As far as dive bars go this is supreme… except it is more of a diner than bar, but they got beer and plenty of it. We were recommended this place and drove significantly out of our way for the experience and it was well worth it. Quick attentive service and super delicious burgers. If you do nothing else the rest of your life stop here. Yep.
Awesome spot for lunch! Very tasty burgers and cheese fries. Loved how fresh the burgers were. Stop on in for a wonderful meal.
Awesome burgers! Don't let the outside fool you! Food was off the chain, service was wonderful!!! 5 stars
Don’t pass this unique cafe a little off the path. The parking lot sets off a feel of a west Texas cattle pin, then you step into the cafe, couch to look at, lots of history! The service was top notch. The grill is well seasoned and the hamburgers have great flavor! You can’t hardly fine homemade French fries anymore. They were a great surprise. Don’t pass this cafe up, you won’t be disappointed!
Ate at Coyote Bluff Cafe and I get why people talk about it. It’s got that “local hidden spot” vibe—nothing fancy, just a small, loud place that’s all about burgers. My burger came out huge, juicy, and cooked right, and the toppings actually tasted fresh. Fries were hot and salty (in a good way). Service was friendly, but it’s a tight space, so it can feel crowded and the wait depends on the rush. If you want a real, no-frills burger stop, this one delivers.
This place was recommended to us from the staff at the Cadillac Ranch Gift Shop.. and we are happy to report that it was an excellent recommendation.. Parking lot was filled upon our arrival but we were only quoted a 10 minute wait for 2. . You could smell the quality of the burgers from outside and it was oh so appetizing. Our waitress seemed to be the only one on staff for the moment but she was hustling and taking care of the patrons that began pouring in for the evening rush. We got our food in a timely manner and I don’t think I could’ve found a better tasting burger in Amarillo. Bacon burger with jalapeños and extra pickles. YUM! And the chili cheese fries half order is the perfect portion for 2. The house salad was also a good palette cleanse. . I wish I had 2 stomachs , so I could try another specialty burger! 5 out of 5 stars all around.
"Mmmhmmmm, this is a tasty burger!! If you like burgers give 'em a try. I can't usually get 'em myself because my girlfriend's a vegetarian which pretty much makes me a vegetarian." The Hell Burger and fries were absolutely great. Friendly service and great vibe inside. This will be my go-to spot when passing through town from now on.
Wow! This little café might be small, but it packs a huge punch! The vibe is off the charts — every corner has character and that wild, rustic charm you can’t fake. The food? Absolutely incredible. The service? Fast, friendly, and full of personality. A total hidden gem that’ll blow your taste buds away!
Interesting little spot! Stopped in for a cheeseburger and fried pickles while passing through and really, really enjoyed the cheeseburger. The place is pretty small and filled up quick but we didn't feel cramped or rushed. Some guests were asked to wait in their cars until a table was ready because there's no room to wait inside, but none appeared to wait very long.
Pretty impressive place for no bigger than it is. The chili cheese fries come out on a pizza pan and it is more than 2 of us could eat for one order. Then they hit you with a 1/2 pound burger that is second to none. Excellent food, outstanding service and incredible building/house. Get comfy with who you came with, you are going to sit nice and close, happily I love sitting so close to my wife, and don’t expect to take in all the decorations at once. Reading the dollar bills on the wall would take quite some time.
Open the door to the Coyote Bluff Cafe and step back into a time when burgers and fries were great. Thick patties, toppings your way, great bun choices (try the onion!) and amazing house-cut fries (mix some of the house hot sauce in with your ketchup for a little extra kick.) Absolute gem of a place, conveniently located just off I-40. Best Burger I've had in a while, and it was five bucks cheaper than what you'll get at Five Guys. Plus the old West vibe is all-time.
Best burgers in town hands down. The mushroom and Swiss burger is the best I've ever eaten in my life ❤️! Don't skip on the💗 cheese fries💗 but you can change out your hamburger patty for a crispy chicken breast!!! or grilled chicken breast!!! at no extra charge!!!!! 👍 The drinks are huge they're closed on Monday and Sunday. This is a place you go to if you want to get full. Every tradesman for the past 50 years has got full here! Pictured is the green chile burger and a regular fry
This place is the epitome of a diamond in the rough! From the outside you’d pass it right by…but when you do you are truly missing out! From the minute you walk in the service, atmosphere, and smell of the food take you to an eclectic, western, rugged, bar off the back streets feel. With a tub full of beer bottles and a chalk board with the modest food selection you ask yourself what you just got yourself into. Then that food comes and dang was I glad I came! The steak had a perfect outer crust and was cooked just how I ordered it! And man those fries — fresh hand cut fries, chili, cheese, green chili peppers and homemade ranch. Dang good food! This place has almost convinced me I need to be careful about passing up places that are rough on the outside, because what I might find on the inside just might be worth the stop!
We stopped in on our way to ABQ from STL. I can totally recommend the Green Chili Burger, the fries and the onion rings. My son loved his Burger from Hell, but I did have to make a midnight run to a convenience store to get him some Tums. He said it was worth it though. Really felt like Texas and not a tourist trap feeling at all. Plenty of locals having dinner there with us.
Always a great burger and fries!!! Been going for years. Great service and crunchy and fun atmosphere.

