Keepers Coastal Kitchen is a popular spot in Austin, known for its fresh seafood and friendly staff. Blake and Meagan were mentioned by name for excellent service. The burger is surprisingly popular. Some found the Baja shrimp tacos sauce overwhelming.

I come in once or twice a week to grab a glass of wine and Justine is always very tentative and friendly! Happy food is great and well priced as well
Highly recommend the clam linguine. Keepers and Oasthouse are the two best restaurants in the Circle C area.
This restaurant was all-around fantastic. We were a little skeptical that a seafood restaurant so far from the ocean would be good, but they did not disappoint. Every item - from the appetizers to sushi rolls to main dishes - were delicious and visually appealing. Great atmosphere and service as well. We felt very welcome here - not rushed. Highly recommend!
Great place for a quiet dinner with really good food and awesome customer service. We could talk over the music, comfortable seating, delicious food, and Blake is a top notch server. Will be back!
My order: Ceviche Verde Pro Light, Crisp, and Flavorful Con Price vs Quantity Chowda Fries Pro Flavorful, crispy, and unique Con I would have liked the Chowder to be a bit thicker. The thin soup made some of the bottom fries soggy, while the top fries were crisp. Key Lime Jar Pro Rich, Velvety, and Decadent Con None - Save room and order this. Side Notes: Consider a QR code at seating for the WiFi and Menu Service was great! Bartender was attentive and personable. Told the manager multiple times how he loved to work for this company and appreciated the teamwork (NOT in a facetious manner) Manager was helping behind the bar to assist during a rush. Efficient and personable. There seems to be something good happening here.
Found this place by accident, but so glad we did! I got the linguine clams and the Keeper’s sangria, my partner got the plancha burger - it was euphoric ✨. I felt like I was on the island of the Lotus Eaters being hypnotized by the food to stay forever. The service was also fantastic, our server, Meagan was super attentive, and very friendly and jovial! She made dining a great experience. I’m only visiting town and I’m so jealous of the locals who get to go to this restaurant whenever they want! Thanks for having us! 💙
Amazing food. I love this place. Originally had ordered a takeout, but saw the restaurant and felt like dining in. I talked to the hostess and they gladly agreed. Very sweet of them to accommodate my request. Had a pleasant dinner, and only had smiling faces greet us and take care of us. I loved the blackened drum poboy. Simply amazing. Definitely my go to order until I find another more delicious dish. My partner had the shrimp taco, and we took pictures of them as they were both just that delicious. If you love cajun spices, this is definitely a place you got to try to know for sure.
LOVE LOVE this place, my favorite local joint in SW Austin. While they have great and creative seafood options, its the absolute burger in town. And don't get me started on their fries..YUM. This is my go to burger+, and its not very crowded. Which i don't understand b/c their quality is by far the best in the area.
Fresh seafood, sushi, oysters. Nice atmosphere and never overly busy. Always a good meal and service is great. Ty is a really good bartender. Can hold a conversation with anyone. And, remembers your drink.
We have our 35th wedding anniversary dinner there and it was really wonderful. I had the special which was a filet with blue crab and asparagus and my husband had fried shrimp with french fries and slaw. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxed. The quality of the food was top-notch. I would put the fillet as one of the best steaks I've had.
The food was fresh and amazing loved the ceviche and the zen roll! Blake our server was very attentive.
Blake wa as great waiter. He knew exactly what to recommend and was nice and attentive. The food and wine was great. Thanks for a great service!
Brianna was amazing!!! She was so efficient and remembered all of our complicated orders! She made us feel so comfortable and at home!
Popped in here mid-day Saturday and was greeted by Megan who was tending bar. She suggested the cucumber spritz and some oysters and it was delicioussssss. I believe the oysters were east coast, definitely not gulf. They had very chill music playing and the lights dimmed. Exactly what I wanted on this bright, white hot day. Service and food here are A+. South south Austin is lucky to have this place.
