The outside patio was awesome! The sunshine, breeze & beautiful view of Lady Bird Lake is in abundance here! We enjoyed the charcuterie board & happy hour wine, then moved on to our delicious entrees! We loved everything about this place!!
Great cocktails, very tasty small plates, terrific views, and excellent service. We enjoyed the za'atar bread, panzanella salad, garlic shrimp, and charred cabbage—all very good. Going early to watch the sunset was a bonus.
Great experience here! The food and drinks were great, the view is spectacular too! Update July 2023: Went with a larger group and was able to try a plethora of dishes - everything was so good. The cocktails range from classic whisky drinks to refreshing summery drinks so you will find what you’re looking for. The food menu is extensive so you’ll be able to try several different things if you choose to. Highly recommend the scallops and patatas bravas - so so good. The tartar was also immaculate, just perfect. The owner wanted us to try a newer chicken and tangerine dish and this was extremely good as well - so fresh and summery. The group loved this dish. The service as well was phenomenal.
This was the best meal I’ve had in Austin hands down! I had the Brussels sprouts and patatas bravas appetizer which was insanely good, our server explained how they try to get everything locally sourced which made the experience even better. For the main course I had the lamb ribs & they fell right off the bone…I’ve never experienced anything like this. Best experience ever at a restaurant in Austin.
Mmm mmm mmm! This was a fantastic experience! The staff were very nice. We weren’t able to get a seat outside since we didn’t have a reservation so they seated us inside. We asked if when it became available if we could move outside and it was no issue. A few minutes later and we were outside on the balcony. They also have a nice viewing area for those who couldn’t get a seat outside and would still like to take in the views. The food was delicious. It was very clearly high end and the staff took the time to make sure it was prepared phenomenally. I would highly recommend checking this spot out.
Todd was absolutely perfect he knew all the insider stuff and how to make this date getaway evening Amazing. He recommended the food and beverage that were excellent. He paid attention to the little things that made our night. Top service for sure., We will be back and totally recommend this spot because of people like Todd and the lovely little hostesses who were so beautiful and kind!
It was my first time here. Food and drink was great. House made crackers were served. Service was great; the servers were very friendly. Great to talk to. Atmosphere was also great. Really beautiful. We went to go watch the bats fly out as well. It was amazing. The bats came out maybe 15 minites after sunset time.
Had my baby shower here and the staff were so incredibly helpful and attentive. Food and drinks were great, the location & parking (valet) were primo, and the views were spectacular. Love that they had outdoor seating with a fireplace as well as covering. Truly a great experience, thank you!
Came to Austin for a weekend getaway and we all agreed our sunset reservation at P6 was the highlight of our trip. I made our reservation a couple weeks in advance, asking for a table to watch the bats from the bridge fly out. Our wishes came true - thank you so much! The service was great, the drinks were refreshing, and the weather/views amazing. Highly recommend adding this to your itinerary!
P6 is an absolute gem! The view is stunning—perfect for a relaxing evening or a special occasion. I made a reservation as it’s much better as you are able to choose where you want to sit.The atmosphere is vibrant with a nice rooftop view. Their food and drink selection is top-notch, with every bite delivering flavor and quality, our favorite were the PATATAS BRAVAS!! The staff was attentive and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. I’ll definitely be coming back.
My first visit to P6 on Thanksgiving was a resounding success, largely due to the exceptional service provided by Sarah, our waitress. Her attentiveness, knowledge of the menu, and warm demeanor all combined to make our meal truly memorable, and I look forward to returning in the future. The sunset and view of Lady Bird lake and Thr bridge were a great experience as well .
P6 is where Austin goes to flirt with itself—sunset views, sexy cocktails, and that smug little “yeah, we’re that pretty” attitude. Perched atop The Line Hotel, this spot delivers sweeping downtown and river views so good they practically come with their own influencer filter. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch the bats at dusk doing their dramatic group exit like it’s the Final Rose Ceremony for insects. We just did drinks (A+), but the Caesar salad and charcuterie boards were working the runway hard. Massive drink list—wine, beer, cocktails—all curated like a bougie adult playground. Service was flawless. Ambience? Basically a rooftop love letter to Austin. Returning ASAP with a bib and zero shame.
