Customers rave about the food, especially during happy hour, and the excellent service, with Dell, the manager, frequently mentioned for his attentiveness. Some find the music too loud for intimate conversations.

From the moment we walked in, everything about this restaurant felt special. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with just the right balance of elegance and comfort. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and provided attentive service throughout the evening without ever feeling intrusive. The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. You could truly taste the freshness of the ingredients, and the menu offered a perfect variety of options for everyone at the table. The chef clearly pays attention to detail — from the seasoning to the texture, everything was perfectly executed. What really stood out was the overall experience. It wasn’t just dinner; it felt like a carefully crafted culinary journey. The ambiance, service, and food all came together seamlessly. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable meal. I’ll definitely be returning soon! And don’t forget to check out the outside ( LA CASITA DE BENITO)
I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at Bad Habits this past weekend . If you're thinking of going to Bad Habits, please go. The brunch was delicious. I had the chicken and waffles. The DJ was everything. He definitely had us dancing. He played everything. reggae, soca, Latin, pop, rnb. Stephanie was my waitress she was attentive and pleasant. Drinks were good. We did bottomless brunch, and margaritas were included! Metered street parking available. Space is small but well decorated . There is a 90 min time limit for brunch. However, it wasn't crowded, so we were able to stay at our table and party. After we ate, they brought out fried ice cream and chocolate lava cake for my birthday, which was delicious. My only suggestion would be for brunch to be prefix. Great place. I'll definitely be returning.
This place has it all. Great lounge type vibe with great drinks and great food. After 10pm they offer hookah too. Dropped in on a Friday night the DJ was playing great music to keep the vibe up. Our server was super friendly. We tried various drinks which all were good. For mean we started with the chicken satay and tomatoes sliders. Meal we got the steak sushi and snapper. Everything was delicous. They have plenty of set ups for cute photo ops too
The food and atmosphere are some of the best in all of Queens! The live Dj had everyone dancing all night. Highly recommend night out destination for couples and friends!
This was our first time trying this restobar, everything was great! Food was 100% good, service was also 100% especially with Dell, the manager. He made sure we were comfortable and having fun. 5 stars!
Great experience overall. The food and atmosphere were excellent, but what really stood out was the general manager, Dell. He was extremely accommodating, attentive, and genuinely helpful, making sure everything went smoothly and that we were well taken care of. His professionalism and customer service truly made a difference. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Where do I begin, It’s hard to describe this place of you haven’t been, the aesthetic, the food, the drinks, MANAGEMENT, what a great place to go to. We went for my husband’s party and it didn’t disappoint. it would recommend them to everyone in the world if I could. The botttle service, THE DRINK, JESUS, if you want to find a not as popular place but still with good vibes that bring you back home, COME HERE. 100%. I love it here and I recommend it exponentially!!!
The food was really good, the drinks were strong. We went during the happy hour which was nice. It starts at 4:00 p.m. At least at this time when we went. I like how they have the happy hour deal which is whatever they have on the menu and half off on the drinks. Love our time so much, My friends and I are celebrating another birthday there again.
I love bad habits, always a great time! They also have different specials everyday, so check their Instagram page before going. I came just for a drink but had to have their tacos in a fried plátano shell, sooo good. Their whole menu is delicious, and their frozen drinks are great, but I was in a wine mood this day. DJ Camilo has been decorating the outside really nicely, great for pics! Will definitely be coming back. The bartender Zuly was very very nice and amicable, she made the whole experience better.
