Charm Korean BBQ is a popular spot for AYCE KBBQ and tofu soup. Customers rave about the high-quality meats, variety of side dishes (banchan), and friendly, attentive service. Some find the prices a bit high, but the quality justifies the cost.

Service is amazing. Food is amazing. Have some fun while you eat!
Good food and service was quick. Only wish they had more sauces. Ordered the premium all you can eat for lunch on a Monday.
The food here is absolutely delicious! The sundubu is amazing, and each order comes with tasty fried fish. Too bad, we forgot to take picture of that. The side dishes are fresh and flavorful. The service is excellent. Our lady server was very friendly and always made sure we were taken care of. Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed our lunch today. The portions are also generous. Highly recommend!
Only been here on the BBQ side but I always smell like Bulgogi when I get home. High quality meats and friendly staff remember you and make the visit special. You're seated and cooking within minutes most days and they change the cooking plate as often as they check your drinks. Nice way to eat yourself into a coma after a long week.
We loved Chodang Village so much that we ended up going two weekends in a row! The first time was Saturday around 4:20 PM, then again the following Sunday at 3 PM—and both times it wasn’t busy at all. We got seated right away, staff were super friendly, and service was lightning-fast and efficient. We went with the AYCE BBQ Option B “Deluxe,” which includes everything from A + B for $36.99 per person. Totally worth it—the selection is huge (various cuts of pork and beef, plus even octopus). But honestly, the real standout is the banchan (sides). Portions are generous—stuff that would cost extra at most places comes included here! Our favorites: the steamed egg, cheesy sweet corn, kimchi soup, and especially the fried dumplings. (Pro tip: toss those dumplings on the grill in a little meat grease to crisp them up…🔥🤤 thank me later!) All I can say is—when I’m too lazy to make KBBQ at home and craving endless side dishes, this is where I’ll be. 🙌🏻
Probably one of my new favorite AYCE kbbq spots. Prices are a bit high but the quality of meat and side options are good. I love that I was able to add a small side of Naengmyeon. The banchan was really good, bean sprouts and potatoes were great. Top table favorites: Short ribs Galbi Tongue Pork belly Tteokbokki Naengmyeon Corn cheese Green onion salad
Amazing AYCE KBBQ!!! My mom has been swooning over this place for a while (she gets the tofu soup but that's not my jam). My husband and I were wanting all you can eat Korean BBQ and wasn't sure about this place because the menu isn't a mile long like some other places we've seen. But on closer inspection of the menu and the pictures online, it seemed to have everything we'd want to get anyway. We ordered the B menu which includes pork, chicken, beef (and maybe baby octopus? not sure cuz that's not my jam either}. The veggies were so fresh. The staff was friendly and came by often to change the grill and offer us meats and side dishes. They give generous portions, so be sure to ask for 1/2 orders if you want to try different meats. (The close up picture I posted is a 1/2 order of beef bulgogi.) They gave us a huge platter of cheese corn and brought out a second platter after we quickly demolished the first. We didn't even have to ask for it (most KBBQ places have tiny cheese corn containers and it takes forever to get more}. So glad we tried this place!
Really nice variety of Korean soups and entrees. Reasonably priced. Portion sizes were generous. Definitely one of the larger menus I’ve ever seen at a Korean restaurant. Based on what we had, I would most definitely recommend giving this place a try. We were pretty happy with all our meals.
Solid new Korean restaurant in Austin. I love the focus on spicy tofu soup and loved the spicy arrowroot noodles. It reminds me of Koreantown in Los Angeles. Noodles were spicy and vinegary without being too sweet like some other places. The kimchi pancake was also delicious, with plenty of green onion & traditional onion. Only constructive criticism is that the pancake came out after our main dishes, and my partner said the spicy level was a bit low for 4/5 spicyness
Charm has been our go to AYCE KBBQ spot for several years. All their marinated meats are delicious and they have a great variety of side dishes to choose from as well. My son particularly likes the sweet corn. My wife and I like the cold noodles, and I love the steamed egg. We’re very satisfied with the basic kbbq package but sometimes we upgrade to get the beef short ribs added on. Atmosphere is cozy and ventilated but always smells great when you walk in. How do you like your kbbq? Lightly grilled or lightly charred?
The food was great. The premium menu had a lot of good options for quality meats. U fortunately the cheaper menus to no provide the same value. We showed up with about 1.5 hours before close but they brought out the meat really fast. And other people even showed up 30 ish min after us and still got in a good meal. If you love AYCE KBBQ you should give this spot a try for sure.
Went to Chodang KBBQ recently, and overall, it was a decent experience—but a few things fell a bit short for me. The meat quality was okay, with some cuts more flavorful than others. A couple pieces were a bit chewy, but the marinated options definitely stood out more than the plain ones. The banchan was good, though I wish the selection was a little more varied and consistently fresh. Service was friendly, but there were some slow moments—especially when waiting for grill changes and refills. The place has a lively vibe, but it felt a little rushed at times, like they were trying to turn tables quickly. That said, it’s still a solid spot if you’re in the mood for casual KBBQ with friends and want a straightforward grill-your-own experience.
Chodang Tofu House AYCE KBBQ Finally got to try this spot—formerly Charm restaurant—and overall, it was a good experience. The food was tasty, and the buffet offers three different options to choose from. However, there were only three types of banchan available, which felt a bit limited. The service was excellent—very attentive and friendly. For just two people, the à la carte menu might actually offer better value and variety compared to the buffet. Still, worth checking out if you’re craving Korean BBQ.
A quaint all you can eat Korean bbq with a plethora of side dishes! This is a sit down service buffet with your personal server. Your menu is digital and you have 3 tiers of meat 🍖. I went with the deluxe (standard) menu. I highly recommend the bulgogi 5/5, teriyaki pork belly 5/5, and spicy octopus 5/5. The meat was thin and too lightly seasoned but otherwise tender and high quality. From the side dish menu, the cold noodles 🍜 were amazing 5/5. Refreshing, tart, sweet, and full of umami. The kimbap was plain rice 2/5, kimchi soup 4/5, and steamed egg 3/5. Overall, a solid buffet with a small selection. Additionally, there are rooms in the back for private parties from 10 to 30. Flavor 4/5 Value 3/5 - small selection, limited premium meats, high price Service 5/5 Atmosphere 5/5
No better place to be hungry than at an all you can eat KBBQ spot! We recently tested how much food our stomachs could hold at Chodang Tofu House and here’s what we found: the setting is clean and quaint, a bit of a strange interior that’s difficult to explain but it doesn’t really feel like a KBBQ spot inside. Parking was decent so that’s a plus. We ordered the deluxe options and ate a good amount of different meats and here’s what we experienced… a lot of the meat is underwhelming. Specifically, many of the beef cuts don’t have a lot of flavor and taste bland. Not sure what it is but in comparison to other similar spots we’ve been to nothing really stood out except for the beef bulgogi. The sides were so-so, the sweet corn being the best of them and the kimchi just not tasting that good. One thing I noticed was that for some reason the grills here charred very quickly compared to other places which left us needing to get our grill replaced quite often. When it was time to wrap up dinner and pay they took our card and returned the bill to me without my card and when we went up to ask about it we saw it hanging out of the payment machine, not a good look. As a whole the service was decent but when handling people’s cards and personal belongings you just need to be a bit more on top of that. The pricing honestly wasn’t bad, just a letdown for how the food was. The whole experience was okay, we would definitely recommend anyone go for themselves to be the judge of the place and maybe we’ll return one day and give it an upgrade.
