I LOVE this place. I probably get something from here once a week. Their tabouleh has me hooked! I love the flavor and freshness. Just about everything I have had from their menu is amazing. I love their combo options because you get to pick three different things and it comes with pita for less that $15. Their shwarma's are all very good and cooked to perfection. I also love their gyro fattoush salad; it has a great flavor and it is not oily like most gyro meat. Their lentil soup has a great flavor and is great for cold days, They even have topped off the rest of my soup bowl when I asked for a Togo cup. I always feel so good after I eat because of how healthy and fresh the ingredients are. . The staff is very friendly and definitely treat their frequent guests great.
Tasty! Tasty! Tasty! Really enjoyed my Lamb Shawarma and chicken kabob on the patio. The lentil soup was flavorful and hot. The best baklava on the Central Coast! Nice upbeat crew at your service. Nice casual venue. Truly a gem and a must stop.
Most authentic gyro I have had. I don't like lamb but love gyros. Usually I get beef or chicken. This was an amazing experience. The staff was amazing. The food looks and tasted amazing. Definitely a must try!
The best Mediterranean out there. Gave me extra gyro free of charge just because they had some ready. Always consistently good, not once have I been disappointed. Get the ice tea with lemon with a gyro combo and your set!
Cannot speak highly enough about Jaffa! We frequent them for lunch and they always over deliver — they’re fast, friendly and delicious! We had them cater a recent event and will definitely make the same decision for future events. Food was delivered hot, on time, and was reasonably priced. All of our guests loved the kabobs, condiments, and were raving about the veggies, any leftovers we had were quickly commandeered! Thank you, Jaffa!
Excellent! Fresh and delicious. Our faves are the hot shawarma chicken pita wrap and beef shawarma plate. Always add a $2 side of hummus cause I can’t get enough! Worth ever penny. And fantastically friendly staff.
Healthy, tasty Mediterranean food at reasonable prices. There are areas to dine outside as well as indoors. The atmosphere is casual and ordering is at the counter. It's great for take out or a quick bite to eat.
Fantastic place! The staff is super friendly and just creates such a welcoming environment. The food was top tier! Ill make this my go to when I'm in town!
Excellent! My daughter and I ate there. It was her first time….my second. Delicious and fresh. Everything tasty. Not a fan of the Saffron spice in the rice but still delicious. I like to eat outside in their little courtyard. We ate and listened to the music playing across the street. A must try if you are craving Mediterranean cuisine. 👍🏻
Very good Mediterranean food!!! We ordered loaded fries and gyros. Amazing taste!!!!!!!!!!! Very reasonable price and fast service!!!!
Delicious, nice small home town atmosphere, friendly !
Great place to eat too bad they closed in Santa Maria but this place in Arroyo Grande is a great location
My grandma brought me here while I was in town, and they have the BEST lentil soup I have ever tasted! It's just so flavorful and delicious. Add some of the green sauce that they have and you're good to go! Also their fresh-made bread was absolutely AMAZING. It came out hot and perfect and was just heavenly. I look forward to coming back next time I'm in town to try some of their other dishes, but if anything, just come in for the soup, you won't be disappointed!
Delicious, quick, healthy, filling. Super flavorful kifta, and their baklava had so many layers of different but complimentary flavors, I was totally blissed out. The atmosphere is kinda cafeteria style. On a packed, rainy day, it can feel a little tight, but there's a lot of outdoor seating for the sunny warmer days. I'd come back here any time for middle eastern staples, and a great variety. 🙌
Awesome food, very healthy. My favorite is the gyro plate with the lentil soup Update on 9/5/2023 Food is still good. My new favorite is the Gyro wrap with extra meat and a garlic pita. You gotta try it with the spicy red sauce!
Some of my favorite food is from here. The guys working here are super friendly, extremely fast service, if they're not busy, your food will be ready before you fill up your drink. This is one of the only places in town to get something like a whole beef shwarma wrap for only $10.
Awesome Mediterranean food and very affordable. Nice and cousy place with sitting inside and out. At the end, when you pay the bill, they don't even impose you to pay for a tip on the receipt... the tip jar is on top of counter, and if you want to tip, fine, if you don't, you are fine too.
