really tasty

I always come in at the end of a long shift. This is the two slices and a soda place for me. Good ingredients, decent sauce, and I can get my slices on the way home. Their pies are good, and I order full pies frequently. Favorite pie in since I can remember is bacon and green peppers, but I learned not to do the green peppers part here due to one bad canned green peppers experience. Definitely wasn't worth tarnishing all the other great food they serve up, every other time I am there. They keep handling my needs just fine! Typical visits are between 7 and 9.

Really good pizza, good prices. Very happy with them. Haven't tried their other items, but I'm looking forward to doing so.

Quality has dropped. Being family owned I think they need to start to step up the quality a bit.

Don't order over the phone, they will get your order wrong. The food is really good but their prices are really expensive. Five dollars for one slice of white broccoli pizza is insane!

Nothing like flies flying around and landing on all of the food... Didn’t wear masks when I went to pick up a pizza one time. Pizza was burnt to a crisp. Ordered a thinner pizza and it was beyond soggy. Would not recommend.

I am done with this place, the owner needs to get their workers one the same page. Every time I call it is a different story with pricing. When the owner is working all online pricing match menu. When he is not their prices are like $5.00 more on average. Also, when I have ordered over the phone they take an order, and when I get there 20 mins later it's not even in the oven. Bad way to run a business.

My boyfriend used to work there and the manager bob would take the sauce that fell out with his thumb and put it back. Very unsanitary place. I would give it a zero if I could

Had problems with them before but decided to give them another chance, ordered a twelve cut he sells me an 8 cout round cut into 12 slices and to top it off it was burned..go back inside to let him know and he started arguing with me telling me it was my fault for not ordering a Sicilian.got a short refund by$8..started a fight with me outside, will never go back there again..thief

I got a pizza delivered to my house and all the cheese was off the top of the pizza and in the corner of the cardboard box. It’s not even eatable... very disappointing how I don’t even have the munchies after seeing that mess!

Ordered online. I asked for one sub to have no onions and the other no tomatoes. They both had tomatoes and no onions. No oil and vinegar was put on either sub. I asked for no cucumbers on the salad and they were put on. The sub rolls were tasty. Overall disappointing first time experience.

Waited a bit more than ten minutes for the lady to heat up TWO slices of pizza in the oven. Got the paper thin slices in my car and realized i need to eat over a bucket just to not ruin my shirt with your grease.

Tried calling to order a large pizza for pickup and was immediately placed on hold. Waited on hold for 5 min then hung up and tried again. Call went straight to voicemail the next two tries, then finally got through. Placed my order and was told a half hour wait. Seemed a little long, but fine. Showed up a half hour later and the store was completely empty (I expected it to be busy with all the waiting and holding I did). I was then told that it's in the oven and it'd be 7-8 more minutes. Waited another 15 and finally got my pizza. Mediocre pizza, not nearly with the effort.

will never again buy from this place I ordered my food was told 45 minutes delivery time it took an hr 20 mins when the food got here the girl handed me the pizza sideways the Box of wings was crushed the order was wrong the pizza was cold I then decided to call spoke to the owner to see if I can get some kind of money reimbursed and he did nothing but yell over the phone and disrespect me. So I have had Village Pizza's subs for awhile and they are very good so I decided to try their dinners . Very disappointed !! I had the chicken parm and got an uncooked piece of chicken and I don't know what happened to the Ziti but it looked like it went through a shredder , it was all tiny little pieces . So I might order subs from there again but never dinner

I'd give it half a star if I could. The food abysmal. The service needs work. It's embarrassing when you get your food and it was undercooked. And it's embarrassing when all I see is what I can presume to be the owner screaming at staff. Wasn't going to post this I went in for a second shot, Because everyone does have an off night. But when I went in for slices the amount of grease, the lack of flavor was absolutely disgusting. We are New York we are supposed to be known for our pizza not give it a bad name.

