I have been searching for a place that resembles the food back home and I’ve found it! This little gem on the east side has some of the best food I’ve had in Austin. The bistek a la Mexicana is spicy and very flavorful. The cheese enchilada gravy is made from scratch and very delicious. They also have a great salsa selection. I highly recommend!

Great mom and pop spot hidden in Southeast Austin. The food is good at a really good price. Parking can be an issue during peak times because it's limited (shared with other businesses and a gas station) and some spots are very tight. Don't forget to try the horchata.

It was good! Really good for the price, super tasty. Got the Gorditas plate and they were great but the rice was okay- the Horchata was also not to my taste- not bad by any means, just not how I like it!

It's the weekend, so time to try new tacos. Headed sorry again to La Placita. I was going to do two different tacos, but they do three breakfast tacos for $4.50, if they are all the same, so chorizo she egg on flour again for me! Fillings was good. Eggs weren't as fluffy as I'd ideally like, but not bad at all. Flour tortillas are a bit too thick, but Austin, not bad. Warmed up, but probably could be crisped up just a slight bit more. Seems like a solid place. Will try again. Three to four stars.

This place is very clean, nice atmosphere with music, fresh flowers on the tables. The waitress is very attentive and took care of us, always had our coffee topped off throughout our meal. The food is good. The average plate price appears to be $10 but they have a great taco specials and affordable side items available . I was happy to find several kid plate options that are perfect options for little ones. I wish I had taken pictures before finishing our meal but we will most likely be coming back.

The place is clean. The waitresses are nice buuuut while I was going up to pay for my food and ask for a to-go box, the waitress threw away all my leftover food and I asked for what was left on my plate to be replaced and at first they said no. I don’t mean to be rude but when you pay $24 for a meal and they throw a lot of it away, you expect to get replacement food for free. They handed me one enchilada and the cashier said they were getting it for me. I said “no, I paid for that.” Then they argued with me about getting my beans and didn’t replace the guacamole that was also tossed. I felt some type of way when it was so hard to get more food. $24 ($19 something plus tip) is obnoxious for enchiladas to begin with but not to be able to take home the leftover food was hard on my emotions. They refused to let me speak to the manager and when I finally talked them into giving me my beans it was like half a scoop. I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this place. That was embarrassing and it was way too expensive for that type of experience.