This was my first time at this restaurant. We went to celebrate my husband's birthday and it was 4 of us. Since the minute we walked in, we loved the ambiance of the place and the greetings and how fast our waiter came to us so we could take advantage of the Happy Hour, which ends at 7:00 p.m. and we arrived at 6:50 p.m. It was an amazing happy hour, half price on cocktails and on appetizers and we were all surprised with the quality of the drinks and the appetizers; they were so good (we had the fried calamari and the chicharron de pollo; both were hot and well seasoned). After that, we ordered the food and it did not disappoint at all. The grilled salmon with the shrimps and the yuca mashed was AMAZING! I was so impressed with the flavors of the mash yuca (garlic and pesto sauce; to die for). I recommend this dish 100%. The vaca frita was also good (even though the arroz con gandules needed that extra seasoning but I might be bias as I am a great cook and my rice is famous among family members and friends. At the end the two waiters, who were super friendly) brought a nice tray with different deserts (It's the 1st time I have the fried ice cream and it was delicious) with a light board wishing happy birthday and a sparkling candle and the traditional HB song. To summarize, we loved this place, the food (from appetizers, to main course and the deserts), the drinks, the service and the ambience.
I didn’t take a photo of my food, but we ordered the “Indeciso Picadera” and it held a variety of yuca fruits, tostones (fried green plantains), chicharron, shrimp, chicken, Dominican salami, queso blanco frito (fried white cheese), and steak on like a chimichurri sauce. I also had a couple of drinks and Hookah. The DJ was ready good-had me dancing all night. Played mainly Latin music but he did incorporate some hip hop, rap and techno/house. I will definitely come back, specially since I didnt get to take my photo in front of La Casita. 🥲
Definitely 5 stars!!. Had the chance to try this gem in Astoria and didn’t disappoint us in any way. The food was amazing, I personally love Latin sushi and this place knows how to do it, delicious and generous pieces, drinks were algo good. If you’re looking for Latin food or an actual good sushi, you should check it out. The happy hour has the best prices
We had an amazing time at Bad Habits. This is our second visit here and definitely not our last. The food is fantastic and priced amazingly during Happy Hour. We had the wings, shrimp tacos, and two of the Dominican sushi plates. The drinks are STRONG and tasty. We definitely got our money’s worth.
This place is popping. Not only is the decor IG worthy but the food was delicious and the drinks were hitting. I had the Yuzu margarita, one was enough. We ordered off the appetizer menu, tacos, their shrimp/ crab tempura sushi and pastelon. All delicious and filling. I definitely plan to be back. Keep in mind they add on 20% gratuity automatically, but we liked our waitress so we gave her more on top of it.
Awesome HH menu drinks on point great staff
Ambiance (5/5): Went for a Sunday brunch and the inside is dark and music is clubby/loud. If you’re looking to have intimate conversations, not as ideal. But for a rowdy brunch, this is a fun spot! Service (5/5): There was only 2 servers and 1 busboy for the whole establishment. She did a great job in catering to everyone’s needs throughout our meal. Putting in drinks before they are empty is the move. Nearby guests got sparklers lit up for ordering bottles of tequila! Food (4/5): Some of us chose the pre-fixed brunch option with bottomless $39.The drinks were strong and were refilled upon request with no problem. I would suggest having a pitcher for our own refilling but perhaps the restaurant is trying to slow us down. 3 Golpes: I don’t know what I was expecting but the meal is a Dominican version of eggs, meat, potatoes. Instead, the dish had eggs, salami, and fried cheese on a bed of mangu (aka mashed plantains). It felt healthier than the American version and had a unique taste that I enjoyed. Some feedback was that the meat was dry in the tacos. Plantain lasagna was supposedly good. Need to come back to try more of their food!!
The drinks were amazing. The server was very professional, and very attentive. The food can be tweaked to be better. The atmosphere was great, except there was a roach on the table. Took away from the whole experience.
I made a reservation to have dinner with family and friends, expecting the restaurant to be quieter during the early evening since it advertises that it turns into a club after 10 PM. We intentionally booked a 7 PM reservation to avoid a loud environment. However, when we arrived, it already felt like a full club. The music was extremely loud, and we had to shout just to talk to each other. I also expected the dress code to be strictly enforced, but that didn’t seem to be the case. Overall, I was really disappointed with the ambiance, especially since we were hoping for a relaxed dinner where we could catch up. On a positive note, the food, drinks, and hookah were all very good, and the staff provided excellent service. Unfortunately, despite the great service and quality of the food, I wouldn’t return, as this is not the place for conversation or a comfortable dinner with family and friends.
