First time to try the food here and we were not disappointed! We had the chicken fry with mashed potatoes, jalapeño gravy and okra. Best chicken fry I've had in a long time! We also had the filet mignon with loaded baked potato and Mac n cheese. The steak was cooked perfectly Medium. We will definitely be back to try more menu items!

My husband and I love this place, second time here I ordered the Ribeye (Best ever so flavorful each bite makes you want some more. My Husband had the Chuckwagon, Chicken fried Steak he said was delicious love they serve it on a Cutting Board. The atmosphere is so great, people happy there employees to guest. We sat the bar and the Bartender was so great sorry do t have a name but she was very attentive to your needs. The food amazing cannot wait to be here again when in the area.

Before anybody gets thrown off by the price, I put on here that is because it depends on what you're spending and normally that is how much was spent per person, what does it necessarily mean b place is expensive. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were surprised by this place that is attached to it. So we decided to grab food, to eat and some drinks, and that's when we found out they were going to have tejano night Sunday so we came back again. Overall, compared to the prices, you would normally pay in Dallas. The drinks here were very well priced and worth it along with the food that we ordered and definitely would come here again if we were in the area. Not to mention our server Rene made the experience well worth it.

The food was fantastic! The nachos were pretty good for an appetizer, The smokin gun was especially great, it did have a bit of a sizzle when it came to spiciness, Husband said the Tabacco Jack was excellent, son ordered a steak a ordered it med rare instead of med well, lol he said it was good, but the more in the center, the more chewier it became. The service was great and the atmosphere was perfect.

We had an incredible dining experience at the Western Horsemen Club in Amarillo! I had the ribeye with bone marrow—perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. My son-in-law also had the ribeye and loved it. My son’s sirloin, my wife’s filet, and my daughter’s fettuccine alfredo were all spot-on, and my other daughter raved about the chicken fried chicken. We started with the catfish bites, nachos, and potato skins—every appetizer was well-executed and delicious. The service was top-notch, the atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and the food was outstanding across the board. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a great meal in a lively setting!

What an amazing place!! Great food, great service and wonderful atmosphere! Live music on stage! I had the Ribeye Luge, awesome steak. It comes with a giant split open bone with the marrow and seasonings roasted inside! Delicious. It also comes with a shot of excellent 10 year whiskey that you pour down the center of the bone, once you have eaten it hollow. Great experience that everyone should try! Made the whiskey very mellow! Had several cocktails, all wonderful. Had the creme brulee and it was also delicious. The only sour note was the appetizer. It said burnt ends, but it was just chunks of steak cut up and put in BBQ sauce. OK, but not burnt ends.... The band was great! Karen was the singer, such a sultry voice. Zach was the saxophone player and he SHREDDED that thing! Wonderful night out!!!

Came here to eat with some good friends for dinner. I think we definitely liked the food and thought the service was good. It’s nice to see another fine dine restaurant in town to accompany the drunken oyster and metropolitan. Overall I think that this was a great place to eat. The only downside, which I won’t downgrade the rating for, is the music. The music at the time we went was loud enough that I couldn’t hear the person next to me. This made it difficult to talk and converse with my friends. If you’re into loud music for the majority of your time, then this is your place. If you’re wanting to have some conversation and have low to no music, you might look elsewhere.

This place is amazing. It's something different. When you walk in, you are greeted at the door. Got an old time fell with a little bit of class. Not your normal bar. I came in here to get some food. I had the trail boss burger. Cooked to perfection. I even let it sit for a minute while I was talking to my server. She is amazing as well. As all of the servers are. If you are a truck drive, they do have parking in the back of the hotel. But you will have to bobtail in. But if you are looking for a great place to just kick back and enjoy some music while you eat, this is a must stop in place. If you are looking for a romantic kind of place, it's that kind of place to. I will be back

While staying in the hotel attached, me and my fiancé thought we’d give it a try. Food was AMAZING and service was even better. We had Kortlin as our waitress and she went above and beyond. We never went without. We got the Western Burnt Ends, and the Chuckwagon Taters both were so good! For main course we got the Pickle Rick Pizza, as a pickle lover i couldn’t be more impressed. Drinks were cold and strong. We will definitely be back!

