We love those ramens, they are delicious! Ordering is very convenient with the machines and service is quick. Great atmosphere with a giant art work. Highly recommend!
my husband and i love this place! we tried it once back when we lived in arlington and loved it. now we go here whenever we’re back in arlington and it’s always incredible! their pork is so freaking tender and we like their new shallow bowls. we’ll always come back!
To the owner: PLEASE PLATE THE RAMEN THE WAY IT USED TO BE. To many, if not most, of your loyal customers it matters. The broth looses it temperature quicker with those wide plates and the flavor in the broth isn't as rich since the paste is taken out and isn't mixed in. I get it if you have to remove the paste out of the plate and off to the side if too many customers have complained about the spice level, but please bring the old bowls back.people like myself have driven far to come here for authentic ramen. I used to go to the old location in Fort Worth when it used to be Oni Ramen. I hope this was all just a test! Editing to respond to the owner as it is the only alternative to reply: Thank you to the owner for responding! There is no way to submit a direct 'note' online, I live in Alabama rn so a walk-in isn't an option until the summer if that is what you were referring to, thank you for acknowledging my review. I will change my review to a 5 star not for the food, but for respect of your attentiveness and actually responding to your customer. I really do hope you can go back to the deep bowls. If not, oh well man. Btw you said the3star hurts small business, I get it, changing how you serve the food can hurt a business too and you'll have positive and negative feedback from it, but you're the owner and see the big picture.
🍜 Friday Night Ramen Run — Review We stopped by right before the ice storm on a Friday night, and the place was completely empty — it honestly felt like we had it all to ourselves. With the cold weather rolling in, ramen was exactly what we needed, and it absolutely hit the spot. Both bowls were rich, comforting, and full of flavor — the kind of meal that warms you up from the inside out. What we ordered: 🍜 Karashi Tonkotsu (Mild) — $15.00 ➕ Extra Chashu — $2.00 • Creamy broth with a subtle kick, super satisfying 🍜 Miso Ramen — $17.00 • Deep, savory flavor and very filling Overall: Great spot for a cozy ramen night, especially when the weather is cold. No wait, calm atmosphere, and solid bowls all around. We’d definitely come back.
If you love Pho, COME HERE!!! The chef Anthony was happy to give honest recommendations. I love love love spicy and he suggested getting the Karashimiso habenero style and he offered a side of reaper sauce. I added just a scoop with my chopsticks and BAM. The flavor was amazing. Everything blended so well together. Highly recommended! They have sake and beer.
My son and I were looking for a ramen spot near Arlington that stayed open later and had great reviews, and that’s how we found Kintaro on Google. We decided to give it a try—and we’re so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and greeted us right away. Ordering on the kiosk was quick and easy, and our ramen came out faster than expected. The presentation was absolutely beautiful, and the flavor was perfect—rich, balanced, and better than what we were hoping for. Everything we tried was so good, and the whole experience felt warm and welcoming. We’ll definitely be coming back! Highly recommend Kintaro to anyone craving delicious ramen and great service. 🍜
We are regular customers to this place. We are never disappointed with the service. Recently they have been experimenting with their portion sizes. But today the portions were really good with reasonable price The staff is so polite and accommodating. We usually order vegetarian curry ramen which is really good. I especially like their broth. They provided us with delicious food as always.
I ordered the creamy vegetarian ramen, and it was absolutely amazing! The broth was smooth, rich, and comforting — the perfect dish for a rainy day. The service was also fantastic; the staff were friendly, fast, and efficient, and I had my bowl of ramen within 5–10 minutes. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving a warm, satisfying meal.
Classic tonkotsu ramen, no changes, the broth is creamy and well seasoned! The broth was basically all of the flavors, the noodles had next to no flavor; heavily relies on broth. The chasu tender and they give you a fair amount. Bamboo shoots in the dish were on point, no hard pieces or anything. I’ve been to places where the bamboo shoots were rock hard. The little mushroom looking black strings were a fun crunchy addition~! Scallions added a nice touch for a fresh bite, and ofc the seasoned egg was 10/10. Definitely a nice experience but also very pricy!!
I FINALLY got here! I 1st saw a news feature on Kintaro a few years ago & saved it to visit. Well it took years but it was worth the wait and hour long drive! I have the vegetarian ramen and the flavors were amazing! It was comfort food in a ramen! My daughter had a spicier bowl and she really enjoyed hers (not sure the name but see the pic). The appetizer- the dumplings, were served with soy sauce- they were so flavorful, the soy sauce was unnecessary! Definitely give them a try. I'm don't have a background in traditional ramen (my 1st nonAmerican experience was in South Korea and it definitely was not as amazing as this!) but I think people who enjoy ramen would definitely like this!
Super important, if you're trying to look for parking, just park at the library garage, it's right behind the restaurant. Went on a weekday and I highly recommend it. The staff were very friendly and the food only really took 10-ish minutes. Me and my friend had Pork Gyoza and Chicken Karaage as appetizers with the Karashi Tonkotsu ramen. Everything was supper delicious though I advise that for the ramen to order it mild, it's spicier than you think. Also They bring you sweet tea in a glass jug, that was so cool.
