Didn’t expect to find this place. Food portions are huge so I would recommend sharing. Our waiter, Daniel, was super super friendly and asked us how we heard about the restaurant. He told a little history about the restaurant and how it’s been here for 50 years. Afterwards, he gave our party of eight two flans to share on the house. Super friendly guy and makes the place awesome.
I came here before it was renovated and I enjoyed the food. Now that it’s renovated I love it even more! The food is always fresh and delicious. The service is great and the waiters are very attentive! I love that they speak Spanish as well because Queens is known for having a lot of Hispanics. Their bathroom is always clean and I never have to worry about anything while dining here. I always get the Palomilla steak with fried rice with either pork or shrimp/veggies. I have tried their chicharron de pollo and their porkchops and of course it wasn’t a let down. If you want non greasy, tasty and delicious cuban Chinese food then this is the place for you in Queens!
Best Chinese food outside of Chinatown! The tasty food is definitely the star but the friendly staff and comfortable booths make it fun place to be. Full Chinese menu and Spanish/Latin menu - both cuisines done to perfection. Great place to go even for cocktails and appetizers. The higher prices get you better quality food, generous portions and all the extras. Can we talk lobsters? Happens to be my favorite and their new live lobster tank is a great feature. I am a purist and prefer it steamed with just a squeeze of lemon. They do offer many tempting combinations to choose from. Worth mentioning that I no longer struggle cooking lobster at home when entertaining – I call Nueva and have them steamed or broiled and delivered. First class in all areas. It is the perfect way to start the week or enjoy a mid-week treat and let's not forget the weekends!! Cheers to the best restaurant in Astoria!! Note: liquor license is pending so the virgin strawberry daquiri or virgin pina colada are the fun choices for now.
I used to come here with my family all the time. I’m so happy they reopened! The restaurant was packed so I ordered a passionfruit mango pina colada while I waited for my table and my boyfriend ordered a strawberry pina colada. We ordered the broiled seafood platter, steak and boneless fried chicken. I loved the seafood platter, I dipped everything in that buttery garlic sauce. I asked for the left over sauce to be packed 😁. We also ordered a pork fried rice to share. I added eggs, scallion, and onions to my fried rice. It was delicious! The rice was so fresh! I was a bit skeptical of the rice but it tasted like Peruvian chow fun. Cant wait to come back with the fam!
5/5 stars! Such kind and friendly staff, great service, clean place and amazing food. Highly recommend the broiled seafood platter which comes with rice and tostones or maduros. They even have that goooood chili oil, iykyk. Will definitely be back!!
I am OBSESSED with this place! By far the best Chinese food ever! I always get the boneless fried chicken with mixed rice and sweet plantains and it’s always on point! The chicken is so fresh and full of flavor and juicy.
Very quick and good service. The fried pork chops and the great steak were very delicious, as well as the Shirley temple. Would come back again
My server Danny was the absolute best! Amazing, offered me the restaurants best suggestions, friendly and super outgoing and courteous! I highly RECOMMEND! I even got a free flan dessert to enjoy after giving a google review! The food was fresh and very tasteful!!
Food is delicious and came really fast. Garlic mussels is one of my favorite dishes highly recommended!
Came here for the first time today with my husband and enjoyed a hearty and flavorful meal! We ordered the boneless fried chicken with shrimp fried rice and plantains and the Dominican chicken yellow rice. The portions were generous, food well seasoned and the chicken was tender. Will definitely be coming back!
Our favorite restaurant was formerly here, Nuevo Jardin de China, and this is just as delicious or EVEN BETTER! Total refresh of the interior too! The restroom 🚻 is HUGE now!
Great service, and clean interior. I love the pork chop and house special fried rice with it. If you're looking for something quick, come here.
I had a fantastic experience at this Chinese-Spanish fusion restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, blending flavors in a unique and delightful way. The seafood was fresh. Highly recommend for anyone looking to try something different and delicious!
The food was amazing all the dishes are well made and the hospitality was very pleasant and welcoming

Love Nueva Victoria If you never had their food before, you should. I like all they make here, and think that their beef dishes are a must.
So glad to have found this place. Been visiting their Manhattan location for over 40yrs!

They just reopened and its great! Their combination platters are great. Recommend the pepper steak and the pork chops. They have canned soda and bottle beer for now. Once they get approved for a liquor license they will add nutcrackers and piña coladas, right now they offer them without the alcohol.
Nice little neighborhood spot with a mix of Chinese and Latin dishes. We tried one of each - the pepper beef and the Dominican fried rice and they were both pretty good. Service was also nice. I’d come back if in the neighborhood.

I got the shrimp fried rice for lunch. First off, it was expensive at $15 and change for a small portion . Second of all, it was well made but very plain. Literally just the rice fried in soy sauce with tiny shrimp tossed in. No vegetables or eggs or anything. A bit underwhelming. Next time, I’ll try the special house fried rice available in the lunch menu for cheaper. I would’ve gotten that first, but it’s advertised so poorly on the lunch menu that it was hard to find.

Food was good, but honestly if im getting charge $28 for pepper steak with pork fried rice and side of plantains. Portions are small for the price. Wanted to tried it, tried it but never again thank you.
