We love their newly opened evening wine bar! Great charcuterie and snacks selection and an awesome menu of natural wines. Cozy vibe for catching up and relaxing, we will be back!
Delightful afternoon tea as it should be - savory finger sandwiches, sweet pastries and scones, with a wide variety of teas! Combined with friendly service, lovely decor and reasonable prices, it is the perfect civilized option!
For a really lovely treat near Arlington Center you can’t do better than Vintage Tea and Cake Company. Choose from a large selection of timeless teas then sit back and enjoy your 3-tiered curate of finger sandwiches (available in vegetarian or non-veg), scones with jam and clotted cream, and some small desserts while conversing with your companions. It’s a classic English afternoon tea experience that everyone will enjoy and made me feel like I was back in London. Just be advised that if you’re trying to watch your sugar intake this experience might not be for you as I didn’t see any sugar-free options.

What a wonderful experience. The tearoom is elegant and peaceful and the treats are delicious. Real clotted cream! Owner Adele is incredibly helpful and will make sure your event is special.
We had a wonderful time sitting down to tea, with light sandwiches and pastries. The food was delicious and the service was excellent throughout our stay. You should try it.
Delicious assortment of finger sandwiches and desserts. The wide range of teas is divine. I love the eclectic table and tea ware. The servers are so friendly and the owner herself came to check on my allergen request. I recommend a reservation, they are popular for good reason!
This is such a fun and cozy experience. The food is good, the tea is great and the vibes are even better. It's fun and cozy without being too formal. It is relatively affordable too when compared with some of the hotel's high teas. They have great children's high tea options as well.
I had a wonderful experience at this tea house! I couldn’t recommend it enough. I went with a close friend and we simply adored it. The decor was elegant and beautiful, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and kind. Our selection of pastries and snacks were all delicious. And the tea (we chose pots of peach and a Lavendar black) were amazing and so flavorful. Very cute spot and highly recommend.
My friend and I went here yesterday. We had a fantastic time! The decor is super cute, food is fantastic, and the team is great too. Highly recommend!
A really lovely place for an adult woman's birthday party. The tea is delicious and so is the food, and the atmosphere is simple and pleasant. It's quiet enough that you can all hear each other, and everyone in the room seems to be friends. Would totally go again.

One of my happy places! You can't go wrong having a tea party here.

Such a fun experience. The food and tea were delicious, our group particularly enjoyed the goat cheese sandwiches and lavender white chocolate madeleines. The scones were an excellent balance of savory and sweet to bridge between desserts and finger sandwiches. Both the egg and chicken salads were fresh and a good consistency. The bread was fresh. The place settings are adorable and the staff is very friendly. Accommodated our nut-free and gluten free allergies well. Will definitely be back! 4 stars only because communicating over email for planning the reservation was a little clunky.
Cozy place and a lovely local spot for afternoon tea. Visited with a friend and we had a nice time catching up and definitely didn't feel rushed. We've been to couple local places for afternoon tea and enjoyed the tea selection best here. Serves the typical English sandwiches, scone, and dessert fare without much pizzaz or experimentation. Best price in town, too
It is a nostalgic place and it has a great cozy atmosphere for an evening gathering with friends and family. Great sweets and finger food. I took a star for not including the prices in the menu and it was very expensive. We could have lunch or dinner for the same price.

Delicious food, great tea selection and kind, helpful staff. It was a fun experience to share with friends. AT $30 per person for snack portion food rather than full lunch portion food its expensive, but the "afternoon tea" type places you're paying for the overall tea party experience too.
I would recommend this place to others. I only left off a star because our table was cleared without asking if we were done since there was a reservation after ours. The savory sandwhiches were just okay. There was not a lot of flavor in them, but they were not stale. The sweet pastries were mostly good. The Madeline they serve is delicious. The scone was very dry. The tea was delicious. I had Orange Cinnamon Spice, and it was just so flavorful. The staff overall were attentive.
I had a lemon tea which was light and citrusy. The finger sandwiches are good, so are the pastries. My personal favorite was the plain scone with clotted cream

Enjoyed getting your own tea pot, and the food was delicious! The service was really slow. We got served after someone who came in after us. It was also very loud inside. Didn’t feel as cozy as it should have been, but it was still a nice experience!

The teas were all refreshing and the food was amazing! The ambience is cozy and nice, albeit a little small. We were 5 girls trying to enjoy a quiet afternoon on a cold New England weekend, with some hot tea, but it didn’t feel like the people there were very happy to have us. The service was about ok and the staff was borderline rude to us and we didn’t really feel very welcome. Could have been an off day but that was our experience.

