As soon as you enter the establishment, you know you're in for a treat! Everyone greets you, the host staff was quick to show us our seats. We had an amazing view of dowtown off the quaint side porch. I highly recommend the cornbread and ceviche. Our drinks were delicious. The steak and fish (not pictured) were cooked to perfection. We will return!

Would give six stars if I could. One of the better meals we've ever had. The atmosphere is a cozy eclectic farm to table - we felt right at home siting at the bar. Our favorite dish was the ceviche, but everything we ordered (fried broccoli, cornbread, wagyu burger) was excellent. Our server, Matt, made great recommendations and his drinks were top notch. We would definitely come here again next time we visit Austin.

10/10. Nothing to fault. Wagyu, braised goat pizza and the burger, the burger that I will dream about for days on end. Mama Mia. It's a tad loud but the atmosphere is great. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Will be back..oh, and the Mesquite Vanilla Ice Cream....drool worthy

This was by far one of my most favorite dinning experiences. I was in town for a conference and ventured off to Odd Duck after having driven by it the night before on the way to another event. I’m so glad I saw it and found great reviews. I was sold on the pizza before I even reserved my spot. I’m so glad Jacob confirmed that choice. The mole style braised goat emulsified perfectly with the radish and jalapeño on the crispy thin dough. It was the perfect main course meal after the beet salad. I’ve only had beets done similarly on a pizza in New Jersey. I dream about that pizza and this salad just sent me into nirvana. I love beets. So please try with an open heart. I got a great seat at the chef’s corner and it was a delight seeing all chefs, sous chefs and kitchen staff bring their visions to light that truly not only look good, but most certainly quench your pallet. You most certainly see the attention to detail from freshness of product to presentation and communicative staff. Please do yourself a favor and try the oh so refreshing strawberry Sunday. The pièce de résistance is olive oil infused shortcake. That, the fresh whipped cream and strawberry sauce melt into the homemade strawberry ice cream with each bite. It is heavenly! I can’t forget to mention the zesty pallet cleanser: False Spring. Grapefruit, sage, juniper, pink peppercorn, lime and tonic brings forth a citrusy delight. Honestly, it paired so well with all the courses I ate. With this said, be sure to come hungry & leave satisfied. I’ll certainly will be back for more!

Odd Duck had a fantastic menu. Everything from braised goat pizza to antelope tataki. The mesquite bean ice cream was quite unique and extremely good. Waugu steak and waugu burger were fabulous.

Terrence was a fantastic bartender! The food and drinks were out of this world and the vibes were ✨️ immaculate ✨️ You'll order 3-5 little plates to share between 2 people, kind of like tapas but waaaay better. Highly recommend for a little out of the box food offerings (like antelope tataki) everything there tastes amazing, be adventurous! It's worth it.

Great place for food and drinks. The food is consistently delicious. We had the pickled appetizer, corn bread and goat pizza. Everything was fantastic as usual. On our next visit, two months later, we had the pork belly chalupa and loved it, as was the tangerine tart for dessert.

Great ambience with great views! The food is fresh from the farm and packed with flavors. Will be back to try other items on the menu.

One of the best meals we’ve had in a while! Stick to mostly tons of the starters instead of entrees, but everything is delicious. We ordered: Cornbread 5/5 Redfish ceviche 5/5 Beer battered broccoli 5/5 Antelope tataki 4.5/5 Pork belly chalupa 5/5 Braised goat pizza 4/5 Oatmeal Icebox Cake 5/5

The pork belly sliders and cornbread were very good. We didn’t like the fried quail tho, the batter was too thick.

I've been to Odd Duck multiple times and their consistency of great food never fails to impress. Some slices of the wagyu were a bit chewy which was slightly disappointing but not a huge deal; flavor was still great and temperature was perfect. Chicken hearts and quail were excellent as was the cornbread. Prices are fair for the quality of food. Service and atmosphere was superb as always. I sat at the chef's counter for the first time and what I assume to be the head chef on expo even came out to deliver a plate at peak rush! Definitely uncommon to say the least. All the staff never seems to be in a rush when we interacted with them, in a good way. Taking the time to explain the dish in detail and address any needs. Definitely visit, you won't be disappointed.

Odd Duck had been on my list for a while since I’d gotten great feedback from friends that it was one of the best restaurants in Austin. Finally got to try it this weekend and it did not disappoint! Everything we ordered was delicious. Love that the menu changes every month based on what’s available locally. Portion size and prices were very fair and the service was great! Reservations are required. I will definitely be back!

