We hosted a memorial service here on Saturday afternoon Aug 2, 2025 for 20+ relatives. Rowdy set us up in a separate dining room so we had plenty of privacy. Emily did a fantastic service job and the brunch/lunch selections were all well prepared & tasty. Absolutely no complaints and we are very appreciative of the courtesy & service from the entire staff. Thanks for making a pleasant memorable experience! Side note: their Sat/Sun brunch is excellent & great selection of food!

Celebrated our 15 year anniversary at X Steakhouse. The service and management team made it very special. Brooklyn was our server. She was amazing!! The steak melted in your mouth and the drinks were top shelf. Great place for any occasion.

Let's start with the bar layout.. modern, chill, great music, not too loud(went at 11am on a Wed😉). They had Friends playing on TV. The tables weren't too close. Our server, Maria, was awesome. I asked her to add more cheese to the asparagus/spinach dip and she just brought a new one. The smothered chicken was the best I've had..I had brandy sauce added. Their cokes are good; most restaurants fail at that. The water served was not from the tap. Thanks for that😊😊Overall, a win!

Last night, my fiancé and I ate here to celebrate my birthday. Until this point I hadn’t been able to try any of the triad of restaurants (Cada Vez, Metropolitan-A Speakeasy, and X-Steakhouse) found in the middle of town square village. First to start off, we had stuffed Jalapeños with a glass of Primus Wine and a Caramel Apple Sangria. For our main course I had the Shrimp Platter while my fiancé had the Sweet Chili Glazed Salmon with a White Chocolate Pumpkintini and a Pomegranate Martini. Overall, we loved the food. The portion sizes were big for how much the food costs. Not only that but the food was cooked really well and were delicious. You will definitely be satisfied with the food for what you will pay for. Another tidbit, if you go and want to drink, definitely try the cocktails. They are every bit as delicious as they’re look being described in the cocktail menu. So definitely try the cocktails. You won’t be disappointed. Next time we go, we will definitely have to go specifically for the steaks since their steaks come from beef locally raised since Amarillo is the heart of the Beef and Cattle Industry in the US. In addition, the staff is very friendly and very helpful.

Dinner Rolls served with every meal, Prime Rib Soup so delicious I wanted more, Salmon Oscar could have used a tad more sauce but very yummy overall and Filet Steak w/ Diane Sauce…left too stuffed for dessert but will be back…friendly staff that worked together as a team making the whole experience lovely

This steakhouse sits in a planned community with the retail and hospitality on the first level and living spaces above. It's not visible from the main highway, so it doesn't innately grab traffic. We tried it based on a Google Search. Here's what we found Atmosphere: Tries to blend upscale with roadhouse. Lots of open space and some rustic or brick elements, but with polished black tables and an upscale set up. They went with the industrial exposed ceiling look. It was definitely out of place for what you would expect from a great steakhouse, almost like it wants to be a downtown Brazilian Steakhouse or Bistro. Lol. Leaving those expectations aside, it was fine. Not a lot of traffic and clean. Service: Not bad, but not great. Lots of young kids working there. Our waitress seemed slightly offended at something, even though we were all cheerful and polite, so maybe sensitive about something and off-putting at times, but she did her job. Food: In the steakhouse game, I think it's below par. It was good, but I feel like I've had better, but then again, my bar is kinda high for steaks, so I gotta give them so grace. Honestly, it was what you expect from the ambience. If I walked into a loud wooden board, packed house with checker table cloths and loud live music, I'd have different expectations. Lol The Ceasar Salad was Excellent, so they did something very well. And the steak wasn't unenjoyable, it was good, just not a 5 star Overall positive. For the price, a bit under expectation. Seems like its good fit for what it's trying to be though

11 of us went here to bid a friend farewell. The waitress Jacquelyn coped really well, food was pretty good too. It was a little noisy for conversation but we all had a good time. Parking isn’t easy here, you should be prepared for a short walk. As for price, they are one of the more reasonably priced steak houses in Amarillo and you certainly get plenty of food for your money. In summary, I would say this is this is a pretty good place to eat.

While the food is decent. I have NEVER ordered takeout and my order was correct. I order often from here because it so close to where I live. It’s actually remarkable how much they mess up the Togo orders.

