We always enjoy coming here the lobby is always clean, and the cashiers are the best very welcoming!!! Food is delicious!!!
My first time ordering from this restaurant, it is a small place but still able to find a seat. Most of them just have a bite and move on, but alot of people are just take away. I order a spicy chicken sandwich and I was surprised it was really good, the meat is really tender and I really love it. It comes with fried French fries, it is really thick, just nice, the staffs are really hard working, only saw 2 person serving drive thru and walk in customers. Maybe there more staffs behind which I didn’t see. Will definitely come again.
Great service, restaurant is very clean and the food is delicious!!! Definitely recommend!
They don't always have it, even when advertised, but the Smokehouse chicken is one of my favorite chicken meals among all fast food places. You get a real half chicken, one side and a honey butter biscuit, all for $5. What a great deal! You'll be licking your fingers for sure after eating this! It's not a super large chicken but for $5 it's a good value.
Love Churches!! Not only is this a TEXAS chicken eatery I believe it's superior to other spots. The pieces are huge and the flavor is delicious and consistent. I know it's frustrating to wait but it is so worth it.
They do there work very well. They are very clean . I enjoy buying from here. Food is not cold.
I have a churches chicken right next to me and yet I drive down to this one no matter where I’m at. The food is always fresh and my order is accurate:)
This batch of fried chicken seems to be freshly made and is very delicious. It doesn’t have a juicy burst, but the meat is very tender and not dry, and the skin is crispy. It’s better than the ones I had before. This place always has plenty of seating available, and the service is very fast.
Shoutout to our server Minh who absolutely made the experience! He was funny, super attentive, and genuinely sociable. He checked on us just the right amount and kept the energy light the whole time. The food was delicious across the board: wonton soup, roasted duck, lo mein, and roasted pork belly. All amazing, with very generous portions. Great service + great food = a fantastic dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!
Din Ho has always been a favorite restaurant in Austin for our family and even our coworkers for nearly two decades It’s easy to get to right off of 183 South and the Ohlen Rd exit. They have plenty of seating whether 1-2 in the party or a larger group. It’s great to be recognized by the family and staff, and greeted with a welcoming smile. And they remember our order each time which is even more special considering how many people they serve. The food is always fresh, hot and delicious. We love the wonton soup and enjoy dishes like the Orange Chicken and Combination Fried Rice or Lomein. You really can’t go wrong with any desired dishes. You will love it.
We have been to Din Ho countless of times. Love this place and we love celebrating special occasions here. Food is always delicious! Staff is wonderful. We celebrated my mom's birthday today and our servers were great! Shout out to Minh! Thank you and until next time.
This was the first Christmas my husband and I spent apart from our families in the Midwest. I grew up going to this little hole in the wall in Chicago, where we’d return every Christmas and order my favorite dishes: duck, wonton noodle soup, and combination fried rice. Despite my efforts, I had never found another restaurant that could match the quality of these dishes. Until now! Fried rice and wonton noodle soup are simple dishes, but there was something unique about the ones I used to have in Chicago that I couldn’t replicate anywhere else. The moment I took my first bite at DinHo, I was transported back to my childhood. The dishes tasted remarkably similar to the ones I had grown up with. I absolutely adore everything about this restaurant: the delicious food, the attentive service, and the lively ambiance always adds to the experience. It has a magical way of bringing me back home. In fact, I’ve already ordered takeout three times since Christmas, and it’s only December 29th today. Haha! If you’re looking for bomb Chinese food or missing your mom’s home cooked meal, DinHo is the place to go 👍 (that should be your slogan).
This place is legit for their food. Went there for dinner on a Wednesday night and it was packed. They do work fast to get your order out. The place does have large tables to accommodate big group as well as smaller tables for individual and smaller group. They do have an extensive menu from authentic Cantonese dishes to the typical American Chinese dishes. All 4 of our orders were very tasty and flavorful. I would come back to try other dishes. Service was ok since it was a packed house.
