Our server Denise was amazing! And the entire staff was so welcoming. Food and atmosphere were great!

My friend and I had the stuffed baked potatoe with bbq pork. It was delicious. I had donut holes and were really good and a little raw but they were really good. My friends had the pecan pie egg roll and I'm not a fan of pecan pie but they liked it. Will dine in again.

I've loved Sonny's since I was a kid. This is my first time reviewing due to a discovery today. I asked if their burgers could be customized, they affirmed this was possible. How about onion straws and bacon? Close, how about onion straws and home made bacon bits.. I said sold. After the first bite, I thought immediately everyone should know about this hack! Give it a try and like my review if you agree! It was so good, and they didn't even charge extra for the toppings. I love Sonny's! Edit: They now have the Jon burger on the menu, of course not called that and no credit to me! Also Priscilla is an amazing server!

I'm a local native, but I moved away twenty years ago. Of course, when I came home, I had to have a meal at Sonny's. Same great food, Just a little different menu. Definitely a place I plan on visiting next time I come home. 🇺🇲💯😎🔥

The food was good, we had to wait for our full order. The chicken wings was a little burnt but good. The server was really busy. To many tables at one time. She did stop by when she could. The team members were friendly.

I never get a drink from Sonny's. I normally get a sweet tea while I wait for my to go order. I must say the bartender served up a real nice Caribbean/Bahama punch. My food orders are always good and the staff at Sonny's is great.

This was my first visit and although I had a small issue, the GM Ryan took care of it promptly…and without me asking! That’s the kind of service that creates repeat customers. Now to go home and get lost in this brisket!

Their remodel looks AMAZING. The new bar in the center of the restaurant has such good energy and as always the service here is incredible. Definitely try the Redneck Egg Rolls and the Baby Back Ribs. The food is always on point!

I've eaten at a few Sonny's BBQ locations now and they have been quite consistent. The ribs were really good - this was my first time having Sonny's ribs. I never get chicken at a BBQ place because it's dried out 99% of the time. The chicken (dark meat) WAS PERFECT. Just the right amount of smoke and the skin was super crispy. Sadly, the brisket was on the dry side today but had great flavor. Unfortunately, that's sometimes how it goes with brisket. The slaw was pretty good. The beans were good too. Generous portions for the sides. Overall I'm pretty happy with the meal. Dana did a great job and she clearly knows how to manage multiple tables at one time. She came back at exactly the right times! Give her a raise...good help is hard to find.

I've been eating at Sonny's for over 20 years. We're never disappointed when visiting this location. Never had bad service here, or bad food. I tried their smoked wings for the first time yesterday & loved them so much that we went back (through the drive through) today to get more! I also had a salad for the first time and it was delicious, but I was already kinda full from the wings so I couldn't finish the salad. My husband originally ordered the unlimited ribs, but after having the wings he didn't order past his first round of food and our waitress was able to switch his meal to just a single ribs entree instead. This is currently my local Sonny's and I am pleased.

This establishment feels like you’re eating at one of your family’s house!! Its warm atmosphere is very clean, cozy & the staff is so sweet!!!! Food is made with love! Katherine was a great waitress so it elevates the dining experience through exceptional service, combining efficiency with a warm, personable attitude.

My husband and I love Sonny's and either eat in or do take out frequently. We have always had a great experience dining or doing take out. Today when I came in to get a take out order I was assisted by Brooklynn who was courteous and prompt when taking my order.

So much has changed! Not all for the best. Big deal isn't really a thing. Prices are up a third. Portions are less. Food tastes about the same. I always get pulled pork; several people around me were complaining about dry ribs. I can't verify that as I won't order them anymore. Sorry

Too cold in your restaurant. We have been to the Apopka location on different occasions and can’t enjoy our meal. We have to hurry up and eat to get outside to warm up. Bring yourself a jacket, otherwise get it to go.

We really love the food here, and even more when they have a drive thru for those days that you just dont want to get out of the car and want to eat relax at your home. The pulled pork, the brisket and the bbq chicken are great. But, for me, the potato salad is the best. The service is very good and, at least in our experience, the drive thru fairly quick.

It was a great time, the servers are top notch and the food did taste amazing. We came with a big party but we were able to be seated fairly quickly. Only complaint I had was my portion size for my brisket. Very little compared to the rest of the menu. The ribs were significantly better

I ordered pickup from Sonny’s BBQ on Semoran Boulevard in Apopka today, and unfortunately this was a very disappointing experience — the worst I’ve had so far at this location. Even though Sonny’s is one of my favorite restaurants, and about seven years ago I gave this very location a five-star review because it was truly excellent, over the years this restaurant has been steadily going downhill, and today really confirmed that trend. After checking in both at the desk and through the app, my order appeared to sit for about 20 minutes, likely under a warmer or in the oven, without anyone notifying me that it was ready. I eventually had to walk up and ask about my order before it was handed to me. When I got home, I discovered the garlic toast was missing, along with the barbecue sauce. The food itself was barely warm — the okra and fries were soggy, the tater tots were only slightly warm, and the meat was barely warm, which seriously impacted the quality and taste. I also tried calling the store to speak with a manager, but was told the manager was too busy in the kitchen to take even a brief call from a dissatisfied customer. That lack of follow-up only added to the frustration. Sonny’s has always been a favorite of mine, which makes this experience especially disappointing, and the food simply did not meet the standard I’ve come to expect from the brand.

Order went smoothly. The food was okay. Didn’t like the French fries too much. It doesn’t look much appealing. The steak burger 🍔 was cooked as ordered. The brisket sandwich needed more flavor. This was our first time so I didn’t know the sauce and other condiments were not already made to order. It could be better with flavor and presentation.

Imagine the shock and confusion. Rib number 6 is entirely missing, rib number 5 is already half eaten. I went from drooling to feeling absolutely disgusted. Be aware if you place order via door dash, you may not receive what you ordered in the end. Couldn’t rate service (dine-in) and atmosphere. I couldn’t stomach eating this take-out, so I rated 2 stars for the efforts of the kitchen making it.

All the way went in again. This is like the fifth time this has happened in the drive through there, sat there for 15 minutes, it took them longer than that to remake 3 pieces of garlic bread and 2 sandwiches. Finally, I just walked out and told them to keep the food. I will never go back again. My advice never go through the drive through with that sunny's.

I used to come here all the time. Since the renovation, they went more upscale ( they are chasing 4Rivers) -- prices are high and portions are small. It's very poor value for money now. I sometimes drop in every 8mths or so and it's just dead. Prices higher every time and the menu is more limited. Miss the old Sonny's. $14 for a solo micro bbq chicken sandwich???? It used to be $8 and came with a drink.