December 2025: 2nd visit, I ordered similar to our October visit and it was not the same experience. My filet mignon did not have the beautiful deep sear. I ordered grilled onions and while they were good, I did not like how they made the steak soggy or the interference with the butter on top. The asparagus was awful and woody. I ordered wild rice and it was sticky, barely warm, and on the stale side. I also asked to have another persons filet mignon sliced very thin due to dentures and they sliced in chunks. The bacon wrapped quail was overdone. The atmosphere was so loud we couldn't talk to each other and I thought it felt crowded. So disappointed because I couldn't wait until we returned to Amarillo to get the same experience as the October visit. October 2025: We went to this steakhouse based on people's recommendations. We were celebrating a 70th wedding anniversary and we had a party of 13. We made a reservation and they had our table completely ready and it was on time. We were actually able to start seeing early. The room for the large parties was very big and comfortable. The chairs are very comfortable. The server was extremely friendly and efficient. Now about the food, I loved my food. I ordered filet mignon, asparagus, salad. I got blue cheese crumbles on the side and it was delicious. We also ordered the bacon wrapped quail for appetizers and I wasn't going to eat one but I did and it was fabulous. I had to eat two. I highly recommend this steakhouse!!!!.

I went with a group of quite a few for a work event. First off, the place is nice, atmosphere was good, the manager stopped in twice, servers and runners seemed to be hustling. Which brings me to the second point, our server was pretty much non existent. My husband never received a refill of his tea, all waters went empty, I had to ask for my my drink multiple times. I ordered an old fashioned, top notch, before dinner and didn't receive it until the very end of dinner. We sat down at 6, and didn't leave until 9. Our order wasn't taken until 7:30. That's a really long time to go with only one glass of tea! For the price and atmosphere I really expected a pretty awesome server, and he was lacking in every way. Third, though, my steak was really good. As a group they ordered appetizers, which I didn't try, but everyone said was really good. My steak did come with two sides, so I ordered double Caesar salad. The rest of the sides looked really good, but I'm pretty strict carnivore so decided just to do salad. They would not place it in a single bowl, do I had two. No problem, I had put them together. I did ask for no croutons, both salads had croutons. I removed them. Quite a bit of my lettuce was frozen, but the dressing was nice! And it has a good amount of cheese, so I ate that. Now back to my steak. I ordered a 12oz ribeye medium. It was definitely medium well, but still good. It is not an overly seasoned steak, which I prefer. It is served with butter, I would have loved a second dallop! The fat in the steak was really nicely marbled and tender. The edges has a great char, complementary to the buttery fat. I had it down in a few minutes, and regret not getting the 16oz. But my husband also had a 12oz ribeye, and his steak looked nothing like mine. He didn't even finished it, and it was. It appealing to me either. So overall three stars, one star for terrible, terrible, service, five stars for MY steak, but only three for the one next to me. While I would love to go back and get another buttery steak, I'm hesitant as there was no consistency in the steaks and I may disappointed in my second $45 steak from there.

X- Steakhouse has great promise. Let’s me start with the good: The steak was cooked to request. That alone may be enough for people in Google world. The rolls were exceptional and the dinner salad was large. The cons: Our server was absent often during our dinner. She took our drink order and appetizer order and the poof! We got our drinks and appetizer and then waited about 10 mins before she came back to take our meal order. We were her only table and the staff stood within eye shot and stood around talking. My steak as I said was cooked perfectly, but was about 1/3 fat. When you order a good steak you should expect some fat, it makes it tender, but not 1/3. I believe that X is a good place to eat but not somewhere I would call a steakhouse I would frequent.

We ate here for lunch and they took over an hour to get our food out. It wasn’t busy when we went. Also a shot of screwball was $7. That is a little insane. Overall the food was okay but not anything special for the price point.

I won’t be back to this steakhouse. I ordered a 12oz ribeye but 75% was fat. The artichoke dip was completely dry. The waitress ordered the wrong wine. When they came back with the correct wine it had only about 3oz in both glasses. I ordered 6oz each. The manager offered to remake my food but at that point I wasn’t interested in eating any of their food. He did offer a dessert but again I wasn’t interested in something else having another issue. He removed the steak off my ticket and the dip. The restaurant gave us $40 in food vouchers for the next time. I did leave the vouchers there as I will not be back. My meal was still $69.xx plus tip and without my entree. There are many restaurants in Amarillo that provide steak. Do better X-Steakhouse.