We love the food here, and the service is always great. If they played Mediterranean music, that would be even better. Try the Baklava!
SIMPLE, FRESH, DELISH!! We came up to Arroyo Grande for the day and my hubby found this hidden gem for Greek/Mediterranean food. Arroyo Grande is just adorable in-general and worth the trip to wander this tiny creekside town that is kind of caught back in time. Jaffa sits just off the street, and about 150 meters from the picturesque creek and walking bridge. They have a menu of combo plates, gyros, delicious Dolmas, and other Mediterranean delights. The workers are friendly and welcoming. The food is fresh, simple and noshable. Seating is available Inside and outside. Outside the tables are right under a gorgeous old pine tree with plenty of diffused light and shade. The gyros come with seasoned meat, lettuce and tomato. However, there is a lovely sauce bar right by the register and their tzatziki sauce is the best! Prices are mid-range. Parking is available across the street and behind the restaurant. It’s clean and no frills with food that won’t put you into a food coma, but will put a smile on your face.
Fabulous middle eastern restaurant with friendly service and cosistently high food quality. You order at the counter and then sit indoors or outdoors on the cute patio where you can watch people walking by. Dietary restrictions are always accommodated. Many different choices, all seem reasonably priced. The lunch special of a wrap and cup of lentil soup is an amazing deal. My favorite gyros on the central coast. The pita used to wrap the fillings are surprisingly delicious.
I love Mediterranean food and I rarely get it. This was great! I got the lunch special and it was reasonably priced. It’s where you get to pick three things off of the menu. I had the guy behind the counter help me.
Truly the best Mediterranean food I have had in the SoCal area. Everything from the tahini, hummus, tzatziki the falafels, the pita bread and the rice were delicious with the perfect texture I will definitely keep coming back to this place 100% recommend
Very good Mediterranean food. Excellent service and price. The pita wraps are fantastic. Baba ghannoush was delicious. Try the baklava. This is an awesome lunch spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Beef Shwarma was one of the best.
Shatta was fire! The chicken shawarma pita was very tasty. Marinade on the chicken was great. All the sauces were on point. The guys behind the scenes were very friendly. Really like the open kitchen. Definitely come here and I'm def coming back. Thanks!
Awesome food great portions!! I am so glad they actually give you your moneys worth. Too often I come across places that charge a lot but do serve enough. The cool was a great guy got to talk to him on Wed. He really knew his stuff, showed me plates and was just all around helped while cashier was gone for a moment. Ordered to go and food was ready by the time got back from bathroom myself. Food came out pretty dang good. I’d recommend for lunch or a casual bite. I’d give it a 2 👍🏽‘s outta 3👍🏽’s cuz I did order to go, got a side of sauce and the cashier didn’t offer utensils or put napkins in the bag.
Went to Arroyo Grande and found this place. We had combo plate and a shawarma. The staff were so nice to us. Loved the freshly made pitas.
Phenomenal customer service. They always greet their customers and go above and beyond for their customers. Their food? I got to put it in the top 3 Middle Eastern meals I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Hummus was perfect. Hot, soft and fluffy bread. Usually Mediterranean food is bland, but there was so much flavor in rice and meat. The beef was well done but somehow it was soft and did not feel like biting a piece of leather. Keep it up!
The angel hair pasta is my absolute favorite! And the hummus is amazing! And that garlic pita is a must! Love the outside seating and how the atmosphere of the Village definitely adds to the eating experience. I recommend this place to all my friends and family! Lastly, don't forget to mark that Baklava area at the bottom of the menu. You will not regret getting that pastry. It's delicious!
Fantastic flavourful Greek food! Best I've had in years. Everything was really delicious and fresh. I'm not usually a fan of stuffed grape leaves but these were wonderful, everything was boldly and expertly spiced, even the rice was an explosion of cinnamon, cardamom, and tumeric. The ordering process was fun too, you got to fill out your own order cards and they had a great selection of sauces and drinks too.
I suggest trying the chicken pesto wrap, it's excellent. The veggie wrap had fresh ingredients, but the falafel was unexpectedly bitter. We informed the chef, but even they were unsure about the reason. On a positive note, the baklava was fresh and incredibly delicious.
