Amazing experience! The escargot was phenomenal. Paige was terrific and so helpful with menu knowledge. Michael the manager checked on us to make sure we were enjoying our evening. We came to celebrate an anniversary. The ambiance was so romantic. Thank you Chez Fabien for an unforgettable night. Heart heart heart!
Went for a weekday late breakfast. They had a table readily available. Good selection of breakfast items. The lattes were big. The food tasted good. They could've added more egg to the parisian and more flavor to the chorizo egg tacos... which is really a burrito cut in half. The croissant was good. The waiter was excellent! The atmosphere was nice, a little quiet and dark inside so it made it peaceful.
I had a great experience dining here! The food was not only delicious but also came in generous portions that left me more than satisfied. Every dish was flavorful and clearly made with care. If you're someone who appreciates both quality and quantity, this place definitely delivers. Highly recommended for anyone with a big appetite and a love for good food!
This place is top notch and high class! It's small, though, which makes it very quaint but the restaurant fills up fast. Everything on the menu is awesome, from the Caesar salad and the French onion soup, to the ribeye steak. I suspect their desserts are great too but I fill up and never make it that far. I highly recommend this place but also recommend you get there early ... or make a reservation.
I have since come back to enjoy their happy hour, which is, chef’s kiss 🤌🏼, but the reason for this review is the aperol spritz. I typically hate this drink and I really don’t understand how they do it here but it’s amazing. Must try. The coffee shop and bakery that is attached to the restaurant is also wonderful. The vibe here is very warm and even during the holidays with Grapevine’s Christmas chaos, parking was not hard to find.
We had the most amazing date night. Brittany, our outstanding waitress, made the night extra special. The food is exceptional, service is wonderful, all around fantastic experience. Not a typical reviewer of restaurants but this one deserved an extra special shout out. Pro tip: order the apple pie martini
I have never been disappointed in the food. Everything is good. I especially liked the quiche. Service is spot on. I was not happy with an adult beverage that I ordered, and the waitress quickly moved to remedy the situation. Atmosphere is fun, it's crowded. For me, It's a little bit noisy to dine inside and I try to get outside seating when the weather permits
I have been coming here for years and it is a good spot in one of my favorite cities. The location and atmosphere on Main Street are always enjoyable. The food is consistently great here from both the restaurant or the bakery attached/next door. Yes, you pay a premium (for the experience and prime location?), but it is worth it, in my opinion. I rarely order pancakes or waffles when eating out, but this morning I decided to switch things up and went with the Belgian waffle, it did not disappoint. The service is always attentive and friendly. Always worth a stop for breakfast or brunch when on Main street.
We came on a Sunday for breakfast. No wait time and I love the atmosphere and Jesse, our waiter was the best. The music was nice but it was a bit noisy. The food was excellent and I enjoyed the lattes. Lastly, the Churros French Toast was perfect. A definite place I would be coming back to.
Great place on Main Street in downtown Grapevine, TX. Fun atmosphere with great service and even better menu selections. Fun bar area with a great selection of premium liquors. Try the famous Bloody Mary. Can be busy, tables turn quickly and definitely worth the wait. Cozy place with quiet seating - booths and tables throughout a deep narrow layout.
Wow - really good! As we were flying out of DFW early in the morning and staying near Grapevine overnight - we needed a place for dinner. My wife booked a reservation at Chez Fabien. We arrived half hour early and they were able to seat of as a nice corner booth. The both was tall and had soft fabric on the setbacks. Good thing as it helped with the sound in the place. So the booth was comfortable but the sound was rather loud - some parties louder than others. No worries - I popped by AirPods in :) Our waiter was Alex. He was very pleasant. We ordered cocktails and told Alex we were taking the night slow as our entry time into offsite parking was for 2 hours later. The wife and I both ordered their French Old Fashioned. They were really nice and only $13. Later, we ordered the Calamari appetizer. It too was really good. It came with two dipping sauces and there were some fried veggies in addition to the calamari. The kitchen here is freaky fast. It could not have been more than 5 minutes and the appetizer was brought to the table by a runner. A while later, we ordered dinner. We shared their Beef Bourguignon. It was very tasty and was plenty to share. For dessert, we ordered a slice of Italian Cream Cake to go for eating later, back at the hotel. Oh my gosh, the slice was huge and was so fresh and moist. It could be the best I’ve ever had. The menu here at Chez Fabien has a lot to offer. If you don’t think you care for French food, you will still find plenty of options that will please you. And for downtown Grapevine, I also felt the price was nice for the drinks and food.
When I made a reservation for this restaurant and put make it special for my anniversary I was mainly kidding, but they went above and beyond my expectations. Great food and portions amazingly quick service and a complementary dessert to celebrate our big day. I would recommend this place as a date night spot for any couples. And I will definitely be back .
This restaurant is connected to a bakery and you can order from it to your table. My granddaughters were enjoying kolaches and croissants. Lidia was our server and provided excellent service. She was attentive and friendly. I also liked that the manager stopped by to say hello and check on us. The restaurant theme is Parisienne and offers a nice ambiance. It is clean and very pretty.
It’s been a minute since the last time I’ve eaten here. Love the updates! The service is great, atmosphere inviting and the food is delicious. I had the Santa Monica grilled chicken sandwich and my lovely wife had the French Dip. Highly recommend both. The desserts are off the chart and we decided to go with the crème brûlée with berries.
