The sandwich was absolutely delicious, and the mocha was simply fantastic! This place is perfect for chilling or getting work done. I adore the abundance of comfy seating options and the fantastic outdoor area. I can't wait to go back!

Vibes in here are amazing, inside and out. Friendly staff, soothing decor, and great use of natural materials inside. As far as drinks go, highly recommend the Ladybird Latte… comes with hints of rosemary and orange peel, really really good 10/10 for me. For food, I can recommend the pastries here are well made and delicious. Would recommend this spot for meeting up with a friend, solo-work, coffee-date or grab and go if you’re passing by

I love the easy walk up experience at this coffee stop. Located within The Carpenter Hotel, but with its own separate entrance. Since, it’s on a quiet street near Lamar Blvd., popping in is super easy. As long as there are tacos - we are good 👍🏼 and they have a good selection, also their salsa is delicious! They also sell merchandise from The hotel. During “normal times” the couch seating and record player was a nice option.

Such a lovely coffee shop attached to the new Carpenter Hotel. Ambiance couldn't be better for a cozy cup of joe on a cloudy day - very well-chosen mid-century furniture and textures. Quality pastries. Excellent brewed coffee. Superb music - really so good.

i have been to carpenter coffee bar MANYYYYY times in the last couple years. i don’t live in austin but i’m in the area frequently and i stop every time. the environment, the baristas, the service, the food and the coffee are always incredible. my favorite is the lady bird latte iced 🤤 i have so much love for carpenter coffee bar and hotel, as i’ve stayed multiple times at the hotel as well. hands down one of the best coffee shops in atx 🫶🏻

Beautiful coffee shop attached to a hotel. The coffee shop serves Greater Foods and the drip is good. As a coffee shop with a hotel the clientele is all laptop warriors so you will get into a zone. I want to additionally call out the salted bagel which is crisp and tangy and a bit cheesy. The lox-and-bagel is $14 as a result and is the right price for the great quality. The lox is large and moist and goes well with the salt of the bagel and the light seasoning on the onion. The salad is the same gem lettuce salad in the restaurant that I love. So this is yes a review of the coffee and of the vibe but really of that lox-and-bagel.

Truly one of the most rad and retro coffee shops I have ever been to. The interior is aesthetic at every turn and so well curated. It’s impossible not to find a tasteful corner of the shop. The espresso was very good too; not too bitter or acidic. I loved this coffee shop and the chairs were comfortable and the atmosphere was chill and not stuffy. There was ample and diverse seating if you want to enjoy your coffee inside. A must see!!!! We were there over Christmas and it was very tastefully decorated with Texas Christmas flair :)

Some fun and unique fall drink specials. The milks available as creamer are pretty allergy friendly. However, I didn’t ask if the oat milk is gf. Great spot for outdoor seating. While in a semi urban location the outdoor area has lots of tall plants giving a somewhat private feel. The indoors is a fun retro vibe with 70’s architecture and decor.

Cute as hell It feels very Austin in here. The seats inside are usually full when I seem to go, but always plenty of options outside. Plenty of easy access gender neutral bathrooms, never a line. Paid street parking is only downside, but I feel that’s expected for this location.

The place is on the G floor of a hotel, the whole space is super aestheric and surrounded by cool people. Its like an oasis, once you entered it is super chillax. It is well designed and curated. I would come back.

I loved the garden ambiance outside and inside with the cool leather chairs and record player. The ladybird latte was so yummy I got it half sweet it had orange zest and was just what I needed after a 5 mile run. Staff were friendly and drinks came out fast.

This gorgeous coffee bar is in the middle of a booming part of Austin, but the atmosphere is so serene. There are so many mature plants around the building that it almost feels like you're vacationing on a tropical island. The staff was very friendly, and the indoor and outdoor spaces were warm and welcoming. Food was great, and drinks were delicious!

A great spot to stop. This coffee shop is part of the hotel. The barista’s were great and easy to talk to. The coffee was fantastic! They have a nice outside seating area and the inside seating is rustic and comfortable. Good spot to chill or not if you’re in a hurry.

Very cute hotel lobby coffee shop! Menu had the classic coffee options and unique ones too, I had the honey iced latte with oat milk. If you are just hopping in to grab a coffee, I parked at the end of the P terrys lot and was fine (a little risky though!!😄) also a good amount of room to do any work with the sofas , chairs and side tables with outlets!

I’ve been a long time customer of this space. No matter the time of day, whether there’s a line or rush, the service is top-tier. Luci and JJ truly make me feel like a regular! They remember things we’ve talked about, ask what I’ve been up to, and go the extra mile. And the coffee is pretty great too!

The food is A1 and the coffee is some of ATX's best not to mention the mouth watering pastery selection, go ask your momma! Situated right in the heart and soul of Austin, South Side down baby!

Super cute space, great music, seasonal sweet potato latte is delightful. The sitting area could use a lil upkeep-in contrast to the cool space, the carpet and tables are pretty dirty and there’s dog hair on the couch (but it’s Austin so I imagine that one’s an uphill battle)

Another over-priced, hyped up, low-quality cafe in Austin. Carpenter just looks good on Instagram, and offers unreasonably expensive mediocre coffee and espresso drinks. I have been to a lot of cafes in North America, and Carpenter has been the most disappointing one. Do yourself a favour and buy a coffee maker for your place, instead of coming to Carpenter, to save yourself from disappointment, and save $$
