Whether you choose to enjoy a beer/ burger on their newly refurbished patio or pick up some sandwiches for a picnic on the beach you'll be stoked you stumbled along the Pixie! The Pixie first opened in the early 1960s. Back then it was a little market where beach-goers could grab a snack before enjoying a day on the sand. Over the past 60 years, the Pixie Deli has become a local favorite for breakfast or hearty sandwiches with the best view in town!

Fantastic local breakfast and lunch spot. Don’t sleep on their breakfast burritos or their fries (big bag of them). They’re a small deli with a good selection of sandwiches, snacks, and drinks (beer and wine too). They’re never gonna win an award for being the fastest spot but that’s not what you come here for. 100% worth a visit if you’re in town and my go to order is the pixie club and my wife loves the wild salmon sandwich. Note lunch menu starts at 11am so plan ahead.

Love sitting out in the sun and reading the Good Times here with a tasty treat, or just grabbing some sunset beers for the beach!

The Salmon Sandwich at Pixie deli is a cannot miss! This is a staple deli that my family has been coming to for decades. An easy walk from the beach, sandy and shoeless is Pixie approved. I highly recommend!

I like this place. Nice Ruben and good selection of beers and sodas. Dog friendly, outdoor seating with a view of the ocean. Just tried the California Club. Super good. My partner had the ahi wrap, which was wonderful. So much fish and yummy veggies! Not crowded at 2:30.

Reasonable prices with food you would expect from a deli. Service was friendly and prompt. A very nice patio with too little shade in the early afternoon.

Kind of pricey, but the clam chowder and shrimp sandwich are delicious

Nice area but the burritos are overpriced and literally all egg. I got four different toppings and the majority of the burrito was still mostly egg. For 2 burritos and a drink it was over $35. Honestly mediocre food for the price. I can’t speak for anything else on the menu but the burrito is not all that. I do like the outdoor seating though and the staff were super friendly!

For the amount they're charging, which is quite a lot, there should be at least a little bit of pride put into the food and preparation. I won't be back. The atmosphere is the only redeeming quality of the place.

I visit Rio Del Mar beach maybe 2 times a year. I always look forward to a burger as big as your face from Pixie. Sadly the burger is different now. Tastes like paper and the texture to match. Spent about 5 mins at the front counter unacknowledged as employees were all around me. Ordered a veggie sandwich on sourdough with no cheese. I asked for a sandwich with "all your veggies". Cost was over $14. Took around 10-15 minutes to get the sandwich. It was tiny. Like, comically small - especially for $14. The sandwich contained lettuce, tomato, onion and avocado (which I added at the last minute) on two very sad slices of sourdough bread. Absolutely wild to get 4 ingredients with borderline non existent customer service. Literally better options with better service like 20 steps away from this spot. Obviously won't be coming back. This place is very clearly a tourist trap.

I wanted to like this place it’s cute and friendly but I ordered a Cobb salad and it’s was pre-prepared and looked and tasted like it was sitting in the fridge for at least a week -very disappointed
