Honestly, some of the absolute best Mexican food I have ever had. Never been disappointed with my choice. Particularly love the chicken flats, sopa, and chicharron taco. Everyone here is so nice!
Ordered the steak quesadilla and fajitas at the recommendation from the staff. Was not disappointed. Food was excellent and staff was welcoming and friendly. Will definitely go back.
The food was so amazing that I wish I lived closer to Amarillo!!!! The prices were reasonable. I got the flautas plate and my friend got the taco plate. They both exceeded our expectations and this gringa definitely recommends eating here for tasty Mexican food.
One of my favorite places, it's a tradition to go every Sunday for brunch. The staff knows us quite well and are very friendly, Cozy and good prices along with great food. And I love the Flan. Thank you everyone at Mimi's
Really great food. Do not let the facade discourage you. Owners were very nice and by far some of the best authentic Mexican food I've ever had. Also very reasonable prices.
My Husband and I just loved the food so much...I definitely recommend everyone to stop by and be the judge of it but 10/10🥰❤️
One of my favorite places in Amarillo, has some of the best menudo. Fredy and his staff are friendly and real courteous, my kids I eat there at least once a week. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Customer service was great. We orders 3 babacoa tacos, 1 carne asada taco, a pambazo, and tacos de flautas. Lord when I tell you that the tacos are out of this world. Meat is beautifully seasoned and tender, the tortillas for the tacos are small but the amount of meat giving makes up for it. Even while having a small tortilla the meat to tortilla ratio is perfect. The Pambazo is big, and so delicious. The flautas were amazing as well. Overall this is a hole in the wall place you do not want to miss out on. 8/10
Finally, a place in Amarillo that serves limonada natural. Salsa aguacate is divine. Defiantly gonna eat here at least twice a month from now on. Chefs kiss!!
Delicious! I ordered the Goridita plate. One with barbacore and one with chicken both were delicious... the rice and beans were cook to perfection. I would love to try their menudo
Went there for the 1st time today. The food was wonderful!!! I will go back and will also tell friends and family about this place. The people were very nice and respectful.
Awesome tacos, was exactly what i was looking for no paying for food you dont want as in places that only sell it by the plate with rice n beans! This place has great prices n food with great flavor!!
Best food in Amarillo. Great people very nice. Good prices. 100% homemade authentic mexican food made from scratch.
One of the best resturants in Amarillo and I've been to a few other places. Mimis is exquisite! Thank you p.s. if your a pepperhead you'll like the hot sauce
Place has very great food! Decent prices and a very calm atmosphere!!! Will definitely go again!!
Totally authentic, right off the interstate and super delicious! Friendly staff and nice vibe too.It could be helpful to at least know how to read a little bit of Spanish here.
They have the best authentic tasting chicken sopes I have ever had very delicious and very good authentic taste i will be going back
Delicious chocolate flan, super sope, and yummy huevos rancheros. Charming atmosphere, great staff. Can't wait to come again!

A quiet unassuming place with great authentic Mexican food. The staff is great and the service fast. I have eaten here a few times and each time the meal gets better. They have beer and a lot of other goodies like ice pops. Well worth the trip.
Great place,Has a juke box!!! Kids and wife loved it Personally recommend the green chilaquiles NOT EXPENSIVE GREAT FOOD!!
The people were really nice and the Chiliquilles were great! It felt like home. I'm so thankful for Mexican food, it's my comfort food.
We had steak and chicken tacos. This is athletic Mexican food. You will love the food. As often goes with local food it looked like we didn't want to eat there. Because of the look of the building. But we don't like eating at chains when on vacation. So glad the wife said we're eating here. You won't be disappointed with the food!
Loveeddd the Michelada!!! And the food we ordered was great. I’m coming back for some micheladas
On the road and Mimi’s hit the spot! An authentic Mexican restaurant. Seriously. The. Best. Food.
We had the taco plate, and ordered more tacos! The flautas and the quesadillas (sincronizada) are awesome also!
Great authentic Mexican food! I love this place!!
Omg (as my daughter used to say), this place rocks! We’re driving from Ohio to AZ & picked this restaurant based on reviews. Staff was as friendly as the quality of the food. Really 10 stars!!

I've never been inside the restaurant, but they set up a taco truck in the parking lot at night. I've sampled a lot of the taco trucks in Amarillo, and these guys are my favorite. I recommend the pastor or adabada, and their green hot sauce it's spicy and tastes good.
First time there little hole-in-wall and the people that work there were so nice and courteous. I ordered several different things. There Menudo is very good, but so is everything else I am actually going again this Sunday, they definitely have our business.
Gorditas and menudo are delicious. Staff is friendly and service oriented ☺️
Great staff, great food, great prices
They have very good Soft Tacos especially with their lemon squeeze into them it gives them a more unique/exquisite taste.
Honestly, Mimi’s is so underrated! I wouldn’t ever go to another Mexican restaurant! Love the people, the service, the food! The flautas always come out so perfect! & at night … the tripas always are so golden & crispy! Gosh! 10/10! Obsessed! Thank you Mimi’s!
We got plates to go from the truck out front. Everything was good, the salsa was definitely spicy. The beans had a kick to them also so not very kid friendly. I got the Gordita’s place and ate every last bit. I got the flautas for the kids and they enjoyed it. We also ordered the pambazo and the enchiladas and it was all good. I also got the nut licuado and it was amazing. I’d definitely come back next time we pass through.