We attended Keepers Austin last night and must say it is a great casual place to eat with a more sophisticated atmosphere then expected. Our server was pleasant and well schooled on the menu and the wine list. I was unsure which wine was best for me so she brought both out to taste. The clam chowder soup was delicious as well. I had the scallops and mushroom rissoto which again was wonderful. I only gave 4 stars for the food because I felt 3 scallops for a main dish is a little light for, 5 to 8 would be sufficient. I finished with the chocolate tart which was amazing. We were never rushed out despite being very busy and were able to enjoy our dinner. A top shelf place with intermediate prices. Well done!
We had a great time hanging out on the patio for a quick bite before a movie. Their happy hour has some great dishes and the crunchy roll was great which I didn’t expect! The arancini balls were probably my favorite and I also really liked the blackened salmon tacos.
Extremely enjoyable experience. Our waiter, Ben, was phenomenal. We had the fried tomatoes, zen roll, cajun inspired redfish with grits, and a selection of oysters from Virginia- suggested by Ben. Everything was amazing. We will be back!
Went back to enjoy more of the cuisine at this awesome establishment! Started off with a few cocktails and appetizers. My vegetarian friend had the Fried Green Tomatoes while I opted for the Ceviche Verde. The tomatoes were tasty but would have been better hotter (they were brought out warm). The ceviche with shrimp and whitefish was fantastic and the bowl seemed bottomless. So full after these apps but still wanting more My friend had the Parmesan Risotto and I ordered the Garlic Chili Noodles so I could share it with my veggie friend. Besides I had already eaten my fill of seafood with the ceviche. Both the risotto and noodles Sat well on the taste buds but I preferred the noodles which surprisingly weren't overwhelmed with garlic. (I am not a huge fan of overuse of garlic in a dish) The flavors in the noodles dish were very well balanced. I would have opted for some protein but I was being considerate. Almost forgot! I had to try out an Oyster Shooter at the end. Wow, very nice! Great food good service! Will be back for more...
My boyfriend was craving scallops, and I was craving grilled fish, so we popped over to Keeper’s. Everything on the menu sounded incredible, so we ordered quite a few things, and everything we ate was delicious. The seasonal grilled fish was halibut with mushroom risotto, and the seasonal veggies were squash, zucchini, and tomatoes over whipped feta. Wow. We also ordered the ceviche verde which had a lovely flavor and spicy kick from the salsa, scallops, Maui roll, and brussel sprouts. All delicious. We came during happy hour on Sunday (3pm to close!) and it wasn’t too busy. We were immediately seated, our food arrived promptly, and the service was great. Will definitely be coming back when I feel like spending a little more and quality seafood.
April 2024 Keepers Austin is on our regular lunch rotation and today ordered the Redfish. There is literally nothing bad on the menu. The menu described the fish as cornmeal crusted, roasted poblano cheddar grits, lump blue crab, creole sauce, scallions. I was not sure exactly what I would get but rolled the dice. As it turned out the slender filet of fish had a good looking golden crust sitting on grits which all had beautiful presentation. I tried one bite and it was very delicious. Both items paired well with each other and once again had a very nice meal. The staff was very professional and it curious it's a perfect place for bringing a date to. May 2023 On this visit I tried the Lobster Roll and it was excellent. The bread had nice flavor and the cold water lobster was delightful. The fries were really good with nice breading and spices giving it a major thumbs up. The whole meal was great.
Very friendly staff and beautiful restaurant. We absolutely loved our dinner here. We ordered a dozen oysters, sushi rolls, and some fish as well. It all tasted incredibly fresh and delicious! Our server was amazing as well. Definitely coming back in the near future!
First time here and we loved it! Meagan took care of us and attended us with water as soon as we sat down. We took advantage of the happy hour and definitely recommend the ceviche. We also loved the crab bites and had the creole pasta, delish! Thanks Meagan, you made our experience superb! We’ll def be coming back.
Blake took great care of us. Had an incredible meal and great drinks! I highly recommend this place.