Food was delicious. The filet mignon was 10/10. We also got the clydesdale burger which was huge! The mac and cheese was very creamy & the catfish bites were also incredible. A bit pricey but depends on what you get. Definitely worth it. Service was quick could have been because we were one of the few there since it was late on a weekday. Definitely will come again if given the opportunity.

Food was fantastic. Price per person really does depend on what you are getting. The steak was ~$40 but burgers are ~$16. The steak I got was amazing, I would have gotten another if we hadn't come in so late. Service was wonderful and drinks were well priced. They have live music often as well. The fact this was attached to the hotel is wonderful. 10/10 I would stay at the Cactus Cove again just to stop by here.

We tried this place out for brunch.. it was excellent! Customer service was 5 star! The bottomless mimosas were delicious! Just keep in mind that every refill is $1. The boys hadn't tried the calf fries, but they enjoyed them! The chicken Fried steak was soo yummy! My son enjoyed the hangover burger.. he loved the egg on top! We also enjoyed live music.. this place doesn't disappoint! We'll definitely come back!

The Western Horseman Club has been around since 1983, but closed due to Covid. In November of 2023, it was remodeled and reimagined by Amarillo’s most innovative Chef - Rory. Rory is the mastermind behind Savor and my favorite Drunkin Oyster. The WHC caters tourists with the cow print chairs and cowboy hats. The menu has everything from a $140 Tomahawk Steak to a $12 pizza called the Holstein. They have dance lessons, Prime Rib in Mondays, and brunch Saturday and Sunday. I came in Sunday at 11am and planned on a steak, but the server suggested the breakfast burrito since they weren’t prepped for dinner. Visually, the burrito was on the small size (normal size for normal standards) and the plating was not what I’d expect. I was also disappointed that the entire brunch menu had to be read from the server. Not a huge issue, but I would have opted for a steak if I’d know I’d known the price. The burrito was good! Homemade tortilla, fresh salsa, sausage, bacon, potato and cheese. I don’t know if the spice came from the burrito or the salsa but it had a kick. The WHC pushes their extensive whiskey menu so after brunch is sat at the bar for a glass of whisky. I’d enjoyed whisky in Scotland the prior week and was interested what the bartender could tell me about their selection. After a couple unanswered questions the manager stepped in and suggested the Jefferson Aged at Sea which was absolutely exquisite. Rivaled everything I tasted in the home country. Although the bartender was green, my server was awesome. Nice kid, respectful, happy to serve, calm demeanor. My only disappointment was the price. Burrito - $19 Irish Coffee -$12 Single Whiskey - $19. That’s a bit steep for a burrito.

Been here a couple of times now. Food is always fantastic (as to be expected as the owner’s other restaurants are in town are also delicious). 1st visit was great, just two of us; food and service spot on as well all around. 2nd round, the found again was fantastic. Our server was in training working alongside another member of the staff - both friendly. It wasn’t terribly busy, we had a 5 top. I would have given 5 vs 4 stars however, the only reason I’m rating 4 is because of two things. Mainly, our entrees did not come out together so that was a little disappointing . I believe proper timing is important at any restaurant whether fine dining or casual. The second ding was my wife and I ordered two more drinks when our desert came out which we unfortunately, never did receive. The check was delivered in its place. We weren’t charged for those but we still wanted to hang out and visit a little longer. Now, this will not stop me from going back by any means. However, there is some room for improvement. Still, a great place!

My friend ordered the catfish and I ordered a ribeye. The catfish was soggy in the middle so we sent it back to fry a bit. Was still soggy when it came back. They ribeye was ordered medium rare and it was still mooing but I ate it anyway. It had good flavor just not cooked to order. Our waiter was nice but he just kind of ditched us for a bit. I had to go to the bar to get another tea for my friend. The atmosphere was nice. We enjoyed the music. Just wish we had a better experience with the food.

Really wanted to try the calf fries. They could not come up with cocktail sauce like the rest of the world. Band practice sounded great, but then they left to start back at 10. The place was dead. Tried the calf fries with their "donkey sauce" and a flat draft Coors. I'll give them a D- We left and went to the Big Texan for calf fries with cocktail sauce like the rest of the world.