Decided to try it back in 2021 I was very much pregnant my water broke once the food was ready all nice and hot. The lady who worked there was great very helpful. Baby was born a few hours later didn’t get to eat my ramen until I had my baby and it was delicious (cold) now we go there every year to celebrate her birthday there. Food if delicious and staff is great. ❤️❤️❤️
my girlfriend and i have been coming this ramen shop for a while. this place is literally our go to ramen shop! what led me to find this spot was the black garlic oil, theres no other place that carries it in the area. (except for one, but it wasnt really good.) It taste like bitter garlic and i enjoy it very much, meat is tender and flavorful, the noodles are cooked to my liking, not too sure if they have it but i wish they had enoki mushrooms. we also unexpectedly found the best chicken karrage we’ve ever heard, its cooked freshly every time and it comes with seasoning, mayo, and a lemon. Overall, amazing ramen shop, check them out you won’t regret it.
✨Best Ramen in Arlington✨ 🍜 We eat here often because of how high quality the ramen is! 🍗 The Kaarage was so juicy and had a great sauce on the side. It was the perfect portion for 2 people to share. Would order this again. 🍟 The Oknomi Fries were delicious and filling. We wanted to try a new appetizer so we tried this and it didn’t disappoint. 🍜 We both ordered Karashi Tonkotsu at different spice levels. The broth is rich and there is a lot of meat and toppings in the ramen. The noodles were cooked perfectly. ✨I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious bowl of ramen!
as a longtime customer of this fine establishment, I can't help but be wistful of the deep and cavernous receptacles that it once served their heart-warming and belly-engorging ramen in. The taste has nary swayed, remaining impressively consistent along with their topping selection. My hunger was satiated upon my latest arrival to this fine tavern, however my heart ached still. For lo, where once did stand a bowl vast enough to drown thine sorrows in pork broth and egg noodles, there now sitteth a pitiful basin. a mere saucer. I gazed upon it as one might gaze upon the ruins of Rome: glorious still in spirit, yet diminished in depth. alas. mine spoon toucheth bottom before my spirit toucheth peace. I did tilt the vessel, seeking but a drop more of that golden elixir, yet naught remained save reflection and regret. Wistful visions of memories with cherished brethren, filling ourselves to the brim and leaving nary the wiser. I wish for one thing before I die for kin and country. To savor the olden manner of serving this glorious, magnificent ramen. That is to have an option order a large again for an upcharge perhaps please thats all I w P.S Someone left their chub in my ramen. It's already in my stomach, so just let them know it was a 10/10 and that their sacrifice was not in vain.
Got a chicken Ramen thing, added shrimp to it. Asked my waiter for recommendations for toppings to add, as I've never been there before. He recommended the seasoned egg, so I got that. Little while later, food comes out, and my egg comes in a little bowl on its own. But whats this? There is already an egg in my dish. The same exact egg I ordered. Homie recommended me food that was already in my food. Why did he do that? Guy wasn't old enough to bring me my whiskey from the bar, and now he has made an enemy for life, and I will never forget him and the extra egg for as long as I live. Food was really really good though, would go back. 4 stars. 1 star off for the damn egg.
A year of change. The bowls have changed to a flat wide spread bowl with less access to broth so you're painstakingly scraping and tilting the bowl the scoop up the remains. It's accompanied with a large spoon making it difficult to enjoy the soup. Lowered my rating to a 3. Barely enjoyable way to eat ramen. ********************************** Pretty solid ramen spot! Definitely better than a majority of the ramen shops in Arlington. We get seated really quickly for a Saturday night. We ordered 3 items which totalled to $41. It was slightly pricey but the amount of toppings you get makes up for the price. My only opinion which is super minoris the choice of noodle. Not a fan. But the taste and the quality of everything in the bowl was absolutely amazing! Definitely coming back.
Great restaurant for experienced ramen enthusiast. As a first timer, I was slightly overwhelmed by ordering on the kiosk. There are only two available and I felt pressured to make my selection quickly. The hostess noticed my confusion and quickly helped me better understand my options. If you are new to ramen, recommend reviewing the menu in advance.
Me and my uncle used to be regulars at this place 4 years ago and we recently came back, finally remembered why we stopped coming here it disappointed me so bad, the portions were very small the broth that once had such a good creamy taste just went to a shitty watery taste, also the noodles were stiff, and the only good part was the gooey eggs and the sweet tea other than that, this place is absolutely trash and wack, also its like 45$ for two very small portions, I'm just so dissatisfied with this ramen place, the ramen is just not consistent anymore and I've tasted wayyyy better in all of my 14 years of living. If yall think this place is good i promise u there are way better options
Have been looking for a new ramen place First time trying i have been looking at pictures thought it would of looked different but just tasted like burnt. Will probably try again one more time to see if its better next time since it was my first time trying im not sure if its just this time over cooked or something. Karashi Tonkotsu is the one i ordered.
We’ve been coming to Kintaro for quite some time, unfortunately some recent changes hit the mark. Came Sept 7 around 2pm Empty tables all dirty - staff chilling in the corner on their phones - chatting. Had to bus our own table They changed the recipes it seems or were having an off day - flavors were less pronounced more standard run of the mill ramen No longer a bowl of ramen, more like a plate. Wife’s was exceptionally dry, photo is before eating. Asked if we could even purchase additional broth and was told no. Just to be blunt if a couple is spending 75 on ramen and appetizers and the ramen is dry just give them broth. To refuse this and even refuse the purchase of broth is absurd Just a massive miss - if this was our first experience we most certainly would never go back.
I visited here today after placing an online order. I was standing at the counter requesting some sauce to go with my order and I am so glad that I did, as I was waiting I saw a small roach crawling on the bar and when I showed it to the hostess the chef behind the bar noticed it as well and immediately just swept it off the counter into the food prep area. That told me all I needed to know to realize that I would not and could not eat anything that was prepared there. I immediately requested a refund and the young man obliged with no problem.