The entire staff from front of house to kitchen are at the top of their game! The welcoming atmosphere and sense of hospitality was embracing. We were greeted with a Codigo Blanco, Lemon Juice, Triple Sec, Ginger + Mint Infused Agave cocktail. There are lots of spaces to hang out with friends on the patio, bar and dining areas. We sampled -Shrimp Cocktail: jumbo shrimp, cocktail sauce -Hush Puppies: caramelized onion dip & scallions -Calamari: horseradish apricot sweet chili sauce SOUP -Clam Chowda: white cheddar, bacon, red potatoes, cream & oyster crackers PLATES -Lobster Mac N Cheese: cold water lobster, shells, truffle oil, herbs & breadcrumbs -Shrimp Tacos: heirloom blue corn tortillas, keepers' apple slaw, cilantro, corn relish, avocado lime crema -Ceviche: white fish, shrimp, grilled pineapple, cucumber, red onion, cilantro, verde sauce, tortilla chips -Chili Garlic Noodles: rice noodles, miso chili sauce, garlic, cilantro, peanuts, scallions I also imbided with the -KEEPERS' MULE: tres agaves blanco, gosling's, lime, turbinado -DR'S ORDERS (KEEPERS' PAINKILLER): pusser's rum, acid adjusted pineapple juice, oj, cream of coconut, grated nutmeg. Both the food and drinks were amazingly outstanding! I can't remember any other place that got everything on point! I will definitely be back with groups of friends to enjoy the rest of the menu!
Service was wonderful! Ocean Trout was perfectly cooked with a lovely crust, and the cream complements the salty crust. The fries were SO crispy and shrimp was good, just a lot of bread for the ratio.
Service was excellent, thanks Blake! Also the food was good. Try the burger. Damn good for a seafood joint.

Keepers is one of our go to favorite restaurants. They have delicious food and keep the menu fresh with seasonal dishes and drinks. Clean restaurant and overall a great vibe. We always look forward to chatting with our bartender Justine, she always takes great care of us! Love this place!
We had Blake as our service and he was amazing per usual! Food was great, drinks were great. The sushi is always so fresh and yummy!
Went in around 7p on a Sunday and was able to grab a seat at the bar. I got the crab fingers to start which were such a cute little app and the drinks were amazing! Blake was a great bartender and the rest of the staff was so nice. Will definitely go back again!
Great spot in Austin for seafood. Definitely looking at making this a date spot now after having a great experience for my recent birthday dinner. S/o to Ben for his awesome service and recommendations! 11/10 stars

Cool, new spot that took over the NXNW south location. There are 2 sides and the kitchen/ bar piece isn't open yet. The Keeper side is open, nice large inside area. Outside space, full bar, draft selections, and friendly staff. 4 stars because the queso was very bland, the only zazz was the Pico. I got the shrimp tacos and the tortillas were very much store bought. But the happy hour is pretty spot on and I'll most likely be back
Came for the crawfish. Inside seating is limited but the bar was open and staff was friendly. 4 stars because the crawfish was pretty pricey and small but did come with all the fixings that other places charge you for. They also give you many options for spices / seasoning that most restaurants do not. Will be coming back to try again later in the season to hopefully update to 5 stars.
I’ve been here twice with my family for lunch. Ate outside both times. The food is pretty good. I enjoyed the Tune Poke Bowl. My son said he really likes the Rockfish sandwich. Chips and queso are ok. But very disappointed in the margaritas. It’s expensive for how small of glass they put it in (see photo) and average tasting. I think I paid $7.00. I won’t go there for happy hour or drinks. It’s semi-dog friendly as they allow pups on the patio, but didn’t have water bowls. You’ll need to bring your own. Overall I recommend eating there. Just don’t order the margarita.
Make reservations if possible, they were short staffed when we went and had a 45 min wait. It was worth it though to preserve good service for everyone. The lobster Mac and cheese was delicious! Linguine noodles so flavorful but I didn't enjoy the bread it came with, it was too toasty/crunchy. We also got the crab legs with the Cajun seasoning and my bf enjoyed it just beware it was spicy!