So darn good! Nice folks too! Good food, decent prices, I love Mediterranean food done right! Can't go wrong here!
The food is the best! Very fresh and delicious. Service is awesome. If your a visiting for the first time, make sure you point that out upon placing your order to get a surprise treat :)
We love this wonderful casual Mediterranean eatery. Their hummus and sauces are homemade with olive oil. We really enjoy eating on the patio and recommend the shawarma. Highly recommend this hidden gem right in the village.
Delicious food and service.quick delivery and everything was so organized.reasonable prices .I’d definitely recommend and will be visiting again !! Lentils soup was exactly like Indian Dal.very tasty.they also gave us a baklava .the outdoor seating
The place has a pleasant vibe, food was very flavourful, good portion size and great customer service. Went with family and it took less than 10 minutes for the entire order to be on the table..burrrp!!

I love Greek food, and this place truly delivered! I was in town for a wedding with my mom, and when she went up to get our order, the owner asked if we had ever eaten there before. When she said no, he smiled and said, “Well, you’re going to want to try this…” and surprised us with free homemade baklava. It was absolutely delicious! The food was fantastic, the hospitality even better, and that small gesture made the experience extra memorable. Highly recommend—A+ all around!
There are tables, so you can eat at Jaffa, but it's super casual, but I think the delicious food and fast, friendly service makes up for any lack of decor or ambiance. We were picking up meals for daughter and partner who moved to SLO and just had a baby. They miss their weekly meals at Jaffa, so we picked up their Middle-Eastern food fix, and enjoyed everything tremendously as well. The guys behind the counter were welcoming, helpful, and fast and the price was right!
We had the chicken wrap special including the red lentil soup. And the chicken plate. It was fantastic and well worth the trip. Hugh and Michelle

I think I should have got the falafel, or the chicken that the server recommended - the beef shawarma was really sweet - more cinnamon than I would've expected - and the gyro meat was bland and kinda dog-foody in texture. It wasn't nearly as bad as that makes it sound, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Fatoush salad was great, atmosphere was just right. I would recommend this place, just steer clear of the beef and lamb options.

I was excited to try this place because I'm a huge Mediterranean food fan. I used to live down in the San Gabriel valley in LA and there was a huge Middle Eastern population who provided the area with several fantastic Mediterranean restaurants to choose from. So, I finally tried Jaffa Cafe yesterday, and I have to say that I was a bit underwhelmed. My wife and I ordered the chicken shawarma plates, which were actually pretty expensive at $15.99, and they came with rice, salad, naan bread, and hummus. Portions weren't bad, but the food was very basic. It wasn't anything special, and to be honest, was a little bland. I expected the chicken to pop a little more, perhaps for it to be a little more spicy/seasoned, but it was just really bland. It actually made me miss the really tasty Mediterranean I used to get down in LA more than anything. That's not to say that the food was bad, it was just boring. However, I loved their little sauce bar where you could serve yourself tzatziki and a variety of other sauces as well. They also have a selection of pickles in the sauce bar. I'm glad I finally tried it, but I don't think I'll be going back.
3+ Uber orders in front of me, had to wait, portions were on the small side, meats weren't fresh or made to order/kept in hot trays. Interior was like a subways, no table service. Expensive for what you get, typical in AG now. Oasis in PB has better food for the same prices in a comfy restaurant with good decor. The two guys working the counter were friendly even though very busy, otherwise would have given 1 or 2 stars.
We ordered 3 dinners, the amount of meat was sadly small with little to no flavor sitting on a large amount of lettuce, the rice was ok and a huge amount of hummus that had the flavor of rancid oil, the falafel was greasy. The only decent part was the soup.
DIRTY!! 🤢 I used to love Jaffa and eat here weekly. Last time we went, my husband caught the cook plating my angel hair pasta with his BARE hand. No glove, no utensil... He picked up the oily pasta with his dirty, bare hands and put it on the plate. I was REPULSED. If that's what we caught them doing in the 10 mins we were physically present... How many other health and safety standards are being violated that people just have no idea about?? I can't bring myself to eat here again, so gross.