No salt and pepper on table. Had to request. No crackers or croutons with salad. Blue cheese dressing was runny and not much taste. Steak good! Backed potatoes over cooked. Outside was hard. No bread or rolls available. It was Valentine weekend. The server never offered the soecial drinks or the Valentine dinner package. The experience was mediocre.. The mason jar glasses were appropriate nice for a nice Valentine dinner.

When we first ate here about a year ago it was excellent! Great food and great service. We’ve been 3 more times and each time it has been progressively worse. A few nights ago we spent $99 on microwaved baked potatoes and a steak that was ok- more like a chain restaurant quality steak. Beers are also served room temp. We kept giving it another chance because we love going to watch the bands. No more dinners for us - but the entertainment is a lot of fun.

Bought concert tickets and a dinner table reservation for this concert 3 weeks in advance. Got there and the table they put us at was behind a wall, behind and around a corner from the stage. Absolutely zero visibly to the stage, even as a “VIP” table! (First pic is the view from the table.) Did not go there for the food but made reservations to have a table. The table fee was $100 to keep the table throughout the concert to have somewhere to sit. I was upset that I had to pay $100 for a table that could not even see the stage. Talked to Mike, the manager, and he told me that he would move us to a better table where we could see the stage. We offered to tip the waitress generously for moving tables. He absolutely lied to our face. Made our poor waitress come back to tell us he would not move us, even though tables were still open/unseated. Never saw Mike again. HORRIBLE MANAGER. We told the waitress that we would not pay the table fee since we would have to stand the whole time in order to even see anyway. Which was exactly what we were trying to avoid by planning this weeks in advance. Since we didn’t have a table in a convenient spot I went to the bar to get drinks. Had to fight my way through all of the people mounted up at the bar watching the concert - just to find the manager laughing it up at the back of the bar. Amazing concert by Josh Weathers, horrible service by the venue. I will pass on any future concerts there!!!! BAD MANAGEMENT!

So disappointed. Usually love this place and this time it was so bad we will never be back. First we had an early dinner before a show, place was empty and they sat us in the very back next to the kitchen door. The door to the hotel was open and kids were running up and down the hall totally killed the mood. Waiter brought my husband a bottle when he ordered draft. They were out of coconut bourbon so I couldn’t get a buckle bunny. Ordered steak on the Mac and cheese and it was super fatty. Then he charged us $5 because we split a plate without even a warning. Service sucked. Food was giving Logan’s on a Tuesday. We will never go back or recommend again.

Had a reservation for 2 people. Was told $75 per person for 3 course meal. We were put at a wobbly table. Appetizer was good. Salad was an absolute joke. Ordered steak with crab legs and chicken with potatoes. When they brought the food we were told no crab crackers were available (so the crab legs were not eaten). Chicken was all bone and tendons (got 3 small bites off of it) and the potatoes were completely flavorless. Asked for the check and saw a “large party surcharge” of 20% (so $30) added on to the bill. Our server was very sweet and felt awful she couldn’t help. Complete waste of a good night was spent here.

I got the chicken fried steak and my wife got the sirloin. I was hearing from many people how it’s the best chicken fry in town. It was very bland, not much flavor at all and the mashed potatoes were lumpy with little to no flavor as well. The sirloin had a good smokey flavor and the mac and cheese was ok. Brussels sprouts were done well but my wife preferred them more to anything else. I ordered an iced tea to go with my meal and when we got the ticket, its was $8 for iced tea!!! Won’t be going back.

I will never go here again. I drove all the way from Phoenix, Arizona to Texas—an 8-hour drive—and planned a fun dinner at Western Cowboy Club. Their website said they take dinner reservations until 11:30 PM and close at 2:00 AM, so I booked a reservation and made the long drive. I arrived at 10:56 PM, exhausted, only to be told the kitchen was already closed. I even told the long-haired employee that I had a reservation—he just shrugged and didn’t seem to care at all. No apology, no explanation, nothing. Thankfully, I found The Drunken Oyster nearby and it completely saved the night. The food was fantastic and the service was incredible. Maybe this review won’t matter to them, and no one will respond, but I’m leaving it anyway. With how I was treated and the false reservation window, I absolutely DO NOT recommend this place.