This was an incredibly fun and memorable dining experience. The food completely lived up to the excitement and went far beyond expectations. You can immediately tell that the chefs truly care about flavor and take pride in every dish they prepare. Each bite was thoughtfully seasoned and beautifully cooked. While everything we tried was excellent, the grilled chicken hearts were the real surprise—they were outstanding and unlike anything I’ve had before. It’s refreshing to find a place that delivers genuine quality rather than just hype. I’d happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for bold flavors and a great overall experience.

Found this spot via the Michelin Guide and went by myself and sat at the bar (did make rsvp). Was helped by Terrance who helped narrow down my choices and that man did not steer me wrong. The Antelope Tataki will live in my head rent free. The Fried Quail was pleasantly spicy which was rather surprising but exceptional. For dessert I had the oatmeal something (don’t remember) and their scoop of the day; if you’ve ever had an It’s It, the combo tasted like a luxury It’s it. Would HIGHLY recommend this spot.

Cocktails were perfect. Food was FANTASTIC. The chef balanced all the flavors perfectly and the sauces were all perfect. No other phrase except it works and everything was delicious! All the wait staff smiled and joked and shared the knowledge expertly. Excellent experience overall.

We had an incredible time here. The cast iron cheddar cornbread was the perfect sweet-and-salty starter—even better with the butter. The fried quail was a total standout: perfectly crisp, juicy, and the apple chutney was a genius pairing. We also loved the baked tofu, which was surprisingly flavorful and a must-try. The vibe was great, but the friendly, awesome staff really made the night special. We’ll definitely be back!

No 1 Restaurant in Austin!! The flavors were wonderfully layered, each bite brought a new surprise, with different tastes unfolding across the palate. Since it’s roughly apple season, apples can be found in almost every dish. Wonderful experience!

We were seated at the Chef's table, which is a row of 8 seats with a direct view into the kitchen. Fascinating! What looked like total chaos at the beginning of our meal evolved into more of a ballet of chaos as each person in the kitchen adeptly performed his/her unique role. I was amazed how little time the finished plates were under the heat lamps (literally not more than 10-15 seconds) before being scooped up by servers and brought to tables. The concept of farm to fork is very evident here. We shared 5 different items and probably should have stopped at 4. Decent sized portions.

Odd Duck Austin, at the Chef’s Counter: A Night of Personal, Palate-Driven Play. From the moment you sidle into Odd Duck and slide into the chef’s counter, the meal feels less like a dinner and more like an edible conversation with the kitchen. The kitchen’s intimate choreography—flame, fork, and ferocious curiosity—sets a high bar for tasting-menu storytelling. This night, seated inches from the heat and bustle, offered a stream of inventive bites that balanced seasonal audacity with comforting textures and precise technique. The setting amplifies the meal: you’re not just observing the plate, you’re watching how intention becomes taste in real time. The energy from the cooks, the quick taste checks, and the moment-to-moment adjustments lend the tasting a live, improvisational rhythm. Fresh draft watermelon fresca: A refreshing opener that primes the palate with bright acidity and fruit-forward brightness. The texture contrast and cooling finish likely set a playful, summery tone for the night. Texas pickles: Expect a bold, tangy punctuation—crisp texture, assertive acidity, and perhaps a touch of sweetness. Pickles here are not an afterthought but a defining bite that signals the kitchen’s love for zesty contrast. Pork belly slider: A classic anchor that often serves as the night’s emotional anchor—rich, satisfying, and balanced by a crisp exterior and perhaps a sharp pickled accent or herb pop. The slider format promises immediacy and comfort while still leaving room for technique to show. Cast iron cheddar cornbread: This likely delivers a toasty, caramelized crust with a rich, melty cheddar inside. The cast-iron finish usually adds depth and a slight smokiness, offering a grounded counterpoint to lighter courses. Redfish ceviche: A bright, citrusy, seafood-forward note that showcases freshness and technique in curing. The ceviche should feel clean, with a nuanced balance of acidity and a touch of brightness to keep things lively. Thai apple salad: A bright, aromatic interlude—crisp apples, maybe herbs, heat, and a balancing acidity. Expect a playful balance of sweet, sour, and fresh heat, lifting the meal with herbal lift. Fettuccine shrimp: A pasta course that blends succulent shrimp with a likely buttered, perhaps slightly citrusy sauce. Textural contrast and a clean, seafood-forward core would anchor this plate in comfort while letting seafood flavor shine. Blackened redfish with mesquite and vanilla bean scoop: This sounds like a bold, smoky main that leans into spice, wood-fire aroma, and a surprising vanilla note—an inventive sweet-smoky finish that creates a memorable, almost mischievous twist. Final note—Mesquite vanilla bean scoop: Expect a creamy, aromatic end that complements the savory notes with a gentle sweetness, leaving you on a soft, satisfying close. Odd Duck Austin, experienced from the chef’s counter, delivers a distinctive tasting experience that blends seasonal clarity with adventurous flavor experiments. It rewards diners who embrace curiosity and savor the storytelling arc of a well-curated menu. If you’re craving a night where the kitchen feels like a collaborative partner rather than a distant authority, this counter-seat experience is worth seeking out.