Enjoyed wonderfully tender Char Sui, excellently prepared Orange Chicken (very moist and tender meat) and simple yet delightful Snow Pea Pods. Food was fresh and clean. Good service. Manager was pleasant and solicited our interest in Peking Duck for our next visit but I will decline because they serve the duck with buns, not slender pancakes. Parking was easy, premises were clean.
We’ve been coming to Din Ho Chinese BBQ for a long time, and it’s our go-to spot whenever friends or family visit us in Austin. The Cantonese-style food is always excellent. We especially love the BBQ pork and a variety of other Chinese dishes that are perfect for sharing. I highly recommend ordering family-style here so you can experience a bit of everything. The staff is friendly and attentive, and it’s clear this is a family-owned restaurant with a strong tradition. It’s been great to see the next generation involved and continuing the same level of quality and service. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but I’d especially recommend the cheese shrimp. It might sound unusual, but trust me, it tastes amazing.
IYKYK, Austinites. Din Ho Chinese BBQ has been holding it down for over 30 years, and I’ve basically been there the whole time right along with them. This place is legit Chinese Cantonese comfort food heaven. Sure, they’re famous for their BBQ meats (and yes the crispy pork belly and roast duck are the stars they think they are), but the menu goes way beyond that. Soups, noodles, stir-fries, hot pots, veggies — they’ve got range. My personal greatest hits lineup is long because I don’t play around: orange chicken, sweet & sour pork, pork with green beans, beef with Chinese broccoli, beef with water spinach, combination fried rice, beef flat noodles, wonton soup, fried pork chops, BBQ pork, BBQ duck, marinated chicken, crispy pork belly, BBQ duck, salt & pepper shrimp, and the combo crispy noodle. Try their house made chili oil for an added kick and pickled veggies as sides with your favorites dishes too! And guess what? The portions are big enough to feed you and your future self. Also, if you ever get overwhelmed by the menu (totally normal), just ask for Stephanie, Amy, or Michael. They’ll point you in the right direction and sometimes even tip you off to seasonal dishes. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout on a random Wednesday night, Din Ho hits every time. If you get a Chinese craving, this is the move. Every. Single. Time.
Without a doubt, one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve eaten at in the past eight years. The service was incredibly fast, and everything was fresh and delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the portions were generous, and you can really tell they use high-quality ingredients. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!
This was fantastic. A true taste of Hong Kong! The staff was terrific and spoke Cantonese as well. So nice! We ordered the salty squid and onions and the beef stew noodles with wonton. They service rice extra, of course, and the food was out pretty quick. One thing I really liked was the consistency in the flavor. It’s like being back in Hong Kong enjoying some wonderful food in Mong Kok again. Would definitely come again!

Best Chinese food I've had in awhile. Oh so good. Friendly staff, easy parking, good for groups, and phenomenal duck.
We have been eating at Din Ho for 24 years. We have celebrated family events , made memories and enjoyed great food. Thanks!

The spicy tenders were fresh, but not my regular ones u could tell they sat for a while.
Rating: 4/5 [delivery] BBQ Combo ($36.95): You can choose three meats and it comes with two dipping sauces, but no rice. We went with the char siu, roasted duck, and roasted pork belly (+$3), and all three were evenly tasty. The roasted duck had a nice juicy skin, although there were a lot of bones. The char siu was borderline dry, so it was not as tender as we hoped. The roasted pork belly had great layers of meat and fat, but the top skin was not very crispy, likely because we got the food delivered. The portion size was generous and lasted us two meals. Just note that the meat becomes a bit drier when reheated. Pouring the sauce over the meat before reheating helps retain some moisture.

This location sucks. I love racking up points as I purchase on my apps for future buys but at this location they don’t do earning points as you buy. Manager acted brand new, like she didn’t even know Church’s had an app. 🤦🏻♀️ and she was the GM. Really!?!? Educated your ppl.