I got the chili garlic noodles. Overall they were good but not very spicy at all. More just like garlic noodles without the chili. My partner got the lobster roll and I tried a few bites, it was by far my favorite item we tried. We also shared a lobster Mac n cheese and I wasn't a fan. It had a fishy odor which is to be expected with a lobster Mac but it was too overpowering for me. Our server was great, he anticipated what we needed next which was nice. The atmosphere was decent. We sat outside and it was pleasant. There's a bunch of fans set up on the patio which would help out a lot on a summer day.
Fantastic service by our waitress, fast, and knowledgeable of the service. She catered to modifications on our orders and co plied with grace and always a smile on her face. The linguines were fantastic but the Baja shrimp Tacos sauce was overwhelming and did not allow the enjoy the flavors of the fish to be enjoyed.
My first visit here (several months ago) was less than impressive. However, after hearing they had done a revamp of the restaurant and menu, I felt it was worth another shot. This time, I was very pleased with my experience. We sat at the bar and had great service. The server was helpful and attentive. We started with the Pimento Cheese Dip and Ceviche Verde. The dip was really great. It's like a pimento queso which was fun. The ceviche was our least favorite item of the meal. The texture of the fish and shrimp led us to think it had been made too long ago and had "overcooked" in the lime juice. For the entrees, we had the Linguini with Clams and the Seared Scallops. We really enjoyed both of these dishes. The clam to linguini ratio was on point and the flavor was buttery but not overwhelming. The scallops were cooked absolutely perfect and went great with the sweet potato puree and bacon succotash. I would love to come back and try more dishes.

We had dinner here before a movie at the Alamo, and while the service was solid and the atmosphere was pleasant -- the food was a total waste of money. We started with the most pitiful oysters I've ever seen in my life. Some of them had so little flesh it was barely worth calling food, much less the fact they didn't cut the oyster free of the shell, leaving us to do it with a fork and shredding the pitiful thing in the process. At least half had so much iodine they tasted like bandaids. We left 4 uneaten. I regret not letting them know and sending them back. We got a spectrum of other entrees after that, and the only thing that was edible was the fish and chips, the rest was under seasoned and even somewhat confusing. The linguine with clams had exactly 5 clams, one of which had not opened, the other 4 had so little meat it wasn't worth fishing out. Terrible meal, we didn't finish most of our food, and it was still somehow $300. This place needs to start over.
I personally enjoyed ordering over the phone while sitting at the table as it seemed more efficient rather than waiting for a server. That being said, our server checked on us regularly and gave us the conventional restaurant experience. The food was tasty and I enjoyed the 1/2 pd gulf shrimp boil with added sausage. I chose the "ay caramba" butter (the spiciest option.) It was a good and even heat similar to cayenne pepper and I enjoyed it immensely. My dinner companion enjoyed their shrimp roll. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience however there is room for improvement When I asked how spicy the butter was, I got the reply, "well there's three chili's next to it so that means it is spicy." I mean, I guess that's a fair response but the server didn't seem to be familiar with any of the dishes in general. There was a moderate amount of indoor seating but the window seats were a bit awkward as these are higher, bartop style seating while the outdoor seating alongside the glass is lower than you. Basically the outdoor guests are level with your stomach. I'll visit again and update my review as needed. Update 10/6/2022: Unfortunately, what little positives I had with my previous experience have disappeared. You can't order/check out on your phone anymore and the food was horrible and overpriced. I ordered the shrimp vermicelli bowl which was $15+ for some dry noodles and lettuce and little to no seasoning. For that price point, I expect some kind of flavor in my food lol. My dinner companion had fish and chips. The fries were delicious and crunchy...but of course they are, it's literally fries. The fish was plain (for real, do they not have seasoning back in the kitchen?) and the coleslaw smelled sour and bitter aka, it was spoiled. There were three other tables and one waitress, which seems pretty manageable, however our drinks were not refilled and I had to go inside to ask at the bar to be checked out. I'm not coming back.