, I probably haven’t eaten there in 10 years but it was wonderful then and I hear it’s wonderful now I always had the ribeye with the string fries and an ice cold tall neck beer
Friendly staff, fast service, decent food. Even though there was a wait, the staff got food out quickly. Food was good, not anything special, but was a fun atmosphere.

This is a quaint Route 66 oldie eatery experience. Whole place is decorated with unique old-time stuff, I being an immigrant to this country, I don't really understand what it is but generally feel curious about the atmosphere. Service was friendly and people were all nice even though the tables and chairs were all kind of small. The place was packed. Only the food was a bit too salty. We ordered fried stuffed jalapenos, red chilli and a traditional burger. Everything tasted a bit saltier than we like. Maybe it was just our taste. A fun stop-by culturally.
One of the best burgers I've had anywhere. Would definitely go again. Just wish it was in a better building that didn't feel like it was about to cave in. The bathroom is also *horrible* and should be avoided. Zero access if you're on even slightly disabled. Good luck finding a parking spot in the dirt parking lot.
I like this place. It's a bit rustic, but it works. Old fashioned, which just means a more handmade look and feel for the burgers, an ice cold beer from the tub, hand cut fries. Same wait staff, sa…

Great alternative to the Big Texan. Burgers are huge and delish. Service is efficient and friendly. I took one star off because the fun ambiance comes at the price of cleanliness.
No it's not a set for a Stephen King movie. It's a run down relic of days gone by. The joint lost its luster decades ago, but the food is mediocre. Boss lady and I were driving through town and believed all the hype. The joint is small, dirty, and the floors uneven but that's what makes this joint appealing to some. I ordered a chili cheese bacon burger and she a regular cheeseburger. They tasted ok, nothing overwhelming. As some reviewers have commented, their patties are overcooked and dry. The fries and onion rings were good. One and done. There are better burger joints to visit.
Popped in last week, took my meal to go. Burger was delicious, but my fries were soggy and smelly made me nauseous.
Muddy parking lot! Little bit pricey for Amarillo. Good burgers, not enough chilly or cheese. Fries okay but greasier than I like. Service friendly and quick. beer is cold.
Ive had burgers from here before but have never been able to actually make it in. So i was really looking forward to this visit, and I was let down. The burgers were, ok. The fries unfortunately were really greasy and overcooked. I wouldn't recommend this place, at least not for the price you pay for a meal.
Jam packed, rude waitress, mediocre food. We waited at least 15 minutes for a pick up order because the waitress was busy. Our food was literally sitting on the counter and was paid for. We asked t…