I made a reservation for (one) a few weeks in advance because I’d heard it has one of the best sunset views in Austin, and I wanted to guarantee a good seat. I can confirm: the view is spectacular… if you can actually see it. Only 80% of the tables have a view worth making a reservation for. When I arrived, they seated me at a two-top right by the host stand, just inside the rooftop area. Technically outside, but functionally indoors. My view consisted mostly of the backs of people’s heads, a sliver of sky with direct sun, distant buildings, and one very unfortunate, ugly rooftop. The host said she’d try to move me to a table on the “other end,” but explained that some guests were overstaying their reservation time limits and hadn’t left yet. Then, with a sliver of sun showing, they moved me to the good side of the bar. I was seated in a low lounge setup with a couch and two chairs in a space that could easily fit 5–6 people, and the view was completely different. From there, I could see the water, skyline, bridge, and the rest of the sunset as the sky changed colors. I didn’t stay long, because now I felt rude taking such a large table for one person! What I Ordered Botanical Reset Mocktail — $12 Chocolate Tahini Mousse — $11 The mocktail was refreshing, but the mousse was the memorable choice. It was one of the best desserts because it was rich, balanced, and an incredible mix of textures and flavors. During bat season, this bar also has a fantastic view of the Congress Avenue Bridge bats, for some of the tables… This bar was confusing to locate. The elevator didn’t list the bar, and the floor I initially got off on (following other rooftop wanderers) looked like it belonged to something else entirely. Here’s how to find it: Go to the 6th floor. When you exit the regular elevator, turn right. Walk down the hallway to the end. Turn right again, and go down a couple of stairs. P6 will be straight ahead. There’s also a separate elevator somewhere else, apparently, but I took the one from the lobby. Seating tip: If they seat you on the side as you enter P6, you might not get much of a view. If you’re on the opposite side (like in the photos on their website), the sunset and bridge views are absolutely worth it.
Food is fantastic, I've grabbed a couple bites and drinks here multiple times. Today was weird. Once arriving as a walk in wanting to sit outside we were told by the host outside was full and we can sit inside. We asked to just grab a drink and sit in their ovely, empty, waiting area so we could enjoy the weather and the sunset, apparently we weren't allowed to sit there. I'm sorry but I don't understand why the staff wouldn't want to activate an unused space, especially when the guests aren't asking for service to said space. To add insult to injury the host told us she would sit us if something opened up, well we saw a table leave 5 minutes after we sat, I figured they probably had a reservation there. Nope, that table was empty the whole time we were there, with other guests leaving as well. Now look we were a walk in and didn't make a reservation, I understand that. However, being flexible and attentive is the bare minimum for hospitality. 4 stars for food and vibe and past experiencs, but service has improvements to make.
The view is absolutely beautiful—perfect for a relaxing weekend meal. I ordered the salmon bowl, which was super flavorful and fresh. The portions were just right. I also had the Miami Nice cocktail—it was delicious, light, and flavorful without being heavy. The atmosphere is great, and reservation is highly recommended—it gets busy! Would definitely come back.
The drinks were okay. They had a lot of that pellet ice, and what felt like little alcohol. I don't know why restaurants use that ice because it melts and dilutes the drink so much quicker. The food was amazing, especially the charcuterie board. The staff was average, friendly but there were moments you wondered where they were when you wanted to order something more.
We went to P6 for lunch on Father’s Day. The decor and view were phenomenal! The drinks were good and the food was good. The service was pretty good, too. We were disappointed that they had run out of the entree which 3 of our party of 6 had planned ahead that we were going to order. Since the entree menu is not that extensive for brunch, it left several of us scrambling to find something we wanted among the remaining options. I had the Salmon Bowl and it was great, a couple others ordered the shrimp and grits and that was also tasty, but the pork belly hash was what many of us had on our minds and we were disappointed not to have an opportunity to try it. To be fair, our reservation was not until 1:30pm and brunch begins at 10am- so it’s not crazy that they had run out by then. It was a little warm on the patio but it was tolerable. More fans and misting fans would have helped. There is a breeze that high up so we still thoroughly enjoyed are experience. This is a memorable place to celebrate with the people you love!
I ordered the market fish dish on the menu and they served me scallops lol, not sure when scallops became a fish group! Having said that the food tasted good, although the portions were definitely very small. I also tried the sufi swirl desert since I had space from the tiny dinner portion, and it was very pretty but tasted only ok. Beautiful views of the river and bridge though. Price guide (as of Sep 2025): Market "fish" $28 White wine $18 Sufi swirl $10 Tax $4.63
We came here with a reservation on a Saturday night and were seated immediately on the patio. We had a nice table however the service was not good. Our first server took a while to greet us and when we asked for bottled water (the tap water tastes like dirty dishes) she came by again to confirm that we had to pay for bottled water. She brought our cocktails and the mezcal negroni was bad. After speaking with the bartender about their mezcal selections and ordering a new drink, we were passed off to another server without being notified. Our second server Toddy was nice and checked on us multiple times. He recovered our experience here. We ordered the cheese board and Caesar salad. Both items were just ok, I liked the cheese board more. The old fashioneds we ordered were really sweet. The view/ambiance was nice but won’t be back.