Lovely dinner for 4. Great service, cocktails, wine selection and most of all food. Everything was excellent except for the chicken fried pork chop, but the rest of the flavors very delicious and unique. Complimentary valet parking and very friendly attendants. Great atmosphere too. Make a reservation early on, scored a 5 pm on Saturday a month before. Very popular with their recent accolades! Will be back.

One of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had in Austin. Worthy of being considered a top 5 restaurant in the Austin area. The chefs counter was an incredible experience. The staff took care of us from beginning to end. Food was delicious, the speed at which it arrived from the kitchen to our table was light speed, and the free desserts and drinks we received were a blessing from the staff. Phenomenal experience, 100% recommendation and will come back again!

Had such an incredible experience at Odd Duck in Austin — hands down one of the best meals I’ve had in the city. You can feel the passion in everything they do, especially through our amazing waiter Thomas, whose energy and love for the food made the night unforgettable. The burger and cornbread were absolutely next-level — truly the best in Austin. 🍔🌽

We had a really nice experience at Odd Duck—the service was excellent, with servers who were personable, attentive, and made us feel welcome. For food, we ordered the cornbread, stuffed quail, and blackened redfish. The cornbread is something I had read a lot of praise about, but personally, I thought it was just okay. It comes in a small skillet, but it’s very heavy for an appetizer. The flavor is buttery with a slight kick of spiciness, and I liked the crunchy crust with honey on top. The onion butter served with it is creative and works well at first, but after a few bites, the richness becomes a little overwhelming. I found myself wishing for smaller, multiple cornbreads to give more crust and help reset the palate. The stuffed quail was the star of the night. It had bold, Mexican-inspired flavors that reminded me of a chorizo breakfast burrito—savory, spiced, and delicious. The quail itself was cooked perfectly, tender and juicy. Sitting at the bar, we saw quails hit the grill pretty regularly, so clearly, it’s a popular dish. It definitely lived up to the hype and was the highlight of the meal. The blackened redfish wasn’t what I expected—it leaned more toward Greek flavors than the usual Cajun style. It was still good, especially with the little eggplants that added a fun texture, but it was hard for it to stand out after the quail. We skipped dessert since the menu didn’t look too exciting and we were already pretty full. Overall, Odd Duck delivered great service and some solid dishes, with the quail being the clear winner. The cornbread and redfish had interesting elements, but not everything hit the same high note. I would go back just for the quail. The happy hour deal is really good too.

Odd Duck is one of my favorites in Austin. I’ve been several times and have yet to be disappointed. The ambiance is casual yet classy and the food is equally multi-faceted. It’s definitely an Austin must if you’re in to the food scene.

My family and I would like to give a shout out to Thomas, who literally treated us like family at our visit to Odd Duck last night. We were walk ins and were seated promptly outside by the mister fans which made the environment super comfortable. Thomas gave us all his recs and helped guide the courses. If you go, you must get the cornbread. It’s insanely good. We also devoured the braised goat pizza, antelope tataki tostada, redfish crudo, and thai melon salad. All top notch with incredible flavor. To be honest, my favorite part was hearing each person describe the dish as they delivered it to our table. This place seriously cares about the dining experience and it shows. Thomas’ service was impeccable and he always made sure we had fresh plates and silverware. Thank you Thomas for making sure we had an unforgettable time at Odd Duck! Also, thank you to the most extraordinary valet superstar I’ve met. Audrey took excellent care of our car and had it ready for us in moments! Thanks Audrey! Protip: if you’re driving and want a zero proof beer, get the Best Day Kölsch!

A standout experience from start to finish. Odd Duck totally lives up to the hype. Every dish felt creative but grounded. Using local ingredients, bold flavors, and the taste of every dish was insane. The small plates are perfect for sharing (or not), and the cocktail list is just as impressive. Our server/bartender, Joe, was so lovely and incredibly knowledgeable and helped us navigate the menu. The vibe is warm, lively, and very Austin. Highly recommend if you’re into seasonal food done really, really well. Great veggie options- and Joe took time to explain the dishes. Plus there’s a separate veggie menu which was great.