Din Ho provides exactly the food you would expect out of a restaurant in an Asian strip mall. It was good, but not life changing by any means. The best thing we got was the orange chicken and bao buns. The waitresses and servers do not play games so make sure you got your order ready when they come around. Decent food. Okay environment.
I’m new to Austin and wanted something good near me and stumbled upon this spot. Their duck & chicken bbq combo sounded amazing so I figured I would give it a shot. The price was a little high but I figured if it was good then it would be worth it although it doesn’t come with any rice or anything, it does come with sauces. I ordered white rice on the side & chili oil. The duck had an amazing flavor but to me seemed like most of my duck was made up of all bones & not very much meat. I’d say I had maybe 4 peices with meat and the rest was skin & bone… Same with the chicken. I was hoping to split this meal with my bf given the price it was almost $30 for the bbq combo 2 meat plate. Unfortunately my bf can eat and I don’t think it was enough for two people to split. Next time I would have to order a lot more
What happened to yalls CHICKEN sandwich? Looks like a Tyson patty I could buy way cheaper at the store. Disappointing from a CHICKEN place
I'm a bit annoyed because I feel like I didn't get my money's worth. The food here is okay, but compared to Boston and New York, it pales in comparison. Each item in the photo costs almost $20. Please see photos. I have them in a zip lock because my family wanted to see what Chinese food from Texas Tastes like. Don't waste your time here, go to First Chinese. Much better value for your money.

So I had a very bad experience at the drive-through window, where they rung up my order incorrect when I went to explain to the lady that my order was not correct and that she had charged me for a drink when I asked for a strawberry pie another associate came to the window name Ben he was very slick At the tongue when I formed that he was not going to speak to me in that manner because I had corrected them. He became all right. All of this is on the cameras and side of the store the Internet on June 14, 2024 at 1:49 PM and I pray that MANAGER sees this and can reach back out to me. I’ve also left all of the information on you alls website. Once then, seeing that I pull out my phone to storage take pictures close the window and walk off. I went inside the store to take more food photos and he kept his back turned if I need to come up there to identify him I will. also he was handling people food, waiting no food glove on as you could clearly see in the picture
place never has spicy chicken even at 5 in the afternoon. The Jalapeño bombers were very sad. They were cold and old. Cheese was dry and coagulated. tried this place 3 times and each time something is wrong with the order.
I don’t think ill come back to this location I ordered a chicken sandwich and got the worst sandwich ever
They forgot my peppers I paid for, my honey I asked for, and were out of a lot of sides. Today 07-14-22 the drive thru system was deliberately turned off! Lady said because they only had 2 people. Forgot pepper again and was given drink no straw. Peach cobbler was a biscuit with peaches on top! Turned into restaurant at day time and I left at night! On top of that chicken was disgusting!
I’ve been to this place a hand full of times. And it never fails every time I go here something is wrong or delayed. I’ve showed up at 11 am (working hours stated on their door) and they were closed. The lady told me they are closed because they overslept. Today I go thru the drive-thru and a lady tells me to hold. I literally waited 10 mins for her to take my order. I get to work and open my box to no fries, biscuit all torn up on the bottom and tiny pieces of chicken!!! This place has the worst service and I do not recommend anyone going here. This will be the last time I ever go to this place.
Ordered a large fry as one of my sides for the 12pc family meal but got this instead 🤨 ?!?! Double check y’all’s bags before driving off.
Took the employee 10-15 to come to the window. The food tasted old as if it had been sitting out. We paid extra for jalapeños and they forgot them. We paid a total of 29.00 and threw it out. Tasted old
Bad service,I went last night and order a go grande order, spicy flavor, got home and open it just to find out was the original flavor, not the first time this happend,my bad was not to check I but was In a hurry.dont go to this location anymore
Drove to this churches from Pflugerville because we thought this was the best one but once we ordered and the chicken home chicken was dry when you bit into it chicken had been sitting up for hours no seasoning so I called the manager and he thought I was going to drive back and bring the chicken yall need to do better with the chicken.
