Anche se sulla strada è un Posticino nascosto, non ti fermeresti mai invece entrando trovi subito una piacevole sorpresa. Gessica molto cordiale e preparata e come racconta lei i piatti ti invoglia a prendere tutto. Per iniziare un assaggio di pizza con il bagos veramente squisita e poi i primi. Non abbiamo assaggiato i secondi ma da non perdere i dolci super squisiti e tutti fatti in casa. Se ripasso mi fermerò ancora.

Qua si fanno belle cene! Quelle semplici ma che ti fanno andare via con il sorriso, ci si sente un po' a casa. Servizio buono e piatti altrettanto buoni. Salame al cioccolato bianco e pistacchio (come anche tutti gli altri dolci) fatto dalla casa... Una dipendenza! Dovessi tornare nei dintorni, farei sicuramente un salto qua!

Ci siamo fermati in questo ristorante perché era di strada e siamo rimasti contentissimi. Abbiamo mangiato dei ravioli eccezionali e due dolci sfiziosi. Ci torneremo sicuramente. È stato un ottima scoperta.

Una meravigliosa scoperta in un piccolo paesino sul lago d’Idro! Oltre agli splendidi piatti, della tradizione ma realizzati in maniera eccellente, il ristorante ha anche degli ottimi dolci fatti in casa da Gessica, la titolare. È spettacolare l’attenzione e la cura dei prodotti locali. Il servizio è impeccabile, ci si sente accolti dalla titolare che sempre con il sorriso è pronta a spiegare e raccontare ogni piatto! Davvero consigliatissimo, anche per i turisti che vogliano provare piatti tipici della tradizione della Val Sabbia! Grazie per l’esercizio esperienza!

Abbiamo trascorso una serata fantastica da Al Carel! Il cibo era semplicemente divino – ogni piatto preparato con tanta cura e gusto. Il servizio è stato cordiale, professionale e ci ha fatto sentire davvero i benvenuti. Ci ha toccato il cuore un gesto speciale: lo chef è uscito personalmente per offrire al nostro cane delle deliziose fettine di prosciutto. Un piccolo pensiero che dice tutto sull’ospitalità di questo posto. Abbiamo apprezzato ogni momento, dall’inizio alla fine, e torneremo sicuramente!

Cibo buonissimo. Siamo stati a pranzo e abbiamo assaggiato sia primi che secondi, che dolci. Niente da dire. Pasta col salmì di lepre e cinghiale con polenta deliziosi. Anche le torte, fatte in casa, super buone. Personale gentilissimo e cordiale. Gessica molto brava e preparata. Prezzo perfetto per la qualità di cibo e servizio. Ci torneremo sicuramente.

Ho avuto il piacere di pranzare da Ai Carel Pizzeria di Gessica Porta, un locale che – come raccontato dalla ristoratrice – affonda le sue radici nei primi anni ’70. E si percepisce subito: qui non si viene solo a mangiare, ma a respirare storia e tradizione. Il ristorante è un vero punto di riferimento del territorio, custode delle tradizioni culinarie di lago e di montagna. Il menù riflette questa doppia anima: piatti autentici, sapori decisi ma equilibrati, materie prime che parlano di territorio. Dalla pizza – fragrante e ben lievitata – alle specialità più tipiche, ogni proposta racconta un legame profondo con la cucina locale. Fantastic restaurant run by local family serving delicious local dishes. The daily dishes are based on quality produce from the local market each day. Great meat, fish, pizza and pasta dishes. Should not miss if in the area. Best to reserve but they will somehow fit you in if you can not or forget to reserve. Highly recommended.

We had three meals at this place during our two night stay at lake Idro. The pizza (north Italian style) is amazing and the pasta is also fantastic. If we ever return, we will definitely have many pizzas (again). One thing to note is that they do not serve pizza for lunch.

Happy to return to this excellent restaurant, which we also consider a bit as our family ❤️💯 Review June 2024: Anfo is one of those villages most people drive through. And maybe when you do, you will spot “Al Carel”. Make sure you stop and go visit this exquisite little restaurant. Here’s why… You will be welcomed like a lost relative coming home. You will sit with local Italians, which should already tell you this is a good place to be. Our waitress, who speaks English very well, started to explain about the menu. The way she did that, it became poetry. If Italy would ever need to put one person on stage as a spokes person, she would need to be the first choice. Now I can tell you all about the excellent food, the divine lasagne bolognese I ate, but you will have to experience what it truly means if Italians cook up a dish. Coming from The Netherlands, our kitchen is not well known internationally. We cook to eat mostly, you will survive the Dutch kitchen and not go hungry. But Italians can cook. And when they put their heart in it, like they do at “Al Carel”, you will be a changed person for the better. Al Carel, their kitchen staff and people working there, serving you, will make you feel at home in Italy, like a long lost family member returning. ❤️🇮🇹💯

Patrizia welcomed me when I was tired hungry and in a hurry. Within 10 minutes I had two portions of fabulous lasagna to take away and she even gave me a proper metal fork to take with. Such kind people there, and amazing food! 10/10 recommend.

The best tiramisu we’ve ever had! And we ate a lot of them, also while working in meditareanian restaurant! The cuisine is honest, very local and incredibily tasty. We also ordered two local pastas - one with guanciale, and one with porcini mashrooms and a wild boar stew with polenta - everything was amazing! Keep on slaying guys 💅

We arrived early and no one else there, so atmosphere hadn’t really started. Very friendly staff. The menu, on a photocopied sheet, was a great change from the churned out tourist menus that you often see. It had real local food including local cheeses, fish from the lake and rabbit. We only wanted something light, so I had a tomato and fish pasta and my wife, local cheese ravioli in butter. They were both exquisite. My wife really enjoyed the cheesecake and my coffee was the best outside of Naples. 2 pastas, 1/4 wine, 1/2 water, 1 desert and 1 coffee = €40. Decide for yourselves, folks.

Great restaurant. The best I have found in my 4 weeks in Italy. High quality home made dishes and super friendly staff. They have a great tasty german beer for a good price. We were 12 people, some with gluten intolerance. They did all their best to accommodate our needs. Very recommended!

It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but this restaurant is such a gem! Very cosy and interesting decor, super friendly staff and good food for a low price. We really enjoyed seeing a mix of locals and tourists coming in, this place was bustling. Make sure to reserve a table if you want to go on a weekend night.

Di passaggio qui ad Anfo, Al Carel è capitato proprio a puntino, la inquadro come una taverna tradizionale con menù tipico locale. Per cui sì, è andato tutto bene ed è assolutamente consigliato, sia per rapporto qualità prezzo, sia perché è sempre bello quando il servizio si prende qualche minuto e ti spiega cosa si mangia. Fanno anche la pizza ma non a mezzogiorno, abbiamo trovato posto ma consiglio di prenotare. Mi è proprio piaciuto!

Honestly, it wasn’t the best pizza I’ve had in Italy, but the place is very charming, the decor is beautiful, the waitresses were helpful and the homemade creamy tiramisu was an absolute delight.

Mediocre at best. Not as the rest of the critics for this restaurant testify. We had a pizza each, the crust was to hard, the toppings nearly tasteless. From all the pizzas we have tasted in Crone or Idro, this was the worst one. Ambiente isn’t that great either, no sight onto the beautiful Lago de idro instead you are looking at a busy street with lots of traffic. Having the issue of parking is another unsatisfying point I need to mention. In short: To pricy for what you get, no ambient, no special food.