Beautiful Atmosphere, with several TVs, lighting , music , seating , nice bar area . I've read a lot of reviews and saw pictures of the food. So I decided to give it a try . I ordered the Chicharon Mofongo" with Red Sauce , and also with White Sauce" (Garlic Aioli) and also a side order of rice & beans . The Red Sauce literally tasted like it was a brand new can of Tomato 🍅 Sauce just poured over the Mofongo. All you taste is the Tomato 🍅 Sauce. Mofongo was very bland , no taste of Garlic or anything. Solida 2/10 , same as for the one with the white sauce no Garlic 🧄 at all but a little bit better 4/10 . The Beans 🫘 were the best part of the Dish. Very good tasting Beans . Worker should be more tentative being that we were literally the only ones dining in besides the 3 men at the bar having drinks 🍻. Overall 5/10 cause of the Atmosphere. Hopefully I'll give it another try .
A few days ago I went out with a friend for some drinks and hookah. We came all the way from Brooklyn because the place had been recommended to us, but the service was terrible. The girl acted as if she wanted us to leave, maybe because we were only drinking. It’s worth mentioning that we were not drunk or anything like that. She asked us if we wanted the check, we said no, and a few minutes later she came back to the table and showed us the check without us asking for it—basically like “pay and leave.” Terrible service.
⭐☆☆☆☆ Very Disappointing and Unacceptable Service – Potential Consumer Rights Issue Our experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing and unprofessional, especially considering the amount we spent. Our group initially consumed approximately $759 USD. After about 90 minutes, our group size was reduced, and we politely requested to move to a smaller table so we could continue ordering food and drinks and remain as paying customers. At no point did we display inappropriate behavior, disrespect, or any attitude that would justify refusal of service. Despite this, management refused to accommodate us and informed us that we had to leave the restaurant immediately, stating that a larger party was arriving. We were not offered the option to continue ordering, nor were we informed in advance of any time limit policy (such as a 90-minute seating rule). In fact, this policy was never communicated verbally or in writing, nor was it posted anywhere visible in the restaurant. What makes this situation worse is that we were forced to leave without being allowed to finish drinks that had already been ordered and paid for. From a legal standpoint, this raises serious concerns under New York consumer protection laws. Under New York General Business Law §349, businesses are prohibited from engaging in deceptive or unfair business practices, including failing to clearly disclose material terms and conditions of service—such as time limits or seating restrictions—prior to the transaction. A policy that materially affects the customer’s experience must be clearly communicated in advance. Additionally, once a business accepts payment and begins service, arbitrarily refusing to continue service without cause and without prior disclosure may constitute an unfair trade practice, especially when the customer is willing to continue spending and has not violated any house rules. We were not disruptive, intoxicated, or in violation of any restaurant policy. We simply wanted to continue consuming after already spending a significant amount of money. Being asked to leave under these circumstances felt not only disrespectful, but also contrary to basic standards of customer service and transparency expected of a New York establishment. This experience shows a serious lack of professionalism, poor planning, and disregard for customers who are actively contributing to the business. Much to be desired in terms of service, ethics, and respect for consumer rights. I would strongly caution others before choosing this restaurant, especially for group dining.
I’d be careful drinking in this place. The first time i went i had two drinks and i was like woah these drinks are strong. Thought it was a good thing and went back with some coworkers. We each had about 3 drinks, and when i tell you we were so messed up. And not in a good way! Like close to being blacked out . My other friend went there, had one drink and got sick. I think they’re using cheap liquor in their drinks. Be very careful! Otherwise the food was pretty decent. This place is BAD for real