I spoke with a woman on the phone. I've told her I'd like to order for a delivery and she flatly ignored everything I said asking me over and over again what I said. I told her what I said one more time. She asked me what was my card number and I told her. she didn't listen. she asked for it again and I told her the number slower. she told me that my card had been declined so I said I'll see what's wrong and I'll call back. I never called back because I was irritated by her attitude to begin with. so I call the other Pizza shop from right across the street from Village pizza and ordered ther same exact thing and BOOM my card when through... I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN AND I WILL MAKE SURE MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY DOESN'T EITHER.

On those occasions I started receiving my pizza barely warm. The 2nd time I even asked the driver if he was sure this was hot because the box was lukewarm. He assured me it was. Well, it wasn't. The following week I decided it would be back to picking it up. While I was waiting, I mentioned to the girl about the cold pizzas and the owner was there. He apologized and offered to give me my pizza for free. I told him I was not looking to get a free pizza, I just was wondering why my pizza would be cold, especially when I lived so close. So we agreed he was going to take $5.00 off of my pizza. Well, when they handed me the pizza, I checked and it was not what I ordered. I ordered half pepperoni and the "other" had mushroom. This pizza had both toppings on one side and just cheese on the other side. The owner said that they would make another one right away. So, I waited. The owner ask where I lived and I told him and he asked me to give them another chance and I said I would. Ok, the next 2 weeks the pizza was great. Delivered hot. I didn't mind the 1 hour wait as long as it was good. Then week 3, the other driver delivered me a pizza that was just like it was before. I told him that it didn't feel very hot and he said he just took it out of the bag and it was hot, as he walked away. Well, as soon as I got it in the house and opened the cover, I felt it and it was cold. I called Village Pizza and told the girl that I just had it delivered again and it was cold. I told her that I probably would not be ordering from there again and she said "Ok". So now I get out a pizza pan to heat it up and as I went to take the slices out of the box, I find that it is also burnt on the bottom. I called back and the girl put the owner on the phone. He said "It's cold and burnt?" I assured him it was. He said they would make another one and bring it and swap it. So It was close to 1hr and 45mins to finally get a hot pizza. The one problem was almost as dark as the first one. I guess I have to go back to picking up from Inferno, Paesans, or Marissa's and go back to just heating it up when we get home.

Since my first encounter it has gone downhill fast, forgetting items, rude employees, not being acknowledged when you walk in the door. 3 weeks ago I ordered around $20 in food for delivery as I was on bedrest, I was so happy to have someone deliver to my house in Berne I made sure to give a great tip. I gave them permission to charge $50 on my card. My husband and I order takeout frequently, sadly we will no longer order from this place. Their manager "Bob" was also rude to my husband when he called about yet another incorrect order. The concept of hometown, friendly, local business is completely lost of this place. We will stick with Fox Creek Market since their food and staff are far superior.

The steak and cheese sub was extremely dry and didn’t come with any of the condiments that I had requested. It was literally just the meat and the cheese which looked like it was just microwaved and tossed on a sub roll.The other sub was a meatball sub which was also extremely dry with basically no sauce and the cheese wasn’t melted at all. The jalapeño bites looked like they had just been taken out of the freezer and dropped in oil to the point that the inside was cold, but full of oil when I bit into it. Finally, the curly fries were on par with store bought frozen ones and the loaded toppings on them tasted funky like the ingredients might not have been very fresh.

I keep trying to give this place chances but they honestly are terrible. For the most part staff is friendly but the food is AWFUL! The jalepeno poppers weren't even cooked all the way were still dry(I'm assume the fryer was too hot). My husband and I both ordered buffalo chicken salads and there was barely any chick on it. It consisted of a ton of lettuce, onions, dry OLD TASTING black olives and like 1 of their tiny boneless wings cut up. This place is a mess, I've ordered several times considering they are one of the only places in town to eat and they have been consistently TERRIBLE and LOW QUALITY every single time. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! I ASSURE YOU, YOUD RATHER EAT DOG FOOD THAN WHATEVER THEY MAKE!

It was a horrible experience. I don't ever plan on ordering from there nor will i be recommending that place to any of my friends. The beef patty was cold. Half of the fried mushrooms was burnt like it was left over from another order and added to my order and the antipasto salad was nasty. Tje meat was changing color and the tomatoes were bad.