11/25/25 update: Adel did reach out. Was indeed an unfortunate combination of poor timing for the newest location with the newest set of staff. She took the feedback in stride, and there was assurance that such an experience shall not be repeated. - My group’s recent experience at the Arlington location was disappointing enough that I feel it’s important to share—especially given how consistently wonderful our visits to the Belmont location have been. Context: The reservation for eight people at 1:00 pm on Nov. 23, 2025 was made & confirmed on October 26, 2025. Adel, the owner, messaged on Wed, Nov. 20, to ask to have the reservation moved. Please see attached screenshots. Although we appreciated the complimentary prosecco offered as a consolation, it did very little to make up for the problems that began well before we were seated. Several members of our group (and guests from other parties as well) were left waiting outside in the cold for an additional ten minutes past the updated 1:30 PM start time we were assured. One of our guests was even met with an unnecessarily curt response when she simply asked for a status update. And because half of our group included non-drinkers and underage attendees, the prosecco itself was not an appropriate or inclusive gesture. Once we finally sat, the tea service and food were enjoyable and consistent with the quality we had always experienced at the other Vintage Tea locations. But because of the delay, everything felt rushed. The window of time we had left did not allow us to relax and savor the experience the way afternoon tea is meant to be enjoyed. What made the situation more frustrating was that I had texted our full order and all dietary restrictions in advance, specifically to streamline service given the delayed start. Unfortunately, none of that information seemed to have made it to the Arlington staff (who I want to emphasize were kind and attentive otherwise). We had to repeat every detail: identifying the guest with a nut allergy (whose set was still not adjusted, leaving components she could not eat), noting the need for a vegetarian set, and re-explaining what had already been provided in writing. Another discouraging moment came when the bill was brought out soon after two members of the group—whose early departure I had communicated beforehand—stepped out at 2:30 PM. This made the rest of us feel rushed and unwelcome, and as a result, we cut our visit short even though we still had time remaining in our reservation. For three women in our group, this was their first time attending a tea event with me, and all of them had traveled a considerable distance. As the organizer, I left feeling embarrassed and responsible for what turned out to be a subpar experience. To summarize the core issues: • We agreed to the delayed start time with the clear impression that our table would be fully prepped by 1:30 PM and that only tea selections would remain. This was not the case. • The communication about the prior private party implied it would end around 1 PM, with thirty minutes allotted to reset the space. Instead, it appeared the private event continued well past that point, and 1:30 PM guests were left waiting outside. • If the earlier event was always scheduled to end at 1:30 PM, that should have been communicated directly. If it was supposed to end at 1 PM, the staff should have ensured a timely turnaround so that incoming reservations were not negatively affected. • The delays and logistical issues created the impression that the earlier private party was prioritized over honoring the reservations that followed. I left feeling deeply disappointed, not just because the experience fell short, but because it stood in stark contrast to the excellent service we had known from the Belmont location in the past. I truly hope management will address these issues so future guests are not put in a similar position. At this point, I have serious reservations about booking again at the Arlington location.

The service was excellent and friendly. The teapot that my tea was served in had a crack on the rim and the line from the crack extended down the side. Two of the tea cups on our table were badly stained on the inside. (tea residue) The cutlery was not the same quality as that in the Lexington location. The knife was bent. The state of the utensils and the china did not make for an appealing setting for the tea.
I’ve had my fair share of high tea and know my way around and this experience left me quite disappointed. We drove around two hours to reach this location as it was somewhere we had not yet been to. The food was alright definitely not worth the price for the selection and portions. I’ve been to quite a few other high tea locations and they’ve had better quality and pricing as well as portions fitting the price. High tea is generally meant to have much much less food than a standard lunch meal but this selection was minuscule compared to other places I’ve tried. The staff member on shift was unfriendly and seemed very uninterested and unwelcoming overall. Though I did give a 20% tip because I am always afraid of tipping poorly even when receiving sub par service. The location was alright, it definitely had everyone squished in close quarters with only one small room and very tiny tables which we (party of 2) had to squeeze all our food, plates, tea cups and pots, etc onto. Even though we were a small party it was still too little room for the amount of things on the table. The room was very warm and stuffy though that may have been due to the proximity I could have felt crowded so others may not have felt the way I did in that instance. Though the decor was nice and the tea came out warm and delicious, unfortunately there isn’t much else I can say positively about this location. I’ve been to the Lexington location before and staff are much more welcoming there so I will definitely not be coming back to the Arlington location I would most likely give the Lexington location another go. In all, for a party of two we spent nearly $80 for reference.

Terrible food- tea was good - sandwiches were skimpy and uninteresting- scones were hard and canoli was soft and terrible- the outer shell should be hard and inside creamy- these were the worst ever…. A disappointing experience
