Combo Donuts

We are from out of town with our kids. I am not a big donut person but went our first morning for the kids breakfast and then every morning we were here because they are the best donuts we have ever had. Amazing. Owner was super nice too.

We LOVE combo donuts and Margaret, who runs the shop. The donuts are always fresh and the kolaches and croissant sandwiches are fantastic!

I am new to Austin, TX. My father and I were walking down the road when we saw this donut shop, so we decided to pop in. The woman that took our order was so sweet and nice, she asked us about our journey and seemed genuinely interested. To top it off, the donuts and breakfast sandwiches are delicious (and the prices are incredible)! I love seeing them bake in the back, everything tastes so light, fluffy, and fresh. I definitely recommend this place for newcomers! 💛

The best donuts hands down. All the donuts and food is so fresh you can taste it. Plus, the owners are super nice and amazing people. You don’t know what your missing until you have one. I drive across town for these donuts and I will as long as I live in Austin.

My favorite place in Austin for donuts. They are consistently delicious! These are the donuts of your childhood. Everything is great, but my favorite is the chocolate cake donut. The eclair is a close second. Service is always outstanding and it's very clean inside. They have serious Covid19 protections in place now, which I really appreciate.

Margaret is the sweetest local biz owner on S Lamar. The breakfast sandwiches and pastries are undefeated. Her Kolaches are so gd good and affordable.

The donuts are unbeatable plus, one step in and you know it’s gonna be good. The clean, bright yellow environment aligns with what you crave when wanting amazing donuts. That cheery build up to a sugar treat :) Staff is warm and attentive, definitely will be back for a nice change in my family’s quarantine breakfasts.

Love this place, they know my order even if I haven't been in for weeks. Great couple runs the place, they are always friendly and I have had nothing but good luck whether i get donuts or kolaches or croissant sandwiches. They are all delicious.

The donuts here are great..you can actually taste the strawberries on the strawberry 🍓 covered donuts! They don't have a drive through but it is worth it to go inside. The lady was very kind and friendly. She was also very honest...

Great donuts and the owners are so sweet! She always has a smile on her face and asks how's your day going. The plain glazed are so light and pillowy! I stop in here at least once a week to get donuts for my staff and they are always gone in an instant when I get in!

I've been a customer for years! Great breakfast crossaint... apple fritters...kolaches...everything is made with care! Owners do it all, truly a family owned spot. When COVID hit, this couple did everything in their power to stay open and ensure customers where safe! Even tool curbside orders via phone. I will continue being q customer as they have never let me down on how consistent they are with the quality of their food and their service!

I think this is my new favorite donut shop ✨ We went around 11:30am on a Saturday, and luckily there were still plenty of kolaches and donut options available. Here’s what we got... We ordered a small sausage and cheese kolache and a large sausage and jalapeño kolache, heated up, and they were perfect. They also have croissant kolaches which I’m very interested in trying in the future. I wanted to try the glazed donuts as a baseline… and it was incredible. Pillowy soft and delicious. One of the best glazed donuts I’ve ever had. I’m sure the donut holes are incredible. I always have to get a sprinkle donut, so we got a chocolate with sprinkles and a white with sprinkles. They were both great, but I would definitely get the white sprinkle donut next time. Lastly my partner ordered a lemon filled donut, and he loved it.

Here its no frills, basic toppings but the donuts are FANTASTIC-- glazed donut was tender, chewy, and not too covered with sugar glaze. Good size too. At 99cents each, probably the best deal in town.

I’m not one to write reviews but these are single handedly let the best donuts that have ever been. I don’t live in Austin anymore and crave them regularly. There’s something incredibly special about a plain glazed donut here - one of the most underrated spots in Austin.

If I had the ability to collect all of the stars in the universe and give them to Combo Donuts I would. These donuts are heavenly. I only allow myself to try new donut spots every other week because I can’t go that long without Combo. The filled, the glazed, the twist, the roll….

After having one of these donuts, I realized I haven't had a proper donut since I moved here in 2016. Such good classic donuts with great taste and a super friendly staff. Thank you!

Their donuts tasted doughy and slightly under cooked. The small kolaches didn’t offer a good meat to bread ratio. For two small kolaches and three basic donuts my total was just under $11.00. Pretty disappointing all around.
