I had not been to Salty Sow since well before their remodel. I was incredibly impressed with their new, elevated experience and well-trained staff. The deviled eggs were beautifully salty and paired nicely with the honey rosemary fried chicken. Additional kudos to the perfectly crunchy yet soft biscuit with an absolutely excellent flavor. The flan was executed incredibly well, with a glossy caramel and evenly silky custard, though was not to my personal taste. I would suggest using a different sugar to remove some of the bitterness that I experienced. Overall, I am incredibly pleased with their happy hour offerings and will happily be returning. P.S. I realized upon returning home that my clothes smelled of smoke, like the kind you would get from a nice whisky drink. I imagine this is due to the bbq that is made in the same facility, though it was not something I actively registered while there.

This is great food, Great atmosphere and great hospitality. The food took like 5 mins from ordering to the table. No notes tbh definitely get everything. You won’t be disappointed. I wish I had more stomach to order more things.

They open at 4.30p. I was trying to come earlier but so much traffic slowed me down!! Luckily they had a community table the lady let me know when I called. I could tell it sounded like a full house and maps said that there was no tables!! Luckily it was just me so it all worked out!! The food is very good. I hope the salt is just in the name does not mean the food is extra salty haha jk!!! But it was very good!! The duck fat fries with an egg I've never had!! I normally don't eat lots of chicken the honey rosemary was very very good!! Highly recommended coming here!! Heads up there's a place i never knew in the morning here at the same location so the menu got intermixed somehow!!

I enjoy stopping here time to time to indulge in a lil larry. The lil larry was perfection as per usual. Today I ventured out and tried the new bacon rib and their broccolini. I love their brussel sprouts but was feeling adventurous. Oh my goodness the cheese blend on the broccolini is perfection!! I love it. The bacon rib is a fatty version of a pork rib. The bacon part didn't fully come through to me however its a nice pork meat with a smokey and pepper flavor. Its well complimented with pickles and onions. This is my spot although sometimes challenging to get in without a reservation. Of course I'll return lil larry is my boyfriend lol. Don't be fooled by the faux lil larry on other menus. Nice for dates or family outings. Im solo so that's also welcome here. The service is always on point and I love a spot that has delicious food as well as delicious and potent adult beverages.

Went early (arrived @11am when the patio area opens) on a Friday. easy to find plenty of parking and was not crowded... was starting to fill up though. service was outstanding, The food was great! Will definitely go again. It is on the price of your side for lunch... but BBQ is expensive anywhere you go these days.

Amazing restaurant. I loved the cute pig decorations. The service was attentive but also let us take our time. Our sever ( I wish I remembered his name, was working July 30 8 pm) was the best server I’ve ever had. He explained the menu in extreme detail and was a very wholesome person. The food was some of the best we’ve had and I don’t say that lightly. We got the honey fried chicken, bone marrow, and beef shoulder. We hope to be back soon.

Holy cow, I cannot say enough great things about this place. We had the chicken bites, pork belly, beef shoulder, and chocolate truffle cake. We were looking forward to special of burnt ends on the menu, but we got in too late. They went out of their way to accommodate us with a special pork belly in the burnt ends sauce and man did we appreciate it because the pork belly was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in my life. Everything was so incredible, we had to eat in complete silence!! Our server was also wonderful and very knowledgeable. Such a perfect experience. I was visiting from Dallas and will be coming back just for this!!

Second time visiting, but not as smooth. We had a reservation but needed a shorter table top and they said it would be 45min which is ridiculous bc they had several tables open up front that were 'reserved for other parties'. Well so do we and we're here! So table good up front, but the server was so out of it and it took him 45 minutes to take our order! Food was spectacular but the host and server really detracted.

Overall Experience: This place truly exceeded expectations! The ambiance was warm and inviting, creating a perfect atmosphere for a great dining experience. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff making sure every detail was taken care of. Starters: I began with the Duck Fat Fries—while they were solid and well-prepared, they didn’t quite stand out as much as I’d hoped. On the other hand, the Bone Marrow was an absolute highlight! Rich and flavorful, it paired beautifully with the fries, creating a satisfying combination that elevated the overall experience. Main Course: For the main, I opted for the Korean Pork Belly. The dish was full of bold flavors, and it complemented the Black Walnut Old Fashioned perfectly. While the flavor was fantastic, I was expecting the pork belly to be more tender—it leaned a bit on the dry side. Nonetheless, it was still a delicious dish that I thoroughly enjoyed. Final Thoughts: This place offers a fantastic dining experience with a perfect blend of great food, drink, and service. While there were a couple of minor expectations that weren’t fully met, I would definitely return for more. Highly recommend giving it a try!

We ordered an array of items. The drinks were standard nothing special. The best thing we ordered was the Slow Cooked Beef Shoulder. Wow the flavor was phenomenal. The smoked salmon was really good but the presentation wasn’t what I thoughts I was expecting a sandwich with soft bread and it was more like a charcuterie. The wedge salad was mediocre. The fried chicken was ok. Not as tasty as what was at tumble 22 pre sale of the restaurant. A little dry biscuits weren’t great I imagined yummy biscuits like Mattie’s green pasture but was disappointed.

The drinks were great, and their duck fat fries are amazing. I will come back again and again just for those two reasons. The food was hit or miss. I ordered the black fish, and the fish had good flavor but it was overcooked and I wasn’t a fan of the sauce. A friend ordered their hamburger and it was also overcooked. Another friend ordered their fried chicken and that was amazing. Overall, I’d go back, maybe just a bad day for the burgers and fish.

Salty Sow used to be a restaurant that I could consistently count on for excellent food and service, but after finding a hair woven through the truffled filling of my deviled egg on my last visit, I’d have a hard time going back. As anyone reading this knows, if you find something nasty in your food, it leads you to wonder what else might’ve potentially been in your food that you didn’t see. That said, I was not particularly appeased by the flippant manner with which Nick, the manager on duty, handled my complaint. He dryly apologized and took the charge for the eggs off the bill. As a manager myself, I know that if you value someone’s business, you certainly do more than that for your customer after ruining their meal.
