We came here after trying living the dream ice cream in Eureka, just to compare. We thought this was far superior. The people inside were super friendly and smiling, the ice cream is excellent, and the vibe is very chill and friendly and cool. I love their milk bottle chandelier! The chocolate ice cream was excellent. We will come here again, even if it means driving in from Eureka.

Very cute shop and delicious, organic ice cream! We visited for the 1st time this weekend on our trip from Chico to the Eukeka/Arcata area. We loved it & will most certainly return.

I love this local business. My only complaint is that there is only one dairy free option at a time. Nevertheless, all of the ice creams are tasty and they are often made with local fruit. The freshness is immediately obvious. Edit: They've begun having two dairy free flavors as the beginning of September.

Best place for Ice Cream in town. Very popular with student and families with kids. With everyone. In a funky old house. Great house made ice cream and hot freshly made waffle cones. Always interesting flavors. You can't go wrong with any of them.

Legit delicious. Loved the olive oil ice cream. Such a uniquely mellow flavor being not too sweet. Perfectly refreshing. The waffle cone bowl was great too!

A great local shop for all your homemade ice cream goodness. The shop is located in an old Victorian house. It has a quaint outdoor seating area and a wonderful sitting carousel inside. There is a lot of cutesy charm to support all the great flavors they share with the community. Thanks!

Amazing little shop! We have lived in the area for two years and just tried Arcata Scoop, the Ice cream was delicious! They had a nice variety of flavors, classic and new to me choices. The staff was super friendly and attentive! Will be going back

i used to live in humboldt in a past life, and i recently visited for the first time in many years. this ice cream spot is still just as cute and quaint as i remember. it definitely remains one of my all-time favorite local ice cream places. you absolutely have to try the honey vanilla lavender ice cream ~ it's unbelievably good, truly better than any other honey vanilla lavender i've had anywhere else. if you're ever passing through arcata, i think this place is absolutely worth a stop!

The flavors are many, lots of choices from cones to bowls. Staff is friendly and the vibe is laid back. Free water station with cups. Great after dinner stop ☮️

What a cute ice cream shoppe! I just needed to get out of the house and wanted to visit a specialty shop. The location, downtown Arcata was cute and within walking distance to so many other shops. I ordered cookies and cream and mint in a waffle cup. 🥰

They have very good flavors here and you can get a taste before you order. I couldn't decide between two orders so he gave me two smaller scoops of each flavor. Also recommend the house made waffle cone. The guy that served us we awesome. Once we got out scoops, we made our way to the giraffe swinging table.

The cutest ice cream shop I have ever been in! They have an incredible table that's on a swing. You can sit at it with up to four adults and enjoy your ice cream while swinging! They also have the sweet single carousel ride for youngsters. Local photography is featured in one of their rooms and is available for purchase! The ice cream was delicious! I ordered the honey vanilla lavender and my husband ordered the cookies and cream. Will ate his entire waffle bowl... pictured! Lol I REALLY enjoyed mine too! It was the perfect spot for dessert!!

This is some really fine, home made, artisanal ice cream. We tried the maple cinnamon and the honey vanilla with lavender. Both were smooth, creamy, flavorful and delicious. $4.50 for a single, large scoop. My one complaint is that the honey vanilla with lavender has piece of lavender still in it. They were nasty to bite into. They should have been strained out.

Fantastic local ice cream shop! The flavors are so good and none come off as artificial. I got the honey lavender and the lemon poppy and the flavor combo was perfect. My wife got the cookies and cream and chocolate. She said the cookies and cream was sweet and the chocolate was very chocolatie (spelling?) The young lady working was very friendly as well. Unique handmade and very tasty ice cream. Wonderful location and atmosphere. Two rare and unique Dentzel rides, the Tower of Giraffes Balançoire and a coin operated galloping bunny, also live at the Arcata Scoop.

This place...HANDS DOWN my favorite place to get icecream in ALL of Humboldt county. Super friendly staff, a cozy, fun atmosphere, and super delicious and creamy icecream with rotating flavors! They have some good options for those with dietary restrictions as well, like using coconut milk instead of regular cream/milk. You can freely sample before you get anything, and can even take a pint home with you for later! My absolute favorite is their cookies & cream ❤ The secret...? They use Newman-O's in their cookies and cream!

I love this little ice cream spot. The ice cream choices change which I love because there hasn’t been one that I don’t like. The inside is pretty cool with a big rocking chair, super cute for the kids or adults to sit on.

We stopped by and were initially let down that the ice cream selection was super small and not really “chunky”. We went for it anyways and boy were we glad we did. The ice cream quality, texture and flavors were so good. Organic ice cream! Heck yeah. Great product. Really enjoyed the family friendly space as well.

Cute little ice cream shop right downtown. Only a few flavors but definitely high quality ice cream. Had the maple walnut and coffee in a waffle bowl and it was so good!

The ice cream can be pretty good, you just have to get there when the right flavors are there. I feel like it is a tad overpriced and the ice cream isn't as creamy as I would like it to be! Their waffle cones are DELICIOUS! And made fresh there! The atmosphere is very cute though!

Such a cute little ice cream place!! I only had a scoop of the salted caramel and it was a little different than what I was expecting of salted caramel but still very good. Dogs are not allowed in the building but you can go around the back and have them on the patio. They were so nice and made some great suggestions.

Visited this place for the first time today and the three women there were very unwelcoming and seemed bothered that we walked into the store. The ice cream is average the place is decorated for children. It’s an overpriced and overrated place with employees that obviously don’t know what good customer service is.