This is my 3rd time in Grapevine and finally, I’ve been able to get a table here! No wonder why they’re so busy: they’re fabulous! Lovely ambience, great and fast service and delicious food!! Both restaurant and bakery have soooo many options that we might need to come here a few times to try everything! We came for brunch and while we were waiting to be seated, they gave me my son a dinosaur cookie since there’s an Dino expo in town. Needless to say, it made my son’s day! We ordered Florentino quiche and the side salad was impressively good for a side salad! We also ordered chicken and waffles Benedict, which was also impressive as it was just not a simple chicken waffle but the French twist made it yummy!! For dessert, we had the churros French toast with house made dulce de leche and that was the perfect final touch!!!! Highly recommended and we’ll definitely come back!
Chez Fabien is a delightful spot in Grapevine, perfect for a cozy breakfast or brunch. The dark roast coffee was bold and strong, and the Earl Grey tea was beautifully served in a teapot, adding to the charm. Paul ordered the omelet, which was absolutely delicious. We loved that they mix all the ingredients into the eggs rather than just stuffing them in like a crepe—exactly how an omelet should be! I had the avocado toast, which was both filling and flavorful. The butter croissant was incredibly flaky and rich, the perfect pastry to round out our meal. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we will definitely be back! Jesse our server was attentive and great. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great breakfast or brunch spot in Grapevine.
Very nice French restaurant in the middle of Grapevine’s Main Street. Typical French ambience with paintings and other decor. Our waitress Sophia provided an excellent service, very professional attentive, always watching for any of our needs; helped with some recommendations and also gave different samples of wine until we were satisfied. We started with a warm brie as an appetizer, which was good, but thought it would be bigger. We had two salads, mushroom ravioli, and French onion soup. Bread pudding and two different crêpes for dessert. One difference from other reviews that I checked prior to going, they say it is around $20 per person, while in reality, we paid around $60 per person. (based on our choices and personal experience). This was our first time, and looking forward to going back. Thank you all for a great time and service.
February 2026 We came here for breakfast attending some event at Gaylord resort. Downtown Grapevine is definitely a great place to visit and explore. This restaurant served some great breakfast and coffee. We enjoyed our visit and breakfast. Great selection and delicious offerings.
12/20/2025 - On our visit to Downtown Grapevine, the only place we found to be open before (11) eleven a.m. was Chez Fabien. Upon arrival we found the restaurant to be packed with people, we left our names with the greeter and was told it would be a 30-45 minute wait before we would be seated. Since we were killing time, and needed to eat breakfast we waited. After only (9) nine minutes we were seated. After only a few minutes we knew what we were going to order. Josie our server took our orders and we were served after only a few minutes. I got the omelet (with bacon, jalapenos, and cheddar), and my wife got the Chiliquelas. In addition my wife ordered an almond croissant. Our meals were delicious and satisfying. All in all, Chez Fabien is a quaint (if somewhat busy) little restaurant. The food is fairly priced and yummy, and our server Josie was courteous and very attentive. Josie you rock!! Next time we are in Grapevine we will definitely return.
I've been here a couple of times for brunch, food is always great, and atmosphere is very lively. Both times around 10am and it's been very busy, and that could be the reason I only received half of what I ordered and condiments were not put on the table. Minor things but nevertheless, we enjoyed our brunch and time spent there.
The food was good, the chicken and waffles tasted as if it had a toasted marshmallow flavor, it was unexpected. The sausage and brioche was excellent. The breakfast margarita was just awesome and smooth. The staff was nice but a few complications with the order we practically had to eat separately due to timing and a wrong order being delivered. As a whole the building was very crowded and there was a 45 min wait so get there early.
We ordered a croque monsieur, but it didn't come as is traditional. The steak and fries were a generous portion. For dessert, we ordered profiteroles, but the size was disproportionate, with too much ice cream. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the waiter was very kind and attentive.
Food was incredible, packed with flavor and extremely larger portions, which was brought out by the friendly, kind, and helpful staff. However, on a Sunday evening we waited nearly 90 minutes for a table, drove around looking for parking for about 20 minutes, and the noise levels in the restaurant were so loud I could hardly hear myself think, getting louder throughout the evening as people at the bar got more drunk and started having more fun. Highly worth a visit, but my recommendation would be to plan ahead and make sure you know what time you’re going and have logistics figured out.
Here's why I spent a $100 on an over priced dinner which didn't fill me and my hubby up. . BEWARE! Waiter did not mention additional costs. Martini was $13 for the drink + $4 for Titos then $1 for each olive added. I had 2 martinis. My hubby had 2 as well. Totalling $38 The bowl of soup was literally a measured 1 cup of soup for $14.99. I have Ramen at home. Who charges $3.50 to use a card for payment. I understand charging fees can reduce cash related risks however this restaurant isn't a small business but ran by a corporation so charging this higher than normal percentage is outrageous and patronizing. To me as a paying customer. In my opinion this establishment doesn't value, respect, nor is grateful for their profits and customer.
The bar action and the breakfast were solid and worth the money. I also would highly recommend the bakery next door. However, when it comes to the lunch/ dinner menu I hold reservations. In mmm opinion it seems the kitchen has not quite managed the proper attention to details and possibly over looking quality for quantity. Presentation looks great but the steak is under cooked. Garnish is good but the wrong sides or bread was served. Good Portions but the temperature was too cool. Better luck when it’s not so busy at Christmas maybe? Good bar, decent service, low quality food preparation
Love the love music but what in the hey happened to the food? Artichoke was filled with bread crumbs and looked like it was assaulted by a weed wacker w absolutely no flavor. The French onion soup lacked the cheesy goodness and was topped with frozen pastry dough. Salad just meh. Chicken spinach mushroom crepe was also a huge disappointment - cafeteria bland comes to mind. The worst food I have had in years. I guess I’m blessed. The cute girl playing music was fab. Go for a drink and music vibes- otherwise this place is a miss and should b closing in the near future. I was insulted by the poor quality of food.