We have been there a handful of times and has not disappointed once. We've taken a few friends to eat there and everyone agrees, this place is goooooood.... Yup,it's safe to say this is our "New Spot" Try it,you'll like it too.
Read bad reviews, but traveling through, staying across the street for the night, I tried a burrito and a cheese enchiladas plate. It's better than average. <$20 for both. People were friendly.
Good food, great service. ASIDE from the table of drunk college kids loudly cussing and singing/screaming the dixie chicks at the top of their lungs and making my infant cry.. We enjoyed our experience.
The food was surprisingly good. The place was clean . The service was terrible. They were not busy at all, and we still waited 7-10 minutes for 3 drinks. Had to go back to the counter and ask for hot sauce and felt like a total inconvenience to the ladies working there the whole time we were there.

The food is not as good as it looks. The flavor of the beef for tacos is very lacking like meat cooked with no salt and not super fresh, the pork for gorditas was highly spiced to taste like chorizo which I don't want unless I'm eating chorizo. The chips are ok but cold, the green sauce is right for tomatillo and avocado but it's thinned So much it's consistency is like water... The refried beans were also Very thin and runny but the taste was decent. As well the rice was decent and good mixed with the beans. The menudo was pretty good, especially with more lime and salt, but too much hominy for me. Came with pigs foot if you like that but my husband doesn't and asked not to have it but still got it. He prefers more tripe. The staff was very friendly. The seating was in need of refreshing. The plates were a little high for what it is, but not much different than others places. The drinks were way too high, but that's the trend now.

Waitress was nice but was the only one working my eggs was over cook had little bit brownish color and look like flat like a pancake and the actual pancakes well it will feed a 1 yr old it was smaller than a size of a coffee lid and super thin would not go there again there
I'll never be back again!!! The lady ripped off the prices of my receipt & my meal was $34 for 3 people. Didn't have prices on the food.Like how am I supposed to know how much was this plate and over here charging me $34. To me it seemed like a rip off.
BE CAREFUL…I had the cabana torta sandwich. The problem is there’s no pricing listed anywhere. So I grabbed a simple drink out of the fridge sat down and ate my dinner. When I got up to pay for my meal she had listed my sandwich and drink for $16 and some change. It seemed a little expensive. So I guess the sandwich was $12 and my drink was four dollars. Make sure you ask her what your tabs gonna be before you order your meal

I'm sorry to say cause I usually never leave bad reviews but the flautas were gross and bland. The hot sauce was just too hot no flavor.

We had a late lunch there yesterday and it was a big disappointment. The food was cold and dry they didn’t bring everything we ordered at the same time they brought one plate at a time and then silverware then napkins. They brought some green salsa in a squeeze bottle it tasted just like wasabi it looked like grounded up pulp it was disgusting. None of it was good. We paid 45.00 for two people. I felt we we were overcharged and the service and food was poor. Will not be going back ever.
It was very clean but it is very dark inside. Came in with three kiddos and ordered three small plates of rice and beans, one quesadilla alone, a pambaso and two enchilada plates. The food was okay but it was super spicy. The kids couldn’t eat the beans because they were very spicy. The pambaso was also spicy and so were enchiladas. I believe the food would have been better if they had less spicy on them, it’s nice to an extent. It was also very expensive, $54 but we also got drinks. I recommend this place if you like eating in the dark with a spiced up mouth. Also, there’s only one bathroom and the soap was gain dish soap lol.
This place isn't much for drive up appeal but the reviews looked good so I decide to try it. 1st thing I notice is that it's July and there's a Christmas tree still painted on the front glass door. There is a little store there that sells guitars and jello molds hats shampoo, Some food items. perfume, cologne. There was a guy sitting at a table on his 12th beer the other 11 bottles still sitting on his table. You have to go to the counter to order your food and get your drink out of a box I got a beer and it was lukewarm, the food is passable but nothing to write home about The guy that was drinking all the beers got up at one point went to the little store and got a jar of what look like some pickled eggs
Went there this morning, and the lady was rude, asked for breakfast burritos and was told they didn't have any and then looked at the menu and seen that they had breakfast burritos. Then took over and 30 minutes to make our order and to make it worse the food was awful. First and last time we eat there.
